Guest Reviews
- L5635RUsimones (8/5): Great Victoria hotel - Well organised hotel. Great welcome from the staff and reception staff were really helpful. Very comfortable beds and great location, only a 5 minute walk from the station.
- H6585IQgracet (2/5): rude staff member - extremely rude staff member. Booked here to leave our bags through a 3rd party 2 weeks prior. We then showed up on the day and the women was extremely rude to us, saying that they are “full” and it’s “not her problem” even though i had already paid a couple weeks ago now. I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you want to deal with an extremely rude staff member. I didn’t get her number but i would avoid the place full stop. I called her out for being extremely rude and she had nothing to say
- edwardmO3205QG (2/5): Under staffed from the get go - Massively under staffed, long que at check in, no one manning the bar, gave up after 20mins, no plates or glasses at breakfast had to ask 3 times to get a plate and had juice out a mug. Very poor overall. Bad experience.
- chrisoF9405PS (10/5): Very good, clean and comfortable ,food and service good - Great staff, really helpful
Rangg really helped me a lot, nothing too much trouble
Great guy and a credit to your company
- V8177VJrebeccam (4/5): Unlikely to return, better hotels nearby for the money - Unlikely to use again. Good location. Basic but fair room, as a family of four our room had plenty of space. Bathroom needed a serous refurb. Dreadful service at breakfast - no eggs, bacon, orange juice, bread for toast or muffins. We had to keep asking the limited number of staff for these items, as did other guests, and a small amount would come out sporadically. No teaspoons, plates, cutlery or mugs either.
- paulmK1638TK (10/5): Outstanding Customer Service - Superb location beside Victoria station. We travelled as a family of 4, two adults and two 7 year olds, stayed in a family room on the ground floor. We received a fabulous welcome from Nardos who found out it was our twins birthday and looked after them with treats in the room and then a cake at breakfast. It made the trip so memorable for them to receive this kind of welcome, outstanding customer service. I have to say the breakfast was delicious, one of the best hotel buffet breakfasts I have had in a while, fresh and plentiful. I would highly recommend this hotel as base visiting London.
- susanfY7696ZC (10/5): One night stay - Excellent stay, super comfy bed and room was immaculately clean. Staff were also very helpful, good parking availability
- MeltonJerry (10/5): A good place to stay in Victoria - Stayed overnight. The staff were very attentive, tge room was clean and well presented. It aas good value. I ate at the hotel. Ranga served me. He was good and so was the food. Well cooked, nicely presented and tastey.
- Ozzy_Traveller82 (4/5): Bed bugs??? - Stayed for 1 night. Usual premier inn stuff, all fine, except a couple of days later one in the party of 3 had bites.
Reviewed all avenues and concluded this stay was the only time the bites could have happened.
Wrote to premier inn to advise. They said “We are sorry to learn that bites were sustained during your stay and want to assure you that, at Premier Inn, we take matter of this nature very seriously.”. They continued saying an independent report was done and no bed bugs were present but when I asked for a copy of the report they declined to share it.
If not bed bugs, I still believe there was something found on the report for them not to share, especially when their apology said “We are sorry to learn that bites were sustained during your stay”, this portrays guilt in my head, like they weren’t surprised!
I wish I had read trip advisor reviews prior to booking because I would have avoided the location as others had encountered bed bugs before.
No compensation or refund offered. Very disappointed in Premier Inn and we have lost confidence with the establishment as a whole.
- barriejskinner (10/5): Clean, comfortable and welcoming - Stayed here for one night whilst visiting family. The reception staff on arrival and leaving were welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a very good night’s sleep as the bed was very comfortable, the hotel was quiet and the black out curtains were excellent. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
- emmabW8923HW (10/5): London stay - Lovely Premier Inn, very friendly staff, easy check in, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, very close to the Apollo theatre, good choice of food for breakfast.
- Pacmama (4/5): No sleep due to noisy Vents. - Great location for theatre and underground. Usual standard premier inn , you know what you're getting. Smaller room than normal but clean and comfty. Huge drawback though was the noise coming from the vents above the bed. It was awful and stopped us sleeping. We had to ring reception and then go down in the middle of the night to ask if they could assist. They did something but it didn't make any difference. You could even hear it outside the room. Sadly we didn't get any sleep which meant we couldn't enjoy the next day fully.
Nice breakfast. Low rating is based solely on the noise and lack of sleep.
- A2323THkarenm (10/5): Great value, great location, v comfortable and practical stay - Stayed one night at the Victoria Premier Inn in a recent London trip to visit friends and see the sights. Location and luggage facilities perfect for traveling from Victoria. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Staff v friendly. It was a v comfortable stop over hotel in a great location for a v good price.
- markwilsonj (10/5): “Londerful” near Victoria Station. - Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bathroom was fitted out with multiple grab bars and a curb-less shower. The towels were large and absorbent.
The front desk was staffed by a knowledgeable and friendly crew who were willing to provide great service.
The hotel is a short walk to Victoria Station which made it easy to get public transportation all across the city.
We ate at several restaurants that were within a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
- xxhayz2xx (10/5): Nice and Pleasant Visit - Nice hotel, clean and welcoming team.
We had dinner in the hotel and was served by Ranga. Very attentive, checked on us and asked if everything was to our satisfaction.
Greeted us with a smile and friendly attitude.
- marymary27 (8/5): Excellent location once found - Arriving by train on a rainy evening the hotel was difficult to find, it is tucked away on a side street next to Lime Street Station, but not prominently signed or lit. A helpful local directed me. Once in the Reception area, I tried to use one of the machines to check in, but it was very slow. A staff member did come after a few minutes and checked me in at the desk. My room was clean and comfortable. However it was quite dark, even in daylight. The window was long and narrow, and at an angle in a corner. The refreshment box only contained two tea bags, I think there could have be3n more. I know extras are easily available from Reception, but this means trailing though the hotel corridors. The hotel location is excellent though.
- Adventure800840 (8/5): Solid hotel choice for the Victoria area - Good option for the Victoria area. Rooms at the top (Premier Suites) are pretty nice. Felt that the price on the night I stayed was pretty steep for a Premier Inn. Good option if you pick a night where prices are lower. Location was nice, close to Victoria and in a quiet street next to some stately London squares.
- ileftmyheartinTokyo (6/5): Disappointing for a premier inn - I usually love a Premier Inn, but this stay at Liverpool Lime Street was a bit of a letdown. The bed was a little squidgy and not as comfortable as they usually are, and the blackout curtain didn’t fully close so the bright lights outside came straight through.
There was no iron in the room or an ironing room that I could find, and I didn’t have time in the morning to ask for one to be sent up.
Breakfast was also disappointing as the plates and cups didn’t feel very clean, the “warm” plates were actually cold, and so was the food.
The TV in the breakfast area was on a shopping channel, which felt like an odd choice (I get not wanting to put the news on, but surely there’s a happy medium!).
Finally, I was told I’d need to make a donation to their charity to leave my luggage, which felt a bit awkward — I didn’t have any change, and although the staff member did then say it was okay, it left me uncomfortable.
Overall, not the usual reliable Premier Inn experience I’ve come to expect.
- Talbottraveler (10/5): A quiet and comfortable stay. - We've stayed here once before in May. All good then. This time...a warm welcome, staff sound genuinely interested in your journey, where you are from and why you are visiting. Request to use an ironing board dealt with straight away. Room clean, tidy and warm. Stayed for two nights. Very quiet. The car park was fairly quiet and right next to the building. No problems at all. And of course, no dogs, which for us is a big plus. Big shout out to Louise, Leesa, and Tracy! Thank you for a quiet and comfortable stay.
- keithwF5079DC (6/5): Not Premier Inn standard. - Seem to fall short when it comes to Pemier inn standard of room, especially where storage and general space is concerned. Would not have liked to stay anymore than the 2 nights.
- jessicagO1381HZ (6/5): Never again - The pictures on the hotel’s website do not accurately represent the room my family was given. It was dingy and the corridor smelled horrible, likely from the leak in the ceiling. The “family room” was large, but unfortunately it was up a large flight of stairs and was difficult to navigate with luggage and a stroller. Even taking the lift would require going up and down more stairs to get to the room. I would not stay there again.
- LesleyP896 (10/5): Great hotel location with easy access to everywhere - Great location for central Liverpool. 2 mins from Lime Street. Quiet room. Friendly staff. Breakfast fab. Q Park parking nearby and 20% discount with Premier In value.
- micheevans (6/5): You’re paying for the location - I recently stayed at the premier inn London Victoria for a few days away with family. I chose this particular hotel as we got it for a good price and the location was perfect as we were travelling to Victoria by coach and the coach station is about a 10min walk away, if that.
When I booked the room it said it was a family room but I’m not sure if it was? It would be very small for a family. The room was nice and clean on arrival, the beds were ok, the bath room was on the small side and the shower was useless!
We put the sign on our door for our room to be cleaned and it wasn’t, you have to put that on the door AND tell reception you want the room cleaned which I’ve never had to do before in other hotels.
We had breakfast included in the price which was ok. There was enough to choose from but the cooked breakfast wasn’t very hot.
All the staff we encountered during our stay were all very helpful and friendly, there just didn’t seem to be many staff there. So the staff that are there are a credit to the hotel!
Overall our stay was ok, and we did get it for a good price especially as it was during half term so that was the selling points the location. But the hotel itself could probably do with a refurbishment as it was looking pretty worn in places. I’m not sure I would stay here again though.
- jwright1313 (2/5): Freezing room - Have stayed here before and usually very comfortable. However, on arrival in the room tonight the temperature was set to 17 degrees and the room was freezing. Now, 2 hours later, despite setting it to 20 it is still only 17.5. So very cold and uncomfortable
- IrmzTed (10/5): Premier Inn Liverpool Lime Street - This review started as a one star, whilst waiting at 4.15 on Monday with dozens of other quests for rooms to be available.
Once relaxed in our usual comfortable Premier Inn room and two days of interactions with incredibly pleasant and helpful staff we are back to five stars.
A basic hotel very convenient for the station, no city view but who cares. Well done hard working Premier Inn, Lime Street Station management and staff.
- sarahbI6489XK (10/5): Amazing - I was here on a business trip wow the morning receptionist Louise is very friendly and so helpful. The rooms were lovely well presented bed and it’s true what the advert says the bed was like a fluffy cloud woke up feeling refreshed ready for my day would 1000% be back again .
- Roam19993110814 (4/5): Great location for central Liverpool but shabbily maintained rooms let it down. - Chose this hotel due to its proximity to the railway station as only visiting for a short time. Location is ideal of travelling by rail. Central to city centre for amenities/theatres etc. Slightly tucked away so noise from outside wasn’t an issue.
Upgraded to a Premier Inn Plus room but was far from Plus! Broken and cracked mirror, unpleasant odour lingering in the bathroom and shabby decor/maintenance. Thankfully the bed was clean and comfy!
Reception was very busy and my schedule didn’t allow me the time to complain and change rooms. Had I been staying longer I’d have persevered in the queue and raised the issues. Similarly at check out I had to jump to self check out in order to beat the long queue and catch my train. Having almost always chosen premier inn for solo trips due to their comfort and uniform standards across the chain, unfortunately this time the hotel fell short.
- Pioneer15630978631 (8/5): Friendly staff - Location is perfect. Less than 5 mins walk from Apollo theatre and close to Victoria station the staff at this hotel are amazing you can not fault their effort BUT there isnt enough staff. 1 person to mam the reception and the bar at night is crazy. 2 people running a full restaurant on a saturday evening is crazy. These poor staff are well overworked
Room was clean bed comfy, check in easy but location won it for us. Food was okish. We had the meal deal which works out super cheap for London amd was a convenience but is far from fine dining. For the price paid though honestly can not complain. The 4 stars is purely because of the lack of staff and no reflection on the staff there
- Mobile81215 (8/5): Lovely staff, well located - This hôtel is very well located at a few minutes walk of Victoria station.
All the girls, including the trainees, were absolutely lovely, they did everything they could to make our journey as pleasant as possible.
Nevertheless, we were worried about their work conditions, as, for example, the same person was expected to attend at the same time, the hotel reception and the service at the restaurant.
The food, in my opinion, could be improved, but the meal deal does the job and saves you time and worries after a long day of visits.
Again, the staff was super nice, and we wish them a nice and sweet management.
- F3565LGsk (8/5): All good! - Nice clean hotel and very quiet. Check in was quick and easy. Staff very helpful and pleasant, particularly Ranga. Evening meal and breakfast were quick and fresh .
- H7970SCdavidm (10/5): Amazing hotel - This hotel is amazing and it’s spotless, the staff are amazing Debbie and Louise and Kimberley and pushba nice welcome from the team always feel at home!
- hugho145 (10/5): Excellent service great rate..!! - Excellent service at a very reasonable rate with really helpful staff. Huge family room with VERY large double bed , two good sized singles AND an extra pull out bed under the double..!!
No food/drink services available in the hotel but all , including breakfast, available at the Ship Inn right next door.
Great place to tour this part of England from with direct train services to both Liverpool and Manchester from Rainhill station, no more than 15 minutes walk away, also easy access to the motorway network if you have a car. All in all a good place to base yourself for either holidays or business..!!
- BlairDurno96 (10/5): First Time Visit - A wonderful experience during my time visiting. A wonderful welcome at reception. Check In was a breeze. Picked my time for dinner. Dinner was a great experience. Staff were excellent. Food was delicious and good quality. A good night sleep. Followed by a good breakfast in the morning. Good selection available. Perfect walking distance from Lime Street Station. Would definitely stay again.
- jeffdT4491GS (4/5): Not a great stay - usually happy with Premier Inn - We use Premier Inn on a regular basis and this is the worse stay, we were not made aware prior to arrival that the Pub (with Restaurant) which the hotel is at the back of was closed, so had to find alternative place to eat (which meant driving). the hotel itself is okay and the staff were friendly, the room was large and clean. the issue lies with the heater in the room, we put it on prior to going to bed and then when we tried to sleep the heater would beep about 5 times waking us up and this seemed to happen about every 90 minutes, which meant that both my wife and I had a poor/broken sleep.
We also had to find alternative place to have breakfast.
- Deex78 (4/5): Not the best Premier Inn - We had a very late night flight back to Liverpool so decided to book into for good night sleep before heading home to Scotland. First impressions were not good as we drove up to find construction fencing up around the restaurant but managed to get parked ok. The night receptionist was great and got us checked in very quickly. The room was fairly standard for a Premier Inn albeit a bit tired looking e.g. the curtains didn't close particularlywell and there was a bit of black mould around the shower. We managed to get into to bed around 2:30 but with a noon check out we thought we would manage a good sleep. The drones of construction machinery started before 9am on the Saturday morning. The soundproofing was poor so there was no chance of sleeping through. The shower was fine but was leaking under the shower tray. We tend to use Premier Inns a few times a year but would not rush back to this particular one.
- katybJ6006HG (6/5): A handy spot with decent breakfast. - Clean comfortable rooms in an ideal position for Lyme Street station and The Empire theatre. The outside area leaves a bit to be desired. Watch out for broken glass as you approach the hotel! Some staff are lovely and friendly. Particularly the breakfast chef and a Scottish chap called Alistair ( I think!) A nice area for a drink at the end of the day/evening, if you can find someone to serve you! Breakfast was lovely.
- Flyer475096 (10/5): Brilliant hotel and staff - We stayed here for 2 nights on a wee trip to Liverpool a lovely hotel with lovely staff that couldn’t do enough for us. they were all so friendly. We had breakfast 2 mornings and dinner both nights and it was really lovely Chris Holly and lily were lovely as was the rest of the staff. Hotel was very clean and beds were comfy. We would highly recommend this hotel and we can’t wait to our next visit x
- Funlovinfella (10/5): In our Liverpool home! - We always stay here when visiting family back home, it’s the best!
The rooms are always spotless, the bathroom has a huge walk in shower.
ALL THE STAFF ARE AMAZING! The manager (Tracey) is a diamond!
It is our home when we come home! We love it here!
- davidbD5894EK (6/5): Nice but definitely overpriced! - Expensive for what it was! The location was very handy but I still can’t work out why it cost so much. Don’t be fooled by parking in the “recommended” QPark as there’s a shopping centre car park just opposite the hotel that’s open 24 hours, more handy if you have a lot of luggage like we did. The bedroom clearly hadn’t been cleaned very thoroughly as there were two drinks bottles under the bed, and an odd-looking stain on the carpet under the desk. Whilst the service was excellent and the continental breakfast was fresh and tasty, I still can’t work out why it was nearly £200 for bed and breakfast!
- 949marions (10/5): Good location. Clean and friendly, with lovely helpful staff. - A wonderful location, right opposite Liverpool Lime Street Train Station, so only a short walk with our suitcase. Also well located to shops, bus stops and places of interest. The place itself is very clean, staffed by very helpful people who help make the holiday special. We slept well too!
The breakfast was tasty, very good value and there was plenty of selection. We were pleased that we made the decision the book breakfast.
- 810anthonyw (2/5): Was great.... But now not so great. - Was going to be 5 stars. Excellent, clean and tidy Premier Inn.
But it's 2.30am and the fan in my room is running constantly. Switched off all climate controls... Spoken to the night manager 3 times and he has tried to turn it off remotely 3 times.
He now says he can only sort it in the morning - which is great because I am leaving in the morning.
I think we will be closing our account with Premier Inn.
- indianmerman (2/5): faulty towers - Very disjointed service and hotel . We booked early checkin but rooms were not ready in the afternoon. Our room was supposed to be cleaned but there was used tea and cups and a dirty flannel in the bathroom . Breakfast just as disjointed . We were shown to our table and were told they would bring cutlery and condiments but we helped ourselves and it was not done . No fruit juice or tea spoons . Grumpy person at the food station did not like that we wanted fried eggs as there was only one there dried up. The ones we got were snotty and not cooked well. All in all . Not a great experience.
- Druds (10/5): Great location - Great location. Hotel and room very clean. Quick check in. We were able to leave our luggage with the hotel as we arrived 3hrs before check in.
- luv2ski0 (10/5): Perfect location , lovely staff - Booked 2 nights in lime st premier inn . Right next train station- perfect location as when we arrived it was raining heavily .
We were unlucky to miss our first night as train was cancelled. When we arrived we were greeted by David , he was really helpful as I was apprehensive as missed our first nights stay and I couldn’t get through in the phone .
David and his colleague Kaitlyn were so helpful .
Recommending places to eat and drink
Well done premier inn for your recruitment & retention of lively staff .
The hotel is so central , everywhere is a short walk away
The bed is so comfy , room very clean with lovely vibe .
Delighted with our stay
Thank you
- KyproullaS (6/5): fairly disappointed - The rooms have no opening windows which is an issue especially for someone with asthma. Our bed had springs coming out from the side of the mattress. Renewal of the mattresses would be good.
Breakfast was not everyday tasty and some days they were out of eggs or bacon and we had to ask them to cook some.
Friendly staff
- 440aidenr (10/5): Perfect overnight stay - Well located hotel with friendly staff and very clean. Slept really well - great bed! Will be back next time in Liverpool.
- garysW8984GH (10/5): 100 - 100% excellent. Would be going back. Staff also were 110%. Also the room was fresh and the food was also 100% ..............
- sallyb670 (10/5): Great stay - Great location for Lime Street & theatre.
The staff are all very welcoming , friendly & really helpful.
The hotel is clean & the bed was comfy.
Breakfast choices were very good.
- 482sarahj (10/5): Staff were great, location perfect and our room met all our needs at a very reasonable price. - Staff were friendly, professional and went the extra mile.
Extremely convenient for everything Liverpool has to offer. One minute from Lime Street Station but not disturbed by any noise.
- anthonym9457 (10/5): Nice stay. - Had a really nice time at the hotel.Staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was tidy, clean and warm. The pub next door has plenty of choice of food and drink and the staff are also welcoming.
- Travel36619431517 (10/5): Premier Inn Rainhill - We have stayed at this hotel a few times, lovely staff, clean and comfortable rooms, nice and quiet with great parking facilities, pub next door that serves food incl breakfast thats nice.
- Sarah_Lou2014990 (10/5): Great hotel - Great location for liverpool and Manchester. Lovely little hotel, no bar/restaurant but pub with outdoor space right on the doorstep selling food and drink.
We went for a family event and the room was just great. If you want more space in your room id recommend requesting room 16 - its huge! We had a double and 2 singles and could easily of fit another bed in and still have tons of space. Just what i needed when staying for a few days with children.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely return
- ken271 (10/5): NOT LONG NOW - Not been yet due end of July, but communication with Premier Inn Rainhill is outstanding. Will update after stay at end of July.
- dianahT9630NE (8/5): A nice clean room and bathroom - A nice clean room and bathroom situated next to a nice pub. Parking was taken care of as it was an Europarks. a warme welcome at receptiuona dn the room was very quiet, no noise from any other guests. A good location to go to Anfield to see a concert.
- mrsellengriswold (10/5): Lovely hotel. - The room was spotlessly clean, the bed was really comfy. A big thank you to all the staff, Tracey and Lisa were great, so friendly. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for them, they want to make sure everything is going okay with your stay.
We will stay here again when visiting the area.
Lovely atmosphere and trouble free stay!
- Funlovinfella (10/5): EE-EYE-ADIO WE WON THE LEAGUE! - This is the best Premier Inn for miles around, it’s a twenty minute drive from here to visit our families and we’ve stayed in others in Liverpool but the staff here are top of the pops!
The rooms are spotless, the staff are the stars of the show! Lisa checked us in, always smiling she makes you feel welcome as soon as you walk through the door.
Extra special this trip as Liverpool had just won the Premiership and Tracy was smiling more than ever! She’s a diamond, always enquires about our family, always concerned that everything is okay with our stay!
Love this place, if we win the lottery I’m moving in!
- 738shahidm (10/5): Unexpectedly Pleasant Stay at Premier Inn Liverpool Rainhill - We ended up booking this hotel last minute—just hours before check-in—after a disappointing experience with our Airbnb. Despite the short notice, the staff at Premier Inn Rainhill were incredibly welcoming and helpful, especially Dave, who went above and beyond to make our stay smooth and comfortable.
The hotel is small and located a bit far from the city centre, but the area is peaceful and well-connected, making it a convenient choice if you're okay with a short commute. Dave made a real difference—he was attentive, friendly, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our stay.
Overall, a great experience that turned a stressful day into a comfortable one. We’ll definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to Liverpool!
- 187tiaw (10/5): Weekend away - Staff, tracey, Louise and Tina are absolutely amazing the most loveliest people I’ve ever met. Even gave us an Easter egg for our son. Hotel is lovely and welcoming. Love the free car park as well. Room was absolutely spot on 1000% recommend this hotel
- Eggchaser76 (10/5): Another great stay! - Been a couple of times to this hotel now and always been a pleasant stay. Comfy beds, very friendly and attentative staff. Recently upgraded the WIFI which is super fast now. Pub next door is handy for food & drink and always a warm welcome. Would highly recommend!
