- Kirsty (10/5): - Staff were amazing on reception and a shout out to the male manager(?) next door at Beefeater! Excellent service!
Room was sufficient for our needs the only thing that would be great would be a smart tv in the room!
- glennmQ658XX (10/5): Friendly start to new career - Patrick Mabel and Steph were very friendly and helpful .Started with a new company so they made it easy for us all,Nice breakfasts and good service
- johnfA3282PK (8/5): TV fixed rapidly. - Fahad fixed the TV in about five minutes. Really appreciate the prompt service. Well done. Appreciate you taking time out to attend.
- anthonybX1841ZB (8/5): good clean economical hotel - nice clean new hotel, didnt like the auto check in but will get used to it. bath was quite a step in and out of to get to shower. those with mobility issues might find using showers harder. breakfast was ok
- Nomad64956342928 (10/5): 🌟 Excellent Stay – Outstanding Service from Duty Manager Rashme ❤️ - I recently stayed at the Croydon Town Centre Premier Inn, and I want to share the wonderful experience I had during check-in. I arrived feeling extremely stressed and tired, but Duty Manager Rashme completely turned my day around.
✨ First of all, Rashme is an absolute superstar for Premier Inn!
Credit to the management she was literally everywhere: helping in the restaurant, supporting housekeeping, assisting at reception… wow! 👏 She’s a true diamond for the company 💎 and represents the brand with pride and passion.
She welcomed me with a beautiful smile 😊, and with her incredibly kind nature, she delivered excellent customer service from the very start. Her sweet, gentle way of speaking and her naturally shy, caring personality instantly made me feel comfortable. It’s hard to explain how much her warm attitude meant to me at that moment she genuinely lifted my mood and made my entire day brighter. ❤️❤️❤️
It’s rare to meet someone whose positive energy leaves such a lasting impression. Premier Inn is truly lucky to have such a responsible, kind, and dedicated manager on their team. I sincerely appreciate her effort, professionalism, and the heartfelt way she interacts with guests.
🌸 Thank you, Rashme, for making my stay so lovely.
🌟 Highly recommended! ❤️❤️
- missc802 (10/5): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Shining Gem in Croydon – and Teresa is the Superstar ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I had the absolute pleasure of staying at Premier Inn Croydon throughout October and November, and I just have to say – this hotel truly became a home away from home.
From the moment I arrived, the team were warm, welcoming and genuinely caring. The rooms were clean, comfortable and peaceful, and I always felt safe any time I needed help, the staff were kind, patient and happy to assist.
But I have to give a very special shout-out to Teresa. ✨
She is, without a doubt, the superstar of Premier Inn Croydon.
Teresa’s kindness, warmth made such a difference to my stay. She doesn’t just do her job – she goes above and beyond, and you can really feel that she cares about the guests. Her smile, energy and reassuring presence brightened even the tougher days.
Please know that we are officially part of Teresa’s fan club now! 💜lol
And I hope that every time she reads this review, it makes her smile and reminds her of my smile ;) I might come in for breakfast again to count up for the days I missed haha.
To all the staff at Premier Inn Croydon – thank you for being amazing. To Teresa thank you for being unforgettable.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Croydon 🌟
- harijangg (10/5): Excellent service - Room was very good and service at reception and restaurant was very excellent staff was v.good service was with a smile specially TERESA'S SO JOLY GIRL THANKS only one complaint with happy hour offer when u order any beer NO STOCK NORE CANS YOU EXPECT US TO BUY EXPENSIVE BEER
- jasminev295 (10/5): Premier Inn - Hotel is a bit run down, but room is lovely and spacious. And breakfast is good, the staff at breakfast are so friendly and welcoming! Teresa deserves a day off! She’s been here every morning I have and is fantastic!!
- simonghughes (2/5): Great location for train station, but rubbish service and customer care is non existent. - We had been emailed by Premier inn to say that the lift had limited access which we thought we might have to wait for a lift. Actually there was no working lift at all.
Being elderly and waiting for a knee replacement far from ideal.
No heating in the rooms at all the heating control was dead and the staff just said it was a glitch in the system. We companied every morning and every even but no offer of a portable heater etc, staff didn't care despite it being the coldest days of the year (17-20th Nov).
On the Wednesday night at 9.00pm we went into the bar /restaurant for a drink to be told by a girl near the bar that the bar was closed, they were short staffed and with that she disappeared slamming the door behind her.
The two good points was the location, 2 minutes to the station and the breakfasts.
I actually asked one member of staff if they were shutting/ closing down as I have never experienced such awful customer care in such a big chain.
- J9115VIdanj (4/5): Lots of trouble getting room key to work - Very frustrating experience. We arrived very tired at 11:30pm on Friday, used the self-service check-in machine to create a room key, then headed to our room on the 4th floor, but the key didn't work. Went back down to reception and found a staff member who tried again to create a key, but after going back to 4th floor it still didn't work. Staff member let us into the room with his key and said to resolve it in the morning.
Next day the key still didn't work, so I asked another staff member. Again they created a new key, but again it still didn't work. They sent another staff member to let us into the room and said a maintenance man 'might' come and fix the door, otherwise they would switch our room. At midday on Saturday the key started working, although nobody had informed us that anything had been fixed.
All in all a very frustrating experience which caused us a lot of headaches and delays to our trip.
- 48mirh (10/5): My experience with employee Teresa very good. Teresa is a asset for Premier Inn Teresa mut be promoted for kitchen area - Location great Atmosphere very quite and good Room very good and nice rook clean value affordable Cleanliness very cleaned room and break fast area. Noise, noiseless service is very excellent Amenities very good no complaints
- 135shameerr (10/5): Clean and wonderfull - I had a wonderful stay in this room. It was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my visit. The highlight of my experience was the excellent service from the staff, especially Rashmi. She was incredibly helpful and guided us with anything we needed, always with a warm and welcoming attitude. Her support truly made our stay easier and more enjoyable.
- 581cherryd (10/5): Amazing - I had an excellent experience thanks to Rashmi, the Duty Manager. Her attention to detail, kindness, and commitment to providing exceptional service stood out from the moment I arrived. She handled every request efficiently and with genuine care. Rashmi is a true asset to the hotel, and I deeply appreciate her dedication.
- N3017CKjamese (10/5): Wonderful Support During Emergency Stay - My wife stayed in this hotel recently whilst I was hospitalised in Darlington after an accident.
This was the first time in a very long time that she has had to navigate staying away from home in a strange town without my company.
We cannot thank the staff at this hotel enough for their wonderful, helpful attitude which was enormously appreciated at a very stressful time.
On booking in my wife was allocated a second floor room. When she explained i had broken my leg and it was possible I might need to join her for a night before attempting the journey home to Norfolk hotel staff were happy to rearrange things so she had a ground floor family room with additional bed. They even made sure additional pillows were in the room in case I needed any to support my leg.
My wife ended up staying at the hotel for 4 nights. She was helped along the way by Paul, Ant, Christine, Tracy and Angela. All of these staff members showed her wonderful support from working out how to use your app, making bookings for further nights, restaurant bookings and refunds for nights not needed.
The hotel itself was clean and tidy and everything you would hope for from a budget hotel.
The food and service in the adjoining Beefeater Restaurant was also just what my wife needed as a lone diner.
We cannot overstate how thankful we are to the wonderful people who work at this hotel. You made a big difference. Thank you.
- alisonhS4619FQ (10/5): Brilliant family stay for 10! - Brilliant stay at the Premier Inn Morton Park for 10, lovely welcome from Angela who got us checked in, great rooms, clean, fresh and a lovely night sleep. Big shout out to Dan and Sam who served us in the bar and at breakfast including fabulous gluten-free/coeliac options. A great trip and lovely experience, thank you :)
- kellywL6654LK (10/5): Great service! - Had a great experience so far. Had breakfast this morning- food was great but service was even better. Our hostess / server Theresa was having a busy and later chaotic morning due to a guest braking a glass, but she was still super friendly and helpful through it all. Highly recommend getting the breakfast while you are at the hotel!
- iangM7276JU (10/5): Great place to stay for trips into London. - Great location ..2 minutes walk to East Croydon Station. So easy for trains into London . Perfect for our sightseeing break Although there was a problem with the Air Conditioning System and the lifts, we had a very good experience. Made possible by the nice friendly staff..Mabel on reception..And Teresa in the restaurant, who helped us enjoy a such a great breakfast..Which set us up perfectly for the day . Well done to them especially..So all in all a nice clean convenient and friendly hotel..and great value for money.
- T2313HMianm (10/5): Outstanding - I cannot recommend enough, the staff couldn't do enough for you warm and friendly and especially 'Alex' from the Thyme Restaurant, absolutely lovey lady and THANK YOU ENOUGH 'ALEX'
Ian
- L5210JGamandae (2/5): Staff need training on being human - Good news first. We had a terrific sleep and thoroughly enjoyed 12noon check out time. Cannot fault the room in any way. Location was also great for us spending the evening in Crystal Palace and close to the train station to get us there and home. Everything was clean and in working order (in the room).
Bad news and the reason for this review. Staff working there were completely incompetent. As we arrived we were told by other guests that the lift wasn't working so had to take the stairs. As we checked in using the self check in another guest came in telling staff that someone was stuck in the lift. The member of staff didn't seem to be bothered so we asked him if someone was actually stuck in the lift to which he replied "Apparently" and said he had knocked on each floor but hadn't heard anything back. I proceeded to go to the lift (on the same floor as reception!) where I heard someone moving around and asked if they were ok and needed help. A woman replied saying she was there with her child and that she had been there for over an hour with no correspondence with staff or anyone else (she later said she didn't want to bang or make too much noise of fear of scaring her child). I went and told the member of staff who said that there was an engineer on their way (this was a Saturday and we all know how long engineers can take at the best of times) We suggested he called emergency services as they had been there for quite a while and there was a child involved. His response was that Premier Inn's policy meant they could not call emergency services on her behalf and that if she wanted she would need to do it herself. We took it upon ourselves (as the staff seemed to have no interest in conversing with the woman) to ask her if she wanted us to call them. She replied yes as she had been trying to call for help for some time but had no signal (as she was in the lift). Within 10 minutes the fire department arrived to help her out of the lift. It is worth noting as well that the second member of staff on duty that day had gone on her lunch break, who we met waiting outside for the fire engine. As she came back in we asked her if she knew about the woman in the lift and she replied "yes, an engineer has been called" - if it was me working that day no way would I have taken my lunch break before the situation had been handled. It is absolutely baffling that this so called policy meant that a woman and her child could have been stuck in the lift for hours on end without toilet or potentially even a drink and by the sounds of it not one of the members of staff had been to check on them or reassure them that they were doing anything about the situation. The entire time we were waiting on emergency services and even when they were there to handle the situation, there was not one member of staff present. The lack of empathy from the staff was horrible and I would honestly not trust them if there was a serious emergency such as a fire or similar to handle the situation. Staff training is needed at this Premier Inn as our society's common sense seems to have gone down the drain.
To sum up, lovely room, do not use the lift. PS. I sincerely hope the woman involved received some kind of compensation or at least an apology.
- MarkP4319 (10/5): Top breakfast - Great service from the restaurant manager Teresa. Efficient and hard working.
Lift was broken and room was tidy. Have stayed here before and will stay again.
- EmilyJane1965 (2/5): Bad nights stay - 2 lifts both out use. Reception is on 1st floor. Mgr on duty wasn't much help. Room on 2nd floor was only cold air blowing out. This is all on 17th Nov
- Bryn-Hughes (10/5): Value for money and good location - Good location, friendly staff and usual clean comfortable rooms.
Group of us stayed for a nearby tournament and all said it was value for money with a good price.
Help yourself breakfast with lots of coffee to recover from the night before.
Friendly helpful staff, Teresa & Rasmee looked after us until we recovered🤣
- Departure300163 (6/5): Not as good as previous visits!! - Location is great for getting into central London with east Croydon station around the corner it’s very convenient. I have stayed here many times over the last few years but this time it did not meet my expectations, firstly both lifts were out of order, one due to a fire and the other one not functioning properly, so customers were expected to get up to their floors by the stairs, which is pretty hard going when u have a suitcase. We checked ourselves in at the reception, which to my surprise the machines were working and it was easy and quick to master. We went up to our room which was on the 2nd floor, on entering we noticed that the spare bed had not been made up and there was no bedding available for it, we also noticed that there was only 2 cups instead of 3!! We went and found a member of staff who brought up bedding etc and offered to make the bed, he was very attentive and efficient, sorry I didn’t get his name but obviously this had been overlooked by other staff!! We also had to go and ask about the air conditioning as it wasn’t coming on, a member of staff rebooted it and to our luck it came on!! We were allowed to leave our luggage the next morning while we went out shopping, which is a good bonus, we were greeted by Teresa, who was attentive, bubbly and seem efficient. Premier inn is reasonably priced for a stay in London, but this time it has let us down, think they need to make sure that the hotels are functioning properly before taking bookings, it does actually say one of the lifts isn’t working on their site but not that both lifts are out of order x
- 613loist (10/5): Big comfy bed, clean & lovely Tracy! - Stayed for one night, checked in and out with Tracy. She was very friendly and made everything super easy. Slept so well, lovely big bath and big comfy bed! Thank you for having me.
- leebeee (6/5): I would go elsewhere - This hotel is generally bad, lifts occasionally work, rooms are ok and at there normal standers, I would like to mention how good some of the staff are especially Theresa and Joseph,
- 639archiew (10/5): Business stay - Teresa was clearly very busy but was professional and very good at her job, also looking to instil this in the rest of her team making sure jobs are done properly from the get go.
- marcushA330RL (10/5): Angela - I'm back after a 4 month break and would just like to say thank you to Angela, always welcoming and a fab receptionist, thank you 😊
- NigelAlisonJnJ (10/5): Excellent receptionist - I would like to single out Tracy for her helpful cheerful input today. She was clearly having a difficult time with the new key cards failing. However that didn't stop her being cheerful and dealing with the crowds in a professional manner
Tracy so made some. Excellent suggestions for Hopetown and the brick train sculpture which we will do tomorrow.
Absolutely pleasure to deal with
- samcA3541VH (10/5): Excellent - Excellent location and lovely hotel, great value for money, just needed a smart tv is all I would like to add, would have made a huge difference being in the room.woth two small children.
- jeanettea773 (10/5): Good Value for Money - Excellent value for money. Hotel a little 'tired' but clean, plenty of parking and plenty of selection at breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.
- 158gillh (6/5): It was ok - First of all I would like to say the staff are very nice and helpful but the rooms are tired . One thing no charging point in room so remember charger. No toilet brush to clean loo. It was ok but iv stayed in better tbh
- Z1641YDhannaht (10/5): Highly recommend! - We had a great stay at Premier Inn Morton Park. We stayed for 3 nights 24th-27th Oct, 2025. Booked in advance a couple of months ago at £112.00. Great price.
Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who guided us through the check in kiosks. The room itself was clean and had everything as expected. It was front facing to the carpark and main road, but you cannot hear cars at night which was great.
Unfortunately we experienced some noise disturbance on the first night, someone banging on the doors down our corridor and our door. Spoke to a lovely man on reception whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch! (Bald, tattoos). He was apologetic, explained that all families had been moved to the other end of the hotel as there were several complaints about loud footsteps. We received free complimentary breakfast for the Sunday and Monday of our stay which was a very kind gesture.
Sunday morning our bathtub accidentally overflowed. Anthony on the reception was very understanding about it and provided us with more towels to clean up as well as booking housekeeping to come and replace the towels. He was always present on reception saying good morning to guests and checking they were ok. Thank you Anthony!
Fabulous sleep (other than the disturbances on the first night), such a comfy bed and quiet nights.
Breakfast was fab, lovely staff in there, too. And thank you for providing decaf tea bags!
Highly recommend!
- Bebside (8/5): Cheap price and convenient location - Overall the stay was pleasant enough. The staff were extremely friendly and efficient. The price was very fair as the rooms were tired and could do with updating. Breakfast was managed very efficiently and the hotel was in a convenient position on the edge of a small retail park.
- T6806ARjamesd (8/5): Lovely stay - First time at this Premier Inn & we weren't disappointed. The staff were very helpful & the room clean & quiet. If in the area again I would definitely book this hotel again
- tenikak2025 (8/5): Lovely stay - Had a lovely stay here while attending a friends wedding. Rooms were spacious and cosy. Tracey in reception was friendly and very welcoming, a credit to the hotel.
- M9468FBkais (10/5): Great nights sleep! - One of the best nights sleep we have had in a Premier Inn. We were concerned we would hear outside noises being on the middle of town and right by a big cinema, but we didn't hear a thing! This hotel was clean and tidy, rooms were a great size, staff were friendly and very helpful. The restaurant deals with allergies without missing a beat and with such ease!
- DaleTownson (10/5): Exceptional value for money - The room was clean and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and everything worked.
On arrival we were greeted by Anthony who was very professional and friendly. Throughout our whole stay he was there and helped with a couple of queries which we had, always with a pleasant stay.
We enjoyed the stayed and it was exceptional value for money.
- 239tonyl (8/5): Good accommodation - below average food and bar - Premier Inn Staff were amazing.
The pub/ food/ bar was OK. Always seemed short staffed and there always seemed to be people queuing/ complaining! We went one night and left due the the wait and complaints!!
- emilybI96DD (10/5): great hotel and staff. - after reading the previous reviews i was in two minds if i was going to book here but so glad i did. This was my second visit and both times have been amazing. Hotel is great, the staff are incredibly helpful and can’t do enough to help you. great location. can’t wait to come back again next month. Keep up the good work! xx
- ToonFan73 (10/5): Perfect overnight stay - Lovely stay, could not fault it, perfect sleep in a super comfy bed.
Everything perfect.
Superb breakfast in the morning, we will be back in December
- Trip47753148370 (10/5): Great stay - We stayed for two nights with our granddaughter. Service excellent as ever at Premier Inns. The service at the Beefeater was superb; staff welcoming and couldn’t too much to help. Daniel was especially helpful.
- I310RKpeterb (10/5): very pleasant visit - lovely comfy bed, good food, excellent staff, very helpful, both in reception and the bar & restaurant, a very pleasant experience .................................
- lainey12321 (10/5): Great - Great location, spacious rooms. Welcoming staff. Great service from Tracy! She's a real treasure. Clean and comfy. Good facilities.
- noelcC8635TI (8/5): Pleasant Stay - We got to the hotel on Sunday eventing for a 2 night stay Tracey was in reception and she was very pleasant and helpful
The room was clean the beds were very comfortable I had 2 good nights sleep
- richarddalley (8/5): Overnight stay - That was the issue there were virtually no staff present on my arrival at 4pm.
When I arrived The single staff member was dealing with a queue of people and two elderly couples were attempting to deal with the electronic process but failing miserably.
I logged in electronically and gained access to my room without speaking to anyone .
A truly awful experience but I suppose it cut costs and saved the company money .
I would not use this hotel again .
.
- Finley0T (8/5): Good Hotel - Good hotel with lots of room choices. Centrally located. With a restaurant and bar on the side. With a fast easy check in process.
- 484clym (10/5): Amazing - Very friendly staff very nice and clean stayed here 5 times now and we're be going back again soon kids love it very clean the staff are friendly and make U feel welcome
- MrsLesleyR-J (10/5): Great service - Excellent service by Brandon (duty manager), Chloe (front of house) on the evening of 17th September and the morning staff member Alex on 18th September.
All staff were a credit to Premier Inn by their professionalism and helpfulness.
Thank you.
- B2842ZQbillk (6/5): Poor check in - Always held up signing in with a multitude of questions .i hav e30 years serve now retired ans i am always made to feel as I’m trying to get a false discount
- C1915GFjoanr (10/5): Over and beyond - I was attending my mother's funeral and all the staff were excellent from the moment I arrived making me tea and letting me get ready to go to the chapel of rest even though it was hours before booking in time i was able to get ready and leave my bags
The also helped with getting me a plaster
I also got booked in early with no hassle
- richarddN7663DN (8/5): A good and very typical Premier Inn stay - All was up to the expected standard. We travelled by rail and the hotel is conveniently placed for Darlington rail station.
We would prefer to see a larger evening meal and snack menu, but there were plenty of places in the adjacent town centre.
- B5894TTalanp (10/5): Excellent hotel. - Extremely clean, well equipped, comfy room in a well positioned hotel close to the railway station.
Staff were very helpful and friendly and the cooked breakfast was delicious.
- Stella201333 (8/5): Would stay again - Stayed here for a Tournament taking place next door. Self checked in the first night, room was clean, a bit tired.
Needed to stay another day and booked online but the room took almost an hour to get ready when we went to check in. Seems a bit silly that your otherwise charged to check-in/out early or late but it's okay to be kept waiting if the room isn't ready after 3 p.m. Overall, great location.
- sp19702014 (10/5): One of the best Premier Inns - One of the best premier inns I’ve stayed at. Immaculately clean throughout. Very comfortable rooms and very friendly staff. Had the meal deal which was 2 course evening meal and breakfast which was very good value and tasty.
When we arrived we were greeted with a lovely lady Abi on reception who was very friendly and helpful. The other girl who I cannot remember the name of (young, long ginger hair) was also so helpful and friendly
- SRC105 (4/5): Terrible disturbed sleep - Woken up on three separate occasions between 2am and 3am by false fire alarms (as confirmed by the hotel staff the following morning). I struggled to get back to sleep after the third disturbance.
The Premier Inn lady was very apologetic at check-out and she advised that the disturbances had been logged at the hotel then gave me a Premier Inn card to scan and advised me how to claim a refund under the Premier Inn Good Night Guarantee by posting a review on either TripAdvisor or Google.
So, I now wait to see if the Premier Inn Good Night Guarantee is as good as they make out.
Shame as the disturbances of my sleep spoilt what was otherwise a good stay with excellent helpful staff.
- peekaboo123uk (4/5): Never use this one again - Pillow case with holes,in seen better days sheet had bobbles on.no clean towels 2 day, stay bins not empty when I asked why I was shown to a poster that said I need to tell reception, there was no
One on reception when I went out at 7 am
Hot water in bathroom couldn’t be adjusted to make it warm, be careful scolding room 109 parking £10 per 24 hours
Breakfast good. Staff do not want to engage with anyone
- 610janeo (10/5): Premier Inn is a family win - All my rather large family stayed. Our rooms were together and the staff were brilliant. I have a lot of kids and they were great with them. Breakie was fab, something for everyone especially for my picky eaters. WIFI isn't the best but everything else was fab.
- YoungDude1999 (2/5): Inflexible attitude - I have really had it with Premier Inn and as a brand gave them one more chance and they let me down
The are totally inflexible at this motel with check in time and place was empty, want £15 extra to check in 90 mins early which I declined and sat in reception
- davidlO1140BB (10/5): Stars are staff of a wondrous hotel - This must be one of best Premier Inns.
It is bright and clean with outstanding staff. Room was splendid. Parking next to hotel is so handy. You have to pay yourself as not part of hotel but physically attached. Ring go app is handy but cash or card can be used. I booked max 24 hours and used app to extend this as necessary.
Food was good and well served. In factor Ali and Alex or served us were superb. They are the stars of this hotel. Can’t praise and thank you enough. Tips on making a visit to York were much appreciated. The chefs do well too.
The buses and shops plus Vue cinema are close as is a bar/pub. 5 mins up the hill is a rail station with frequent trains to York, Durham and Newcastle plus other places too. Auckland Castle at Bishop Auckland is worth a visit. By car lots to see.
So thank you Darlington Premier Inn.
- TheBaronOne (10/5): Nice stay - Make your own review on breakfast! - As usual, friendly helpful staff, nice clean room, comfortable bed. The only bit of a gripe, which applies across the board in all PremInns, is the breakfast choice. £10:99 for full breakfast is reasonable value, £8.99 for continental okay ish, but why isn't there a 3rd option for just toast at circa £3/4:99? I, like many, don't want a big breakfast, just sufficient to take my tablets ;))
- melissab191 (4/5): Chemical smell - Stayed for 1 night as a single traveller.
Parking conveniently attached to the hotel but privately run and no discount for hotel guests.
Initially I was happy with the room. I was put in an accessibility room although I didn’t need it. The room had a very old “chemical” smell which as the night went on, seemed to get worse. I felt sick during the night and the next day had an awful head ache. My clothing even the next evening smelt of the chemical. To add to this there was a humming sound all night which did not go away. It almost sounded like an air conditioning unit which would turn off. The bed was comfortable but in terms of size not long enough. I am only 5 foot 6 but found the bed too short.
Sadly I won’t be retuning based on my experience.
