Guest Reviews
- marethat2021 (6/5): IMAnnoyeddotcom - Room was reasonably clean. However "guest supplies" room has no milk yesterday nor today. Breakfast was ok yesterday, however bacon was undercooked. Todat the fresh fruit was gone more than half hour before service was done. Also the maintenance team was using their walkytalkies on top volume in the breakfast area while making their coffees.. with guests still having breakfast. We stay at Premier Inn several times a year bit it jeeps gping downhill in recent years. Britain you'll have to do better at hospitality if you want to compete in the EU market!!
- Odyssey37180054003 (10/5): Three points at Harrogate. - Mansfield Premier Inn is close to J28 of the M1 and makes it convenient when travelling north. The inn is clean, efficient with helpful staff. Room was clean with everything you need for an overnight stay. Restaurant next door is good with a wide ranging menu. Staff were helpful and polite in both buildings.
- Michael (6/5): - It’s great value for putting your head down for a night. Not a place you’d stay for anything else.
- FamilyTravelsX4 (10/5): Family Getaway - We stayed here for 1 night (Sunday night) after a Etihad stadium tour and the night before a trip to UK Lapland as a family.
We chose this hotel due to location, it was close to the stadium, walking distance to the Xmas markets and around an hour from UK Lapland.
Check in:
We parked the car in the car park opposite (very limited space) and walked to the hotel, checked in via the machine nice and easy
Rooms:
Clean and tidy with all that’s needed. We were overlooking the canal so could hear that during the night but other than that the hotel was silent
Drinks:
Very expensive but a nice area to sit and chill.
Xmas markets: were met with the first lot of markets within a 5 minute walk - perfect location
Will be staying here again!! 10/10 for stay.
UK Lapland was just under an hour journey - we left at 0830 and caught all the morning traffic.
- meganfM3322MH (4/5): Not the usual standard we’re used to for premier inns…. - Me and my mum stayed at this hotel last night and have been beyond disappointed. We use Premier Inns across the country frequently for concert purposes and we’ve stayed in this exact hotel before now and never came across any issues. But to say I paid £280 for just a singular night is extortionate considering the experience we had. To start off with, we checked in (after being ushered to a self scan check in point, despite saying I wanted to check in with a person at the check in desk). Went up to our room to find the sofa bed hadn’t been made up. When booking, it stated we had a family room and upon checking in, the machine gave us room number 306 which is a triple room…so we expected the bed to be made up. House keeping sorted that promptly…no problem.
More issues came later on when going down for food, around 5pm. We waited to be seated and I overheard a customer at the bar ordering something with lemonade…the bar lady explained they had none due to the restaurant running out of gas so everything was bottled. With this in mind, when ordering our drinks I asked if they had lemonade to which I was told the same thing, fine. I asked what the alternatives were and the waitress had no idea…there was no drinks menu on the table either for me to refer to so I had to solely rely on her knowledge. To order a simple drink was like getting blood out of a stone. You’d expect a waitress to be able to give a customer some sort of idea as to what other soft drinks are available. We ordered food which we waited at least 20-30 minutes for…and the restaurant wasn’t busy at all. Upon finishing our meals our dirty plates sat on our table for a good 10-15 minutes, the same waitress seemed to of disappeared and no one else was around to make themselves available. Food was lovely but not sure if staff need better customer service training. We needed to pay the bill so ended up doing it at the bar instead as we had the gig to get ready to go to…
The final issue came the following morning with breakfast and checking out. Went down for breakfast and it was the same waitress on shift. We waited to speak to her about our breakfasts being booked, she took our room number and surname, skimmed the sheets of paper and couldn’t seem to find it. I looked over at the piece of paper and saw our booking straight away. She then told us to seat ourselves and help ourselves to breakfast…which is fair enough but most hotels we’ve been to ask us if we’ve been before and explain where everything is from hot food to the drinks station. Her attitude just seemed very much like she couldn’t be bothered. The final issue came when checking out. We wanted to leave our bags in the luggage room whilst we went over to some shops in the city. They were more than happy to do this but retrieving our suitcases once we came back for them was a headache…we would’ve been better off taking them with us. They found my mum’s suitcase no problem, but they couldn’t seem to find mine. Like anyone would, I started to panic slightly. The room was a tiny box room with MANY suitcases/bags, in which mine was no where near my mums and shoved right at the back behind so many other people’s…you would’ve thought both bags would be stored together once they’ve been handed in together…
I’m not usually one to go on and on and be so negative with reviews but paying £280 for one night is expensive in itself…let alone not receiving the standard of customer care we are usually use to from premier inns…
- CarolFry48 (10/5): Recommended. - With Premier Inns you always get good service, good breakfasts, well furnished bedrooms and spotless bathrooms. Recommended.
- helenkL7110EP (10/5): Great location - Great location close to Piccadilly Station
Alternative stop over pre flight
Would definitely stay again, 20 mins on train to airport
- Gunnerbean (8/5): Breakfast - Stopped in for breakfast on a busy Sunday morning. Breakfast normally very good, but as it was so busy, slight dip in usual standards so wil call it overall good. Staff all very friendly, and well served by Lena. Will return.
- helensU6172QT (10/5): Great experience - Nice room clean and tidy
Lovely staff (Lena) was very helpful
Highly recommend
Would stay again for business or pleasure.
- darylg409 (10/5): Mandy is brilliant - Stayed here for work no complaints about the hotel at all but the only reason for my review is Mandy the receptionist she was brilliant. She was on her own at the desk with multiple guests checking in and asking questions she attended to everyone with a smile nothing was too much trouble , she's truly a credit to the hotel. Thanks Mandy and I'll definitely be using your hotel again.
- F8584RDdebbieg (8/5): No hot water coming from shower/bath - The Bed was comfortable, had a good nights sleep. The room was clean, perfect family room. The only downfall was no hot water coming out of the shower/bath. Room 215.
- markrD6304QT (6/5): Bad ged good breakfast - Good location next to motorway. Warm welcome. Good breakfast with descent sausages and plenty of choice. Usually premier inn beds are very comfortable and big. This one was uncomfortable and just a regular double so didn't sleep well.
- Atush_Rohan (10/5): Centrally located and well connected - Excellent hotel and staff. Breakfast was always warm and staff took care of the extra requests with ease. I would recommend this hotel and will come back to stay again.
- Camper657969 (10/5): Comfortable room - Lovely clean comfortable room ,,, friendly staff,, first class breakfast,,,excellent location 5 minutes from train station
- ramonvL4891QN (10/5): Understanding - Great service and staff. Thx to the lady with the big wide weddingring.
She was soo kind and made us feel welcome. Hope we meet again
- Freedom31778670149 (8/5): NIce room and service - Nice hotel with a good service. Room was clean and warm. We received good service and had great sleep on comfy beds. We couldn't ask for more, it was lovely.
- susanaT690NX (10/5): Birthday weekend away. - It was a great stay from start to finish. Im not very technical and Oshane was there straight away to help us. In the evening while having our meal again Oshane couldn't do enough to help us and was so friendly. Again the second evening Oshane served us for the evening and nothing was to much trouble. Will definitely be back to stay at this premier inn again.
- O9783OGclarem (10/5): Birthday weekend away - Had a great night's stay , staff were very friendly and the rooms lovelyand clean. Also the manager Oshane who served us food and drinks was especially helpful and couldn't do enough for you. He made the stay enjoyable and fun I a lovely surroundings and decor.
- Z6412SPstevend (8/5): Enjoyed - As me and my wife are retired we tend to travel around a lot !
My stay was fab
We chose to dine out as weather was particularly decent but there food menu was eye catching
Service is brilliant from all members of the team
We will return back for our christmas market shenanigans!!
- sianc419 (10/5): Amazing - Amazing atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, hotel room was clean and lovely decor! The bed was super comfy! Definitely be rebooking for next trip!
- H5073CCyasmink (10/5): Great time - Great experience Chloe was great very friendly at the bar very helpful staff a great stay at the premier inn great staff highly recommend
- ThompsonWales (4/5): Disappointed - Room was generally grubby/ walls marked and chipped. Big stain (in the wrong place) on the main chair.
Shower tray was grubby too and body wash ran out after two showers. Expensive stay for what was VERY budget experience. On a positive, the location is excellent and we enjoyed our evening meal.
- Stefano (6/5): - Odore di muffa nei corridoi, la pulizia della camera va richiesta.
Personale alla reception molto disponibile e cortese.
- Lindyann2013 (8/5): 1 night - Stayed here whilst attending an event at Manchester Co op arena.
No onsite parking, parking on car park opposite is £20 for 24 hours.
Checked in late at night after our event but staff were efficient.
Breakfast was usual offerings, bit chaotic as it was busy.
- hubertmckay60 (10/5): A relaxing break - Premier Inns generally ensures that a certain standard of quality is maintained and good quality beds are provided. Direct access to the adjacent restaurant was a bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times during our short stay.
- K4070HAlauran (10/5): Excellent staff - Courtney from the restaurant was such a lovely well mannered helpful member of staff, she was the only member of staff to make us aware of the kids menu at night, which suited my daughter better than the adults menu.
- emmad671 (10/5): Fab stay in Mansfield - Another lovely stay in Mansfield Premier Inn! Room was really clean, spacious and comfortable. I had such a good night's sleep.
- brianwE9259DF (10/5): A real experience of staying at the Premier Inn Piccadilly manchester - The hotel was spotless throughout,
Quality and presentation of the food was very good indeed, no complaints whatsoever and reasonable priced.
A very good selection of drinks at the bar, spirits of liqueure's to cider, lager and beers not to forget soft and non-alcoholic drinks.
The staff were always friendly and on hand for any answering any queries or questions that were asked.
The staff are a credit to Premier Inn.
I'm already planning and looking forward to staying here again very soon.
- Wander58204389626 (10/5): Lily, a credit to your business - Stay was perfect mainly thanks to the friendly and helpful staff member Lily. Really nice to see a smiley chatty face after a long day at work and really helpful with any questions and requirements
- 678nealp (10/5): Great staff very helpful - Stayed at this hotel yesterday while attending a funeral . Checked in late after the funeral and wake. Mandy who was working on the reception was extremely helpful with checking in and showing me to my room .
- Y2819SCstephenf (10/5): Mandy - Mandy n reception was very helpfull and couldn't do enough to help!! When I needed a phone charger. All the staff are very good also
- F5326LClewisf (2/5): I received a parking charge - Thanks - I recently received a parking charge for my stay, after an employee failed to mention that I may need to register my car reg at their ‘free car park’.
When I walked into the reception I was immediately greeted by a member of staff who diligently taught me how to self check-in, informed me of the facilities and probably the constellation of the night sky, but not anything about the parking.
How do you even fail to mention something like that? At your hotel adjacent to a motorway? It’s honestly incredible. It was late at night too, so it’s not like I was the first person they spoke to that day.
My charge came in the post one week later.
Completely unacceptable, but here we are. Thanks for the lovely stay
- katherinebY5399NL (4/5): 2 stars… - The experience I had here in the room I stayed in unfortunately was awful. As soon as I opened the door there was this horrid smell, followed by the bathroom really smelly, I guess it was coming up from the drains. The shower was terrible too, no pressure whatsoever so ever. A cheap shower head. The room was dark and unwelcoming and couldn’t open the window. Unfortunately won’t be staying here again. Not clean and not tidy, can tell it’s old.
- V2554BZryanj (10/5): Premier inn - I stayed here for a couple weeks now and Lilly at the front desk has been the most helpful and kind the whole stay! Even done my washing 😝
- U1487BIpauli (10/5): Excellent warm welcome - Wonderful welcome and extremely helpful. I was dealt with by Mandy who was above friendly and ensured smooth process of getting my room ready in time.
- tylereK4930LR (10/5): Amazing experience - Lady at the desk was lovely and able to help us whilst being polite. She has a great sense of humour and was able to direct us to our room
- 972hilarys (10/5): Sam, An absolute diamond! - This lady deserves a 5 star rating of her very own! I am referring to Sam in the Restaurant, she was an absolute diamond at our recent stay, on Sunday 10 August, and the following morning at breakfast. The reason being she went above and beyond helping my husband and our family party. My husband has had mouth cancer diagnosed earlier this year and has very recently finished Radiotherapy, hence still very limited in his food options, generally soft foods. However, he was able to partake in a veggie option on the Sunday carvery, all thanks to Sam and the fantastic team. Would also like to thank Kelsey for her help and support as well. We were able to celebrate our 50th Golden Wedding Anniversary with our family in a low key celebration. Apologies for the delay in the feedback as we were going on holiday to Filey the following day, and the 5G coverage etc was very poor in that area.
- Imanhonestreviewer (8/5): Hotel good shame about brewers fayre - 2nd time staying here.
It's a good hotel. Rooms are clean. Good blackout curtains. Nice n quiet.
Only let downs with our room which was room 50 was it was so hot. Fan was provided but difficult to sleep with a fan whizzing all night. Also the WiFi was very hit and miss.
OK now for brewers fayre.
I don't recommend eating here. Portion sizes are more suited to kids.
I had the katsu chicken curry one evening and I'm still looking for the curry sauce. Literally a teaspoon of curry sauce on my meal which made for a very dry meal.
Luckily we were told by someone else staying there to try the snipe which is a hungry horse about a 5 minute drive. Which we did the following evening. Much much better. A bigger better menu. Better prices better food. And proper adult sized portions.
Still enjoyed our stay at the Premier Inn but if we stay In the future we will be eating elsewhere.
- XceriXc (10/5): Great hotel, good food amazing staff - We were originally placed in a quad room (double and 2 singles) but due to a plumbing issue we had to be moved. The only available room was a triple however a cot was provided for our toddler. The rooms were clean, spacious and well equipped with tea/coffee facilities, tv and hairdrier. The breakfast was good (buffet) however there was a lack of dairy free options for milk alternatives and no yogurts etc for those with allergies. What really made our stay was Mandy the receptionist. She was the most pleasant, accomodating, kind and funny woman. She made our stay feel like a home from home.
- michaellI3243NC (4/5): Worse than before - Unfortunately Premier are following the trend and removing staff in favour of automation. This lack of any staff at reception has only served to lower the service recieved by Premier. Such a shame that every hotel chain seem to place salary savings over service provided.
- family-from-Scotland (10/5): Family stop over just off the M1 junction 28 - Great stop over on the way up north following a visit to Hucknall. Stayed at premier inn and dinned in Brewers Fayre pub. Fantastic staff who were friendly and offered advice and guidance to make the stay very family friendly. Our room 141 was large, quiet and comfortable. The food was filling and good value. The soft play area was also fun for young children.
- Anotherfiveyears (10/5): - Went to my granddaughter 's wedding and this was the closest hotel to the venue, was pleasantly surprised by Premier as I usually stay with a rival company, excellent hotel.
