Guest Reviews
- Scenic26621879645 (10/5): Working away - Just checked into the hotel. The staff on reception were extremely helpful and our premier plus rooms are very comfortable,it seems we're the first guests to use the newly refurbished rooms, and they are of an excellent standard. Very pleased 😁
- C2674TSkarenh (10/5): Watford Croxley Green has amazing brand new rooms - Oh my goodness I arrived to check in last night and I thought I had won the lottery, the lady on the desk said I had been picked to stay in the brand new bedrooms on the 4th floor that only opens that evening and oh my goodness it was AMAZING 🤩 I have never been in such a room in premier inn the room was unbelievable this made my day and weekend I most definitely will be staying in this hotel again and asking for the 4th floor wow wow wow
- patel210 (6/5): Hotel is not worth for the value of my money - We had 2 rooms for all to gather 21 nights of stay and n October 2025. The staff was courteous. Coffee posts and Wi-Fi jack to the wall inn some room doesn’t worked. Wi-Fi is just basic. Every time you come to the room you need to login. Shower curtain by width is not enough to cover the shower rod. It is only of the half size!
Shower tub has mildew around the corners.
Shower head is just bad as they can be! One day the elevator broke down and we had to carry 8 bags to the second floor at 11.30 pm, with the help of the front desk staff, it was absolutely ridiculous experience. The second elevator was already out of the order since past 3 weeks!
Hotel shod refund for that night for 2 rooms. This was not for the service that we paid for.
Hotel’s overall condition is very outdated, we have noticed the renovation work is going on so can’t complain about the noise.
- D3912IDmarciab (10/5): Harry Potter studio - Little surprise weekend away for the kids and Harry Potter, could not fault the hotel rooms was big clean and comfortable beds, staff were always friendly when we saw them and location wise perfect for the Harry Potter studios. We had issues with the restaurant but we were informed this was not run by the hotel staff so I don’t believe it’s fair to down grade them for something not in their control
- T5480YDbene (4/5): Worst Premier Inn experience ever - Overall not up to Premier Inn standard. Poor food (£16 steak was a vile bag of gristtle and fat and was raw in the middle). Breakfast was OK. Bacon like leather, but sausages nice. Decent coffee. Pastires OK. Dirty rooms (side bed specifically). Beds absolutely rock hard. Side bed not fit for purpose - Lumpy spring torture device. Should have been taken to the tip 5 years ago. Rooms also noisy - we could hear our upstairs neighbours at 6.30am. It sounded like a herd of elephants. We come to Premier inn for 3 reaons: good food, quiet room, comfortable bed. I have never been to one that didnt deliver on at least 2 of these (ususally all 3). Somehow this hotel failed on every single one. Will not be back.
- martinbK103GF (2/5): Not recommended - Dirty curtains.Pillows as flat as pancakes, the good ones were packed away on a shelf, only discovered on 2nd night, so first night's sleep was awful. Mould around bath and extractor fan not working making bedroom hot. Grey scrambled egg at breakfast. Toilets in bar downstairs are a disgrace, water all over the floor, no toilet seat or toilet paper and fittings dirty and falling apart. Staff availability was poor until day of departure, so no use to fix issues really. Hallways are filthy and desperately need hoovering.
- O3923INbenm (2/5): Dirty toilet. Evening meal cancelled. Worst Premier Inn we've ever stayed. Avoid. - Awful. The car park is well located but in a state if disrepair. You have to pay for this too. The meal deal we paid for was useless as the system was down, so after a long day, our evening meal was cancelled. There was nothing cheap and convenient nearby so ended up getting a take away from the harvester. It was nice but very expensive. The toilet bathroom was disgusting. It had poo stains that looked awful and made us all feel sick. The receptionist said this wasn't dirty, it was just because it's an old toilet. The room also smelt as we entered.
- Anne (6/5): - Sehr heruntergekommen
- Derbyshireflyboy (6/5): Not the best - Not the best of the premier Inns. The staff were wonderfully helpful and did their best, but for a hotel of this size to run out of toilet rolls and de caff coffee is disgusting.
We had only booked here as Rickmansworth was full, but never again. I do not stop at a hotel and expect to shop for essentials.
- L8191BLdebbiej (10/5): Great weekend and loved oasis - Stayed here last weekend for the oasis concert and I can not fault what we paid for, clean reception, easy check in on the kiosk machines wants I was shown how to do it but the lady on the desk. The room was clean and fresh but more importantly for what we paid for the hotel parking and travel it was just a stress free weekend and brilliant location to travel to London
- mike02legge (8/5): Does the job - Needed a base to put our heads down when in London for a flying visit to see the mighty Oasis. With Watford not being too far from Wembley we decided that lenny Henry would be a fail safe option for a decent nights kip. The hotel itself is undergoing a bit of a make over which is much needed but it was more than perfect for what we needed. Rooms although dated were specious and comfy. The location is also perfect, only about a 30-40 minute travel to Wembley. The only real negative about this hotel was the check in experience. Tried to use the self service but it didn’t work. Then had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to see to us. Seemed there was only 1 worker on in the hotel who looked rushed off her feet. When she did get to us she was polite, friendly and welcoming! Thanks. Not sure we’d stay again if it was any more than 1-2 nights max.
- mahmood3756 (8/5): Relaxed staying. - Nice, comfortable and good environment budget hotel. It was enjoyable stay. Self check in and check out wre easily explained at the kiosk.
- G8066MFpaulw (10/5): Good hotel and friendly staff - one of the best premier inn in terms of staff, they were very welcoming and accommodating all the request, room was clean
- saradB335XH (10/5): Wonderful customer service from the house keeping people - Stayed here on sat for the oasis concert in London Wembley stadium. We booked as a group of 8 so 4 rooms. When we arrived we asked if we could pay for early check in which the lady on the desk was very helpful. She informed up there was around 30 min turn around for rooms and would we like to sit in the bar and have a drink and she will bring our rooms forward on the house keeping lists so we could check in before 3pm. That was so nice of her especially when we have 4 rooms. This kind of addition care and service makes trips away so much more personal and enjoyable thank you we were not disappointed in the least
- GTX_castrol (4/5): A Premier Inn that falls well short of being premier. - A very tired Premier Inn. No Receptionist on check in, despite the use of the buzzer. The automated checkin system wasn't working. We stayed in room 111. No toilet roll in the dispenser on arrival. Eventually one was found. Toilet rolls were hard to find! A broken bedside light switch and bulb. No duty service team to repair over the four days we were there. The bathroom tap was damaged spraying water over the counter, floor and toilet seat. The lift security system was inoperable. Anyone walking in could go upstairs. The weekend breakfast area was chaos. Understaffed with only two members on. Food on the floor, tables uncleaned and cutlery missing. Pssing through to the breakfast area, lampshades damaged, a lamp standard with no lampshade and a lampshade gaffer taped to the lamp standard. What an impression to take onboard.
The bed was comfortable and the dedicated phone line to the taxi service worked perfectly.
- jennifercW9735XS (10/5): Friend / family enjoying london - Lovely weekend with friends, stayed in this hotel it is looking tired but they have a sign saying refurbishment coming which is needed. Staff were very friendly and the hotel and rooms were very clean so not complaints there. Overall it was a pleasant staying here and we will come back after the refurbishment is done
- V7902FHbeckyj (10/5): Stop off in London pleasantly surprised - Was not sure what to expect with this premier inn the reviews are very mixed however we had limited options due to price for cold play. I have to say I’m with the positive reviews the check in was really friendly and easy big reception area and clean. Both lifts were working ( which reading comments has my been the case recently) our room was big clean exactly like other premier inns we have been too and the car park was super cheap. For a stop off to go to London i actually thought this was a great hotel.
- samwN3473TD (10/5): Harry Potter experience achieved - My son is a big Harry Potter fan so a surprise trip to Watford and Harry Potter studios could not have gone better. We booked a room for three and when we checked in and went to our room there as an amazing gift on my sons bed, a wand and a spell I mean who knew hotels did this it was amazing my son was over the moon. The whole weekend was perfect really friendly staff, the room was a good size for three of us and it was clean. I had a very happy boy for days.
- 638willemijnr (10/5): Cold play week - Cold play tickets and this was the cheapest hotel with parking and train we could find. Station was easy to get to in an uber. Checked in early and the room was bigger than we expected nice and clean with a nice smell in the room. Over the hotel seems clean and always a staff member walking around. Best weekend due to the concert and way cheaper than staying in London highlight recommend this way to get to Wembley
- 886AngeloR (6/5): Fair Overall ….. - Fair value for money. Location good, parking good. Bar and restaurant were good. The service from the from the front desk depended on the individuals I dealt with. One lady was absolutely awful (0/10) while the rest were great.
- rogerm41 (2/5): I know a dirty toilet when I see one - I checked into the Premier Inn at Croxley Green, Watford and was shocked by the state of the toilet. I'm not going to go into detail (but see the picture), other than to say it's disgusting. I asked for it to be cleaned and was told it would be, it wasn't. I went to reception again and was told its not dirty, its just old. How old can it be? Is that really a valid excuse? Fortunately, I'm on a short business trip, so won't have you put up with it for long. But if this is the low standard Premier Inn set themselves, I won't be staying in any of their accommodation in future.
- Ashwinder Singh (6/5): - No air conditioning only fan
