Guest Reviews
- L8312RGdebbiem (10/5): Very welcoming stay - Everything was to my complete satisfaction. Just one small thing as I am small the bed was a little high to get into but once I was in it very comfortable and cosy
- neilfD2247DK (4/5): Employ more staff - Room OK. Restaurant badly understaffed for dinner. The waitress was doing her best in a busy restaurant, trying to manage bar, taking orders and serving food on her own. We sat for two hours and only managed one course!!!!. Breakfast was better with two waitresses.
- Flyer19011775976 (10/5): Very clean and comfy - Clean hotel and room. Food very good, though service was a little slow at breakfast on first night of stay with only 1 member of staff, but was fine during other meals.
- Pioneer187127 (10/5): Slough - Room very clean. Bed comfortable. And staff friendly and helpful. Had both breakfast and dinner both very good value for money
- alisonward2019 (10/5): Great overall stay - Lovely hotel, recently refurbished, very comfortable and nice friendly staff. Restaurant is good value for money and is definitely stay again.
- simrank907 (10/5): Location - Friendly helpful staff , good breakfast . Clean place there were quite lot of options for breakfast although the place looks small but it was well organised .
- 519nimadew (10/5): Great location - Good location to tourist places like Windsor , direct bus services for the hotel to Windsor castle . Hotel
Was quite and it was clean
- clarebear1809 (4/5): Understaffed and needed to be more organized - Great quiet location, hotel rooms nice, clean bedding, lovely bathroom, staff were nice but the hotel was very understaffed and it showed at the breakfast time as they could not cope with the customers who were all asking where their breakfast was!!
- DaveBigHands (2/5): Best Avoided! - The worst Premier Inn I have ever stayed in.
The reason for this is the failure of management to employ enough staff, which then equals appalling service. One member of staff on the front desk, one serving behind the bar and one serving in the restaurant. We waited 45 minutes for our order to be taken in the restaurant, the meal was wrong when it arrived 45 minutes later and the chef was actually bringing meals out from the kitchen to the tables!
In the morning, things were just as poor. Again, we waited 25 minutes for someone to come and take our order (during which time a couple who arrived after us were served before us) and another 30 minutes of waiting before breakfast arrived. You should not have to wait for 55 minutes for a breakfast.
This particular Premier Inn is best avoided and I whereas previously the company would be first choice for an overnight stay, I'll carefully check any reviews before booking with them in future.
- C4758IXstevend (10/5): Friendly Staff! - Have stayed at the Slough Central a number of times now. The friendly and helpful staff make this Premier Inn stand out! Well done all! I will be back!
- jotc670 (10/5): Breakfast at slough central was nice , busy breakfast but it was nice lots of options . - Breakfast
Visited slough central premier inn for breakfast with my family , it was amazing was a bit busy but the restaurant and the breakfastwas nice
- 942sarbjitb (10/5): Excellent stay with great breakfast - The service was lovely and the room was clean. Me and my husband thought the breakfast was excellent and we would stay there again.
- AmitBapiDas (4/5): Bad Experience in Premier Inn - Me & family booked this premier Inn from 30 Oct to 2 Nov but I am not happy with this stay.
There are no car parking even you re ready to pay.
Lift is not working which given me lot of pressure to the luggage down from staircase.
Lift key button was broken.
many time, Room Keys is not working.
- Ediri (8/5): - Clean room and the lady on duty was professional
- DavinaWilliams (4/5): premier inn m42 hockley heath - having used this venue on many occasions when visiting the NEC we found this visit sadly lacking. The corridors are very grubby needing a good vacuum clean. We asked for a ground floor twin room on arrival we were informed that they had managed to change things around to accommodate us even though i had telephoned at time of booking to ensure our needs would be met due to disability and no lift at this venue i always use premier inns procedures to provide my booking number and requirements. The restaurant is no longer a beefeater and this area looks very worn and neglected. The carpeting again could benefit from a good clean. The upholstery needs repair or recovering. Staff seem to work reception making beds and working in the restaurant serving meals . This is not the premier inn establishment we are used to
- 291katiep (10/5): Birthday Legoland Visit - Great location for Legoland. Although no car parking on site, there is a multistorey less than a minutes walk away. Safe and secure, locked at night. The team are to be commended for making a fuss of our son who's birthday was while we were away. I'd enquired into a local balloon shop, and the team said they'd sort it. We were welcomed to a room full of balloons, banners, chocolates and sweets for our boys. It was such a lovely touch, and all the staff who met our son with his big birthday badge on, wished him well and made a fuss.
The lifts were in the process of being fixed, but this is the only downside for our stay
- I2386ETlaurab (8/5): Reliable stay for family trip - Spent two nights for a family day trip. Rooms are as expected for Premier Inn, but a little tired compared to some others we’ve stayed at. Breakfast was busy but plenty of food options and didn’t need to wait more than a minute to get seated both days.
Good base for exploring local attractions such as Legoland. Tesco express right next door if you need any trip supplies.
There is no parking on site, but there is a large multi-storey carpark a few minutes walk away on Herschel Street. It’s locked between 10pm-7am but was a reasonable rate (most we paid was £10 for evening to mid-morning), and was well lit and had loads of spaces.
Overall, a reliable stay as you would expect from Premier Inn, and a good base for exploring the area.
- rhiannonu628 (2/5): Don't bother - Premier Inn Solihull Hockley Heath.
What a nightmare. Waited for ages to check in as their wasn't anyone on reception. The lady on reception was pleasant when she turned up.
We decided to book a meal deal.
When we turned up our meal we then found out why it took so long for the receptionist to arrive and that was because she was trying to help the only member of staff. The only member of staff covering the bar, waitressing and sitting people at the table.
This poor lady was stressed to hell. Not a nice thing to witness. She was trying her best but should have never been placed in that position. Once we we sat down to order. Obviously we had to wait to order. Then my food took an hour to arrive and my husbands never arrived because it wasn't ordered. In the end we got our meal deal refunded and made the decision to eat elsewhere.
The bed was lumpy and hard. We put the heating on the couldn't work out how to turn it off so the room was very warm as the temperature was set at 30 degrees and the system wouldn't let us turn it down.
We have stayed at premier inns before but never experienced anything like this before.
- rY494ZT (10/5): Great budget hotel. - Stayed here while on a trip to Windsor/London. Good location, easy drive to Windsor or a short walk to Slough train station with regular fast trains into centre of London (20mins to Paddington Station). We used the off-site car park just around the corner on Herschel Street which worked out around £10 per 24hrs. Hotel was clean, and the rooms exactly what you expect from a Premier Inn. The staff were approachable, welcoming and very helpful. Check in and out was very straightforward. We had breakfast most days and ate in the restaurant a couple of times with the meal deal option. Food was enjoyable and very reasonably priced, especially given other prices locally. We would definitely stay again or recommend if you are happy to stay slightly out of London and benefit from more reasonable hotel prices.
- S2372AIpaulf (4/5): Ok but avoid the restaurant - We have stays here in October two years in a row. Should have known better the second time. The rooms are generally clean but some of the bathrooms smell of sewage and the hallway carpets look like they haven't been vacuumed in years. Avoid the on site restaurant as the food is very average and the service is at a glacial pace . We waited 45 minutes for them to take our order 1 hour for it to arrive. Considering there were only 5 other tables occupied and most of them were already eating this is poor.
- sah885 (8/5): Shout out for staff! - Shout out to staff at Hockley Heath Premier Inn. A very busy night at the restaurant on Monday, Louise was run off her feet, despite being short staffed she still managed service with a smile and humour. Well done!
Same at breakfast, don’t have the waitress name, but she worked equally as hard.
- Raidon22 (8/5): Good but could be better - Premier plus room. The room itself was great.
The staff were friendly but overworked. Only 1 staff member in restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
The decor in the restaurant is tired. Half painted wooden panels, part of restaurant unkept with chairs piled up and tables pushed together.
The WiFi was near non existent, even having the ultimate WiFi. Did go to reception to check and they said WiFi poor in our section of the hotel - so put boosters in.
Note also looks like a mobile signal dead zone (EE and O2)
- Allisonthomlinson (10/5): Excellent sleep and great hotel - I travelled with my daughter we felt safe here at this hotel. Room was lovely, slept really well . Staff are lovely but overworked. There only seemed to be 3 members of staff and they worked the reception, bar and restaurant all at the same time.
- grantbT6088DB (8/5): Comfortable night close to transport and Heathrow - It was our last night in England before flying home. The hotel is quiet and comfortable at a very affordable rate. It is located close to the train station, and is only about 20 minutes by taxi from Heathrow Airport. It also only a short train ride from Windsor. A great option for travellers.
- rickydJ6157QU (10/5): Flawless - The best hotel ive slept at in many year's i honestly xan not fault a single thing about this amazing stay the staff going above and beyond rooms are amazing I physically tried to find a fault dust anything there was not 1 issue im so impressed the bar staff lovely Louise was amazing going above and beyond amazing conversation feels like im at home with the warmth service you get amazing
- stanj269 (10/5): Home from home! - I am a frequent visitor here, almost every week... i come up for work purposes. The experience i receive here is like i am at home. I walk in, go to the bar, and inevitably have Tracy and Lou look after me, we catch up on family, I have wonderful service, and feel like i am just hanging out with friends. What a tribute to Premier Inn these ladies are.
- robhQ7164OC (10/5): Lovely stay - We had a lovely stay here for a family wedding at Hogarth hotel just up the road. We just had the standard room but it ticked all the boxes for us. Nice clean bedroom and bathroom, was really nice to have a walk in shower and not a bath.
Staff were friendly and welcoming and we couldn't ask for more.
We didn't eat here but there are some great places to eat in the surrounding area.
- 152coralm (10/5): Amazing service - The new menu came today & all i can say is oh my what lovely tasty food! Highly recommended. Staff are very polite too, very very friendly and helpful.
- veronica (4/5): - Parking arrangements are abominable - too far away to even consider bringing in the luggage. Having curry on the menu but no Rice? Hullo!
Dining room booth seats with old ratty tape holding them together is NOT acceptable.
- N1372DZmarks (4/5): Basil Faulty Hotel - When we arrived at the hotel at 11:30am, we had a pretty unwelcome check in experience as we were straight away told that check in doesn't open until 3pm, despite having paid for early check in from 11am. The lady checking us in disappeared into a back office and reappeared with our room cards. Being a member, I was a bit surprised by this and simply took the cards and went upstairs to the room. The next morning at breakfast, another lady serving and her manager told us off for not arranging breakfast at check in! All in all, I will not be staying here again
- PpollyR (4/5): Average experience - Basic, but comfortable bedroom. Extra pillows available. We ate at the hotel restaurant, and it was very disappointing. I would not eat there again.
- Rjforman123 (8/5): Good overnight stay - The hotel for the money was very good. Really modern rooms and a quiet area. The staff at the hotel are very friendly.
My only issues which is why I didn’t rate this full marks was
- the cleaning standards are slightly questionable with signs of dust and surfaces that hasn’t been clean but still acceptable.
- the Beefeater that appeared to have recently closed is very tired and sparse. They obviously need a restaurant for the hotel and just running this on very basic staff and facilities- all seemed slightly strange but breakfast was still adequate.
- roberttE7422OW (2/5): Strimmer damage in car park - Stayed at the Hockley Heath Premier Inn, Solihull for two nights while stopping to go to a wedding close by. On the morning of the second day i was informed by a member of staff that my car had been damaged by a landscape gardener who was carrying out work for premier Inn. I found the drivers window had been smashed by loose stone chippings on a dry grassed area next to my car by the gardener who was using a strimmer. The worker should not have been working in an area so close to my car and other vehicles parked outside the premier Inn. it was a disaster waiting to happen. Staff at the Premier Inn would not accept any responsibility for what happened even though they had been informed by the landscaper of the work that was going to be carried out in the car park area.
The landscape company made arrangements for my car window to be repaired but this could not be done until the morning of the following day when I was due to leave the Premier Inn.
I would advise anyone parking their car in the grounds of a Premier Inn to be careful where they park.
- lauramK3419VX (8/5): Good value and great service - Reception and breakfast staff were very helpful and friendly. Premier Plus rooms were lovely and worth the extra. Rest of the hotel was a bit worn, but the staff were great.
- 578adamn (10/5): Comfortable and affordable - Stopped here on business. Was greeted by the lovely Louise on reception. Very smiley and helpful. Room was very comfortable. The staff in the restaurant were rushed off their feet as staff levels seemed to be very low, but they were still all polite and helpful. The chef I believe was Anna who cooked a lovely mixed grill l.
- stevebintley (8/5): Everything you'd expect - Everything you’d expect from the chain and in a good location, this is a hotel I’d certainly stay in again. Although there’s plenty of dining options nearby it’s nice that the restaurant and bar inside is still a good size, with decent service and the food choices standard for the chain. My only issue was arriving outside of the standard checkin times - no staff available anywhere, impossible to get through the front door unless a guest inside exits and the whole place a ghost town - a shame no one actually seems to monitor the intercom at the entrance! Otherwise great value and I’ll be back!
- Roam277751 (8/5): Very good hotel - Experience was very good bed was excellent shower facilities ok wifi on point tv ok but the only problem i would say we had was the heating didn't work hence the fan in the room and the windows could have done with a clean & just a few cobwebs above the bed 😀
- Tour15460870282 (10/5): Great experience - Great location for Legoland, very clean, friendly and budget friendly. Needs were comfy, both kids ate free when I paid for breakfast, nice rock as a single dad!
- Rashid (6/5): - It says while booking that parking is free but actually it is not, guests are rushed to move the cars from free parking early morning else they woukd be charged a parking ticket.
- Q75VYns (4/5): My first experience with Premier Inn - Not a good experience in fact... The hotel is very very basic... In fact, not worth. Has no refrigerator or even a telephone in the room. Forget a bottle of water or a cabinet for clothes... Do I want to stay here again? No....
- Bec_xx2015 (10/5): Lovely location and friendly staff - Myself and my 8 year old had a lovely relaxed stay at hockley heath premier inn.
The staff we encountered were all friendly, helpful and attentive.
Special mention to Kate on reception who really went the extra mile for my daughter which made her stay here extra special and memorable so a big thank you to her.
Charlotte and Coral also stood out with their friendliness , all 3 staff evidently work very hard and are an asset to premier inn.
We will definitely stay again in the future.
Breakfast was lovely and always fully stocked, fresh and hot option cooked to order.
Room was cleaned when requested and location was perfect.
Car park spacious and never struggled to get a space when had been out for the day
- Leisure1972 (10/5): Brilliant!!,☺️☺️ - We booked for 2 nights, friendly welcome, told about car parking, we had to move the car the next day, but car park not far!! Rooms lovely and clean, Breakfast great, plenty of choice for everyone!! We had a meal at night, again good food, lovely friendly staff made the visit for us!! Thank you!!☺️☺️☺️
- Andrea (6/5): - Zimmer sind sauber und es ist ruhig. Personal geht so. Teil sehr fteundlich, teils eher genervt.
Freundliches Personal, sauber, gute Betten. Frühstück war ok.
