Guest Reviews
- Carly (8/5): - Very good
- Davena (4/5): - Contacted CS prior to visit re parking. Carparking confirmed (ca £8/night). Arrived - NO hotel parking!! Had to pay over £30 for parking space. Very cross and disappointed. No solution offered by staff. Bathroom - no heating. Breakfast - no healthy options. Cooked breakfast was tepid (eg mushrooms) and limited in choice. Premier Inn in Watford had much better breakfast. All in all - not worth the money paid. We could have cancelled booking and found alternative accommodation WITH onsite parking but Premier Inn confirmed there was a hotel carpark which was VERY important to us. Annoying and very disappointing. Ps. No response received to messages complaining = poor CS
- MAXWELL5_11 (10/5): Perfect for visit to Lapland Uk - A perfect hotel for family stays
We went as a family with grandchildren in tow. The rooms were perfect and fine for our needs , clean and tidy. The staff were helpful and accommodating.
The attached restaurant was great for our needs. The staff were very friendly and the menu suited the children too. We used it for both breakfast and dinner and enjoyed the food. Thanks to Emil and Sheila who looked after us so well
- Trustpilot1962 (10/5): LUCY ELSOM MANAGER GOLD ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐ - This was an enquiry, before booking. Lucy made a really stressful situation into a comforting relaxing experience. She listened to my concerns, showed complete empathy and was able to assist with no hassle.
I wish all managers had these skills.
She is one in a million!!! 👌
- ashleycO1533BD (10/5): Letter of Commendation - Letter of Commendation
To the Management Team,
I don’t often find the time — or the genuine need — to write letters of commendation. I travel extensively for work and stay across a broad range of hotel groups, from IHG and Hyatt to Marriott and Hilton. Consistency varies, service varies, and usually the experience is simply “good enough” for the nature of my job.
My two-week stay at Premier Inn has stood out so clearly that it warranted being put on record.
Everything started with a genuine welcome from the two lynchpins of your hotel, Gary and Brogan. Their professionalism, warmth, and day-to-day presence set the tone from the moment I arrived. They remained visible and engaged throughout my stay, and in my view they are managers in all but title — the type of talent any organisation should be developing for the next step.
They were supported by an excellent night team who handled my overnight working patterns and regular late-night cigarette breaks with patience, good humour, and a constant “Is there anything you need?” attitude. Not once did I feel like an inconvenience; if anything, they made the disruption feel normal.
The service has been seamless, consistent, and genuinely welcoming in a way that’s rare in this industry.
Please pass on my thanks to the whole team. They are a credit to your brand, and they made what could have been a stressful two weeks feel comfortable, supported, and easy.
Kind regards,
Ashley Cave
- U8987TAsimonj (10/5): Overnight stay - Clean, comfortable room with a great shower. Good, friendly service. Had a drink in the bar to finish a day out, also good service and a nice bar area.
- 755dannyi (10/5): Brilliant staff - I received brilliant service by Sheila at breakfast she was very helpful and polite and couldn’t ask for a better service
- TDHD0222 (2/5): Disgusting - Disgusted! £240 for a 2 night stay! If I had a van I would have slept in it! Room and bathroom outdated and smelly! Shower looked and smelled urine stained! Restaurant Ha! Again a cook who can’t poach an egg! More Brittania than Premier! A race to the the bottom! Close it
- rebeccapO454IB (10/5): Convenient location for Lapland UK - Stayed here when taking our 2 grandchildren to Lapland UK.
Hotel was easy to find, staff were lovely. Room was good. Price was excellent and included free breakfast for the little ones.
- Tourist543706 (8/5): Enjoyable stay - Enjoyable stay. Friendly, welcoming staff in reception and restaurant. The bedroom was a good size and clean. Would return.
- O8751WGsued (10/5): Friendly, happy staff makes all the difference. - Very friendly staff both in reception and in restaurant. Went out there way to have conversation with us about how we plan to spend our day and on return was keen to ask the kids whether they had a wonderful day. Little things like this goes along way.
- Expedition157166 (10/5): Enjoyable and relaxing stay. - Very friendly staff, very clean and relaxing atmosphere.
Very clean in hallways, dining areas and bar area.
Cleanliness is very important as can fully relax.
Bathroom excellent.
Very easy no problem locating hotel
- 195clarei (8/5): Fantastic - Apart from the parking nightmare the staff were fantastic. The children’s meal was also delicious and excellent value. Staff went out of their way, friendly and efficient. Room was very good value and spacious, clean. Very quiet night’s sleep too considering it was Halloween
- chelseahQ9544LD (10/5): Lovely hotel - Stayed for a couple of nights while visiting family, the receptionist was welcoming and helpful. Booking in was quick and easy.
The room was very clean and comfortable . The bathroom was lovely and clean , we asked for extra towels which as given to us very quickly.
The breakfast was really nice. We could order our eggs freshly made ,
Staff are friendly and, welcoming
- Z5416YUpaulj (10/5): Business trip - Fantastic hotel, very close to southern industrial area and restaurant was good as well. Car parking wasn't a problem and staff were all pleasant and helpful.
- L3574SZkarenb (2/5): Foul bathroom smell ruined our stay at the Premier Inn - There was a foul smell coming from the bathroom due to a broken shower waste trap of which they were aware of. There were no other rooms available so receptionist used spray to mask the smell. Unfortunately the smell had returned by the morning and we had to vacate the room early. Very disappointed as it ruined our stay.
- Cheekychappy39 (2/5): Awful restaurant staff - Whitbread have made a poor decision closing a Beefeater and leaving the F and B offering to be run by the Premier Inn. The management of this hotel need to get control of how it’s run. Three tables in on a Friday night, two staff sat down complaining about a dislike for children while the place looks dirty screams a lack of leadership. That being said the receptionist on duty was excellent and provided great customer service.
- Road81320 (8/5): Better Place to stay - First of all, the location is very convenient for transportation. The staff is clean and friendly. Only the WIFI could work a little more effectively. The messages came but I couldn't watch the video.
- RubyKitchen (6/5): Deserved a 4 - Just outside town centre on busy dual carriageway perfect for a work thing. Staff in the Premier and pub were first class, price good, beer excellent, rooms new. Food (fish and chips) hot. Why only a 3? The restaurant was dead and the portion small with batter a little soggy. Tasted fine and I feel guilty not giving a 4 but to be honest the food was just fuel on this occasion and did the job. As my school reports always said, could do better.
- Companion16352468167 (10/5): Fantastic - We stayed here as a group of ladies who meet up regularly for a catch up, the service was fantastic from check in to breakfast. The manager was lovely and the receptionist was so helpful too. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
- Fabwitch (4/5): Disruption from cleaning staff - The maid knocked on my door three times between 9.30 and 10.30am. I wanted a lay in. Gave up and got up and left hotel. Only to find all the trains were cancelled. Usually Brentwood is very good but to knock three times within the hour when I don’t need to leave the room until 12pm is not acceptable. All I wanted was some peace and quiet after a night out in town. Very disappointed . Also took ages to book in, only one machine to check inn and there was a school party being sorted out by the main desk. Very long queue built up to check in. Room was very good, clean and combed.
- Y3567WLkarenj (10/5): Great staff - Very welcoming!!
Ashleigh, Leaih, Mel, Sheila, Emile and the guy at Reception in the hotel, FANTASTIC all of them!! Wish everywhere I went had staff like them. Massive Thank you!
- L6464VGtiffanyb (10/5): It was fab! - Honestly, the nicest premier inn i stayed in (in my opinion). We arrived quite late after a concert in Cardiff, this hotel was on our way home so very convenient. It had great free parking, the staff member on check in was very pleasant & welcoming. The room was very clean and the best part was….it had sockets by the bed!! Me and my partner are forever sharing a plug by the TV when we stay away but this one was fab! Had a fan, hairdryer, very nice shower! Couldn’t of picked a better hotel.
- lucyeZ4620XI (10/5): Great little stop off for work. - Love this hotel! It’s a lovely find in Bracknell when travelling for work.
The staff are all really friendly and welcoming, even the lovely ladies that clean the rooms! Very chatty in the mornings.
Thanks to all, I’ll be back when I travel the next time.
- kacperk114 (8/5): Great value for money - Overall had a great experience, rooms were very clean and neat. Definitely cannot complain about the price, staff were all lovely and welcoming especially a young lad called Samir I believe at front desk who carried my suitcase to my room. Overall great value for money and would definitely recommend!
- RYUJI (6/5): - エアコンのコントローラが壊れており部屋がとても寒い
- X61TImarinab (10/5): Overnighter - Excellent accommodation, price and service would highly recommend.
Breakfast was excellent and we'll worth the price.
- RYUJI (6/5): - エアコンが効かない
- 364vanessac (2/5): Dreadful - What a dreadful dirty place. Finally met at reception by a scruffy person, asked for a different room that was not on the road front but told fully booked. Room was ok just so noisy. Booked a table in the restaurant for 19.30. Went to the bar first then headed into the restaurant 5 minutes early and was told table was not ready so go back to the bar. Eventually we were taken to a table which was dreadful right next to where they empty the slops and a bucket containing cutlery. No thanks said we didn’t want to sit there, no customer service and offered no where else so we walked away. The room was so noisy hardly any sleep would never ever return 😡
- Bondddana (4/5): Wouldn’t stay again - I wouldn’t go back..
Corridors smell, the hotel is dated and the standard of rooms very poor.
We had one set of towels between us, broken curtains and a broken hair dryer.
- H9761QTsarahj (10/5): A good stay 🤩 - A lovely overnight stay from a wonderful day in Legoland with the family, from the outside the Premier Inn looks run down and in need of some TLC but in the inside it’s clean and tidy, the staff were great, professional and attended to all we needed, our family room was on the small side but for an overnight stay it was fine. Had a meal next door in what was the Beefeater and it was a lovely meal, only a couple of staff on but we didn’t wait long, did the meal deal which is still worth it, gave our kids a free breakfast each which was nice in the morning, all in all it was a good stay.
- BRIXHAMPIRATE (10/5): Overnight Stay - We stayed overnight going to our sons wedding in Norfolk. We booked a
Premier Plus room and was highly delighted with the room and a fabulous bathroom .It was room 805 which had views of the Main Street.
We parked in a small car park behind overnight and we had a great freshly cooked breakfast .Very central to the town and very clean .
- figarococonutties (10/5): Exceptional service & value for money ! - We stayed as a family of 4 with primary school aged kids in a family room, B&B, for 2 nights; we were attending a wedding a 15 minute drive away.
I have to write a review because the value for money & service we received was exceptional!
Quiet hotel, mega comfortable bed, friendly & professional staff, clean, fantastic bath & shower.
We were able to schedule an iron and ironing board & I needed a third key cut in between the wedding ceremony & evening reception and this was done no questions.
We’d missed dinner on our first night but they could advise where we could get fast food & supplied us with plates & cutlery to our door.
MASSIVE shout out to David in the PM & to Nicky and Co AM for the iron and being interested in the wedding we were attending.
Ideally located for Wokingham and we also found a local shop at the wild ridings estate; enjoyed shopping at the lexicon & bowling at the Hollywood bowl. My kids didn’t want to leave !
It was a really relaxed stay and the breakfast was top notch - do order a full English because it was perfectly cooked !
- 158jay (2/5): Premiere inn employee woke me up at 430am - I was woke up at around 4:30am because a Premiere In employee thought it was a good idea to change the bin bag in the metal bin on the concrete right under my window. He then took it inside and banged around for another 15 mins. Premiere inn have not replied after saying 'No-one remebers this'. Of course they didn't!!!!
- 897louiseh (10/5): A lovely stay in Brentwood, just a minute from the train station too! - Thank you to the wonderful staff at the Premiere Inn Brentwood, constantly working hard all weekend, to ensure an ideal stay for us.
Led by an excellent lady manager (unfortunately I didn’t get her name)
Thank you very much!
- 114caseyj (10/5): Amazing - 10/10. Staff were so accommodating. We booked a twin room but on arrival we discovered that only one bed had been made up. We made the staff at reception aware, we were going out for food at the time so they made the bed up while we were out with no fuss made. We had a lovely night sleep. The staff at breakfast were faultless - so kind and helpful. We will definitely stay again.
- C2395SUsaral (10/5): Great stay, great location. - Nice friendly staff, very comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Everything was great.
Not sure if the waterfall shower was working or not (might have been me knowing how to turn it on), but it was fine with just the handheld shower.
- V3066PRdanielj (4/5): Wasnt amazing. Wouldnt visit again - Parking didnt have any cost me an extra £17
Staff on checking in very cold, not very polite. Didnt care attitude.
Room the tv didnt work.
Wifi kept lagging even though upgraded it.
Fire alarm was ringing aroubd 3pm on morning to find out theres no fire..
- martinrW7809EB (10/5): Overnight stay - We needed to stay overnight on our way to our sons wedding in North Norfolk.Booking in was a delight and very easy .The room 805 was on the eighth floor and was very clean .We parked at the the car park at the rear of the hotel. Great night sleep and a good breakfast .Will certainly be staying again ,good value ,staff very helpful .
- 657sharonf (10/5): Brilliant Family Breakfast - We recently visited the restaurant connected to the Premier Inn in Bridgend next to the McArthur Glen designer outlet .
We were two families sharing some quality time together . My three young Grandson's made up our family gathering , so we asked if we could bring across another table to help with the seating . This was sorted out immediately and nothing was too much trouble .
The lady who helped us with taking our order was so polite , cheerful and helpful , I believe she was called Sharon . Thank you Sharon for making us feel very welcome .
Another two ladies who I believe were called Lynda and Sarah helped to make our visit just perfect .
My Grandson's were given a couple of little stretchy toys and a lollipop each and afterwards a little treat of a sachet of Nutella . This was a lovely little gesture and totally unexpected !
Everyone enjoyed delicious food and felt really looked after by all the staff .
Thank you to all the team who helped to make our Family Breakfast a brilliant experience !
- 118michelen (10/5): Warm welcome and friendly staff - Warm welcome, hospitable staff, clean and comfortable bed, staff are excellent, friendly and welcoming, good location, good breakfast
- Kayleigh-oboyle (10/5): Fantastic experience - Fantastic stay visiting friends with my children thank you so much for everything great experience and made it sooo relax and calming we will be back when we come visiting again x
- eveu2018 (6/5): Weekend stay - Very noisy, Four men arguing at the main entrance and they was just left to talk and chat loudly for over two hours so could not sleep
Stairwell and corridors were very dirty and not cleaned,
Car parking is an extra charge and a total rip off.
- stefanwA8027YE (6/5): It was ok - The parking was very easy at the hotel, the hotel and rooms were clean. However, the rooms were VERY hot! No Aircon, just a small fan that did nothing.
Meal times were very slow, 2 staff waiting tables, one night we went in at 6pm as booked, to be told it will be a wait because they already had 3 tables in for that slot (not sure that's our fault?). We were a group of 7, but evening meals took 2.5h, with a wait of almost an hour for the meal (which is not ideal with 3 kids).
We will still be back, because the location and cost only
- U68LAsallyh (2/5): Dreadful - Terrible parking facilities - nearest was station which only covered the car til 4.30am ridiculous so ended up paying 2 days
Hotel shabby couple making out on stairwell - publicly
Deffo avoid and I will remove from our business booker
- mirians967 (8/5): Highly recommended but ask for more towels - The Premier Inn in Brentwood was very good. I will certainly stay there again and highly recommend it.
The room was clean, comfortable and quiet.
The only disadvantages were only two tea bags and no coffee in our room plus just one hand towel and one bath towel.
It would be useful to be told when booking in, where to get more.
- 546sallyy (10/5): A great nights sleep - Loved the attention given to provide a quiet room. Good air conditioning to get the temperature right with clear easy instructions. I slept like a log. Excellent breakfast service. Two wonderful members of staff, Sharon and Helene couldn’t have been kinder and more helpful. Well done Premier Inn. High standard as always.
- elisef925 (6/5): Review - The room was lovely but the staff were rude. We attempted to talk to them and they just ignored us and walked off. There was also shouting and fighting on the car park and police turning up which then scared my young child
- IloveTravelandTouris (6/5): Not up to usual Premier Inn standard - It took 2 rings of bell to alert someone on arrival and it was stressful with 20 minute waiting limit. Only one bath towel and no tea or coffee; not up to usual Premier Inn standard. However, bar staff were very pleasant.
- MartineS89 (10/5): Good value - Very good value, clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff and perfect location for us, easy connection into London but also close to family.
- Marigold1309 (10/5): Centre located hotel with added food and drink options for room stays. - A few nights were spent here for a local event that was being undertaken and this place was in the right area, breakfast and an evening meal was had and rooms were of good quiet quality for the stay that was being had. There is an option to add an evening meal to the deal that was being taken in the hotel that stay.
- Aloan93 (10/5): Lovely stay - Hotel is lovely and clean
Breakfast was delicious and made to order.
Only downside was the fan as it seemed like we either had a faulty one or it was just one power savings as hardly give us any cool air. Parking was a bit of a nightmare as all spaces taken up outside the hotel but managed to get the mini bus in across of it.
Miller and Carter is next to it which was nice to go for drinks but couldn't get in as too many of us
- N4707EEcraigl (4/5): In need of TLC and a good duster!! - Dated hotel. Needs some TLC. Hotel room was very unclean. Standing dust on desk, lights, and fan etc. No air con in the room so very hot. Fortunately we checked the fan provider before turning it on otherwise an inch of dust would have been blown into the room. Room looks like it hadn’t been dusted or ironed in years. Hotel generally felt unclean and same in pub/restaurant. Staff were lovely though but it appeared 2 people were doing all the jobs. Definitely wouldn’t return to this hotel but we do love premier inn.
- Odyssey35004407108 (10/5): Comfortable and clean - The room was very clean and there was sufficient parking even though we got there after midnight for check-in. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We are a vegan family and like the fact that they provide full cooked breakfast options for us so we don't feel that we have to miss out or make do.
- andreadE5823IH (10/5): “Maybe tomorrow” only phonics fans would understand.. - Girls weekend
My friend and I were going to see the Stereophonics in Cardiff
So we booked here and caught the train to Cardiff,
We had asked for an early check in which was fab as it allowed us to have a breather before venturing out again. We had a fab welcome from the lady on reception sorry I didn’t get her name but she had fab bright pink nails, she has booked us into a downstairs room which was heaven as it was nice and cool down there it was 37degrees outside.
We had a fab sleep and went up for breakfast, I opted for the veggie breakfast and it was delicious, the bacon well it’s called”it’s not bacon” was yummy it tasted like bacon but its appearance was nothing like bacon.
The poached eggs were to die for and the chef even came out to have a chat with us.I told her the breakfast was great and that I enjoyed the “it’s not bacon” she was delighted to think I had taken the time to say how nice it was. Would definitely stay here again, great value for money and central to Cardiff,Swansea and a great little outlet for shopping next door along side a big Sainsbury’s.
Thank you team Bridgend for a fab stay.
- K6082YVdavidh (8/5): Hotel is a bit tired but the staff were great - Was a comfortable stay in a good location for work, yes I'd have like air-conditioning but I wouldn't have had it if I'd been staying at home. The staff were so helpful and couldn't do enough to help. Mel was fantastic as were the two ladies serving at night but I didn't catch their names
- sharonbW1084AO (10/5): Visit to cardiff - We were going to see sterephonics on friday 11th july. Stayed at this premier inn for the 1st time. Wow what a welcome we had. The manager sarah is an absolute credit to you, and Helena that was on reception. These ladies were wonderful. Thank you both for such a lovely stay. Hope to see you again very soon.
- 222jacquiec (6/5): Nice but could have been a little better - Lovely clean room, however the toilets in both of the rooms were dirty. One hadnt been flushed the other had skidders. There was no toilet brush to clean it either. They were left by the previous person. Rooms have been renovated since my last visit and were nice. No air conditioning so a little warm. There was a fan which helped a little. Overall not bad but iron out the little niggles. Receptionist was lovely when we arrived. There was icy cold water on the reception desk which was a nice touch and welcome as it was super hot. I heard a dog barking a few times. House are not they close so not sure where it was coming from..overall a nice stay with little niggles. Would definitely use again though
- 298clairew (4/5): Poor service - Only went to have breakfast at the hotel on our way to West Wales. What a massive disappointment! We arrived at about 9:30am and ordered our food pretty quickly. We then waited eagerly for it to arrive. It took 40 minutes which was abysmal service.
When I asked why it had taken so long, I was told that hotel guests who arrived in the restaurant after my husband and I were served before us due to hotel policy of serving the hotel guests BEFORE any non-residential guests.
This policy is unfair and needs to be changed. 'Restaurant apartheid' is the term that my husband used for the poor service that we received today!
- V72056 (10/5): Amazing Hotel - Visited for friends birthday hotel was spotless staff so friendly, breakfast was amazing and hot took ur cooked breakfast order not like the normal help yourself buffet style, the manager Sarah was very friendly and helpful so we're all the staff we come across, will definitely be back.
- SAW060913 (10/5): Comfortable night sleep - Lovely friendly polite staff . Accessible hotel with plenty of parking. Clean and comfortable room with fresh bedding and towels. Shower hot and easy to use. Food cooked fresh and served hot with plenty of choice. Easy access to motorway. All in all a great experience.
- 88mitchm (10/5): Great venue for access to Cardiff and ideal for all the family to stay - Great clean room, lovely bathroom, quiet hotel, fantastic staff. On top of that your handy for shops, restaurants, Motorway and public transport (especially to. Cardiff). Situated next to Miller & Carter and beside McArthur Glen Shopping village there’s enough to keep you entertained on site. Next to bus stop for direct travel to Cardiff if you don’t want to drive
- seancT1968IA (10/5): Quiet weekend to chill. And visit family with a trip to the shopping mall. - The breakfast staff was amazing especially Sharon she couldn’t do enough for us out standing. We had a wonderful time thank you all.would definitely be coming back soon.also the rest of the staff were so helpful and room was spotless overall very pleased.
- SianGreest (10/5): Amazing stay - Absolutely amazing staff always helpful Kelly at reception helped us loads very friendly Karen on nights very friendly the room was spotless bed was very comfortable Sharon waitress was quick taking orders friendly helped us with any questions asked breakfast was lovely loads to choose from Absolutely great value for money would definitely stay again recommend to friends and family
- Ianina (10/5): - Great hotel for the area. Comfy stay
