Guest Reviews
- phoebegrace10 (10/5): Comfy, clean, good area. - Lovely area with the quay view. Pretty good walking distance for tram and small shops. Really clean and comfy and great staff.
- D3008AVterryw (8/5): Fun and comfy place - Very clean and comfortable room. Very friendly and welcoming. Was the perfect room to come back too after the event I went too that night
- VickySmith13 (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Clean and comfortable, with the facilities you'd expect from a budget chain. They promise a good nights sleep and things like a good mattress and adequate sound insulation are key to this.
Pleasing decor and I liked that the TV wasn't mounted flush on the dividing wall (it's got an extra insulating board behind it) so less of an issue with noise from other rooms.
Heating can be adjusted to suit though the thermostat reset overnight so I found it too warm when i woke up.
Free WiFi is a nice perk.
Convenient location and easy to find if you don't mind the inevitable traffic jams on Mottram Moor or the roundabout at the end of the M67. Its underneath one of the flight paths into Manchester airport but noise from planes, and the traffic, not a problem unless you have the window open. (For me, the ability to open the window is a definite plus point.)
Couldn't use the restaurant as it was closed. I understand this was temporary, but it would have been nice to be told before booking. (I know they are different companies but its the same group). The only other option within walking distance was a Macdonalds! If you know the area there are several other options within a few miles. However I would have preferred not to have to drive for a meal.
- naomihZ9503KF (8/5): A nice place to stay - We had a great stay. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was great. It was a perfect location for the event we were attending at Heaton Park. I think the people in the next room were smoking as we could smell it on and off throughout our stay, which was a little off-putting , but aside from that we were very satisfied.
- Suzik8 (10/5): Made or special weekend even more special - Premier Inn Heaton Park - very near every where we needed to be in Manchester - STaff are friendly and welcoming and ever so helpful. Room was very clean , warm with an excellent bathroom. Reasonable value - spotless - peaceful- service as exceptional with most of the amenities we needed. We came down for a very special occasion and this hotel aadded a special touch to the whole stay. Would stay here again.
- Y9910MDrachell (10/5): Thank you Elena - Elena was so welcoming.
Later in the evening I realised I had broken my charging cable and was unable to charge my work phone. (This was not ideal). I went down to reception to see if they had a cable I could buy?
Elena went above and beyond and found me a cable I could borrow. Great service!
I travel for work and stay in lots of premier inns, but this has to be the best service experience I have had so far.
- R5294MXje (10/5): Long weekend visit - A long weekend visiting rellies in Manchester. A decent breakfast and comfy bed made our stay very pleasant. The Premier Inn itself looks a bit tired now. However, the reception staff were prompt, friendly and welcoming
- P3860MJcarols (10/5): Fantastic Mary - Mary was fantastic, a warm friendly welcome. Also great advice on the meal deal! Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for looking after me so well.
- D9115BOstephens (10/5): Premier Inn Salford Quays - Lovely stay. Quiet and relaxing location. Standard room that was clean and satisfactory. The bed was so comfortable. Special call out to reception staff who were very friendly and helpful, especially Katarina. Thanks for a nice stay
- naadiyab2021 (8/5): Does the job, clean and spacious. - Stayed a few nights in this hotel. Free parking, clean and spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Loved the convenience of having tesco across the road. Only downside was the vegetarian options for hot breakfast is poor.
- gordonrD6369QL (8/5): Lovely hotel and staff - Spent one night at this hotel. A really friendly receptionist who made us feel very welcome. The room, although not the biggest was clean and tidy. Bed as always, very comfortable. The shower was the best I've ever had in a hotel ( I like a good shower )
- nfloyd58 (10/5): Excellent Receptionist! - We arrived here really upset after being scammed on our,non-existent,booked accomodation.Luckily this Premier Inn was nearby. The receptionist was so helpful and kind.Sorry we didn't get her name but she was amazing and booked us in to the last available room at 6.30pm Friday 24th October and really calmed us down and relaxed us.
Everything else was fine and up to the dependable Premier Inn standards. Please pass on our thanks.
- katrinapU4924IR (8/5): Half term stay - Great location, discount for parking available, the rooms were clean and tidy the staff are friendly and helpful ,however the hotel could do with a refresh it’s looking tired some of the ceiling tiles in corridor were loose and cracked and looks like there may have been a leak at some point. Unfortunately the noise from the room above disrupted our sleep very heavy walking on and off all night. Didn’t feel safe either the room doors the lock didn’t feel secure even if it was locked The breakfast was lovely and located in the beefeater next door. We would stay again however we feel that the rooms need modernising and re decorated.
- chunkymunky678 (6/5): Not The Quietest Place to Stay - Hotel was good, nice welcome, room was clean and we had everything we needed, but the noise all night long from the 24hr McDonalds, horns blaring from the large junction the hotel is situated on and the pub was terrible, it kept us awake both nights. There were also people chatting outside the pub in the early hours and people smoking, chatting and laughing right under our window at all hours. If you want to stay here ask for a room at the back of the hotel if you are a light sleeper.
- Liz196 (10/5): Good footy hotel - Pleasant hotel with comfy bedroom and reasonable bathroom with excellent shower facilities and near to Old Trafford to watch the soccer!
- MrRee83 (6/5): Not the best, room for improvements - The staff are nice and welcoming. The room was a decent size and the bathroom was really good. The bed wasn't the best but was good enough. The worst part was the heating; it wouldn't come on when you needed it to and is too tiny to keep the room warm. Maintenance guys work during the night so if you struggle to sleep and you'll hear them around keeping you awake.
- 216mrk (10/5): A nice stay - A sunday night stay for work. I was checked in by Joanna who was amazing and so professional with a smile. A warm genuine smile counts for a lot.
The rooms, premier inn rooms but spotless, warm and quiet. Plenty of parking. Was a nice quiet stay.
- samanthadF3808HF (6/5): Expensive - Stayed here as didn’t want to travel back home after watching man united game at old Trafford Check in was good, room was clean. Great service. But please beware parking your cars here, I woke up to a smashed window on my car attempted to pinch my car but failed and took my husbands wallet. Asked for camera footage from both premier and beefeater also esso garage where a bank card was used. Wish id bit the bullet and drove home afterwards and saved my self one hell of a bill and a long cold 4 and half hour drive home!!!
- chasw11 (10/5): Réception v good - Very quiet. V helpful receptionist Mary.
Room clean. TV quiet. Water hot.
Restaurant ok but Premier Inn restaurants are better. Weekend service a bit slow compared with weekdays.
Convenient for tram stop (Bowler)
- susanfB30XA (6/5): Ok, but definite room security issue - Reasonable stay. Check-in was easy.
Have to pay for parking at £10 per day (with a premier inn discount) - wasn’t aware of this at the time of booking.
Room was a bit tired and in need of a freshen up, but it was comfortable.
Major issue we had was another guest was able to gain access to our room while we were in bed during our last evening. The guest apologised and was a genuine mistake, however the way the lady at the desk dealt with it wasn’t the best. She said she couldn’t understand how it could possibly happen as there is only one key card allocated to our room. I explained that I understood that, yet someone was still able to gain access. She just said she would look in to it but I was offered no apology.
- Christletonian (10/5): Arrival was excellent as Karina was efficient, helpful and kind, making car park payment and meal selection very easy. - Karina was very kind and helpful making car park payment and meal selection very easy. Room pleasant, clean and comfortable.
- J7666VFandrewr (10/5): Great in every way - Great location and easy to get to, lovely rooms and great food - really nice warm welcome from Mary on reception - I’d highly recommend this hotel
- ChinaTraveller1963 (10/5): A happy experience - Clean room, comfortable bed, good facilities, purposely designed, ample parking spaces, all at a competitive price.
- PeterC143 (8/5): Lovely hotel - let down by air conditioning - Thde hotel is in a lovely position (especially if you have a Premier Plus room). Staff, comfort of the bed and cleanliness are all excellent, as alsways . However, air conditioning. The air conditioning in our room was not very effective. We found the same last time we stayed at Salford Quays. It did not cool the room down as effectively as other Premier Inns (despite an available lower than usual setting of 17 degrees, which was definitely never achieved. The air conditioning switched itself off every 6 hours, meaning we woke in the night feeling very hot and had to turn it back on again. Last time we stayed there it switched itself off every two hours and we were told 'that's what it's designed to do'. Please sort out this problem - you have a lovely hotel at Salford Quays which is being badly let down by the air conditioning.
- cornishcharlie (10/5): Lovely accommodation and amazing staff - The accommodation was well priced spotless and modern, and had everything that we needed. However, the real bonus of the stay was lovely Mary on reception who was an absolute delight.
- G5141MHvickyc (10/5): Mary is amazing - Really lovely staff member called Mary made my day with her interactions
Took the time to speak to me whilst I was waiting for a delivery. Special breed of person - love her
- LydiaCarlisle (8/5): Convenient, clean and cheap - You know what to expect when you go to a Premier Inn. The room was clean, We had breakfast next door. Only 10 minutes walk to The Lowry where we were seeing a show. Would use again.
Got train into Manchester then got the tram.
- E2644WJmilanp (10/5): Good experience - Highly recommend and looking forward to going back again soon.
Elena at the front desk were informative, warm ,caring and supportive. A very comfortable rooms and clean.
12pm check out,you couldn't ask for much more.
Many thanks 😊
- Clutch123 (10/5): Excellent Reception Service by Elena - Elena at the front desk was amazing! She was really nice, welcoming, and made check-in super smooth. She had a great attitude and went out of her way to help with everything. One of the nicest receptionists I’ve met
- territ756 (10/5): Great hotel and location - We arrived at the hotel much earlier than we planned to and parked up. Asked at reception if there was the chance of early check in, we were asked to come back in an hour or so which was no problem. Upon our return we checked in early - the guy we saw on both occasions was friendly and welcoming and was doing his best to get us in as early as possible. The room itself was lovely and clean with plenty of extra pillows, tea and coffee etc. We were in and out a lot but every time we went by reception we were spoken to and asked how we were, we felt very welcome - thank you to all staff we encountered!
- laurenmX8541LB (10/5): 10/10 experience - As soon as we walked in the service by mary was absolutely 5 star so friendly she booked our dinner and transport straight away absolutely amzing! and the room was perfect clean and tidy perfect for our stay
- tommyp157 (10/5): Good hotel - Good hotel, very well located for motorway access. Rooms are clean and comfy, you can also use the restaurant or McDonald's next door
- annam850 (8/5): Terrible booking systems for nice hotels. - The Premier Inns are very nice and so are the staff BUT the online booking service is hopeless. We have wasted hours of our holiday time trying to book ahead online because it is much cheaper than booking in person. THIS IS WRONG for a start. Why can't we walk into a hotel with a vacancy and be charged the same as if we booked online?? Why can't the staff at the desk assist us with a booking when our online attempts have been rejected 3 times??? And then there are 3 different rates for rooms online depending on when you pay RIDICULOUS especially when we are forced to take the higher one. I would not bother with Premier inns again if they can't get an online booking service to work. We are now on the phone AGAIN which is not much better because there are automated steps to go through that are not helpful AT ALL before you talk to a person.
- StewartB243 (6/5): Rip off pricing structure. - Convenient location. Good comfortable rooms with easy check in and checkout. On site car park for additional payment.
What spoilt it was the cost. I acknowledge I paid for early check in and a flexible rate but £243 for 1 night in a Premier Inn is outrageous. They are not alone in ripping people off just because there is a football match on though. If they were I would have gone somewhere else. It was 3 times more to stay on a Saturday night than on Sunday. Rip off Britain indeed.
- gs969 (6/5): Good room, but filthy dirty outside the hotel - Great room, good location relatively close to the metrolink and media city.
However, directly outside of the hotel (and the adjacent beefeater restaurant) was filthy. It’s like walking was like an ashtray with cigarette butts everywhere. This was really off putting, and looked disgusting.
This hotel needs to do better.
- 61mahdif (6/5): Convenient location but disappointing stay - The location was convenient and parking was easy, which I appreciated. However, I was disappointed with the overall experience. The room did not feel as clean and fresh as expected, and some areas seemed worn. Service could have been more attentive, and I didn’t feel it offered good value for money compared to other hotels. Improvements in cleanliness, comfort, and customer service would make a big difference.
- alanyZ7111KM (10/5): Excellent experiance and stay - Clean and welcoming with a warm friendly atmosphere. The rooms were very quiet considering how close the hotel was to a main road. The breakfast was great value for the money. Particular mention must be given to Elenar who was very warm and welcoming and made us feel at home the minute we walked in the front door. Nothing was too much trouble for her and can totaly understand why she is front of house. She is a credit to premier inn. We would absolutely stay again.
- jackiew469 (10/5): Comfortable and great price. - We were going to a funeral and the location was central to all venues.
Comfortable, clean room, fresh crisp bedding and large fluffy towels. There were extra pillows as required. Full facilities including a good hairdryer and refreshments. No AC and room was quite warm but there was a fan. On the ground floor so couldn’t open the window any more despite the iron bars on it.
All in all a comfortable stay for a great price.
- ditsydorah (8/5): Functional but reception staff could be warmer - I would describe this hotel as functional. We paid for a Premier Inn Plus room and it was worth paying for. Very spacious, which we needed as we were getting ready for a wedding. The room was clean including the bathroom, no sign of mould or anything in the bathroom it definitely seemed that there was an effort to keep it clean. We looked out over the waterfront which was great as there was watersports going on both days. Staff on reception could have been warmer. On our second night when we came back in we weren’t acknowledged at all which felt uncomfortable. We also weren’t asked if we enjoyed our stay when we left. Breakfast had lots of options and the cooked choices were made quickly. I did notice food under one of the tables on the first morning and then a fork under a table on the second day. I’m assuming just dropped from that morning. The car park was busy. We managed to get a space outside the hotel, we arrived at around tea time. If you got there later you might end up in the overflow, it was adjacent though so not far. Certainly a handy option for a hotel if you are down at Salford Quays.
- daniellemH3850ZL (10/5): Great room and staff - What a lovely and warming welcoming from Rachel on reception she showed us direction of our room and couldn’t of been more help we had a great stay
- Wonderingtree (4/5): Stinky - Don’t stay here if you don’t like the smell of cigarettes.
The smell started at the corridor and became stronger as I entered the room. I literally left with a bad taste in my mouth.
- Lezley7 (10/5): lovely place to stay, we will go back - lovely hotel, quiet, clean and friendly, excellent location and a very nice breakfast.
a very relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of life.
- ianpP6749CE (4/5): Disappointed - The wi-if was very poor & the pub attached to the hotel ( Beefeater) closed at 10:15pm on a Friday night & while we sat outside finishing our drinks several people want a drink but unfortunately the door was locked
- P92XJmels (10/5): Premier plus, Salford Quays a must! - Fabulous hotel, we picked a premier plus room, with a stunning view of Salford quays and Old Trafford. Breakfast was great and like the idea in this premier inn that the food is made fresh to order rather than left out for you to help yourself (less waste). The breakfast was served in the upstairs restaurant of the adjacent Beefeater. We chose to eat for our evening meal there too and I can honestly say that the food was excellent! We arrived by car and was alright, as car park was relatively empty, but the only small thing to note is that the car park is on the small size to service both Premier Inn and Beefeater. It still doesn’t detract from my 5 point score
- carolcG5411LF (10/5): Fabulous hotel - Omg what a beautiful setting, lovely staff, clean and super easy to find and get to other places. Loved staying here u really didn't want to leave
- TrailBlazer548882 (10/5): Excellent customer service - Thanks to Levon our stay in July was wonderful. This booking was a base for my birthday celebrations with my husband, and upon arrival there had been some issues with our online booking (dates etc). This problem was solved by Levon and quickly rectified so that my birthday celebrations could go ahead. Levon’s high level customer service skills ensured the whole process was dealt with smoothly and with a positive disposition. We have stayed at the hotel many times and would highly recommend it.
- T4019HGjohnh (4/5): Noisy pub next door, otherwise standard enough - Standard Premier Inn but ridiculous amount of noise from next door until very late so the kids were kept up as the hotel placed our family room right across from the noisy pub. Would not stay here again.
- D4315VOianb (4/5): I would not return to this hotel or Salford - The rooms were tired just about acceptable for one night . The whole hotel needs some TLC and the outside . It would appear that no one cares heads up and walk on by .
I have to say the Salford Keys was very much the same grubby !
The only thing I could say positive about the hotel it was in a good location
- rubyruby13 (10/5): Great Staff & Comfortable Rooms - For what we paid this was a great hotel, close to where we needed to be for a wedding. Room was clean and modern and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Although close to a busy road this could not be heard in the rooms and the we had a great nights sleep!
- Tourist21472363008 (6/5): No aircon rooms unbearable in summer - I have been to this Premier inn several times and it is pleasant, friendly staff, we always have a room at the back as it is quieter, but unfortunately because our stay is mainly in August,it was at the peak of summer and the rooms are unbearable. There is no aircon and the fans are useless. We brought our own, but was not enough. We had no sleep this time round for a few days because the heat was unbearable. The windows are useless, let in hardly any air as they do not open right out,due to safety. I'd recommend this place,it has a lovely big Pub next door, food is ok, but it would only be ok at a different time of year or if it had aircon.
- 593tracya (8/5): Happy over-night stay - Friendly staff on reception
Free on site parking
Clean & comfortable room/bathroom, with clean towels & bedding
Very comfortable bed.
Temp control/fan in the room
Extra tea/coffee available in reception
Close to pub/restaurant and supermarket
- DavidL184 (10/5): Very Enjoyable Stay - Very enjoyable night's stay.
Room very comfortable (great given the hot temperatures).
Staff are always helpful - lovely lady on reception when we arrived and great service from the breakfast team in the pub - thanks to Eva, Nick and Pete.
- 839Rach (8/5): Travel stay - The rooms are clean, very helpful and friendly housekeeping staff.
Lovely location with view across the quay.
The tables in the beefeater could do with a clean ( in between users) The staff are very friendly and helpful.
It's a fairly standard quality for a premier inn. I just wish other people would move around their rooms and the corridors quietly. I was woken by shouting and door slamming at around 10pm (this was a Tuesday night) and again by someone in the room above, with concrete shoes doing river dance at 7am.
- Alfiejoe8 (4/5): Don’t stay during a heatwave! - Exceptional reception staff , especially Emma, So helpful & knowledgeable too. Absolutely spotless room & all Areas.
The only thing I’d say we regret is not knowing the hotel didn’t have AC in the rooms . I know now it does explain this on their site “ however “ when I booked there wasn’t a heatwave on the horizon during our stay!
The reception staff did provide 2 fans which we did appreciate but did very little. We kept our window closed & curtains too but the room was still so hot 🥵
- andrewjones2021 (10/5): Nice stay at Premier Inn - Premier Inn does what it says on the tin. Very clean and friendly hotel, great bed and very quiet. This hotel offered ample safe parking, easy check in and friendly staff. We stayed 9 nights whilst visiting family in the area. No issues whatsoever.
- 2021SAJones (10/5): Our Favourite Premier Inn - What makes this our favourite Premier Inn?
The Reception Staff: always friendly; always cheerful; always helpful, making it a pleasure to stay here. We look forward to staying here and are always welcomed like long-lost friends. Of course, as ever, the housekeeping staff make such a great job of making the rooms clean and tidy.
Well done for maintaining such high standards for every visit!
- L9196NW_ (10/5): One night trip to Manchester for event at Co-Op Live. - We were in Manchester for a one night event, and just needed a place to spend the night after the event. For this the hotel was perfect. The room was clean and the staff very friendly. The hotel is about 20-30 mins from the Etihad arena to be handy.
- philSolihull (10/5): A great place - Nice hotel with plenty of parking
Great friendly staff
Good clean room
Good tea tray
The room
Has every thing I needed for a good nights sleep
The premier inns have great beds , nice and comfortable
The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water
- susansH6539EV (10/5): Great nights sleep.. - Bed was comfortable had a goodnighta sleep... Rooms was very clean and the hotel was quiet... Staff was pleasant and helpful... Overall was happy with my stay
- Global47613163198 (10/5): Premier inn - Emma in reception is great! Really helpful, would recommend. Comfortable bed and well located for local access and not too far from Manchester City centre
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Lovely staff, great location to stay to access Heaton Hall Bowls Club the site of the 2002 Bowls Commonwealth Games. The beefeater next door served great food during my stay.
