• harrysS3256NK (10/5): Grate for the money - Grate location to get onto the a12 and the rooms are extremely good and enough space you don’t feel crammed in, the parking is good and out of sight from the public with cctv and to top it off the staff where grate.
• jpharding63 (10/5): Old Friends get together - As we’ve done for years we all get together to catch up yearly and can’t recommend highly enough the hospitality and friendliness all the staff of the Hotel and adjoining pub and restaurant showed during our stay we will definitely be coming back again

• X5906CGamandal (2/5): Disaster dirty dated scuffy. Worst hotel weve ever stayed in. No plug next to bed for cpap. noise disturbance laughing banging - Catologue of disasters. We arrived there was no plug next to bed for my cpap arrived around 6pm was advised to putchase an extension lead . Cleaniess dirty mugs on arrival musty smell in room black mould in bathroom dust on bedside lamp tatty worn carpet damaged bathroom door and filthy skirting in bathroom. Noise level had a disturbed night sleep doors banging people shouting laughing all night not sure if it was guests or staffroom next to our room. Dated dirty and scuffy worst hotel weve ever stayed in not premier inns usual standard. Wouldnt stay again
• MikeG5055 (10/5): Good receptionist. - My checkin service was very good. The receptionist was very helpful as I had a few challenges with my reservation. Unfortunately “drop in” reservations are no longer allowed, and all reservations must be made on-line. Not everyone has modern phones which would make this an easy task. There should be a kiosk in the reception where reservations can be made.

Friendly Atmosphere with a lovely welcome from Robyn who was extremely helpful. Room large airy and clean. Good modern bathroom with bath and integral shower. Nice modern suite. Tea Coffee Station, ☕️ 😋 Great. Very good value 👏 Thanks Premier Inn Cobham Hotel. Go to many Premier Inns and loved this one. Love the Palm Trees at the Reception Entrance. Fab location, just a short hop off the M25. Will come again.

• christina175 (6/5): Good Value but no Room Clean - This was our second stay here. Good value . Pretty nice room & comfy bed . Decent bathroom . Only one hand towel and one bath towel provided for two and no room housekeeping provided despite requesting it ! ( thought that should be a given anyway - it’s one of the benefits of staying in a hotel surely and part of what you’re paying for ) Breakfast is adequate in nicely decorated adjacent pub .

We had breakfast in the morning at The Fairmile and again we were welcomed in, clearly explained where everything was and had a lovely breakfast, with great service. Thank you
• martinpU8753VC (10/5): Great hotel, Great restaurant - Great hotel, Perfect location, room was quiet, so clean, bed was comfortable. Also had a lovely meal in the restaurant, staff were great and very helpful, when I’m back in this area I would not hesitate to stay again.
• briangT5057SE (4/5): Not Great - Arrived late so went straight to the room, a lot of noise from arguing guests woke us in the night, went on for a while and no one intervened, Therefore we were very tired the next day, not a restful sleep at all. In the morning discovered that although we have booked a room for two people they had only supplied one bath and one hand towel, so we had to manage with a small hand towel or get dressed and go to reception then return to shower, we managed. Went to complain about the noise and the towel situation but no one was on reception and no response. Wouldn't stay again, i have stayed at Premier Inn for years mostly for business and feel that the standard has dropped in both cleanliness and service.

• Britrunner (4/5): Poor reception staff and in need of repair - We were not provided glasses for toothbrushes in the bathroom. The receptionist stated that this was now standard for Premier Inn hotels, which I find suprising as this is the first time we have had this problem in a Premier Inn hotel. The room needed more sockets, especially near the beds. There were a few areas that were poorly maintained with the need of replastering and repainting. The details of our paid breakfast was not sent to the pub associated with the hotel. This meant that I had to go back to the hotel reception to get proof that I had paid for tge breakfasts for myself and my partner. There were 2 staff on reception and they were discussing room availability. One of the staff asked me what I wanted and after I told her that I needed proof of payment for 2 breakfasts she carried on talking to the other member of staff for nearly 5 minutes. It then took her another 3 minutes to find the details on the computer. This member of staff thrn walked over to the pub with me to confirm my payment. So my partner waited 10 minutes for me to get this proof before we were allowed breakfast.
• Bodpage (8/5): Good but... - They now charge £15 for a check in before 3...yet the confirmation email makes no mention of this and with 800 or so premier inn in the UK they must be naking a mint fir providing NOTHING!

• annecY206MA (4/5): Staff need to learn sympathy/empathy - Overall stay was good. My daughter was taken into hospital Sunday evening and needed emergency surgery. We returned late Sunday evening/Monday morning. We were 5 minutes late for breakfast and asked if we could have some toast and tea. Polly was extremely rude and said no. A little empathy would have gone a long way. She also apparently turned the warmers off 6 minutes early the next day..
• T9660XAleahh (4/5): Disappointing - Staff were lovely and very friendly, but unfortunately the bathroom was not clean and there was pee down the side of bath and on the rim of the toilet. Also hair on the wall and bath. Didn't sleep very well to much noise from kids, we were put in a room with a dividing door and could hear everything through it and there was a kid and it kept waking me and my children up. Breakfast was a bit disappointing food was warm not hot so went cold half way through eating it. Not really any choices of cereal. And they only provide semi skimmed milk.

Otherwise reasonable size spacious room, the shower tub could be better not the best and shower gel dispenser wasn't working. You get what you paid for.
• charlottemJ6052NE (2/5): Dirty and dated - Hotel was not the best room was not ready, no towles in room, room stank of damp was really dusty, sink was blocked, soap was hanging of wall, breakfast was disgusting, stayed in many premier inns as usually fab for price and breakfast usually really nice, made staff aware of issues in room that evening was told to sort it in the morning, would definitely not recommend this hotel
• samanthasP1930PH (2/5): Felt like a hotel from a horror movid - Worst premier inn I’ve ever stayed at. Full of spiders. Needed updating desperately, and a deep clean. Breakfast was lacking the next day and was only from 7-9 which feels a bit harsh if you aren’t up for work. Put me off the brand altogether. Wouldn’t return.
• Charli_A96 (4/5): Like a hostel but with a dearer price tag really - Went as a family, and upon arrival was told we hadn’t booked properly as hadn’t added our 18month old on the booking - online doesn’t have an option for a child of this age unless they require a cot which was not the case. The floorboards squeaked everywhere you travelled so you could constantly hear the other guests despite signs everywhere to “tiptoe” around. The room wasn’t cleaned very well - leftover false eyelashes from a previous guest, disgustingly stained chair in the room, bath needed showering down before you could use it. There was one tabletop fan to cool the entire room, which wasn’t very effective either. However, the bed was comfy, there was plenty of plug sockets, and you could see the car park from the room so you’re able to keep an eye on your car (also free parking which is always a bonus!). Of course it’s a budget hotel so you don’t expect much overall, but for what we received you’d expect to only pay £30 or so for the state of things.

• B3749OYgeorginap (4/5): Sorry PI .. this was the worst PI we've stayed in so far .... - The service at the front desk was awful from 1 person. The lady who greeted me at check out was fabulous who had worked the night shift but the lady at check in was awful... rude, hostile, uncaring and argumentative. She did sort the issue however there was no apology or understanding from her. Luckily I simmered my friend down as the issue was to do with her room not being ready and she had specifically spoken to the hotel twice to ensure she could have the early check in so she could be ready for a wedding (it was costing her £15 for this privilege). The issue was resolved within 10 minutes however the way it could have been dealt with would have made things better. Also a member of our party was turned away from breakfast due to "not paying in advance" even though she was happy to pay there and then. What kind of hotel doesn't want to make the extra money? She got sent off to Greggs in the end away from our party... I would understood if they had been rammed but they weren't even that busy and it was a breakfast buffet ! We stay at a lot of Premier Inn's and always had a great experience so with these 2 issues it was a bit of a shock and left us all rather unsatisfied, albeit it did the job for the night. However we found out after our friends who stayed at the wedding venue had paid less than us and had a lot more for their money/better service, needless to say we were the losers in that situation. The cleaners deserve a big shout out though for the standard of cleaning and for ensuring the rooms were ready for us as quickly as possible. Good things - beds, rooms good size (depending on which one you go for), tea and coffee extra supplies available at reception to help yourself to, cleaning standards good, some staff were welcoming & outside space and parking.
• 233petrat (4/5): Gone downhill - We've been here a number of timew before over the last few years but this time it felt like it had really gone down hill. The hotel was grotty and rhe room had mould in the bathroom and smelled of damp. The soap dispenser was snapped and unusable. The usb plugs were broken and unusable. The curtains were stuck and couldnt be opened. A member of staff at the restaurant went to the toilet and didnt wash their hands. Overall disappointing. However, the lady on reception was very friendly and the location is still convenient and there is easy parking.
• 1971Allie007 (6/5): Grotty - We stay in Premier Inns quite regularly and this is by far the grottiest we've ever stayed in. Looks ok driving up to it, reception is quite small and receptionist was efficient. The room was extremely run down and dirty and have attached photos to show how disgusting the window ledge was. Bathroom stank of sewage and was also run down. Had dinner in the restaurant across the car park. I had soup which was barely warm so sent that back. Family on the table weren't happy and complaining as a number of things on the menu that they eanted to eat and drink were't available. To be fair the waitress we had was really lovely and helpful and quickly changed my soup. We'd had a long journey and day and was looking forward to a lie in before breakfast and noticed that breakfast was only served till 9am, despite it usually being until 10.30am. This was not made known before booking and there was a laminated piece of paper on the desk informing us of this. I've read on a previous review someone was refused entry at 8.50 am. At breakfast my son wanted scrambled egg which was cold and hard in places. No coffee machine, it was a single flask made up and was lukewarm. No croissants available and only tubs of flavoured yoghurt. I had toast which you make yourself as usual in a Premier. First time through the toaster made no difference so put it through again, 2nd time through it started smoking heavily and caught fire. Needless to say we don't recommend this hotel and won't be returning.
• erikacK6280JR (2/5): The worst - I regularly stayed at the premier regularly due to the close proximity to my workplace and had overlooked certain things because the location was so convenient but my last visit was absolutely my last. I checked into the hotel and went up the room to find that the room had not been touched since the last person vacated it. The room was stale and musty having not been aired all day, dirty sheets , empty cans on the unit and a fan still running on high speed in the middle of the room. I returned to reception to tell her the room had not been cleaned and she apologised and offered to change the sheets as there were no other rooms available. I told her that would not be enough as the room was stale having not been ventilated all day. I asked to be moved to another hotel but as it was 9pm she couldn't find anywhere. I called my employer who was able to assist in finding another hotel. Previous visits have been poor, with dirty cups in the room or poorly cleaned bathrooms. The hotel generally is of a poor standard and pretty depressing especially for the price which can be expensive on some weeks. On this occasion I had paid £200 for the room received a full refund after making a complaint. I will not be returning there as there are other options and will no longer compromise my standards for the convenience of its location.
• T8315YSianc (10/5): Great customer service - We have stayed in lots of Premier Inns over time. This one at Colchester had really personable and knowledgeable reception staff who answered all our questions comprehensively. Yes it was a VERY long walk to our room but it was fully air conditioned - very welcome on one of the hottest days of the year so far! Great room and we slept well.
• S3523HGalie (4/5): Forget about breakfast - The hotel itself was fine. We were lucky to have an air conditioned room which was very welcomed. There are no lifts which is a bit of a pain when carrying luggage. The service and cleanliness in the hotel itself was fine but the food, especially breakfast was a real problem. The restaurant is woefully understaffed and although the staff that were there worked hard, there just weren’t enough of them and evening wait times were huge. Even just to get a drink! We paid for breakfast for both mornings of our stay but then didn’t actually get to have it on the first morning as there was no chef! We did manage to get a breakfast on the second morning but they were understaffed yet again and we got it late, having to throw it down and leave rather than enjoy it. The staff that they had were lovely, there just weren’t enough of them to provide a service.
• alanhR7133PC (10/5): THE HOTEL IS EXCELLENT but - As your feedback does not seem to be working I will try here. This was for my wife's birthday booked by our children. We cannot fault the Hotel they were excellent but the restaurant was the complete opposite you walked through the entrance which was filthy and because of my disability were allowed to sit at large oval table it was excellent so we booked the same table again for our family gathering for the follow evening which booked there and then. On the following evening we arrived and found the table was given to a party of 3, we given a smaller table at the far end of the restaurant with a small table on the end which made it very tight and uncomfortable and awkward as I have to use crutches most of the meals were ok but one was the Steak salad when it arrived the steak was cremated on top & underdone underneath the salad contained chips, peas, onion rings and half a tomato when asked for the salad it arrived with a very small bowl containing lettuce, half a tomato and sweetcorn and at no time was offered a replacement meal and as the rump steak was not edible we returned the meal. an excellent birthday surprise, Thank you Alan Harkett also Kathryn Root

• livingstonesherts (8/5): Good room, nice staff, very poor decision to remove the only vending machine that offered healthy drinks like water or - Decent room, friendly. helpful staff, a good place to stop overnight on both our outward and homeward bound journeys. The staff at the restaurant next door were also friendly and helpful, but we didn't enjoy breakfast on our outward stop, so shan't bother eating it this time. I do have a gripe about the rather foolhardy decision to remove the vending machine that sold water, and, I think fruit juice, if I remember correctly. The only option now just sells Fanta, Cola or Lucozade, and poor quality snacks. Not everyone wants the sweet, sticky, unhealthy choices, and my opinion of overall management (because I doubt it was local staff) has now plummeted. To remove completely the healthier options turns a 'premier' Inn into something slightly below average, and I hope people will object loudly until the better option is replaced.
• I4725MQjohns (10/5): A true star and a credit to Premier Inn. - I’d like to give a big shout out to Denise, one of the kindest, most helpful people I have ever met. My wife and I were actually booked into the town Premier Inn by the castle and were walking from the station to the hotel when my wife had a terrible back pain and could hardly walk. We saw another Premier Inn just down the road and thought if we could reach it they may let ring a taxi to their sister hotel. Denise saw the trouble my wife was in and insisted that she would take us in her own car. When we arrived she helped my wife out of the car but would not take a penny for her. Thank you Denise
• stephensY7221RJ (10/5): Well placed hotel for a bit of touring - Very standard Premier Inn. We didn’t opt to have our room cleaned but collected fresh towels each day. Only two story so no lift and we were a long walk from reception beyond 7 fire doors! Our room looked out at the back of the hotel. Not much of a view but nice and quiet. We had air conditioning which was a bonus but only half the rooms do at present so worth asking when you book. Hotel was very clean. Premier Inns usually are. Reception only staffed some of the time but always helpful. There is a separate restaurant next door. We had a nice meal each night and breakfast each morning(no cooked buffet) but we always got we ordered. The restaurant / bar was short staffed throughout our stay but the staff on duty worked jolly hard and kept cheerful. Not a place to dine if you are in a hurry..And parts of the restaurant could do with a general clean and some TLC. The menus is a bit limited and you would soon get fed up if you were staying for a long time. Another time we would probably not opt for the meal package. It is good value but there are plenty of places to eat out. The hotel access brings you into an industrial estate which might be a bit off putting but plenty of parking. Just make sure you register at reception. This hotel is close to the park and ride which gives you easy access to the city centre and near the A12. Would be happy to stay here again
