Guest Reviews
- Omatseye (2/5): - We stayed in this property for 5 days (December 11 to 16). On checking out, we asked for the total fee for our parking our vehicle for the 5 nights. We were told it costs £8 a night and to pay using the machine at the gate. We did. We paid £40 for the 5 nights. We got home, and received a £60 "fine" for parking at this hotel, even though we paid, we have the receipt and it shows in our credit card. We got another £60 admin fee charged by our car rental company to our card for this same "fine". We called the hotel and they said there is nothing they can do. We called HORIZON PARKING and they said they don't deal with appeals over the phone. They not even interested in listening to us or looking at the evidence. Before the hotel "moved" the car park management to HORIZON PARKING", we had stayed here 3-4 times in the past each time we are in the UK, pre-covid. So, in essence, we lost £160 to parking fee for 5 days! This is certainly our last time staying in this hotel. They should get their act together and take responsibility for clients who stay with them rather than hiding under the coverage of Horizon Parking managing their parking.
- F12MPpeters (8/5): Quiet hotel - parking, comfortable room/services, friendly staff, café, etc. helps provide good nights sleep. good - Review The Premier Inn, Boreham, Chelmsford, Essex
Looking back, perhaps the biggest challenge when staying at The Premier Inn in Boreham was negotiating the three roundabouts when leaving the A12 to reach the entrance to the hotel in Main Street, Boreham. Traffic was fast/challenging and so too were the road signs that were numerous and confusing for first timers. On Main Street there’s a sign board directing you to the hotel (and another to the Grange public house which shares the same site/car park). The car park is large (and contains six charging points for EVs).
Once in the car park, however, everything about the hotel worked like ‘clockwork’ …. there’s location, friendly staff, a clean room with comfortable bed/facilities, an elevator to the second/third floors and an attractive/convenient café on the ground floor next to reception. These highlights feature in many of the reviews (and result in an overall value hovering around 4 – ‘Excellent/Good’). Our review will be much the same. What more can you ask.
There are also a handful of negative reviews on file - reference to rowdy late-night-comers keeping the rest of the corridor awake, issues of dirty towels, reference to the slow WiFi available, etc. Fortunately, we faced none of those issues.
Park in the large carpark within the L-shaped design of the hotel and the entrance is to one end of the building. You need to negotiate 3-4 steps up from the pavement to reach the entrance door into reception. There is a slope alternative, but access is not immediately clear to those parking out front – it is better to park around the side of the building to gain access.
The woman behind the reception counter was classic – friendly, informative, helpful (two or one e-keys?) and had us processed in <5 minutes. She pointed out the café, elevator and the use of the e-key for accessing the main door should we be out late at night. We had a couple of heavy suitcases, and the elevator was a cinch. You also need the e-key to gain access to the corridors/rooms. Ours was room 128 which overlooked the car park. Later that evening you could count the cars parked - around 30 - so the place was comfortably empty.
The room was sufficiently spacious for two – large bed/duvet with headboard to the wall and facing the TV mounted on the wall opposite and above a long desk/bench. At one end was an electric kettle and a small selection of teas/coffees/sugars/sweeteners in a plastic box. There was a heater mounted on the external wall above and to one side of the window. It may have doubled as an air/con, but we did not explore it further – setting the air/blow for 19 degC to bring the bedroom temperature down.
The bed was really comfortable. We had a great night’s sleep.
The ensuite shower/bath unit/washbasin/toilet was in one corner of the room. Lots of hot water. You need to step up and over a fairly high-sided bath to gain access to the shower head. Then there’s no wall-mounted hand hold at the shower end of the wall, although there is one at the other end of the bath. There was no separate anti-slip mat for use in the bath – only shallow raised stud-markings set in the base of the bath where you stand to shower. The shower unit may challenge some guests - older, less agile, less confident, disabled, etc. people.
We had a couple of hours available before catching the train in Central Chelmsford the following mid-morning, so plentiful time in which to enjoy the café in the hotel …. except, there was no light ‘coffee & brioche/cornetto/croissant option’ at reasonable prices. On offer were two ‘all you can eat’ options: 1. Full English (i.e. cooked) breakfast for GBS10.99/person and 2. Full (non-cooked alternatives) cereals, toasts, croissants, spreads/condiments, etc. for GBS8.99/person. Instead, we opted to drive into Chelmsford, park near to the station and find a café nearby and enjoy the pleasure of coffee/brioche on the pavement in the morning sun. Three of us sat outside a 19thC. building next to the rail bridge that had once been a public house. We had the outside seating to ourselves. We paid GBS15.00 for the pleasure of an hour’s exchange ‘putting the world at rights’ before the train arrived.
Premier Inn downsides? Well, apart from a handful of relatively small issues already mentioned, there was that first/unfortunate image presented to guests stopping over – delipidated images/peeling paint/unkempt paintwork around the entrance porch/framework/door and, equally, the carpet of cigarette dog-ends (empty packets too) that littered the gardens everywhere within a couple of metres of the entrance door. You can’t smoke within the buildings but, clearly, the smoking zone begins a few centimetres outside the front door. New sign boards? And, where’s that vacuum cleaner when you need it?

- darronn721 (8/5): Good for a short visit - Staff were well trained and very friendly. Good location for the shops and easy to get to Chester by bus. Rooms were very clean and well maintained. Excellent location for the Aquarium and the zoo as well as chesire oaks shopping centre.
- angiesS8147XB (10/5): Excellent Customer Service! - This is the nicest premier inn we stay in, mainly due to the professional and friendly staff. We visit a few times each year and have never had a bad experience. We stayed 2 nights this time and were welcomed by Ann on reception who was friendly and efficient. We had breakfast both mornings. The first morning chef Jo and Jasmine looked after us, the second morning chef Dom and Jasmine. Food was delicious and Jasmine was so cheerful and welcoming to everyone, making a lovely atmosphere in the breakfast area. All guests left with a smile. The housekeeping staff always greeted you with a smile and were very helpful. We have stayed in 4 star hotels around the country and some of the staff aren't nearly as helpful and pleasant as the team at Boreham! We slept well both nights, room was clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money and a good location with free parking which is always a bonus. Highly recommend a stay here. We will be back!
- henk2020 (10/5): Very good experience, thank you. - Very good experience. We arrived very late, but all the staff were friendly and smiley.
The room was very clean, beds comfy and the towels soft, fluffy and very white.
The breakfast was excellent, cooked to order and Jordan our waiter was lovely.
Parking on site was good, would recommend to anyone.
- X8992BPhollys (8/5): Great customer service - Brooke was the shining star of our stay, always happy, brilliant customer service. She really made us feel welcome and looked after.
The hotel is good. Little tired in places. Overall its clean and comfy. No air-conditioning so the room was quite hot at the start.
Restaurant kitchen is small, so dinner could be slow, but the breakfast was great.
Would stay again. Convenient for working in Chelmsford.
- pamhD4677AK (8/5): Spotless hotel - We could not fault our room. Everything spotless. Credit to housekeeping. All linen crisp and white. Comfy bed and good night sleep.
Despite extensive renovations very limited impact on our stay .
Only downside for us the pub was closed but sure that is only temporary.
Excellent value and service thankyou
- lukeaG8883FX (8/5): Mixed Experience: Helpful Staff but Disappointing Dining - I found the hotel staff to be generally helpful, although they seemed a bit dismissive during check-in. It was unclear whether this was because they were busy or understaffed. When I arrived in my room, it was very cold. I tried adjusting the heating controls, but after 30 minutes, the temperature hadn’t improved. Eventually, I discovered that the heater was switched off at the wall.
In the restaurant, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant, with only about 10 tables occupied. I ordered calamari as a starter and a mixed grill with steak (requested medium rare) and topped fries for my main course. Unfortunately, the calamari was overcooked and dry. The steak looked unappetizing, resembled a minute steak, and was cooked well done instead of medium rare, with a grey color. When I raised this with the waitress, I was told the steak looked fine and matched my request. I asked for a replacement, but the new steak was only slightly less cooked and still not what I had ordered.
- N9255RZrachelt (10/5): Friendly service and decent food - Really good service over two breakfasts and dinners in the week. Very friendly and professional staff. Food was pretty good too!
- K4915IPbw (10/5): An all rounder - Really nice chilled atmosphere, able to get on with some work in the bar seating area. Food was pretty good for a hotel chain.
- Judoman45 (10/5): 1 night stay - Ideal location right off the motorway, friendly staff and lovely new redesigned rooms. No frills does exactly what it says on the tin.
- Voyager780505 (10/5): Jordans awesome Service - We stayed overnight at the Chelmsford Premier inn. Jordan made us feel welcome from the very start of our stay, he communicated well and explained all we needed to know.
Jordan was also working the next morning and alongside Brooke, he continued to ensure that every guest was looked after in an exemplary way. Both Jordan and Brooke made breakfast a very enjoyable experience.
When we checked out later, Jordan gave my husbands jacket to him which he had forgotten at breakfast.
We have stayed at many a Premier inn but never received Customer Service like this. Very friendly and helpful and most of all, an assett to the company.
- quinm49 (10/5): Very enjoyable - Brooke was an excellent cheerful hostess, who was attentive, jolly and great at cocktails, we would come again and recommend the restaurant
- N7808JGannem (10/5): Great service - Jordan was wonderful and very attentive couldnt have asked for a better waiter ,
Thank you would definitely recommend .
He was very and very chatty
- Q2994POruthw (8/5): Such lovely staff - Huge thanks to the staff, the receptionist was ever so kind to us. For example calling me to let me know we had left our baby blanket in the room, and upgrading our breakfast free of charge when there was an issue.😊 the staff at breakfast were also very friendly and helpful. I could hear the guests in the room above me stomping around at night time but I am a light sleeper so I wouldn't generalise this hotel as "noisy". Thanks for a good stay and great food!
- wander_soul_2 (6/5): Vans everywhere - We stayed at the Premier Inn Chester South East last week. The hotel itself is fine, and staff were pleasant and helpful, (the reception seemed to be permanently unmanned but there was a buzzer).
The small onsite car park was full of work vans during the day and overnight (presumably belonging to contractors doing the renovation work), which meant we had to park in a dark, quiet car park next to an abandoned restaurant building next door. It didn’t feel very welcoming or particularly safe at night with kids. I can’t understand why the vans couldn’t use that area instead, leaving the main car park by the hotel entrance for paying guests. To make matters worse, some vehicles were parked across two bays, reducing spaces even further, frustrating when there aren’t many spots to begin with.
Our room was dated, although renovation work is clearly in progress. There were no power sockets by one side of the bed, and the other side didn’t even have a bedside table. On the positive side, the staff were lovely, and breakfast was excellent. They catered well for a gluten-free diet - I appreciated seeing the chef take care to use a separate toaster for gluten-free bread, and it was reassuring being able to see into the kitchen.
The breakfast area seems to have been converted from a few bedrooms, which is I’ve not seen before at Premier Inn, but it worked perfectly well. I didn’t hear any noise from the renovations (a relief), though I did hear a fair bit of noise from the room above.
Overall it was a fine stay but nothing special. The parking situation was a real downside, and the room felt tired. I’d consider staying again once the renovations are complete - hopefully with better parking arrangements.
- tomhI8051VG (10/5): Lovely staff! - I've stayed in a few premier inns and its always a good stay- comfy bed, awesome hot breakfast. What made me leave a review for Chelmsford Springfield was how helpful and friendly all the staff were. Made all the difference to my busy work week away from home. Thank you!
- Daydream28792436877 (10/5): Great experience - Great hotel, big rooms, comfy beds, very clean, amazing breakfast and lovely staff. Very happy customer! I will definitely return!
- 526gs526 (6/5): Exactly what you expect from a premier inn - In need of a refurb and it is getting one soon. Clean enough but was far too hot but fans were provided which did help. Staff friendly and helpful. Will probably return after the refurb.
- D754IAsueh (10/5): Perfect location for us! - The hotel was in a perfect location for visiting family as well as getting to some Nature reserves we like. There is plenty of free parking and EV charging, if needed. Although there is no restaurant or bar in the hotel building, there is a large pub next door where breakfast can be served and a good choice of food in the evening. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, which is always appreciated after a long journey. There room we had was large, clean and comfortable for our 5 night stay.
- V5486MDjenh (8/5): Good room, good value - Good hotel, decent room, good value. 2 watch-outs - a compulsory £8 parking charge that was not clear when booking, and room can be a bit noisy as close to services and lorry park.
- 247dianem247 (8/5): Consistently good - overnight stay 24/10. Have stayed at this hotel many times over the years The interior is looking very smart and welcoming. The first set of doors used to enter the main building need to be replaced or given a coat of paint as they are scruffy and not in keeping with the inside. Our room was quiet, clean and as a Premier Inn should be.What makes this Premier Inn stand out is the staff. We always receive a warm welcome from friendly smiling staff. This visit it was the Clare on duty who smiling, friendly, professional and had time for a chat. The lady who was on duty when we checked out was also friendly and wished us a safe journey . We will be returning at Christmas
- Q2041YHgregw (10/5): Our Home from Home experience - We stayed at this Premier Inn for a three week period during our daughter’s inquest in nearby Chelmsford. Having spoken to the hotel staff prior to our visit, they accommodated us in a quiet room and showed us extraordinary understanding and empathy. Whilst we were there, nothing was too much trouble and they were sure to check in with us whenever they saw us coming or going. The room was comfortable and clean and the bed was super. It certainly felt like our Home from Home during a difficult period for us. On returning to the hotel for the inquest conclusion, we were greeted like old friends, even with wine and biscuits in the same room that we had previously been in-a most thoughtful and welcome touch.
- mikeeK6208LW (8/5): Impressive Breakfast. The car Park is a shambles. - The breakfast was very impressive.
The parking was a complete shambles with all the work going. Reception guy didn't have much of a personality. The lady tried charging £15 on arrival for early check in of an hour even though the room was ready. The location was brilliant and some really convenient stuff nearby.
Overall, the value of money for the stay was reasonable for what I paid.
- 966stephw (8/5): Good stay at Priemer Inn - We stayed as we were visiting relatives for a party.
The rooms were clean and comfortable and we found it quiet.
There is a Sainsbury’s opposite however there is no bar here it has closed down. We would stay here again just not having the attached restaurant was a bit of a pain.
We asked in Sainsbury’s about places to eat and a member of Staff told us about a pub further up in Huntington called the Rake And Pikel.
We ate there and I have to say it was fantastic it’s a bit far to walk but about a five min drive away.
- G14red (2/5): Renovation at Hotel - When we checked in on the Thursday there was a huge refurbishment going on we were not told of and we had booked a few days in advance it was not on their website as stated by the staff. There was a sign on the desk saying the electricity would be off the next day from 10 till 1. We had a two night booking!! We asked about what time the tradesmen started and was told 8am the noise was horrendous above our room with tools being dropped on the ceiling , drilling , sawing hammering .We always stay at Premier Inns and have never made a complaint until now. In my opinion the scale of the renovation, transit vans, containers everywhere the hotel should be closed. The receptionists were lovely but could do nothing to help.
- Eelco (8/5): - Clean, friendly, good bed, great shower. Good value for money
- X2361IWlesleyf (10/5): Recommended stay - The Boreham Premier Inn in Chelmsford was a great place to stay. We found the staff helpful and accommodating. The rooms were up to the usual cleanliness standard. There were however a few signs of wear and tear, at the back of the bed the wall had been scraped and the paint had come off and a grab handle was missing in the bathtub. But apart from that which wer minor things we had a great night's sleep in the beds and chose a continental breakfast which was really good. I was made some porridge fresh by one of the staff and I have to say it was the best I've ever eaten 😋
- D5406WEangelah (10/5): Good Location - Good location for a visit to RHS Hyde Hall, very friendly and helpful staff. Loved the fact that hot breakfast was served to table and cooked to order.
Only disappointment was having to pay for parking when only premier inn customers were likely to use the car park.
- dgy493 (10/5): Great staff - A usual Premier Inn experience, good value for money, what make it stand out for me is the staff team, friendly/engaging, always want to help/advise without been patronising
- Experience289834 (10/5): Phil was exceptional - Visited for the weekend and was greeted by Phil who checked us and gave us a variety of recommendations for live music and a great restaurant he even booked us a table. Can’t wait to stay here again
- ianjK5745EK (6/5): No charge points. - Spotlessly clean as always but £150 a night and breakfast isn't included!
Also no wall charge points. What year is this?
- Meldrew1950 (6/5): Let down by TV tat! - A comfortable room is usually to be expected - and was here.
BUT a cheap TV with not even the luxury of a HDMI port - poor in a time of extensive streaming.
- micahelw2014 (10/5): You're not going to find a cheaper great place to stay. - I wanted an affordable, comfortable hotel close to Chester Zoo, and this Premier Inn proved to be perfect for us. Really easy to find, plenty of parking and great location if you're travelling by car. The bedroom was very good and the bed was very comfortable. Our breakfast experience was first class; food was great but the winning feature was the excellent breakfast team.
- Charis-Annie (4/5): Once was enough. Sad refection of Premier Inn's previous reputation. - Dirty and shabby in all communal areas. Rooms tired with dirty carpets and smelly bathroom. Nice white towels though. Not enough staff to respond to customers though they were pleasant when you got their attention. Restaurant dirty, breakfast fair.
- vej84 (6/5): Mixed review - For £388 for 3 nights I expected more positives than negatives!
Positives - Location, Shower power and bed.
Negatives - so hot! A good fan provided but full of thick dust so caused us to do nothing but sneeze! 2 nights we had to sleep with window open but then was disturbed noise outside in the car park.
Rooms very run down and in serious need of an update. Our room smelled like hospital. Was tidy but nowhere near clean. Ive provided photos, not sure if they are preparing for Halloween or if they just dont dust? It was radio 2 in the park at Chelmsford when we stayed, im thinking maybe we had a room that hadnt been used in a very long time? Still no excuse.
On check out, no staff present to ask how our stay was. Very poor customer service! Service has gone down at Premier inns unfortunately
- tracylW1578ZC (8/5): Warm welcome and excellent service - We had a wonderful stay! The reception team were so friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The restaurant staff were also very welcoming and informative, and the chef was fantastic — she made lovely eggs to order and even brought them to our table. All the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.
- Q4519UOsimoneb (10/5): Excellent stay - Hotel was very clean. All the Staff so helpful and friendly. Especially the receptionist on Sunday 7th Sep. When we returned after a long day she couldn't have done enough to check us in and get us a drink. Brilliant nights sleep, breakfast was delicious. Definitely recommend.
- 566shadem (10/5): Excellent - Haizel is amazing! Very friendly and has good customer service. She made my stay a good experince and is an asset to the company! #payrise! 😊
#chelmsford, springfield
- rebeccarN727ZL (10/5): Great staff - The staff made this place the stay that it was! Welcoming, cheerful and very helpful. Nothing was a problem and they carried it with a smile.
- Mrsp74 (8/5): Comfortable stay - Stated 2.nights with for work.purposes.
Very clean and comfortable
The room was good air condition didn't work but a great fan in the room
Lovely staff
Definitely stay here again
- robbt201 (4/5): Ok hotel poor service. - Adequate hotel with poor bar and catering service, to be informed as a group of 10 that the bar would be closing at 9:30pm is simply not good enough. This would certainly make us question booking a Premier Inn again, surely if you have residents there you keep the bar and catering service open
- Travel593032 (10/5): Fantastic Service - I often stop at this Premier Inn with my grandchildren on my way out to day trips we stop for breakfast. There’s plenty of Premier Inns we could stop along our way but we always come here. why? because the service is fantastic. breakfast is great. It is always well stocked and the staff are really really friendly and helpful particular shout out to Jasmine Jo the chef Dominic the chef and Anne on reception who have all been fantastic every time we’ve been here. We go to a lot of Premier Inn and I have to say this one is my favourite for food and service
- karldX3853YM (10/5): Premier Inn Boreham - Upon arrival there was a warm and welcoming greeting from Clare on reception a lovely charming lady made the booking in effortless. Absolute pleasure to deal with.
Rooms clean and tidy.
Breakfast we were greeted by the lovely staff Ann and Jo who made us welcome and catered for us . The food was perfection all cooked fresh and the addition of asking what eggs we'd like and the poached eggs were a dream perfectly cooked with a lovely runny yolk thank you to all for looking after us . Would definitely recommend anyone who is on business or pleasure to stay here .

- T4964LIgrahamb (4/5): Fresh blood on sheets - We found fresh blood on the white bedsheets in the bed made up for our son. The receptionist did apologise and came in s straight away to change it, but clearly the sheets had not been changed from the previous person. I was also informed that I would have the breakfast refunded, but this never happened.
- Travelsfromsussex (6/5): Decent rooms. Shame about lack of security. - Room was clean and as you would expect for a premier inn. Very warm though. There was a decent fan which helped a bit. We couldn’t leave the window open (only opened about an inch anyway!) due to noise on the street outside. Reception staff and breakfast staff were lovely, but dinner time wasn’t as good, very slow service and we felt like we were putting them out asking for a drink.
We noticed that the fire exits, main door and door to the corridor of rooms downstairs were all propped open most of the time. It did make me feel a bit uneasy, especially with children, as it was very open, these doors all had card readers on but being open any one could have walked in!
Apart from that, an ok stay. Very easy to get to zoo and park and ride into town is nearby. Big Sainsbury’s too which is very handy.
- johncD3792CO (10/5): Breakfast Experience - My Wife and I would like to thank Jasmine,Jo ad Dom for their excellent service. This was experienced at breakfast this morning. Best regards John and Barbara Cole.
- abcde2599 (8/5): Stay here for Chester Zoo - Great place to stay for visiting Chester Zoo or the city of Chester. Sainsburys within walking distance. Missing the usual bedside power sockets and more importantly a grabrail for getting out of the bath/shower.
- M6784BVamya (6/5): The room was humid and stinky. - The service was good. However the room was horribly humid, smelt damp and the sockets were useless for our electricals.
- michellewJ5095OM (10/5): A wonderfull stay - We had a lovely overnight stay, family wedding & our anniversary combined we saw a lovely helpfully bubbly lady at reception Ann who went above and beyond bringing us a bottle of wine too our room for our anniversary, thank you Ann
The staff and the hotel were immaculate and the restaurant breakfast was wonderful there chef does amazing poached eggs 🥚 and the lady that welcomed us was very attentive and kind
Thank you all so very much ❤️
- 249annmm (6/5): Not good - Stayed for one night. On entering the reception area the smell of cigarette smoke was really bad maybe because the emergency door was open due to the warm day and the smoke was coming in. The bannisters were so filthy as the floor areas so much so I would not touch them. Really off putting. The room was dated but clean with good bed and bedding.
Sorry I will not be returning
- I3921CHannm (6/5): Not for me - Stayed for one night. Hotel is in need of a refurb. Room was dated but it was clean with good bed and bedding. No air conditioning just a fan on a very hot night. On entering the reception area smelt of cigarette smoke seemed to be coming from the emergency door area left open due to the heat. On the stairs the floor and banisters were really dirty, not acceptable. Sorry would not return.
- NicolaJB (4/5): Too hot, no ventilation, lovely staff - The staff here were so kind and helpful. Anything I asked was met with a smile and assistance. The problem is that the room was 28 degrees overnight on nights that were 15 degrees outside. It’s not a hot week but it was so unpleasant inside. There’s no ventilation. There are opening windows but with no ventilation there’s no airflow coming in. Minimal ventilation in the bathrooms also. It was very problematic. The fan was welcome but nowhere near enough. The restaurant is small but effective. Breakfast was standard as expected. I would only stay here again in the middle of winter, at a push. Such a shame because the staff were so good!
- Taduri (8/5): - Good
- anthonygN5049VM (10/5): Recommended! - Stayed here a couple of time in the past year. Okay, its a Premier Inn, so there are limits to the services available, BUT, the essentials are all there....eg rooms are very quiet (despite being near the road) and have all you need for a good nights sleep! Clean, comfortable, air-conditioned and good value. Breakfast a big bonus - The team deliver a great home-cooked spread served in a spotlessly clean eating area. Jasmine, Dom and the others are clearly proud of their breakfast and the results of their enthusiasm and hard work are clear to see.
Recommended!
- tobybV4951ML (10/5): amazing - really good service from joe i would really recommend this hotel to everyone
really nice drinks n stay in would definitely come again

- jessicasE2585KQ (10/5): 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽 - Really good service from Joseph really good service In general, really good drinks really nice drinks , lovely food and service
- AdamF1398 (4/5): Nice room, poor service - The room was upto usual standards a little tired but perfectly adequate. The welcome left a lot to be desired, left waiting at reception to check in and when he did come over it was almost like an inconvenience, when we complained about no parking spaces because it was full of work vans and a lorry taking up 6 spaces, he just shrugged his shoulders and said park over the road
- laineeh2022 (10/5): Great experience - Stayed in a lovely big room during the heatwave and the air con was a blessing. Lovely pleasant staff especially Jasmine in the dining room who made my family feel like the most important people in the room. She was very attentive, caring and willing to go out of her way for all who she came into contact with. Jo and Dominic were also very friendly, pleasant and welcoming. Thank you all for a lovely stay.
- G5076HQsharons (10/5): Perfect for our requirements of the evening - Had a very comfortable stay. Room very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice. Location was perfect for our party at the Lion Inn.
- victoriagF3376BC (10/5): Easy place to stay for Chelmsford - The parking was very easy and free. The Receptionist was very friendly and efficient. We had a carpark facing room which was quieter than the main road side. Comfy bed. Good bathroom facilities.
- AliceElizabeth12 (10/5): Lovely weekend away - The bed was very comfy, room was clean and a very decent size. Staff were extremely friendly, always someone around if you need them. Food was as expected, fresh and plenty available. Would definitely stay here again
- James (4/5): - Arrived at 2.10pm (50 minutes early) and despite the room being ready I was advised I couldn’t check in until 3pm unless I paid £15. For 50 minutes that’s ridiculous.
Bed was great but room even with window closed was very noisy.
Fan in the shower is poor.
Around the tv was exceptionally dusty and the fan provider was filthy, we had to scrub it clean. The kettle was full of water and limescale.
