Guest Reviews
- KenH302 (8/5): Good Location - Central located hotel , with free parking in Multi-storey next door ,reception need to stamp your car park ticket to exit.
Room clean and tidy ,with Kettle , tea/coffee etc you can pick up more from reception
Was at back at Hotel so no road noise,
Easy to walk into town , which has good bus links to local area and Train station to london and further afield .
- Fred267 (10/5): One night stay - Very good hotel room clean and tidy. Restaurant for evening meal was very tasty and prompt. Staff very good and hard working and pleasant and polite. Overall a very good stay. Would recommend, also close to town centre shops which was a few minutes away.
- Z2799SRjulief (10/5): Overall very good value for money! - Hotel & NCP car park next door was easy to find. Car park was included in the price. Room was nice & clean, bed comfy, had all amenities- TV, wifi, kettle, hairdryer. Bathroom was a bit worn. Overall very good value for money.
- davidevans1954 (4/5): Bit grim, disappointing. - My first stay in a Premier Inn. Disappointed. Second rate, basic hotel, crying out for better care and maintainence, and attention to detail. The bed was fine, but the room was small and with a very small window, it felt claustrophobic. Bathroom was too basic.. Not even a toilet brush or facial tissues. Water pressure was so low that flushing the toilet required several flushes, standing there for 5 minutes. Reading light broken, had to ask reception to turn on the A/C from a control in the lobby, though the A/C was good . One of the only two lifts not working continously on both days of our stay. Entrance marred by being dirty with cigarette ends and litter left uncleaned for all of the stay. Would choose another hotel if I were to visit Luton again.
- K1532GNandreir (10/5): Mr - Lovely environment, friendly staff, warm atmosphere — a place that makes you feel genuinely welcomed and relaxed. Thanks!
- karenhobba (10/5): Friendly happy staff - Booked Family in here from Germany , room clean breakfast good. But the staff were really caring and friendly. Family member is disabled and they went over the top for her
- Sedge01 (10/5): Excellent Stay with Amazing staff - What a brilliant trip / stay as always! Bronwyn & Hannah are always great from the minute you walk in the door to the moment you leave, these guys are a credit to premier inn I often stay in this chain for work commitments all over the country but actually really like coming to Luton for this one and actually drive by another hotel of the same chain to stay here as the atmosphere is always first class, warm and welcoming great fun making it a pleasure to stay if it’s for one night or more you will never fail to have have laugh and a great stay!
- I7637GOcarlw (10/5): Welcome with a smile. - Great restaurant service from Bronwyn & Hannah. Made my visit very welcoming.
They were both helpful when checking in and sorting parking.
Bar and restaurant service was with a smile. Nice girls.
- Malin (10/5): - Trevligt rum
- janisb668 (10/5): Good breakfest. - Hot breakfast on weekdays was prepared by ordering what and how much you want to eat. You can pay in the morning before eating.
- Y6165EAryanw (2/5): Worst stay ever ! - We stayed here before we went on holiday and when we arrived the room was unbleavable ive never seen such a dirty filthy room the pillows were solid hard and were also stained i hardly slept because of all this and still feel violated now that we had to sleep in this room we have contacted premier inn and have been told theres not much they can do but give us £25 pounds as a good will gesture thats a complete joke ! It was such a difficult experience trying to get help from them online and was told they wouldnt put me in touch witb head office as this person i was talking to Aliyah the Anna. Then Nick then aliyah again we went round in circles for the out come to be told to suck it up and move on ive kept all photos of the filthy room and the conversations and will be posting them here and other places across social media im extremely upset with how weve been treated we have been the most loyal customers for years and year also telling family and friends to stay there and this is how weve been treated im disgusted please anyone thats staying at premier inn check the room check pillows beds floors furniture before u sit or sleep on anything its quite clear that some of the stains was urine and seman and I sat on that chair without realising at first 🤮 I felt physically sick and had to throw away the trousers I was wareing they have now lost 2 very loyal customers for good !
- 379chrise (8/5): Tired room . Hard working staff and lovely breakfast. - The room that I was allocated on this occasion was a little tired . Paint peeling off the ceiling. Mould around the edge of the shower . The issue is not the cleaning it's the need for refurbishment.
However the staff are very attentive and work hard to please.
A quick thank you to staff at front of house and the lovely lady who cooks the breakfasts, top job.
- 278JohnH278 (8/5): Usual Premier Inn standards - A comfortable, functional hotel that's quiet, friendly and with all the usual Premier Inn features. Good value as well out of season.
- 914roxannem (8/5): Comfortable stay - Hotel was easy to find, we had a warm welcome. We checked in fine using the check-in machine. Key card wouldn't let us into our room but the staff sorted the issue quickly. Was a comfortable stay and I would book in there again.
- 108afsanap (10/5): It was really good 👍 - I recently stayed at Premier Inn Luton and had a wonderful experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I’d especially like to thank Afrina, the Duty Manager, who was extremely helpful and kind throughout my stay. She made sure everything went smoothly and made me feel truly welcome. I really appreciate her excellent service and hospitality. Highly recommended!
- 150bogdanr (10/5): Amazing Afrina, Mandy - Loved their pizza , so good. Staff really nice. Chef mandy and afrina taken care of me ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
- 400tanasag (10/5): Great hotel - Really enjoyed staying there. Girls does amazing job.specially Afrina and Kelsey too good at their job. Definitely staying there again .
- Nickylamb (10/5): Great hotel and lovely staff! - Great hotel! It was lovely and clean with really welcoming staff who always had a smile and a kind word. If ever in Macclesfield again, we'd stay there!
- dawnsV2091FC (2/5): A total disgrace of an establishment! - We stayed at Premier Inn on Thursday 30th of October over night and I inadvertently left a full bag of toiletries on the dressing table in the bedroom.
As soon as I got home the following day I rang and just kept being cut off after a certain amount of time with a message about staff are helping other customers.
I managed to get through on Saturday afternoon and was shown a very wishy washy response by the staff member. Today I received a call to be told the policy if toiletries are left is to “bin them” So I have lost well over £20 of toiletries and am totally disgusted with their policy.
No one has the right to throw away property that does not belong to them, it is in fact THEFT!
Appalling!
- MaryKay55 (10/5): Lovely Stay - Lovely small hotel. Not too over crowded. Rooms are basic but very clean.
Very friendly staff who are really helpful with the local area.
- jamesoW2720HO (10/5): Top class - Manda and Hannah delivered outstanding customer service, were extremely helpful and friendly. Would stay here again because of the great service received.
- W4473PLjasonf (10/5): Amazing customer service - Manda and Hannah were both amazing. They were very helpful, friendly and customer service was exceptional. Would stay here again because of the excellent service
- sarahevansse (10/5): A town centre location near the train station - A great hotel, very reasonably priced. Near to the shops. Our room had a curved modern corner bath which was great. Quiet 24/7. Plenty of tea/coffee and milk/sugar available near reception.
- B9245CHrichardp (8/5): As above - I'll start from the whole experience in Luton.
Really bad customer service in Weather spoons and Steak out restaurant locally and really poor people.
This however at the town centre Premier inn has been such different experience.
Rooms are clean and tidy, the staff here are wonderful, Bronwyn and Kelsie have been attentive, friendly and nothing has been too much trouble.
Look after these girls, they make the experience of staying here very pleasant and satisfying.
- Joyfulwanderers123 (10/5): Excellent staff - Great staff and we'll kept room.
We've stayed here a number of times and always been well looked after and leave very happy with the experience.
- I9794QPclairem (10/5): Great night's sleep. Lovely staff - I have stayed a few times for work in area. Always a comfortable stay and good meal in pub next door. My reason for feedback is the great support from reception and I would like to call out Christopher. He is a fantastic representative of Premier Inn. His care for guests and making sure they are comfortable really stands out. I hope this feedback is seen by him. When away for work, it's simple like a smiley face, that makes it a more relaxing stay. Thank you Christopher!
- Lyons900 (10/5): Another nice stay - We have stayed here several times being handy for Congleton and very good value, and you know what you get with a Prem Inn, love it that it is so quiet here in it's surroundings, parking is plenty and free. Chris welcomed us, he is the most informative staff person I have met in any Prem Inn nationally. I understand he is moving areas and will be at another Prem Inn, we wish him all the best, he is a credit to the company. Tried the adjoining pub for the first time, had a very relaxing few drinks, free pool up to 9pm, must try out next time!
- martin442bearsted (10/5): Another great stay - We often regularly travel back to Maidstone to visit family and friends. And this has now become our preferred place to stay.
The staff are always so friendly and welcoming, there was a very nice chap on reception all weekend and the manager is lovely. Also Carol in the adjoining Beefeater is wonderful.
The room was very clean , comfy bed and hotel, although busy, was very quiet.
The breakfasts were good , especially on the Saturday, our only criticism would be that Sundays was very slow service , but we could see that the staff were very busy indeed.
Overall a very good stay and we will be back soon , thank you.
- Paradise29815711834 (10/5): Great choice of destination - Visiting family and surrounding area, chose Macclesfield as central to our trip. Great welcome from Christopher (wry sense of humour!). All staff extremely friendly and helpful. A credit to the manager. The attached pub where breakfast was provided was equally welcoming, especially Charlie who organised things. Evening meal on our first night was brilliant.
Well done Macclesfield
- A5535SHjamesb (10/5): Calm and relaxing - This was my first time here and I got to say what a lovely place, nice calm feel in a beautiful area. The bed was super comfortable which made me feel ready for the tasks ahead. But the real gems were the staff, Thank you so much for the services you provided. A lady called Carol made my last evening the best, she made me feel like I didn't have a worry in the world with how she took care of us. Breakfast served by Katie was fantastic and still continued to keep the calm relaxing presence and standard from the night before. Huge Thank you if I get the chance to come back I will. Definitely worth a visit.
- Caz06 (8/5): Comfortable and welcoming - Regularly stay at Premier Inn South West, and weren't disappointed.
Always comfortable and peaceful with courteous and helpful staff there on reception - a thank you to Christopher and Laura. We will be pleased to return.
The adjoining pub/restaurant (the Rising Sun) was surprisingly quiet, but we ate there and the food was good and well priced with friendly staff, and our grateful thanks for the surprise birthday treat.
- maglil55 (10/5): Excellent location - Stayed for 2 nights. Premier Inn is located about 10 mins south of Macclesfield. Staff are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. We had a ground floor double, with a walk in shower. The rooms are spacious and clean. Tea/coffee making equipment is provided. You can get water, biscuits etc from reception in exchange for a donation to GOSH.
There is a phone in reception for taxis but Ubers are also available. Macclesfield is quite a busy place. Plenty shops, and there was a festival on while we were there.
Breakfast is next door in the Rising Sun (A Greenking establishment). You can get to the Premier Inn through the Rising Sun (much quicker than walking all the way round if you are not travelling by car). Breakfast had a reasonable choice, but was a bit lacking in continental options, such as cold meats/cheeses. Gluten free is catered for. Staff are pleasant and friendly, and the do work hard. Nice to get a breakfast cooked to order rather than a buffet.
It was a pleasant stay in a handy location.
- L871GFlucyb (10/5): Friendliest hotel - This has to be without a doubt the friendliest premier inn ever!
The staff are wonderful, the reception staff, waitress and cleaning staff.
We spent four days in the hotel and were always greeted by happy and smiling faces.
The room was clean and tidy, spacious and quite.
My only slight negative was that was very warm even with fan but there were four of us in one room !
Highly recommend this hotel!
- LunchtimeAtSantoros (10/5): Great Welcome - Thanks to CHRISTOPHER for being very informative when we arrived & very helpful as well as willing to help …………………………..
- IansTravels22 (10/5): Great hotel, want to come back - I was there for a family Funeral. I didn't catch the names of the staff at the reception but they were great and helpful also polite.
I've stayed at a few Premier inn's in the last couple of years and the rooms are up to standard although didn't get to try a plus room (if they have them in this one)
Only problem I didn't like were towels feeling slight rough not smooth (personal Preference)
Would definitely come back again
- sarahhJ476QZ (8/5): Good hotel handy for Macclesfield - We had a night here before attending a family funeral.
The hotel is on the road into Macclesfield next to a pub (The Rising Sun). There is another pub (The Flowerpot) further down the road on the way into town.
The room was up to usual Premier Inn standard. We took the bus into Macclesfield (bus stop outside hotel and helpful receptionist gave us a timetable) to have a look around. We ate at the Rising Sun in the evening and took breakfast there but there was no 'meal deal' option.
- michaelcT5562ED (4/5): Hygiene needs improving and staff need to be more aware of door signs - Room was very poor hygiene i could write my name in the amount of dust on the top of wardrobe. Tv and pictures also had thick dust on the tops enough to know they had not been wiped clean for more than just a few days. No air conditioning so a fan provided which when used would just blow the dust around the room aswel as the hot air. Dispite hanging the sign on the door that states sleeping do not disturb a member of staff still opened our door to the shock that it was actually occupied.
- Sunshine460080 (10/5): Fabulous hotel - The staff are extremely welcoming&professional, the service is excellent, the beds are comfortable, the rooms&bathroom clean, the hôtel is quiet, the pub is great with a large variety of breakfast foods that carter for every diet.
- AmandaK350 (10/5): Helpful friendly service - Excellent service from Christopher , Who looked after our group of 7 perfectly, Especially at Breakfast time.
Christopher was also very helpful with local knowledge.
Rooms were extremely clean thanks to Lauren,
Doris and Sharon.
Thank you to all the team at Macclesfield South
- NottinghamRed (10/5): - We stayed here one night prior to getting the ferry from Dover. I would definitely recommend this place to stay - lovely friendly reception staff. We had a lovely dinner in the evening - salmon was excellent with gorgeous roasted vegetables. We had the breakfast next day which was also very good. We will definitely stay again.
- F3120PCadamr (10/5): Friendly Service - Christopher at reception very friendly and welcoming when checking in, even with a computer issue sorted everything quickly.
- laupf67 (4/5): If you like the 90's you will love this place! - Welcome to the 90's! The hotel does not have any air con and the rooms on the top floor heat up dramatically in the summer. They give you a floor standing fan to try to keep the room cool! The fan we had span and made a load of noise with very little output! Our room got up to 28 degrees in the night with windows open and the fan running on full blast! There is no way to contact reception from the room! I had to walk down to reception to ask for another fan and then carry the large floor mounted fan up two flights of stairs!
- Waterloo5281 (8/5): - I have stayed at this hotel many times. The hotel staff are wonderful and friendly .The pub next door can be good and can be poor it depends . The rooms in the hotel are spotless.
- J1285HBjamiec (10/5): Brilliant - Debbie and Christopher were absolutely amazing hosts as per usual so helpful in every single way I have been here on and off working away for the past 2 years and the staff are very welcoming absolutely outstanding customer service all round great atmosphere and a pleasure to stay here once again
- 747bruced (10/5): Excellent hotel and staff - Could not fault anything. We arrived in the middle of the heatwave. The staff member who was cleaning other rooms came to ask us if we would just like a sheet which she got for us. She also went and got us some cold water. A real star.
The room was clean and one of the quitest hotels we have stayed in, nothing was too much trouble for the staff
- rickhL1854UV (10/5): An overall pleasant experience. - Had a lovely night at Premier Inn Allington. Reception staff friendly. Room was great (room 6) but to be honest, the shower was awful. Bar staff were very pleasant and the food was lovely (Pork ribs and chips). Would definitely stay again.
- Y6675MKrichardl (10/5): Always a friendly welcome! - We've stayed here a number of times now and on the whole we are always satisfied. Staff are always friendly and attentive, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is well organised. What more do you need?
- mostynw2020 (4/5): Worst experience ever at a Premier Inn stay. Although most of issues came from The Beefeater attached. - The Premier Inn was generally ok, except their failure to check our requirements, one question it seems, ie we booked 2 rooms for 4 adults and 2 children paying for our breakfasts as well as accomodation.
We also had dinner in the Beefeater, waitress took our drinks order and brought 4 pints and 2 halves of coke max to our table, spilt all of it, mainly over my daughter! We know accidents happen but there was no effort to reseat us even though there were options available, in the end we got up and moved ourselves, we asked for replacement drinks 3 times and in the end my daughter went to the bar herself to ask for them. We ordered our food and when it came 3 of the 6 plates had incorrect items, that was sorted quite quickly. But by this time it was late, none of us wanted any dessert, even the children.
At breakfast we presented ourselves and were greeted with a very brisque "have you booked" to which I confidently said yes and we've paid for it, "well you haven't booked" you're not on the list, which is where the question I mentioned at the beginning of the review came in, did the receptionist ask you if you wanted to book a table, I to which I responded surely the fact we paid for it in advance would answer that! By which point I must admit I was getting a bit annoyed, she flung a dismissive hand at the empty table for 8 behind us and said you'll have to sit there until we can sort you out. We sat and waited nearly 35 minutes before anyone spoke to us again (except to say we're very busy with people who've booked their tables).
When we ordered our breakfast it came about 25 minutes later only 1 of our 6 plates had the
right items we'd ordered, the waitress brought a bowl of extras ie sausages bacon tomatoes hash browns, no apology and said there you go pick what's missing out of that! Utter shambles and I speak as someone who's stayed at Premier Inns hundreds of times with rarely an issue.
- ilove1981 (8/5): Nice hotel, lack of aircon in summer is a problem though. - Nice hotel. Friendly staff and a perfect location for us for visiting daughter at Uni. Unfortunately we were there on the hottest weekend of the year and with no aircon and a window that barely opens, we almost roasted alive in there. We did know there was no aircon so just unfortunate timing but it’s not something we’ll do again in the summer months. Lesson learned.
- YorkshireOwl66 (4/5): Things are getting bad in the Premier inn world - 1st of all thank the hotel for giving me a room I requested. Reception had a lad on that didn’t seem to know how the system worked and the lady that did know just wanted to go to clean the rooms. We checked in at 3 and by 8.20pm we had 3 fire alarms going off. We were in and out like Bonnie Blues mates. Luckily we had no more alarms but at 2am a family were letting their kids run about so Lenny Henry is wrong and you don’t get a decent nights sleep.
On to breakfast I would suggest you save your money and visit a local Wetherspoons.
- lindarO7719CD (10/5): Friendly and clean - Lovely hotel , with nice walks around the lake . Room was cool and had a nice new fan . Receptionist was helpful with getting us a taxi to party . Had breakfast was freshly cooked to order . Always stay here as sometimes a lone traveller feels safe and comfortable
- LightPacker70851 (10/5): Kind and helpful staff - The hotel was friendly and comfortable. It was a little shabby in places but that was more than made up for by the welcome that we received from the duty manager, Christopher.
We had a few logistical problems with our booking, but Christopher was incredibly helpful and sorted out a very tricky situation in a matter of minutes. He couldn’t have been more understanding and kind. Thank you Christopher so much.
- G3259UIhelenm (2/5): Inedible! - The service in the restaurant was exceedingly slow. The food was disgusting and embarrassingly bad. Over cooked freezer food. I will NEVER go back!
We had to wait so long and the restaurant wasn’t even busy. I had ribs and chips, the chips were hard, the bbq sauce was bought in and tasted really synthetic. I don’t really have anymore words to say quite how bad everyone’s food was!
- N6085KDsusanf (10/5): Friendly staff. - Always a cheerful greeting on arrival. Free Parking. The rooms are what you expect, spacious, clean and functional. Television, Wi Fi, Tea & coffee, little milk cartons with kettle in room, which you can replenish anytime. Beds are quite high off the ground but, fine for most people. On suite bathroom with shower is functional and clean. Duvet's are a bit thick, so can get a bit hot at night, great in the winter, not in the summer. No aircon, so can be uncomfortable in high summer. Also, no lift, so if mobility is an issue, would need to book a down stairs room. Breakfast is served in the Beef Eater next door. Good choice of cooked or continental available. Evening Meals and Bar in the Beef Eater. A great no frills, functional hotel. As with all Premier Inns, you know what to expect from your stay.
- 672richarddh (8/5): Great receptionist and quiet place to stay - The great welcome we received from Christopher the receptionist was both friendly and informative. The room was as expected, comfortable.
The meal arrangements were a let down but no fault of Premier Inns. This is because meals are served in the adjacent public house. The food was okay but the service, apart from one man, was poor.
- 278JohnH278 (8/5): Comfortable one nighter with Beefeater dinner - Comfortable, quiet and clean rooms perfect for a short stay. The dining experience with Beefeater has gone downhill. Food is ok, but nothing exceptional, and there is a long wait to be served in the evening. Breakfast is as ever copious and cooked to order in addition to the buffet items.
- paultR1653JL (10/5): Exceptional staff - Lovely hotel, it’s a premier you know what’s what. The staff are absolutely lovely and welcoming. I stay in premiers across the country, this one is a new favourite and the staff make it such.
Very easy to miss but an adequate car park, green-king pub next door with lovely staff as well and a great menu. Here again after the weekend and for once looking forward to it.
- 479keithk (10/5): All good - As usual the stay was pleasant, the breakfast was excellent, lots of choice.
As a quick stopover the location and parking are excellent, not far from the motorway and 40 minutes ago from the channel tunnel.
Nothing more to say as all went smoothly.
- michaelnF7058MQ (6/5): Family Wedding trip - Generally as expected from Premier Inn.
Breakfast not up to usual standard: lack of mugs and some breakfast items. Slow service for some items
Nice to be able to open window although a little noisy.
Good parking.
Would have been better with proper handrails on the stairs.
- markbG8097SC (10/5): Great value, exceptional service - The staff here couldn't be more helpful, nothing is too much trouble and they're always happy to chat.
Bella especially has been brilliant, checking on room cleanliness and if anything needs sorting out.
Really great stay, perfect for motorway access and rooms are quiet
- smitchesb (10/5): Mr Nana - A passionate team of talented pros who truly rock at what they do—consistently delivering exceptional, high-quality services, exceeding expectations, and going the extra mile to keep every client happy, impressed, and coming back for more!
