Guest Reviews
- Josefin (8/5): - Trevlig personal! Elementet fungerade inte i rummet men ett elektriskt fanns på plats. Frukost lagas på beställning.
- Radtel (4/5): Our last stay - To start off, due to a Premier Inn IT problem, when we booked our stay, we never received a confirming email. We phoned to have this corrected and PI rebooked the room for us. However, we were then billed twice.
We contacted PI several times (not easy from Vancouver and not cheap) and were told that the problem was “in limbo” and would be fixed soon. It never was. We continued to make calls, with no result. We had to have our Credit Card company chase after PI. They finally got our money back. No apology from PI.
Our hotel stay was not great. I have stated this before but again, the check-in equipment was not functioning properly and we had to have a staff member process our room.
Our room was about as far away from the lifts as it could possibly be. The room was about 28 degrees when we entered. The phone was not working (the wall jack was broken). We didn’t realize this until we were ready for bed & wanted to set a wake-up call, and couldn’t.
The handheld shower had come unscrewed so, I had to fix it (couldn’t call…).
We went down for dinner, ordered our food and waited an hour before the mains were delivered (and this was only after asking where it was).
So, even though we have stayed at PI many times, it is now likely time for a permanent change.
We will not be surprised if we receive no response from this review.
- 956dianb (10/5): Kind Kelly - 28November I was making a dinner reservation with Kelly, I had had a distressing day, Kelly asked if I was OK and I told her what a terrible day I had. Went to our room after dinner, found a bottle of wine and chocolates plus the kindest message from Kelly. Thank you so much xx
- SanchezOnTour (8/5): A good stay - Just stayed for one night as a solo traveller.
Arrived just after 3pm and I used a self service machine to check myself in, very easy.
I was on floor 3 and put in a triple room.
Very spacious / clean room. Big fan of the purple mood lighting.
Restaurant had a big queue as did the bar, so took the shuttle train to South Terminal and McDonalds is a 5min walk from there.
Had a good nights kip before an early flight and would use again.
- HookedOnTravel255103 (8/5): Excellent location - Very conveniently situated opposite Gatwick's North Terminal, this hotel offers large, quiet rooms with a very comfortable bed and plenty of space on the lounge for luggage. Staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast is good and I can recommend the fish and chips for dinner
- KevinMunzeiwa (10/5): Overnight Stay - Room had amazing ambiance with LED lighting & exceptionally clean
Waitress Jin, she was extremely great at service!
Food was prompt!
- dodgymoves2 (10/5): Great food - Lovely food efficient service and friendly staff (Jin was our server and was very good)
Nice atmosphere and good value
Thumbs up
- Y2014KNsteved (10/5): Perfect stay at Gatwick North - Great location for the airport, departures across the rd.Had an early flight and they do breakfast from 4am so all was perfect. The rooms are spotless, big comfy bed with great showers.Check in was simple..DIY.Special mention to Dipson at breakfast, great chap helpful and friendly.
- davidbO3507PD (10/5): Good value - Modern, clean room with a comfortable bed and decent shower.
Self check in was easy, and there's a drop box for the key just as you leave the building which means you don't have to go back to reception (the exit is on a different floor to the reception). Overall this hotel was excellent value for money.
- estbrom (10/5): Brilliant beds - The bed and pillows were perfect and we both had a good night's sleep. Quality of the food was good and served nice and hot. When we travel, we always stay in the Premier Inn if available. Always good.
- yagoo84 (10/5): Great service (Marwan) - Service by Marwan was impecable, he was very friendly, approachable and attentive. I was having a horrible day and he made it better!
- Q9024KHsusans (10/5): excellent - Very friendly staff, very comfortable room, especially Mr Dipsun excellent customer service. Would definitely recommend to family and friends next time we travel.
- pault1970london (10/5): Excellent customer service - Upon check in Julia was excellent getting us settled in , and Katie sorted out some essentials and shared some local knowledge.
The place was excellent place to be to fly from Gatwick north terminal , breakfast and room were great, and we had a fantastic sleep. Your hotel manager and team should be proud of your hotel 10/10
- PhilGemPep (10/5): Love premier inn, always a great stay - Love premier inn, comfy rooms, hot showers, decent breakfast, you know what you are getting and can rely on premier inn. Nisha booked us in at around midnight after a late flight in from holiday and she was bright and happy to see us even though she was supporting a new starter with training and it was effectively the middle of the night.
Bonus points to the hotel being 5 minutes walk from arrivals. Would definitely stay again!!
- TheGr8Deej (2/5): Awful stay! - Worst experience and would not go back! The bed was awful and gave me and my partner back ache! The food was spongey and taste like it was microwaved. Would not recommend
- paulmittins (6/5): Not a good standard for Premier Inn - Excellent location but not impressed for a Premier Inn. The check in worked up to the point where the room key wouldn’t open the room door so then all the way down 6 floors again to reception. Pointless if the technology doesn’t work, bring back human beings! The lifts are a bit of a nightmare when busy and the room was not very clean. Lots of dust around skirting boards and behind doors.
As a premier inn this really missed the mark and needs to be better. My Stay at the Sofitel opposite was far better
- 129jackii (6/5): Airport stop over - An overnighter prior to going to the Airport!! Evening meal was good.
Breakfast not so good!
The room was very cold, light bulbs out, a shortage of staff meant that just 2 ladies doing everything from checking you in/out, running the bar and waitressing
We probably would not stay here again
- AllWightboy (8/5): Very good as usual, but very erratic bar service, and the management didn't care. - All was fine except the bar service which was very erratic. Later in the evening, with a busy bar, there was only one bar server, with a long queue. The manager seemed to think that the situation was fine. He could have helped, but didn't.
- ivyali (6/5): Good and bad…. - Great reception from Stanley to sort me out a room last minute. Shame was the hot water wasn’t adjustable so Luke warm bath. Room adjacent seemed to chat all night.
- SF-Cyprus (10/5): Safe, clean and comfy. - Felt safe as a solo, elderly, female traveller. Ashley at reception was very helpful, and did my early check-in. Food and drink prices reasonable, the house wine is good too.
- iangN5425JC (10/5): HIGHLY RECOMMEND - Have stayed here many times. As usual, helpful staff at check-in, at dinner my server was Jesus, who I've met previously and he looked after me very well.
You know what to expect from Premier Inn and I'm happy to be a customer.
Now I'm looking forward to a great breakfast in the morning.
- Ricbarrett (10/5): What an amazing way to start your holiday - I arrived super late to the hotel and the restaurant team were incredible. No pressure to hurry a great meal but what stood out was the service.
I was served by your employee called Jesus .
From the start of our conversation to paying the bill he was super friendly , kind and wow does he work hard
- giusypZ6551LV (10/5): A lovely evening - The Thyme restaurant at the Premier Inn was a nice surprise! Dinner was lovely and Jin was super kind to us.
If you visit, get the apple and blackberry crumble Sundae- a total highlight!
- JosT_13 (4/5): They are not given me my lost property back! - I stayed to have a base to visit places nearby.
The hotel is tired looking and in need of maintenance!
Peeling paint everywhere.
However when I left I forgot to take my Sketchers (expensive) trainers with me.
I emailed the hotel (reception very difficult to get hold of) and they eventually confirmed my trainers were in lost property. They instructed me to send a suitable box or bag with sufficient postage to their hotel and they would return my trainers. £9 postage cost
I did that and contacted them again after 2 weeks of not hearing anything. They confirmed the box with postage had just arrived and the trainers would be posted that same day.
It is now the end of November and I still haven’t received my trainers.
Every time I make contact with them they claim not to know about this issue!
I have given up but I’m warning you not to trust their words or actions.
- 610emyb (6/5): I wont be returning due to unwelcoming reception staff and procedures. - Hotel was to standard but the reception staff were cold and unwelcoming. Having to check in via a machine when I was so tired, staff no where in sight.
Breakfast staff were amazing though and so was breakfast.
- Venture790938 (10/5): Excellent service in the restaurant - The usual easy check in, consistent standards in terms of room facilities. The service in the restaurant this evening was excellent. I was eating alone and the service from Monika was really friendly and personable without being too much.
- E7815ELcharlotter (10/5): Convenient for Gatwick with levelled up customer service - This hotel adds a level of homely feel to what could be a cold transactional experience in an airport chain hotel. From being met warmly by Gaynor at breakfast to see how our training was going, to being greeted by Monika in the evening for dinner to hear what’s good on the menu, I had a truly lovely time being genuinely cared for by the whole team.
The hotel is well positioned from bus 100, following signs for local buses in the south terminal - near to where the tram to the north terminal is. Around 10mins total journey time. There is a number of convenience stores and shopping options within walking distance and online delivery options for those unable to get out.
- popsj2022 (8/5): Nice hotel, friendly, reasonably priced. - This is not the first time we have stayed at this hotel and booked it because of our previous experience there. Our visit last weekend was so we could fly into Gatwick from Edinburgh and then commute into London from either Gatwick or Three Bridges railway station's. The room rates are good and we chose the Premier Inn Plus room which are very nice and with that you get free wi-fi for three devices on each day of your visit which saves money of course. There is free wi-fi per room however, for one device so an additional fee would be required for more devices. We found the wi-f setup and bit of a nightmare having to enter pre-sent codes each day and we never really got it going ok, perhaps Apple devices cause some kind of issue? The hotel is on an industrial estate however, it's not a building site and the surroundings are quite pleasant. Buses stop outside if you need them and cabs are easy to obtain from the local area. A cab ride to Three Bridges which offers plenty of links into London and further afield and also South to the Coast and other directions, fixed rate was around £7.60 one way, Gatwick is a little further around £19 for a one way trip or a bus ride for a lot less. The hotel has a nice restaurant with decent food reasonably priced. There is a separate bar with a seating area for relaxing and drinks are typical of hotels in the area and pretty much London prices. Meal deals can be obtained from reception. The room was clean and if you needed any extra towels or the like then it's delivered to your room. The staff are very friendly and helpful and we'd like to make note of a lovely Lady by the name of Sofia who was extremely helpful and made us feel most welcome each time we met her in the restaurant. She is a credit to Premier Inn. There was only one negative item to mention and that was the fire alarm going off at 4.30am on our last night which turned out to be 'an issue' and it did not go off again, we did ring down to reception to ask if we needed to vacate the hotel. A nice hotel, easy on the budget compared to Central London hotels and we will return soon.
- 874asiaw (10/5): Customer centricity can create magic - I can speak only highly about my stay at Premier Inn. The staff was extremly helpful and always at our disposal when needed. I would like to personally evaluate the professionalism and client focused approach that Monika embodies with the highest rate. She is outstanding, her attitude and real care for client’s necesities made us want to come back. Furthermore, I would like to personally give thanks to Stephen who handled all the adminstrative part in two languages interchangeably which was extremely impressive and constituted an asset in stresfull situation I have encountered myself in. In general my stay there can be evaluated as enjoyable and well organised.
- P3693BOandreaf (10/5): Amazing hotel - We thought we arrived at wrong hotel as sat nav taking us half mile further. We had not ! by time we were checking in Stephen was so efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Had dinner in restaurant on a day where they had 3 staff off it did not effect service or friendliness, food amazing presentation good and tasty! Well done chef , all worked as a team ! Sophia was our waitress a breath of fresh air in hospitality and a credit to the business and team.
- markhJ7160TM (6/5): Functional but not welcoming. Very shabby sofas in the bar. - A shabby welcome and very shabby sofas in the bar. Not very nice.
Room was OK, clean and presentable but - overall 'quite shabby.
- hcollins89 (2/5): Please avoid. Trust the bad reviews - I honestly never leave reviews but DO NOT STAY HERE
I was meant to return next week but I’ve had to cancel this booking.
I must say this is no reflection of the staff. It’s like something out of faulty towers. Someone will check you in, then you see they’re running the bar, the next they’re taking your order
You need to book in dinner and the times goes quickly because they only have one cook. Currently I’ve been sat here for 30 minutes and haven’t had a drink let alone got food.
Massively understaff - NO INTERNET. Even the wifi you pay for is terrible.
AVOID AVOID AVOID.
- G2715ZCeileenm (6/5): Nice breakfast - On arrival was given our door card then was directed to where to go but not been here before and luckily another gest showed us the way to go.
It would of been nice if a member of staff showed us..
Room was nice and clean. Looking out the window the window ledge was dirty and windows on the outside were the same. All the guttering was overflowing in light rain. Outside of the building needs a lot of maintenance before it falls into disrepair.
Breakfast was cooked lovely and served by helen. The floor and tables were sticky ...
- paulwU8715NX (10/5): Excellent Welcome and service - The friendliest staff I have encountered in any Premier Inn. They were all exceptional especially Gayna in the restaurant. Had a nice steak meal there. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay here again.
- K991XGdavidm (10/5): Great Experience - Great service with a spooky smile as we would expect on Halloween lol but the food was good and the service outstanding well done
- J8556JDmariej (6/5): Shocked - Shocked at the increase in parking cost. Extremely shocked to be charged £10 to unlock the door to the adjoining room!!!!!
- ledragirl (4/5): Not the standard of premier inn - Room ok.
All fire doors propped open .
No decaffeinated coffee.
Breakfast cold
Out of date sauces on table.
A member of staff although was lovely , personal hygiene a big issue
- stevetD9448UV (10/5): Great experience - Very well looked after by all of the staff, particularly Gaynor in the restaurant. Room and facilities very comfortable and tidy.
- davidgS5603GU (10/5): Solid service - Very well looked after. Room was clean and tidy as you expect from a premier inn. Meal was great and service from Gaynor was brilliant, very attentive and made a lovely start to our holiday. Thank you!
- thomasaS8919LI (10/5): Couldn’t be better - We always stay at this premier inn when flying out of Gatwick because it’s by far the best! All staff are fantastic and so helpful and friendly. The rooms are great and have everything you could possibly need but the best part is the restaurant and the staff there. We have stayed here many times and have always had excellent service and food in the restaurant. All the restaurant staff are great but a special mention must go to the lovely Gaynor in the restaurant. She is absolutely brilliant - so friendly and helpful and always makes our experience here just perfect. I always recommend Gatwick manor royal to anyone I know who flies out of Gatwick because it’s absolutely fantastic. Looking forward to our next stay.
- Pomz77 (10/5): Sound night sleep - We booked 2 rooms pre-flight, the next morning. We arrived on Sunday with plenty of parking at around 4.30 pm. The cost of parking is not deducted from the bill, or it is free with proof of check-in. I believe the cost to park was over £10. We also had an evening meal, and my wife has to eat gluten-free, so they had a separate menu. As expected, good service and clean rooms, apart from my grandson pulling out a half-eaten sandwich under the bed.
- tanyacZ2876FW (8/5): £15 to park and £15 early check in -not impressed - Hotel immaculate rooms super clean and the bed was so comfy. The heating/air-conditioning worked perfectly and overall very happy with the room. We got the room at a reasonable price however soon realised that is because your stung with a £15 parking charge per night and £15 early check in despite rooms being ready and others checking in early with no fee being paid.
Receptionist definitely wasn't warm and welcoming which is a shame. As to me a warm welcome is important in hospitality.
Overall OK stay. But wouldnt stay again purely due to parking costs I think its terrible guests should have to pay to park.
- U2719OBalicem (2/5): Awful. DO NOT STAY. - Booked a premier inn as they usually are a safe bet of a hotel. This hotel is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. On arrival we joined a large queue trying to check in as there was only 1 staff member there. We eventually got into our room which was small, cold and had a horrible feel to it. We were greeted with an unpleasant smell of cigarettes/weed within our room. There was dirt in the sink and clumps of hair in the bath/stuck to the bathroom tiles, disgusting. When going back down to reception to grab a drink from the bar, the buzzer was pressed 4 times with a 15 minute wait for someone to actually be at the bar. The receptionist guy that had previously checked us on showed up and then began working behind the bar. The pint of beer me and others had was cloudy and tasted horrendous. There was no atmosphere, the toilets as well were shocking and disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE.
- U7136AKgarys (10/5): Great service. TY - Restaurant staff were really friendly, and the food was really good. Quick, hot and really very tasty. Gaynor served us and she was exceptional.
- brianeldred14 (10/5): Thank you, Gaynor!! - Thank you, Gaynor for looking after us. Excellent food and very good service. Salad was very good value for money.........
- mrscronk (10/5): Great stay - Very comfortable, quiet and clean room. I've stayed here a few times and will always when I'm flying early out of Gatwick.
- ZoeHamiltonWynne (4/5): Rude customer service from the manager - I booked rooms with a Premier Inn Business Card, for myself and a colleague. I called the reception team to ensure my colleague could enter her room before I arrived, so she wouldn't be stranded waiting. It took over 10 minutes to do this with the helpline. They assured me the note was on the booking. When my colleague arrived she was told she couldn't enter her room and was dealt with extremely rudely, especially by the manager. He refused to let her enter her room stating no notes on the booking- when in fact there were, he just hadn't seen them. He was also rude when I arrived, an hour later, and although he had realised that he had made a mistake did not apologise. His customer service was appalling. I stay in Premier Inns by choice, all of the time for work but this experience has made me think twice.
- carolinetV2692QZ (10/5): Very very good 5 star - We came and stopped for a couple of nights and found the beds to be very comfortable and room was found to be home from home.. we stayed for breakfast both mornings and found the waitress (Helen) to be very pleasant and helpful and could not do enough for us ….my husband really enjoys black pudding but other places does not do it to his satisfaction but the newly appointed chef (humiz) did to the point where he ordered more .. we will definitely be and have already booked again ..
- karenrN5752SI (10/5): Relaxing stay at Goffs Park - Great stay as always at Goffs Park.
Staff welcoming, room clean and warm, meal deal excellent value for money, food very good.
- Trudyren (10/5): Warm friendly welcome - Stayed here the night before flying from Gatwick.
Checked in with a smile and warm welcome.
Room as expected clean tidy and comfortable bed.
Good shower.
If you don’t fancy the onsite restaurant just a few minutes drive away is Crawley Leisure Park with lots of places to eat.
If you need extra teabags etc these are available in reception on the wall already.
- cyfugi (4/5): V poor experience - Firstly, it is worth noting the staff where friendly which was the only saving grace of the whole experience. Stayed in lots of Premier inns but sadly this one was lacking. We booked 2 rooms, one of which was for my daughter and allocated us in separate buildings. We went for a drink in the bar which and only 2 other guests having a drink, but had to wait along time for one of the 2 staff that where on duty to come and serve at the bar. Very limited selection of drinks only 1 cider and no pink gin but price was still at a premium cost. Watched 2 guests arrive at 20:15 and asked for food to be told that no food available till breakfast (so glad we stoped to eat before we arrived). Went to our room and it was missing a tv remote, so had to walk back across the poorly lit carpark to reception where they gave me a remote and I asked for extra pillows as the 2 we had where flat as pancakes. Again staff were friendly and said she would bring 2 more to our room. Then went back to the room to find tv remote didn’t work with the tv so up and steamed something on my phone. Waited but the extra pillows didn’t materialise which caused a poor nights sleep. One positive was breakfast was ok served by a lovely waitress.
- Roving52103189952 (4/5): Remote hotel, but dirty. the value for money LOW. - Location is 15min walk from train station/ town center
atmosphere is quit and relax
room was not cleaned unless demanded, and then they make your bed replace the towels, but everything else is untouched - had a dirty cup the whole week - they left it as is !!!
the dining hall is dirty - floor and furntures are sticky - never washed - just been wiped with dirty cloths.
- Z550SFjoshuas (8/5): great stay - great stay staff are so friendly and helpful amazing service helan in particular was excellent rooms were well kept and tidy we did have yo ask for an extra duvet but it was sorted quickly
- 752silvad (10/5): comfortable and convenient for my schedule. - it was wonderful and comfortable place to stay.. i nice quiet room. very nice breakfast and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. I will for sure come back and stay at this location.
- Gorwydd (8/5): A good stay pre Gatwick flight - Stayed here before a flight, I've only just read other people's reviews and they are truly alarming, however...
Our stay was actually really positive
We arrived about 7pm, we rang the buzzer a young smiley lady promptly checked us into the White annexe building
Which was clearly recently renovated
Our bed was clean and comfy
Only minor negative was the room was slightly on chilly side.
- 329ellew (8/5): Amazing service - Charlie and Hayley were amazing, lovely cocktails and always promoted drinks offers. Staying here weeks and this place feels like home :)
- J8819RNalexg (2/5): Rundown and understaffed - Terrible service. Badly understaffed. Long waits for everything and most items on the menu unavailable. Room missing pillows and teabags forcing a long walk to find somebody to correct this. Only positive was convenient for the airport.
- A4749LHjoannea (10/5): Amazing stay - We stayed here as a stop off to see family on our way home from a family holiday. Room was lovely, spacious and exceptionally clean. We were very pleased. Staff in the restaurant couldn’t do enough for you, very friendly. Food delicious and lots of choice. Helen who served us at breakfast was outstanding, so friendly and again couldn’t do enough for you. Charli and Hayli were amazing at our evening meal. A fantastic stay… we will definitely be back!
- Valencia (4/5): - While the assigned room was without AC, only one fan was provided. We requested an additional fan and was promised one. We never got it until the last night. Unfortunately the additional fan did not work. The windows couldn’t open so the air quality was horrible. Additionally, housekeeping was not available for our three day stay. Based on the above experience, we cannot recommend this property.
- B1p (2/5): Don’t book here - Positive - free parking that’s it.
Negatives - Very very poor service. Told to wait for table for evening meal when only 3 tables were occupied. Waited over an hour for ‘chips’. Menu items not available. Chef totally clueless on allergens.
Breakfast was very slow again with only a few people in the restaurant. So slow service that when the kitchen doors opened everyone looked up to see it was their plate. Breakfast took over an hour to be served once ordered. Was supposed to be limitless but no way to order again or have the will to wait.
Rooms mixed up when clearly booked. Restaurant floor dirty and sticky.
Understaffed and when asked why there’s delays they told us they were very busy. Can’t imagine if they had more than 10 diners to serve!!!
- samluck2501 (4/5): Not Your Standard Premier Inn! - Now I've stayed in many premier inns over the years & they've always been 10/10 but this one was definitely nowhere near that score! Arrived at reception, waited a bit then pressed buzzer, waited some more then finally a man sat down at reception, didn't say much & handed our keys over & asked if we wanted dinner. I said "ooo yes please we'll put our bags upstairs & come straight down" to which he said "Oh I'll have to book you in for an hours time as it's really busy" (6 people in the restaurant is busy?) I said "Oh, it doesn't look busy" & he went "It is round the corner" (again the same 6 people.....) so we waited for 45mins & asked to sit down & got told "Come back in 15mins" At this point there was only 4 people in the restaurant.
Rooms:
Only 1 pillow each (normally 2 each)
No shower gel in the holder in the shower.
Very clean & spacious & super comfy beds.
Restaurant:
Now when we sat down there was only 2 people in the restaurant & it took 45mins for our food to come out. Starters & mains came out at the same time which wasn't ideal. Food was ok nothing amazing.
Overall, wouldn't recommend as the same person does reception, bar & server which is ridiculous!!!
- N3357NYdeanp (2/5): Not the best - Arrived at the hotel to find the staff member on reception shouting and swearing at a customer. Totally unacceptable behaviour, his language was shocking, and if I hadn't jusy driven 3 hours to get there, I wouldnt have stayed
