Guest Reviews
- L5550QRgaryb (4/5): 2 Star Premier Inn Hotel - Avoid room 100 unless you would like an early morning wakeup from the kitchen extractor fans and kitchen noise.
The hotel receptionist advised that the dining/rest area could not be used to wait for my check in (I was 30 mins early), so had to wait in my car!!
Plenty of parking shared with the pub next door.
Ok for an overnight stay but not any longer.
Not great value for money. Consider other hotels before booking.
- roberthN4245JO (10/5): Wonderful Stay at Premier Inn Birmingham South – Exceptional Service from Diana - Though this review is a bit belated, I wanted to share our fantastic experience at the Premier Inn Birmingham South from April 2025. The highlight of our visit was the amazing service from Diana during breakfast. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. On top of that, she went above and beyond by gifting my daughter some beautifully knitted bags from her friend, which was such a thoughtful touch. Even though some time has passed, we still remember the wonderful experience and highly recommend this location.
- 984andyp (10/5): Staff - On arrival, we went into the beefeater for evening meal and I couldn’t help overhearing the waitress talking to guests on the table behind me how she acted how she presented herself and how she gave options. It made my head turn. I thought oh my God quality staff
When she came to address me and my daughter it was the same very helpful giving us options and even offered us a 25% off our next meal her name was stef and she is a credit to your team and a figure head for others to learn from 😉
Moving on to breakfast Sandra was over run nearly bumped into her twice I said to her you need help she agreed and her order taking was good also because a lot of workers leave early I feel she needed back up but on the hole rooms are as usual spot on and the two meals where very nice good chefs made me 3 perfect pouched eggs runny with no snot and my Daugther’s 3 pouched eggs where spot on❤️
And I like the fax the it’s not a buffet and made to order cuts down on waist and is freshly prepared and not dried out under heat lamps
Look after your staff and they will look after the company 😉

- danieldJ7556WS (10/5): The best - Tracy,Julie and Dianne was so so lovely looked after us on our trip really really would comeback just for them xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
- Lucy2525 (8/5): Cosy and very friendly hotel - A nice hotel to stay at.
The beds are comfortable and ensure you get a good night's sleep.
The cooked breakfast is made to order and is of good quality. You pay extra for the breakfast but it is worth it.
- X5490QPrichardc (10/5): An enjoyable stay during Motorcycle Live weekend. - The room was spotless and well finished. The bed was comfortable and shower facilities good. The unlimited breakfast is a must. Really good value for money.
- Z1153PTmatty (10/5): Excellent family stay! 🤩 - 5 out of 5 as usual for this place! I’m a regular visitor to this hotel and Mia always makes sure we have a warm welcome! A+++++++
- LouiseG2316 (10/5): Brilliant stay - Stayed at this particular premier inn a few times , staff are always so friendly and helpful.Rooms are immaculately clean and comfortable. The breakfast is really good and the service is great .
Never been to a hotel with such fantastic staff.
- robertdX6776FE (10/5): Business trip - Absolutely brilliant Mia was so helpful and outstanding service I would definitely stay here again. The hotel was in a good location and it was also very clean
- 398nealeg (10/5): Business - my experience at Blackburn South is always made a wonderful stay because of Mia on reception always very helpful and can't do enough to help no matter what I would be lost without Mia absolutely amazing young lady and is a credit to this site
- michael546 (8/5): No Glasses in Room. - We had a comfortable stay in room 101 in Bispham, overall the room was comfortable. However, there wasn`t any glasses in the room and only 1 bedside table, when I went to reception to ask for glasses it was unattended so had to make do with using the mugs. Apart from that we had a nice stay and would recommend Premier Inn Bispham.
- Andron1965 (10/5): Great time, good memories checking out the lights - Great stay at Bispham. Room lovely and clean thoughout. Staff were amazing helpful and cheerful. If we needed anything the staff were very approachable. Also ate at the (Befeater) for breakfast and evening meal food was fresh and hot staff were amazing and you were made to feel valued good prices and good range of choice. Quite area also
- RichRose50 (10/5): Football away day - Great hotel ideal for the football. Clean, tidy, friendly staff. Bedroom modern with a reasonable shower.
Shame the bar shuts at 10pm even for residents seems very early for a Friday evening.
- 890LouiseS (10/5): The best welcome and check in that I've ever had! - Great hotel on so many points:
- location is off road, quiet and has a large car park.
- the check in from Steven was the best I've ever had, including some much more expensive hotels. Really friendly, booked us in for breakfast, talked through dinner options, including local restaurants nearby.
- rooms clean.
- breakfast is ordered, rather than buffet - so even fresher but still the delight of unlimited breakfast that you expect from Premier Inn.
Great value rooms and would definitely stay here again when in the area.
- O3764GRlilyt (10/5): Great stay - Brilliant stay Emily & the team really go above & beyond. Room was perfect for what we needed and restaurant was lovely for breakfast
- 845viviano (6/5): Requires refurbishing - Hotel requires refurbishing. On arrival, hall way carpet is stained and looks old/dirty. Room is cold. Heating not working. WiFi in the building is only 1 bar or not even loading. Had to pay 5 pounds to assess. Bathroom tub has too much old dark stains. Need refurbishing. Pillows are flat. Requested for extra chair as we were on a business meeting . This was declined. Staff were not friendly. No swimming pool nor gym. I will never go back to this hotel.
But there is a good car park.
- mattaW6664HW (10/5): 5 stars - Lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable. Special mention to Lady Di and Tracy at breakfast.
All in all a lovely stay
- F5787YRcatheriner (10/5): 5 Star Service & Facilities for a budget price - win win :-) - On arrival you need to go through the Toby Carvery car park to get round to the Premier Inn entrance - check it out on Google Maps before you arrive there in the dark! Plenty of parking once you realise you can park in front of Toby carvery too.
The staff at the Premier Inn could not have been more helpful and cheerful. All have worked there for years which says a lot about how the place is run. Steve met us on arrival, Diane and Marie helped us with breakfast service and all were brilliant.
The rooms had all been refurbished - lovely with great showers (walk-in). Love the bathrooms now. Room warm (easy to channge heating) with good blackout curtains. Beds both kingsize & single (sofa) were super comfy.
Breakfast was buffet style for continental and cooked to order for hot food - which arrived super hot - such a treat - am so used to everything buffet style and only luke warm elsewhere.
Cannot recommend this Premier Inn highly enough and will definitely stay there again if I'm in the area.
- O1577ASkimj (10/5): Staff amazing at this hotel. Guest services/head office a waste of time!!! - The hotel is amazing and staff are so friendly. They go above and beyond for you,
Guest services are absolutely shocking and they do nothing to help you tbh. We had about 5 calls with them before they listened and helped. Caused so much unnecessary stress.
They are not helpful, want you off the phone.
- gemmacU4547PW (10/5): Thank You!!! - We had the most wonderful breakfast this morning. The team are accommodating, kind and the food was perfect.
Thank you to Maria and Di for looking after us and to Millie! We will be back xxx
- gabr133 (8/5): We'll be back:) - Brilliant room size for a family. All dry and well stocked tea, coffee and towels. Breakfast was amazing!
Staff were lovely and so helpful on arrival. Will be staying there again.
The only downside was heating in room was broken and no spare quilts..!? Plug in heater was provided but had leg missing and was too hot to touch with a toddler in the room :/ Breakfast more than made up for it.
- Y5588GGlorrainec (6/5): Family trip - Nice quiet location, hotel and restaurant needs updating, great breakfast, staff in restaurant very attentive, room needed cleaning on arrival as not done when checked in and given room key
- Dudeless (4/5): Stay Here (if no other option, or skint) - Average (and that’s being kind).
Our ‘premier room’ was tiny. It felt old too. The TV, control, air on, furniture had all seen better days.
The breakfast was ok, but that’s about it - not worth £11. That said, the very busy sole server was very friendly, professional and polite.
- G7211TUjacquelineh (10/5): Happy returning customers - Stayed here several times as it's a good base away from the Town Centre but close enough to use amenities. Friendly helpful staff, clean comfortable rooms perfect for a short stay. Paying for parking in Reception is easy but can also pay when checking in too.
- NathanMartin1979 (10/5): Absolute Perfection. The team are Ambassadors for the brand! - This is the second time i have stayed at this hotel for a business trip and i cannot recommend it enough. Clean, tidy, but what sets this Premier Inn apart from the others is the team. Special thanks to Steve who looked after me in the evening and was always available to ask questions, etc. Breakfast was made especially pleasant once again by 'Lady Di' (Diana) who greets everyone so warmly and made time for a chat. Fast, efficient service. Superb! And finally, the chef, who i believe is Tracy. Breakfast was just incredible. Hot and you can have as much as you want. The scrambled eggs were a particular stand out! I genuinely look forward to visiting this hotel for work now, and cannot wait to see the team again. Genuine stars and ambassadors for the Premier Inn brand. Give them a well deserved pay rise. Thank you all. Superstars!
- aimeehep13 (8/5): Great night's sleep despite being busy. - Comfy beds as usual, clean rooms, helpful friendly staff.
Very busy place - some car park spaces a bit difficult to get in and out of - long cars sticking out, preventing others from using corner spaces.
Could have done with more disabled spaces closer to the actual hotel entrance.
Not sure if its just me but I found the entrance/exit, pub front, the wrap around higgledy piggledy carpark and the location of the hotel entrance a bit confusing in the dark.
Not a deal breaker but maybe a bit more clearly lit signage might be useful.
Despite being busy on the Saturday night we stayed it was a good, calm and quiet vibe resulting in a great sleep experience.
We were there for a family event so didn't need to eat there this time.
Thought the parking price of £3.00 a night was very reasonable.
- caryhaworth (10/5): Business Trip. - I was in town on a business trip and had a long, busy night. Fortunately, I was assisted by a wonderful staff member named Mia, who was incredibly helpful with any issues or concerns I had. She was very welcoming and made the experience smooth and pleasant. Overall, a great stay with no complaints.
- animate (10/5): Best Premier Inn experience - Best Premier Inn I’ve stayed in.
Clean, very quiet, usual comfortable bed, amazing waterfall shower and the breakfast is cooked fresh to order rather than laid out on hot plates. Staff are friendly too.
- 529gemmak (10/5): Amazing Premier Inn Stay - It was in a good location not far from The Bullring.
There was plenty of car parking which is free by entering your car registration details into the car parking app on reception desk.
The reception area was clean and welcoming.
The receptionist was friendly and welcoming.
I stayed in Premier Inn Plus room and the room was WOWing.
The room had been refurbished and loved the layout, desk and two chairs so much better.
The bed was its usual Premier Inn comfortable standards and I slept very well.
Wireless charging on one of the bedsides was a great addition with USB charging points both sides of the bed.
The upgraded WiFi was included in the rate which made a huge difference and definitely a bonus.
Excellent value for money and I would choose a Premier Inn Plus every time.
- H7361KNpauld (6/5): Premier inn without breakfast. - Parking charges now apply at this hotel, bar restaurant dirty table stained chair seat. Bar staff unhelpful when ordering.
Turned up next morning for our pre booked breakfast to be told the restaurant was closed no breakfast available no real reason given.
Breakfast money refunded.
- Sightsee12202398402 (10/5): Staying whilst awaiting accommodation - The staff are the best I’ve ever experienced above and beyond what is expected of them ready and willing to assist in any situation quick to respond to emergency bell ready and willing to help and most of all happy and friendly home from home
- timrF7435DQ (8/5): Reliable option - Regular visitor when a good deal comes up and we got this at a good price.
Pleasant room a little bigger than most of its class, nice shower and good drinkj making facilities along with a large TV.
We had a ground floor near the entrance so no lugging baggage upstair, the only let down was I struggled to get the internet and could not workout how to change my settings.
Best part is always the nice guy on Reception who we see most times who cannot do enough for you.
- Sightseer774432 (4/5): Worst Breakfast Ever - The breakfast was terrible. First day I had a full english. The bacon and the poached eggs were ok but the mushrooms were swimming in fat. The black pudding and hash browns were awful as well... fat literally squirted out of the black pudding when i put my fork in in.
Second day i just had poached eggs and bacon. this time the plate was flooded with water from the poached eggs which the bacon was swimming in. I put my toast on the plate and it went soggy...
probably the worst breakfast i have ever had.... i can't believe i paid 10.99 for that.
- andyandcez (10/5): great premier inn , awesome staff! - What you expect from a premier inn, mostly all the same layout and rooms. Here the staff are amazing, helpful and friendly. Stay here a lot and always spot on. Thanks to all the team for making us welcome.
- mauroc201 (10/5): Excellent Stay - Room very well presented, clean and bed very comfortable.
Suggest booking restaurant for evening meal and breakfast when busy.
Excellent breakfast, staff polite and helpful
- Z4093QFbeny (10/5): MIA IS A ABSOLUTE ASSETT TO THE COMPANY - MIA HAS BEEN INCREDIBLE , we have been staying here a few weeks through work and the staff have been so helpful during this time , mia especially nothing has been to much trouble and is a pure asset to the company
- 900ericat (8/5): Excellent staff - Standard Premier Inn, but staff on reception were excellent. some niggles, but all sorted out efficientsly and with good humour
- ceanda (8/5): Great night's stay - fab night's sleep - Judging by some of the previous Tripadvisor reviews on here, we were not expecting good things. However, when we arrived we were really surprised as everywhere was thoroughly clean with no dodgy smells as previously described!
Mia on reception duty had a lovely smile and was really welcoming to greet us. We had a minor issue at check-in but Mia swiftly dealt with this to our satisfaction.
We had booked 2 accessible rooms one of which had the Premier Inn's usual modern decor but the other was extremely old and dated, dimly lit and a bit oppressive. All of the rooms should be decorated with the same design brief, regardless of size/shape.
We have to say though that the rooms were spotlessly clean and we had the best night's sleep in both rooms. 10/10
We had our evening meal and breakfast in the Brewers Fayre restaurant located above the hotel (you can walk through the hotel into the restaurant without going outside). The previous reviews we'd read about here too weren't good either but again we found the restaurant to be clean, staff were attentive and the quality of the food was good. Couldn't fault it.
- simmy66 (10/5): Fantastic - Great service live Steve always friendly and rooms clean and it was great to see a new room so bubbles, breakfast was amazing to so worth booking that n your stay we will be back soon as always
- buzzcoates (10/5): Always friendly - Stay here every month for work and the staff treat you like one of the family. Yes it's not the Ritz but it is friendly and good value for money. Ideal for me as I can walk to work and walk/run in the evening along the prom which is nearby.
Breakfast is hot plate where they take your order, staff are always friendly big shout out to Sandra and the morning crew. Likewise evening staff are brilliant, cheers Grace, Destiny and gang. I haven't got to ask for a red wine, they know. Big shout out also to the reception staff, always available for a joke and giggle.
- Z816ADmichaelm (10/5): A nice friendly place to stay. - We arrived here late on the Saturday evening and the weather was horrendous but we received a really warm welcome from the lady on reception. We had checked in online so that was really easy. The room was clean and tidy as you would expect. We had breakfast at the attached pub which was very good. Only two slightly negative things, as with many of the Premier Inn places we have stayed there are creaking floorboards and there were no usb ports. All in all we had a very pleasant stay.
- 927amiees (10/5): Best premier inn I’ve stayed at!! - Having stayed at numerous premier inn hotels this is by far the best one I’ve been to!
Lady Di was incredibly warm and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure our needs were met and we were comfortable! Very funny too!!
The food was superb! Massive compliments to the chef. It was the best cooked breakfast I have ever had at a premier inn.
If I could get a rating of 10 I would!!
- Marina279 (10/5): Premier Inn, Hall Green, Birmingham - My house was being rewired and the company of 6 workmen do it in 2 days. They advise you to stay at a hotel overnight. I chose the Premier Inn, Hall Green Birmingham. It was superb, the room Premier Plus was excellent. I was checked in by a very friendly, kind and patient man. I'd prebooked breakfast the following morning in the small restaurant opposite reception. The full English was superb, extremely tasty and a large choice. A coffee machine with a choice of various coffees or hot water for tea. My waitress was very friendly and helpful too. I can thoroughly recommend this Premier Inn with extremely friendly staffand free parking is a bonus!
- JohnRWebb (6/5): For the price breakfast extra and basic room time to try others! - Found our room had no furniture with draws to put our clothes that didn't hang up in! Both the supplied chairs were due to be changed as they were not comfortable to sit in. The bed was ok but again like the room it was in need of a refresh. The bathroom low voltage shaver/charger has been removed and room servicing is now only done by request at reception instead of being done every day like in 2024 visit. We feel Premier Inn are more interested in contractors than people visiting the lights and Blackpool this year. We arrived Sunday and on returning Monday evening and having had to pay for 4 nights parking as there were so many vans in the car park we had to go right round to the far end at the rear to find an empty parking space. The breakfasts was excellent as was the staff and also the reception staff. However seeing the price including breakfast charged for such a basic room can be beaten and also includes breakfast so we will be trying else where in 2026! John & Sue Norfolk
- rosemaryj416 (4/5): Disappointed with our stay this time - This is our second visit here. It is very different now a couple of years on. It used to look like the photos on the website. Now the decor and furniture are tired. The bed was not that comfortable. The shower gel dispenser didn’t work. The desk lamp was broken. There was only one bath towel and it wasn’t all that clean round the sink. It’s probably adequate for workers whose firms pay for rooms but it was a disappointing stay for us.
- keithcarlin (10/5): Excellent service from the waitress, also good service from all staff. - Spent two nights at the Premier Inn and booked the meal deal, which was excellent value. Our waitress, Destiny, did everything possible to make sure my food intollerences were catered for, nothing was too much trouble for her, which meant I could relax and enjoy my meal, knowing she understood my problems. The room was clean and adequate for a two night stay.
- Q8253EOdiogol (10/5): Best breakfast experience ever - We loved our stay, especially the staff. Diane at the breakfast made us feel like family. Diane was so kind that my son asked to stay another night. What a star she is.
- G9042NIkimb (6/5): Attached pub beefeater feels and looks dirty - Reception area looked dirty when arrived although room was clean. Looks very tired hotel
Lots of noise in morning from neighbouring school and students so if wish for a lie in don’t book this hotel in the week
Beefeater pub very dirty all glass smeared with hand marks and grease and tables felt sticky still the same after two days staff just ignored this but made me question how clean the kitchen was
Breakfast staff were brilliant though and the breakfast was good
Parking 24th £3
- ivor123 (10/5): Second visit and not disappointed in any way - Stayed here about 9 months ago and were not disappointed.
Check-in was fast and efficient with a very polite helpful member of staff advising some useful information for our stay.
Room was spacious, clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, a wide selection to choose from and Diana was extremely helpful.
Check out was simple.
- 278JohnH278 (8/5): Pleasant stay in a quiet location. - With a bus stop right outside, perfect for connections to Blackpool and Cleaveleys. Quiet, comfortable room. Some areas like the shower head are in need of a deep clean, and the restaurant doesn't feel especially clean (strange sticky tables). Great helpful staff. Strange that you have to ask for a room clean.
- Kelly-welly123 (10/5): Great - Stayed here during a couple of days away in Blackpool. Chose here as it’s the cheapest for parking even if a little out the way. Lots of parking, easy check in just put reg into machine in reception and it’s 24 hours from when you check in and costs £3. Everything you need in the room and 2 big fans provided as no air con. 5 min drive into Blackpool. Few shops nearby which we found as we were leaving so that’s typical! Will be staying here next time we visit Blackpool 🤗
- Gee7355 (4/5): Wouldn’t return - Parking available and helpful staff, but they are the only positives! Rooms did not seem clean, bathroom smelt awful and had to buy air freshener and cleaning products to get rid of the smell! Requested room clean but wasn’t done. Air conditioning didn’t seem to work and was very noisy! Wouldn’t stay again!
- francescarN4834RQ (2/5): By Far the worst Premier Inn I’ve ever stayed in! - While the Premier Inn Hotel was not the cleanest one I’ve stayed in, my 3 night stay was made much worse by the eating facilities. The restaurant was filthy, the floor was so sticky in every part of the area that it was difficult to walk in trainers or shoes because my feet literally stuck to it. The clean glasses still had traces of lipstick on and the tables were also sticky and covered in crumbs even when I was the first down to eat for breakfast. My company paid a lot of money for me to stay there and booked in the ‘meal deal’ allowance. However, each day I was told “you’re not showing as having a meal deal, there’s nothing on our system for your room number” and the staff always blamed the hotel staff for not doing their job properly. I was therefore told to wait aside everyday while someone physically went and confirmed next door with the hotel. When they tried ringing the hotel reception there was no answer. When they eventually confirmed daily that I did have a meal deal, I was then ignored until everyone else in the queue in front of me was served. I felt totally embarrassed and the staff even stated that the situation with the lack of communication with the hotel was “stressing them out”. Overall the customer service was really bad and I was made to feel like a nuisance. The bed and towels were clean, but everything else was filthy. I would not recommend eating anything here or staying longer than 1 night
- Dee882 (10/5): Brilliant stay - Have stayed at a lot of Premier Inns and this was one of the best. Booked a one night stay for two family room as travelling as two adults and four kids. Check in was great, warm and friendly
The family rooms are brilliant, with an extension to room which gave us lots of extra space. The room was clean and beds comfortable. There was two fans provided to keep the room cool. The golden tickets left on the kids pillows to recieve a prize from reception was an added bonus and the kids loved it.
Breakfast was good, lots of choice and fresh food. Although it was busy as open to the public and was a weekend day.
Even when checking out the staff were friendly and pleasant. Great customer service. Would definitely stay here again.
- Cruiser53634202303 (4/5): Bad stay - Breakfast is meant to open at 7 o'clock on weekends but it opens at 7.20 am, we had to be in Southampton for 11 o'clock so we asked if we could cancel breakfast at 6.30 am the answer was no but at 7.10 am it was a yes. Which had made us 40 minutes late. In my opinion a bad stay
- juanpY4540CX (2/5): Room smelt strongly of vomit worse hotel stay - Our rooms smelt strongly of vomit and the carpet was wet.
Understand that people being sick is out of the hotels control but rooms shouldn't be sold until they are properly cleaned and no longer smell.
- val1946 (10/5): Overnight stay - The hotel is conveniently located near to the motorway. There is a large carpark with severai disabled spaces. I had an accessible room with a lowered bath. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and breakfast was really great value and well cooked.
- Dreamer43996042558 (10/5): Pressure free - Friendly staff nice food , nice location for my working away from home trip.
Enjoyed Friendly conversations. With bar and waiting staff.
Room was clean and tidy and breakfast was well presented.
Easy access to motorway both directions .
Altogether a very nice place to stay
- X7812YZmarcj (10/5): Great experience at Premier Inn, Blackburn South. - I had an enjoyable stay at this hotel on a Saturday evening at the end of March. The check-in process was fast and easy with a friendly receptionist. My room was clean, tidy and had everything that you'd expect. I ate in the Brewer's Fayre restaurant in the evening and had breakfast the following morning. Both meals were delicious and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. I certainly won't hesitate to stay again in the future.
- TraceyA1131 (10/5): Great service and nice room - Great service and great room. Staff were helpful and friendly. The bed was really comfy and we had a great sleep, the black out curtains were great. Had a lovely meal in the evening and breakfast in the morning was nice. Also we didn't have to check out until 12 which was great.
