Guest Reviews
- rhrays (10/5): Good value - Perfect for my needs. Breakfast was good in the attached beefeater. Did not eat dinner. Room was clean albeit small but had everything I required. Good price and value for money. Would absolutely stay again without hesitation
- radoslawb892 (10/5): An excellent place - A wonderful stay! The clean, spacious room was perfect for relaxing, and the hotel's location was excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant was delicious.
- ltI6203LY (10/5): Great place to stay - Great staff, very polite and helpful, clean rooms every time, comfy beds, great food, never had any issues with anything would highly recommend:)
- Q7150ITericp (10/5): All round excellent hotel and restaurant - A great place to stay ! Staff at reception were very welcoming with a swift and efficient check in, the room was perfect and exactly what we needed, clean, comfortable and warm. Could not fault the restaurant, a friendly welcome great food and excellent service.
- chloegT7639CA (10/5): The best Premiere Inn we’ve stayed at - As a family of 4 with two young children (8&3) this was the best Premiere Inn we’ve stayed at.
On arrival the lady at reception was so friendly and explained everything to us but also gave both our kids a goody bag!
Our room was clean and also had a hand written welcome note with some chocolate waiting for us.
We didn’t meet one member of staff who wasn’t happy, smiling and accommodating!
We will definitely be returning
- fionajanew (8/5): Noisier than most premier inns - I stayed here recently for a business trip, the staff were very welcoming and friendly, however, they do seem to also have to work in the restaurant which is external to the hotel and so you have to use the bell at reception to alert them to your presence and then wait for them to come down, whilst this isn't a long wait, the weather was poor and you have to go outside to get to the eatery which means the staff also have to run backwards and forwards in the rain. It seems remiss of the owners not to provide either a covered walkway for guests and staff or make it so you can exit the back of the hotel to go straight up into the restaurant.
The room was clean but difficult to heat as there was only a small wall mounted electric heater, bed was comfortable as always.
My main issue was the walls seem to be the thinnest of any hotel I have stayed in, despite the ZZZ signs on doors the guests still seemed to slam them and I was woken at 6am by people clearly leaving for the day. This is the first time I've ever noticed doors slamming at a premier inn.
There is no restaurant in the hotel itself, as mentioned its outside but in the same area so a short walk, the service was painfully slow, 2 courses took an hour and a half total to arrive, I had to ask in the end where my desert was as I had waited so long and at that point after a long drive, just wanted to go to bed. The restaurant was only open for a short time also, till 8 pm so of your arriving later you will have to eat elsewhere, search engines are misleading as they say the restaurant is permanently closed, its not, just has short service times.
- briankS5558TY (10/5): Premier Inn, premier quality, great location - My wife and I and our Guide Dog puppy stayed at the Premier Inn, Harpole, just off the M1, enroute to the Guide Dog training centre in Sheffield. We requested a room near the lift and were supplied with same. Our room was clean and extremely comfortable and there was a fantastic area around the hotel to run and allow our puppy to spend. We paid for and evening meal and breakfast at the Beefeater next door and were superbly dealt with by staff who were extremely attentive to both us and our Guide Dog puppy. Excellent food and a full and tasty breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
- SurendarSivaT (10/5): Cleanliness and comfort - The cleanliness and the comfort was really good. Sam did a good job of keeping the room clean and neat. Found this great place as a detour from my trip
- 509aidanc (6/5): Wait until this hotel is refurbished before staying - This hotel has had its refurbishment postponed for too many years. It is shabby and run down and does not compare with the usual Premier Inn experience.
- andyaD1267ER (10/5): World class Reception staff - The dark haired slim lady checked me in on Friday. Didn’t check her name / badge. But, she was a credit to Pi . She went over and above to help my needs during my stay. Even roped a colleague in to assist. He was equally as respectful , polite and courteous.
The room was lovely and clean, fresh and well maintained. Above all super quiet. Thank you for making it a pleasurable stay.
- benwW6190WE (10/5): Clean hotel - Clean and ticked all the boxes required. Breakfast was quick, hot and tasty. The hotel had parking and the staff were friendly.
- oscargN8329OO (8/5): Amazing - Michelle and Susan were amazing and really helpful!, room was clean tidy and they helped me with any queries I had!
Would come again
- J3528XSsamuelf (10/5): Work stay - Brilliant service plenty more of parking clean rooms friendly working staff loads of parking food was nice very clean !
- Jim-peterborough (4/5): Faulty Towers ! - Went to my room which was really shabby with a loose toilet seat virtually hanging off so I went down and asked if this was the best they could do and I was allocated another room.
Really helpful staff but on getting into the shower in my new room the shower head didn't fit the hose and there was water going everywhere at which point the shower door virtually fell off on closure lol.
I would have laughed except I paid nearly 400 pounds for three nights.
"Premier"not sure about that really, surely you can do a bit better?
- L9398DOpamb (10/5): Alternative to the City centre. - We were attending a wedding in the Cathedral in Newcastle. The city centre is expensive and noisy so we chose this location for VFM, and closeness to the Metro. We saved car parking and taxi fares. On Sunday morning we went to King Edwards Bay. Stunning.
We had dinner and 2 breakfasts in the restaurant. Welcoming and friendly.
- Nathan (10/5): - Clean room, friendly staff, great value.
- paulfQ9379DA (2/5): Unalive me now - A hastily dug shell scrape was better than this soulless dwelling. The staff were as miserable as Angela Rayner at a Unite vote of confidence meeting. The staff all had a cloud of doom hanging over them. A death row prisoner waiting for the guard to throw the switch on the electric chair would be more cheerful than this ensemble. The welcome was all but non existent, charisma bypass one and all. The staff looked like they had been press ganged into being there or serve on the Ukrainian front line.
No aircon in the room made sleep only possible through exhaustion. I now know how Alec Guinness felt in that sweat box in the movie 'Bridge Over the River Kwai'.
The hotel should be shut down until aircon units are fitted in the room window space.
Wi-Fi was very slow and kept disconnecting.
Food was served at the adjoining Beefeater restaurant. The building reeked of dampness and was almost as stiflingly hot as the hotel. No smell of food at all, probably due to the food being precooked and microwaved to give it heat.
The whole experience was unforgettable, unfortunately. We definitely won't be back. Find a homeless encampment if you can, at least the visiting NGO do gooder will give you a smile.
- 116marionm (10/5): 5 star treatment - Really pleased with our recent stay. Everything was spotlessly clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.
- M9451BHsophiem (10/5): Clean and tidy. - Completing a training course in northwich and booked to stay at this hotel for the location. Clean and tidy place with really friendly staff good restaurant attached and local shops were walking distance.
- johnathana898 (10/5): Good night stay. - Stayed in Northwich while picking a new car up the team were great check in was smooth and the restaurant was good. The team even asked me how my car was on the morning I was leaving small personal touch that made me feel valued.
- barb_mcgrath (6/5): Convenient to Northampton - Convenient to Northampton, Hotel and Beefeater in need of refurbishment and all looking a bit tired but value for money
- E8146CImarekb (10/5): great customer service - Very good customer service, they even made a discount for me and I'm grateful for that. Every time when I'm at the hole they are helpful.
- stephenhW4645EQ (8/5): Arrived in darkness, but breakfast staff saved the day! - Tried this Premier Inn for the first time before our flight the next day. It's a 25 minute drive to Newcastle airport.
On arrival on a Saturday evening it was very dark with all the car park lighting out - hopefully they've got it fixed now as it wasn't very welcoming. The hotel itself was the usual good PI standard, warm and comfortable with pleasant staff on the desk.
Visited the adjacent Brewers Fayre for dinner and breakfast which was fine, with particular mention to all the cheery, helpful and welcoming staff at breakfast - great customer service (Sunday 12 Oct).
- Steve009 (6/5): Tired rooms in need of attention. - Like many past reviews,I feel that this hotel is in dire need of renovation.
The room we stayed in was quite dated and the furniture, carpets and general state of it required attention.
The small portable television was positioned on the side of the standing wardrobe and very 90’s!
Not the standards I’m used to whilst staying in the many PremierInn’s I’ve visited and hope they invest in bringing this one up to the expectations that their loyal customers are used to.
The bed was comfortable.
The room definitely in need of a deep clean and some attention to detail.
All in all, passable but disappointing in comparison to all other rooms I’ve stayed it with PremierInn.
- JWB6503 (10/5): Albeit rather short but a very pleasant stay. - Easy check-in and out and a lovely room - warm and welcoming. Comfortable bed for a good night's sleep and, overall, a very pleasant stay, albeit short.
- Si_Devine (10/5): Perfect stay away in North Shields - Travelled to North shields with my Dad to visit Friends, stayed here from 9th to 14th (Room 19). This was an accessible room, ideal for my dad in a wheelchair.
The location was perfect to walk into town, but coming back took longer (probably due to weaving back and forth on the pavement). The staff were great....especially the ones that replaced my room card 4 times or so. The room was clean (not so much so when we left, but I'll blame my dad for that), quiet in fact...we didn't hear any noise (apart from Dad's snoring, he's getting the blame for that as well), comfortable, and the price was what we expected, good value for the week.
We are returning for another week, near the end of April, and was toying with a Travelodge.....Nah....Just kidding. They don't have staff as nice as the one's we had
.
See you soon xx

- mrskathleen (10/5): Always stay here fabulous hotel and staff - Always a lovely stay here staff are extremely welcoming and friendly I love coming to Newcastle and stay at this lovely hotel every time a big thank you to all the staff from my family for making our stays so wonderful 🥰🥰🥰🥰
- MacRac123 (10/5): Tried and trusted good quality accommodation and restaurant next door. - The first thing to note, is a large car park, with plenty of parking spaces and a really good Beefeater restaurant next door. I have used it many times before for both evening meals and breakfasts. Excellent food, wonderful staff.
I always receive a warm and friendly welcome from one of the lovely Premier Inn receptionists. I recently met Nichola who was extremely efficient in helping me sort out a problem.
The bedroom didn't disappoint, large, clean and comfortable, a nice big luxurious bed and good quality towels in the bathroom.
- adamcK8750MW (8/5): Very good - Generous sized roomed with a comfy bed. Bathroom is clean with a good shower. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Stayed here a lot never had a problem.
- Stay49399400317 (10/5): As expected - Stayed here for work. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean as you’d expect to find it. Would be happy to stay again
- P9701QTtinaa (10/5): Easy to access lots of places in the N. East - Location fantastic for DFDS ferry terminal, easy to get everywhere else, hotel was clean and rooms quiet, which was lovely.
- TheCriticOSW (10/5): Reliable and comfortable stay - I have stayed at the Premier Inn in North Shields a number of times while working nearby, and it has always been a great experience.
The hotel is clean, tidy, and very well kept. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, which makes checking in and out completely hassle-free. It really is a reliable place to put my head down for a few days and get a good night’s rest.
It may be a basic hotel, but it delivers exactly what you need: comfort, convenience, and a warm welcome. I will happily keep coming back whenever I am in the area.
- beverleye850 (10/5): Wedding - Stayed at this hotel while up here for a wedding. The hotel was very clean and reception very welcoming. Restaurant next door for meals from breakfast to evening meals. Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area.
- 207jemmaw (10/5): 1 Night Stay - Stayed here last month whilst attending a wedding close by. Very clean and satisfied with my stay, quick check in and lovely staff.
- X4367AQalicec (10/5): Would recommend - Really clean room, with polite and helpful staff. Wasn’t noisy at all and was able to access the WiFi. Would recommend to anyone considering 🙂
- Seaside64229686025 (10/5): Great stay 👍 - Stayed on a visit for my new business start up in the local area. Clean room, staff friendly, especially those on reception and nothing too much trouble. I also ate in the restaurant and the food was great value and piping hot. Will be back next time I’m in the area
- Wander05659489673 (10/5): Extremely helpful - We had to rearrange our booking at short notice due to illness. Liam at the hotel was really helpful in amending our booking.
- 834garetha (4/5): Disappointing and inaccessible - This was a disappointing experience, particularly as we usually find the premier inn brand very consistent.
My husband is a wheelchair user so we booked an accessible wet room at this hotel. The room was at the back of the hotel, and the corridors couldn’t accommodate my husband’s wheelchair. He had to get up and walk down the corridor, causing him excruciating pain and holding up other guests, which added to my husband’s stress and embarrassment.
The room itself was fine, and the lady at check in, when she was alerted to the issue with the corridors was absolutely lovely, she went above and beyond to offer what she could, such as opening the fire exits for us. Unfortunately, the design of the building made using these impractical.
We ate at the attached beefeater for dinner and breakfast. For dinner, despite us making a booking for 6pm, this didn’t make its way to the restaurant. We were asked to leave and go round the outside and enter through the bar area. Again, this was an accessibility issue - trying to negotiate the wheelchair around the tight corners on ramps and take a long way round the outside is unreasonable in my opinion as we’d booked for 6pm on check in, and arrived at 6.03.
Breakfast the next morning was fine, except that the coffee machine was broken and only instant Nescafé sachets were offered. A noticeable downgrade from the normal offering.
I’d strongly advise against booking this hotel if you have any accessibility requirements, as the design of the building and location of the rooms made this hotel inaccessible. I do want to reiterate though that this review is not directed against the staff members we interacted with, who were all lovely and a credit to the hotel. The two stars I gave were more than earned by their helpful attitude and compassion for our situation.
- elainekirk2017 (8/5): Good place to stay. - Not as good as our last visit but there was a lot of work going on. Had problems with wi-fi. Carpet outside our room needed a good clean. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay. The location is great. Good food in the restaurant next door, and there is plenty of free parking. Would be happy to stay there again.
- mikecR7520SQ (6/5): Disappointing hotel. Needs renovation - We stopped here on the journey north from the South Coast. The initial impression is bad with apparently random rooms in dated buildings. The room was clean with a good bed. The restaurant was very dated and service felt desultory.
As with other Premier Inns there were various items missing from both dinner and breakfast menus e.g. no bacon!
- 880lenl (2/5): Parking Fine + No WiFi - Parking Fine: I have received a parking fine even thought the receptionist reminded me to enter my registration. Premier Inns refuse to help and now say they can't find my booking reference. I have the reference in my inbox but now have to appeal the parking charge with the parking company who are crooks. Hours and hours trying to sort this out over the phone. Stay somewhere else or be prepared to pay an extra £95 for the privilege of staying in this dump which doest have wifi no matter what they claim.
- KGMills (8/5): Very reasonable price for a comfortable sleep/stopover - Easy to locate, book, registering. Very comfortable beds, quiet. Grateful for ground floor room. Would recommend as a stopover
- maxn358 (4/5): Nothing premier about this inn - Room not properly cleaned
Bin not emptied
Old sock left on the floor from previous occupant
Food mediocre
Old empty sauce bottles placed upside down on top of new ones to drain the reside sauce into
Coffee machine not working
- Tangerine1974 (2/5): Do yourself a favour and don’t stay here - The poor staff in this hotel !! This hotel needs a serious overhaul . Not enough staff , cleanliness and general maintenance awful , bedroom was pretty bad with dust , mould and flaking paintwork . Restaurant terrible
- SarahnJ0hn (10/5): Excellent value - I stayed two nights at this hotel while visiting the North East. There is plenty of parking space and it is free. The outside of the hotel looks a tad tired as does the reception area however the staff are very welcoming and helpful and the room was extremely comfortable and very clean with pure white bedding and fluffy white towels.
Excellent value and a good nights sleep guaranteed.
Breakfast next door was plentiful and also excellent value.
Try the caffe it is amazing!!
- johndC5803CG (2/5): Dreadful Night's Experience - Our room 127 was so hot we had difficulty sleeping even with no coverings on us. The window only opened by 2 inches so we could not get any cooler air from outside. There was no air conditioning unit and the fan provided only re-circulated the very hot air.
I discovered the following morning that the rooms that did not face across to the outlet shopping centre were much cooler.
- avagadavagam (10/5): Not all heroines wear capes, some wear a Premier Inn uniform - Picture this, I'm volunteering locally at the DIY SOS for Children in Need, after a long day I check into my hotel and when going into my room I'm greeted with a huge spider on the wall.
As an autistic man who is not only terrified of spiders and clearly not caring about being proud or cool, I ventured to the front desk and asked the lovely member of staff working overnight if she had anything that could help me catch this Brobdingnagian monster.
Emma (who was so kind, friendly and genuinely a superstar throughout) came to my room, stood on a chair and helped me catch it in a moment that was definitely uncomfortable for her too.
Now, I get a great nights sleep and don't need to worry about any of my limbs being eaten during the night. Honestly, what Emma did was above and beyond, I was fully expecting a "no" or some contraption to help but I've genuinely never seen such incredible customer service and honestly, whilst she saved my life, she did it with a smile too. What more could you want from a hotel?
- patrickcK6659XX (4/5): S%#t - So, after getting the ultimate wifi, I'm sat in the reception writing this review using my phone hot spot. I can't get a phone reception in my room, can't even log on to the 'ultimate wifi' in my room, or reception. There's absolutely no chance of the Internet working, the further away you are from reception, the less chance you have connecting. Premier Inn, it's 2025 not 1995. An Important part of being away on business is the ability to send and receive emails, I don't want to sit in that awful bar next door to do my office work. So here I am, sat in reception, trying to conduct business. Ridiculous!
- trevorpharper (10/5): Top notch all round. - Very good experience
From booking in to booking out
The meal at the restaurant was very good -Greeting, Service was very good. Clearing plates etc as soon as required without being asked.
- Joe1949 (8/5): Excellent staff but needs refurbished - We stayed here again for two nights. All our interactions with staff members were excellent, but the hotel is now showing signs of age. The Wi-Fi was only spasmodically working, and there was no hot water on our first morning (although it was subsequently fixed).
Our room was clean, but furnishings seemed frayed, and there were no glasses for drinking water. We will stay again, but hope for some improvement to the fabric of the property.
- Joringer (6/5): OK stay but v hot - Hotel convenient for trip to Tugby. Staff at desk really friendly , problem
With card machine so had to give them
My number to process. Rooms are very small , smaller than a normal premier inn I would say. Clean on the surface but under the bed not so clean and communal areas also could be cleaner. Main issue was that the room was vv hot. Opened window but road noise made this impractical. Second day left window open all day so not so hot.
- KJS1331 (2/5): Horrendous, bathroom stank of urine and couldn't access the hotel for nearly half an hour. Avoid - Worst premier inn (possibly hotel in general!) I have ever been to. Checked in online and arrived at 11.15pm, sole traveller with my young son after a long journey, door was locked, fair enough. Ring the buzzer it said, I rang it, and rang it and rang it. Rang the landline, hammered and banged on the door. At one point genuinely considered setting off the fire alarm just to get someone to come let us in! Eventually my banging rang up a poor guest who let me into the hotel where I then proceeded to spend the next few minutes pressing the internal buzzer until finally someone arrived. "Have you been waiting long" she asked?? Well yes, I have... approximately 25 minutes, my son at this stage had gone back to the car in tears to lay down. Staff were very dismissive of the issue... telling me that the landline hadn't worked for ages, well that's not good is it?? I explained that I had pressed the buzzer continuously and repeatedly and clearly it didn't work. She refunded our breakfast charge at this stage and we left to go to our room (nearing midnight, with a 9 yr old). The whole hotel looked tired and grubby but it was too late for an alternative. I put my son to bed and went back to move my car, reception deserted again. Upon going back to the room and using the toilet, I noticed it stank of stale urine- like a public toilet at the beach kind of smell. Really strong. The Lino looked old and I imagine was the cause of the smell. My son was asleep so mentioned it as soon as we got up, the receptionist said she'd get it cleaned whilst we were at breakfast and we returned to a room that stank of bleach. Not to worry, within half an hour/45 minutes, the urine smell had returned. Room 31 needs more than a daily clean, that floor needs replacing, it was horrific and even my son (who regularly uses school toilets!) mentioned how bad it was.
There was no butter at breakfast and again, who lets this happen... so an order maybe wasn't delivered but wouldn't you send someone to a local shop to get a couple of blocks to portion up???
I've since read a few reviews of similar feedback and honestly, this hotel ruins the premier inn brand, myself and my son love premier inns and have stayed at about 6/7 in the last few months and have never experienced anything like this. The whole hotel needs to be shut down and sorted out, room 31 wasn't suitable for use.
At check out, I enquired about a partial/full refund and was informed it wasn't possible as "I had been let in eventually and the buzzer was working fine during the day". Surely the door wasn't locked during the day so how would they know this and when she actually tested it, must have pressed it about 15/20x before her pager beeped- with her standing right next to it. Anyhow, avoid it at all costs- go to Northampton City Centre which is gorgeous!
- JOHNTY49 (8/5): Great hotel next to the Ferry Terminal - Everything about this hotel was great. Cleanliness is alway the same whichever of their hotels you stay at. The only down side was that our room was opposite the main road to the ferry terminals and traffic ran most of the night. When guests stay there in the future I would suggest that they ask for a room on the other side of the hotel.
Then you get the odd idiot that has been out drinking until late and decide to continue their loud conversations walking down the corridors leading to their rooms.
Food next door in the Brewers Fayre was really good and their breakfast was perfect
- Cruiser824707 (8/5): Nice stay - Not the best looking hotel but a good standard and the restaurant next door was really good for food. Staff very friendly and in restaurant very helpful
- 681aprylf (10/5): Would recommend - Fantastic hotel. Staff couldn’t help more no ask was to big! Very friendly housekeeping staff that were always happy to give us what we asked for.
- annlYork (2/5): Avoid, avoid, avoid - From the moment we pulled into the car park to leaving it was dreadful. The outside of the hotel has rubbish and cigarette ends everywhere. The reception staff were outside smoking when we arrived not a good look at all. Went to our room the corridors smelt really fusty and horrible and the corridor carpets were filthy didn’t look like they had been hovered for a while. The room was like a sauna with no air conditioning it had a fan in it that was neither use nor ornament, the pillows were rock hard and the bathroom was full of black mould. We visited family that evening and returned at 10.30 went to get a drink in the bar but their card machine wasn’t working so we went to the room to get cash when we returned they had shut the doors so no drink.
We booked early breakfast at 7 as we needed to get my grand daughter to a football tournament early but they didn’t open the doors until 7.15.
Breakfast was shocking. The place was filthy crumbs everywhere, the toasters were both filthy and didn’t work properly, there were hardly any clean cups, the bacon was rock hard and the beans were cold. The fresh fruit salad was awful very bitter and dry obviously not done freshly and the bananas were brown. There was one person on duty who looked very disheveled and stressed so I didn’t complain to him at the time.
I phoned the premier inn today to complain and was offered £38 compensation because I didn’t complain at the time. There were a lot of us that stayed there and they all felt the same too so I would avoid this place like the plague.
We stay in premier inns quite often but never have I seen a place like this it needs condemning 😡😡😡
- richardoY3105UM (4/5): Way to hot - "Decent value, but unbearable in summer"
This hotel offers good value overall, but the lack of air conditioning is a major issue. It was impossible to sleep — the room was far too hot and uncomfortable, even with a very noisy desk fan. I would not stay here again during the summer months.
- suejim22 (10/5): Just the job! - We have visited here several times, always a great place to stay. We were there to attend a family funeral, location was very good.
Staff friendly and helpful, as usual, a special mention for Nicola, who have advice on taxis and restaurants.
These hotels give you everything you need, and you know what to expect. We stayed in one of the older rooms, so the temperature was ok for us.
Thank you, see you next time!
- Steveeleeds (2/5): Avoid on a warm day - I stay at premier inns very often all over the U.K. I had seen that some of the rooms were of the old style and some had been refurbished so I emailed the hotel to ask for a new room. The reception staff were great and emailed back saying I had been allocated a new style room on the top floor.
I arrived on the Saturday to a warm day outside 23 degrees (by no way heatwave temperature at that point in time in the north east). Just a pleasant warm day outside with a breeze and showers .The lady behind reception was lovely and said there was a fan in the room. She checked us in quickly and I cannot fault the reception staff at this hotel who were very friendly. I got to the room and it was 26 degrees so I went back downstairs. The lady apologised and offered one of the last few second fans they had. That evening was not a comfortable experience but luckily we were going out.
After seeing friends we arrived back to the room and the temperature has risen to 29 degrees with two fans on full. We had a terrible nights sleep. In fact barely got an hours sleep. We were soaking through with the temperature of the room and started to feel nauseous with the heat. By midnight the temperature was at 30 degrees in the room. It remained at this level until we checked out earlier than we wanted to as we just could not handle it any more. On our way out the lady that cleans the room said it was terrible and even though the corridors seem to be air conditioned ( as they were very cool) the rooms are not. She agreed it was too hot to stay in the room.
I rang customer services today to make a complaint. I was told as the rooms aren’t air conditioned there is nothing they can do. I was offered no compensation or refund for what was a truely horrible experience. Premier inn should not be putting people in these rooms. Air conditioning needs installing asap. To put guests in a 30 degree room and have them pay full price for it only to say sorry but nothing we can offer you is a disgrace. It was a total health hazard.
I am very dissapointed in premier inn customer service regarding this and they have not out the customer first in this instance. I stay at this brand many many times a year but will be reconsidering after the customer service I received today over the phone with head office.
Once again this is no reflection on the reception staff who did all they could with what they had.
- RUBY2180 (10/5): Quiet hotel, handy for ferry. Lovely staff. - Very quiet clean hotel. Very handy for the ferry and Brewers Fayre next door. Lovely helpful staff, especially hotel manager, Fiona, who looked after our helmets. Stayed at lots of Premier Inns. Definitely one of the best. Free safe parking.
- paulaustin66 (8/5): Premier Inn - Clean hotel with friendly Staff (especially Nicola on Rezeption).
The hotel is convenient for Percy Main on the Metro and the ferry (and cruise) terminal.
Will return , if we cruise from North shields in the future.
Whitley Bay and especially Tynemouth are well worth a visit.
