Guest Reviews
- RuthA1239 (10/5): Great visit! - Handy location only 10 mins walk from South Pier and close to the Pleasure Beach. Lots of new redecoration so it was looking lovely. Staff were really helpful throughout, particularly Josh in the restaurant.
- owen222 (6/5): The stay was OK - but the attached bar was a bit of a disappointment. - The usual good quality Premier Inn experience. We have stayed here before but prefer the fully booked North Pier one, due to it's location. However, here you have a free car park.
A short walk to the front - and the nearest Wetherspoons.
The room itself was fine, no issues and a good bathroom. Service - bob on.
However, is the new style of pub attached to a Premier Inn going to be the same as this? Not being able to go to the bar and order a pint? It seems really odd.
Breakfast was OK - not the best we've ever had but OK.
I'd probably stay there again, if I had to.
- 754mudasserz (10/5): Top ten hotel - My stay was brilliant at premier Inn Bridge street. The staff were all helpful and very polite. Top class service. Would reccommend anybody to stay here and Breakfast was Brilliant also. Rooms were very tidy and comfortable beds. Great for good night rest.
- ratchadaphonp (10/5): Nice and clean - Really quick and easy check in. The lady on reception was extremely friendly and checked me into the best room that suited my needs, I asked for a quiet room and this is what I got. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, as was the room.
- PeterandSandraTravel (10/5): Another lovely stay - Excellent stay, really helpful and friendly staff, rooms very clean. We had early check in as we had flown in to UK overnight, the staff pulled out all the stops to get a room sorted for us to have a rest
- 81tillys (10/5): 👍 - Very friendly staff, clean rooms and hallways + reception, quiet stay. Nice view and heater warms up the room well. Lovely and quiet breakfast
- catmA2168GL (10/5): Great stay - Lovely experience, staff knowledgeable and professional! I had a great time overall and I will happily come back soon.
- Finst4r (10/5): Friendly staff and clean - Quiet, clean, a well maintained room, welcoming staff, and convenient for the seafront (a short walk of perhaps 350m to the South Pier).
- R7843YTmattc (4/5): Great breakfast, nice staff, let down by no TLC in the hotel itself. - Hotel is looking very tired. Apparently it's been refurbished, not sure what the contractors actually do as it was being refurbished last year as well - only place that has been refurbished is the restaurant. Corridors grubby, the usual creaking of floorboards you find in premier inns over the past 20 years, not sure why they are unable to fix this in any of their hotels?
Avoid Room 23 - I guess it's okay for the money for a single night, but desperately in need of refurbishment and a deep. Smelt of damp. Radiator clicks for 5 minutes whenever it kicks in, woke me and our 4 year old up a few times.
We have a 4-month old baby and we're placed upstairs, which is far from ideal as the site has no lift.
Breakfast was wonderful, the restaurant is really nice and modern, the member of staff serving in the restaurant (November 24th) for breakfast is a credit to the site, the food was perfectly cooked so a damn good chef behind the scenes (think it was a female). The staff in the hotel were also welcoming. Car park is spacious and free (unusual in Blackpool but it's because it's a bit far out).
We may give it another go next year, if only to see if it's improved. The location wasn't ideal for our needs, but that's down to us not the fault of the hotel, so we will see.
- 715kj (2/5): Choose another company! Take my advice - I would rate this hotel zero if possible, and the company as a whole.
On a recent stay at this hotel there was a power outage, handle appallingly by the staff and customer services at Whitbread couldn't care less.
Don't make the mistake of having confidence in the good night guarantee, it means nothing, like the customer care team it is words that mean the nothing - if you've had an issue and they've had your money - they don't care.
- arisay2019 (10/5): Great value for money! - The location is excellent — close to New Street Station and within easy reach of most of Birmingham city centre. The room was clean, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming.
A very convenient and comfortable place to stay.
- andreah380 (10/5): Great stay - Had a great stay from the moment we arrived to leaving.
Staff very friendly and helpful. They couldn’t do enough for you. The girls all worked well together and had a great sense of humour especially Clare.
Yes there is building work going on, but never had any issues. The new refurbished restaurant is wow. The only little niggle I could say is I wished the food to be hotter. Apart from that 5 out of 5.
I would highly recommend this hotel and cannot wait to return.👍😊
- E4964MQwilliamf (4/5): Good location, expensive for the quality - We would not personally stay at this hotel again in future as the cleanliness, organisation, food and drinks choice were not up to the usual premier inn standard and certainly were not justified in the £90/night room cost for Blackpool.
The good however; the receptionist could not have done more to try resolve the issues we had initially, so kudos to her. I actually felt bad for her as she seemed up against a day of things going wrong so management may want to look into that as it didn't seem fair to land all the issues on the receptionist.
Location - we picked this hotel as we travelled down by train, so Blackpool south is only a 5 minute walk away. There's also a garage 1 minute walk from the hotel which had reasonably priced food/drinks thankfully, as the hotel did not have this. The breakfast was poor, with very little choice and bad tasting coffee/cups for drinks.
There was construction set up outside the hotel which did not impact us staying over the weekend, so this may be bringing much needed improvements to the facility.
Room wasn't the cleanest and we had to ask for duvet covers etc to make up the sofa bed ourselves (even though we booked a double & sofa room) so that wasn't ideal after a long travel to the hotel, so we just expected more from premier inn - and certainly more for the cost of the room per night as there was a lot of other options at around £20/30 per night.
- blackp640 (10/5): A clean, well-kept hotel in a calm location that offers good value - Very well maintained hotel. I liked the quiet and peaceful location. Food as well was tasty and satisfying
Overall balue for money.
- dn937 (10/5): Fantastic stay - I have stayed in this hotel multiple times in past and it’s always been excellent, team is super friendly and efficient ,close to all attractions
- Passport692711 (2/5): Terrible experience. - Arrived at 17:30 and was told that they couldn’t accommodate dinner until 19:30 as they ‘didn’t have the staff’. It’s pretty shocking that a hotel isn’t able to offer dinner service. Then was told that they made a mistake with my booking and could not accommodate the three of us as there was not other rooms available. Terrible experience and Will not be revisiting.
- 271joseo (2/5): The Worst Experience Ever – Stay Away! - Avoid this hotel at all costs. The staff are absolutely uncaring and unprofessional. I was trapped in the elevator for two hours, and no one seemed to care. I felt dreadful, claustrophobic, and stressed because I had an important meeting to attend. Despite crying out for help, someone only came after half an hour, and the technician didn’t arrive until an hour and a half later.
This was one of the worst days of my life, made even worse by the complete lack of empathy from the staff. Their indifference was shocking. Never again – stay far away from this place.
- Global66699428464 (10/5): Great stay - Room was clean and tidy. Location is great and is an easy walk to the city centre. The staff were extremely friendly, especially the receptionist who was very welcoming.
- X7083FHandyc (10/5): Great receptionist - I was there on business with 9 other engineers. When we arrived Tracey the receptionist had already checked us all in all we had to do was give our names so each room could be allocated. Tracey preparation made the whole checking in experience painless and fast she was brilliant.
- C4878ROannao (10/5): Great sleep and good location - Stayed with my mum for a night out. Great location right in the city centre. Everything was good and had a great night sleep, very comfortable. Dinner and breakfast was hot and fresh.
- Freedom23808755729 (10/5): Lovely stay - We had a great time at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in November 2025. We experienced a warm welcome from the staff at the Premier Inn and the food was good - fresh and good quality. The bed was very comfortable, the room was more than adequate. The hotel was quiet and nice in all regards! There was a good variety at breakfast, which was very good quality and Josh in the restaurant was just brilliant. Very friendly, funny and professional. Parking was easy and right next to the hotel, so all good. 10 minute walk into Blackpool Pleasure Beach (South Pier end of Blackpool).
- tgbhotw (6/5): Nice hotel but no air conditioning - The hotel and room were clean and comfortable, usual Premier Inn standard, and breakfast was good. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the room which was too warm overnight so we didn't sleep well (and this was in November). The windows only open a few cm. There was a large fan in the room which should have been a clue! I wouldn't recommend in the summer months. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.
- puneethn2025 (10/5): Pretty Good - It was a great experience staying here for a day. Staff was very cooperative and friendly. Food was descent. I would definitely recommend this to mu friends and family if they are in this locality any time.
- deekshithn2025 (10/5): Great experience staying here - All good , the room was clean and spacious and the staff were great. Had good breakfast and dinner as well. Over all it’s a great experience .
- ianhealey (10/5): Very Convenient and Great Service. Position ideal for getting around Blackburn and friendly staff. - Nice and easy to get to from the train station and centrally located for easy onward travel. Katy was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Recommended.
- peterdN8931TW (10/5): Fantastic - Very clean rooms,
Staff always on hand and helpful.
Good sturdy mattress, And a decent breakfast.
Loved my stay
Thanks team
- RHHUK (4/5): Not usual Premier Inn Standard. - Not up to usual premier in. Standard. The room was dirty. Huge cobwebs. Never seen this before. They’re usually spotless. The room was tiny and the bed was old and sunken. The bedding was horrible hospital like bedding. Hard and scratchy. The room was tired and not like your usual experience. We were above reception and couldn’t have our window open as it just stalking smoke from smokers outside reception. Also woken by taxis arriving and the persons alarm next door.
I really wouldn’t recommend or stay again. There was no one on reception to speak to to give feedback when leaving and I wouldn’t normally leave a negative review without feedback but I wasn’t given the opportunity and when filling in their feedback from they asked if I wanted to leave a review her…so here it is! Try one of the other ones in Birmingham!
- vincevincee (4/5): Dirty - The rooms were run down and filthy, dirty/stained sheets. The car park is not clearly signed and it is not "directly opposite the hotel". Honestly didn't think Premier Inns existed like this.
- niklas (10/5): - .
- natashaoE4875MB (8/5): Good but needs improvements - Attended this hotel as a last min get away really friendly reception staff clean room and tasty breakfast
Only thing that let this place down was a power cut - middle of my daughters shower it went pitch black - asked staff if there was any torches - no one came back to me!
- DhRsJ (6/5): Weekend in Blackpool - Great access from the M55 and distance to the tram along the promenade.
Room was tired looking and tea facilities as usual for premier inn, very poor.
Asked for a walk in shower room, but had all the facilities for disability. Only one bedside table, a double bed instead ofxa king-size and no storage for non-hanging clothes. Food mediocre, usual pub menu available.
- rock_30 (8/5): Great premier inn - Great stay at the Premier Inn. Very helpful and friendly staff - they went out of their way to provide us with a great stay. Excellent location with easy walk to New Street station, city centre, canals and the arena but quiet. Only quibble is that it was quite hot in the room with no Aircon which must be a common complaint as we also had a fan in the room. Overall would stay again when in Birmingham
- gracetP1377EZ (10/5): Excellent stay, great value for money - lovely view from window - Excellent location. Very friendly staff. Comfortable room with all facilities needed, and great view from the window.
- kyleaK6284CH (10/5): Premier Inn Blackpool Beach, lovely time - Very calm location / atmosphere plenty of parking and our room was really clean and well prepared (thank you Leah). Very friendly staff, would come back and recommend to others!
- lucybH4588RH (10/5): An amazing time at Blackpool Beach Hotel - The Room was lovely very clean , the bed was sooo comfy . would 100% recommend. We had an Amazing time . staff were really lovely and accommodating too
- emmarathon (10/5): Great family stay - Perfect one night stay. Friendly helpful staff at check in and check out. The hotel was full the night we stayed, but it didn't feel like that. We had a family room on the upper floor and it was huge. Really quiet too - we all slept very well. Have to say, we'd the fear that a Blackpool hotel might be full of revellers, but this wasn't our experience at all.
We were too late trying to book dinner so sadly missed out. Did take away drinks later that night, and bar staff were superb, chatty and helpful.
Breakfast was ideal, great value esp the free kids meals!
We were there to visit the Sandcastle and Pleasure Beach. We walked to and from both during the day and it was fine. At night however we walked to the illuminations and it wasn't the best walk - dark and quiet. Maybe wouldn't rush to do that again!
Car parking plentiful. Handy having the petrol stn shop and Greggs beside the hotel.
- MrsDML (10/5): Fantastic hotel for visiting Blackpool - We have stayed in this premier inn 3 times now .
Our youngest granddaughter absolutely loves it .
Location is second to none, 10 minutes walk to South pier , trams , pleasure beach.
Staff are always friendly .
Very clean rooms and sofa bed set up ready.
Fast hot shower and huge towels .
Very quiet, free parking, just perfect.
My only criticism is the air con is not working, which was tough in the summer.
- kierand427 (8/5): Very good premier inn - Premier inn , was a very good hotel to stay and would go back , rooms good breakfasts excellent and staff very polite......
- andrewdG6564KI (6/5): Good location but needs improving! - Reception was busy when we arrived (1 person on the desk and none of the self check-ins were working). The room was very hot, even with the window fully opened. This hotel has no air conditioning but “climate control”… it doesn’t work so it might as well have nothing!
The bathroom has a shower-over-bath, which is usually fine, except the high end of the bath is too high and has a steep fall towards the plug, making it awkward to get in and out of… my fiancée nearly fell over getting out!
The bed was absolutely awful! The pillows provided no support, even using 2 of them. I’ve stayed in other Premier Inns and the bed is usually fine, not this time! 3 nights with barely any sleep is more than enough!
There is some work being done but during the day, which is fine. Apart from the last day, we didn’t hear them so at least they’re keeping noise to a minimum.
- N2693DZchrish (10/5): Louise, Tasha & Norma, Exceptional staff members - Stayed here on a work trip. Absolutely wonderful staff a the restaurant. Louise, Tasha & Norma who was serving us all evening were very polite and professional.
- jordb914 (10/5): Fantastic Service - Staying away for work and couldn’t recommend a better premier inn . Louise , Norma and Tasha were fantastic with the service and very friendly. A credit to the company .
- 55Dizzy32 (8/5): Great location, very comfortable rooms, lovely view of the cathedral - Location was perfect, very central to all amenities. Hotel and room were up to the usual Premier Inn high standards, very clean, quiet and comfortable. Only disappointment was the breakfast. Definitely not up to their usual standard. It was semi-warm, with bacon being hard and cold, and the black pudding, which I usually love, tasted awful. Otherwise our stay would’ve been a 5.
- tracysZ5330MJ (8/5): Well positioned for ease of access - Easy access to Brindley place and short walk into town. We received a lovely welcome on arrival. There was even security checks on a night, which made me feel safer.
- Glitzy67 (8/5): Great Place to stay - We have stayed in this premier inn several times. Lovely position easy to get to the shops and to restaurants as well as Arena for shows.
- L1699RFmariel (10/5): Good premier inn - Good location, clean hotel and rooms. Restaurant was good with good choices. Reasonably priced. Accessible bathroom was ideal with chair in shower if needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
- david_bilsland (4/5): Poor service overall - 3 nights stay. Room was never cleaned or towels replaced. Breakfast was fully cancelled for one morning and I have yet to receive a refund
- Excursion55548675802 (8/5): Very friendly staff. - Over all this was a great hotel in it's price range. We thought twice about booking after a bad experience at Southampton city centre hotel but this was much better. All of the staff we polite and welcoming. I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Birmingham.
- 567brigidc (8/5): Friendly staff - Such friendly staff especially Bernie.
Man on Reception made us coffee with a snack while we waited for our rooms to be ready
- FarAway27903048582 (10/5): Really relaxing, enjoyable stay. - We’ve stayed at the Blackburn Town Centre Prem a few times now and have never been disappointed.
Staff, especially Leanne & Kate were excellent.
Room was well presented and clean.
The meals we had were very good (breakfast could have been a little hotter)
All in all… another good experience and we’ll definitely be back.
- lesleytW611HI (10/5): Perfec5 - Hey I stayed here for 2 nights on the 17th of September I am a solo traveller the people that worked there went above and beyond for me i had evening meal which was delicious and the girls let me leave my luggage while I collected my tickets at the train station a big thumbs up for all there hard work thanks for making my stay bearable
- suehY2994CY (10/5): Definitely stay again - Excellent value, exceptionally comfortable bed, brilliant shower, very clean, staff great , food gorgeous and an excellent view of Blackburn Cathedral
- 647shaheenp (6/5): Decent stay with some improvements. - Our stay at Premier Inn Blackburn Town Centre was decent. Service from checking in to checking out was good. The bath and bed was clean. Good view of Blackburn Town Centre alongside the cathedral. Although, the WIFI was very slow which is expected at a standard Premier Inn unless you purchase their Premium WIFI for a couple of £ more. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling which wasn't appeasing. The bed was comfortable enough for 1 night. Overall, a decent stay in Blackburn with some improvements needed for their rooms. We didn't have breakfast there so can't give feedback on that.
- C1332UBfrankiem (10/5): 5* review - Very nice staff they wear super kind and helpful we came to check in and there was a little wait but because of the wait they gave us a room with a view which was greatly appreciated. We then asked if we could get book another night and they helped get us in the same room and did that and gave us towels and pillows etc. we then left later that morning to get food and we left our keycard as we left at different times and came back but left the keycard and they instantly gave us a new one now we’re in the room which was great that there was no wait for the key. The names that were on the badge was Filip and jeely was the housekeeps and made our 2 night stay great. Thank you so much.
- FarAway46804224935 (10/5): Excellent 👌 - Good base location for Liverpool Blackpool and Lake District
day trips . We enjoyed our stay very much the food was great and good restaurants nearby for dinner choices
- 495kevinr (2/5): Grubby rooms - You normally know what you're going to get with Premier Inn, but this one was particularly grubby. Walls had something splashed up them (coffee/cola - I hope!) crumbs on chairs, carpets appeared not to have been vacuumed. Bed was OK and we'd arrived late after an early morning and a delayed flight so we just wanted to sleep.
- K8675MPmichellet (6/5): night guy rude - Forgotten towels no spare pillow and not been hoovered under the bed this happens i know as a Whitbread employee myself .
came back from being out to get a drink from the bar to find the night guy asleep on the chairs and we had to wake him up said we had a bad day we all get them hence the reason i was in Blackburn anyway i found him very rude waited 10 mins to get a drink i could understand it if it was busy but we were the only ones there so gave up in the end and went back to our room
- terrye982 (10/5): A awesome experience. - Very warm welome made the visit great fro mthe start. Had dinner on the first night and food was excellant. Room was big and comefortable and bed was lovely. Given the weather the air con was a god-send and worked briliantly.
Breakfast was excellant and the entire experience was first rate.
- hurdn99 (6/5): Average stay with a few areas of concern - Average stay with a few areas of concern. Sounds like nit-picking, but it's the little things that matter.
Firstly, the room had an odd smell about it. We wedged the door open for an hour and that helped a bit. The carpet had a hole in it around the bed leg. The soap dispensers in the bathroom had dried soap around the necks and just looked a bit dirty. Worst of all was that the bath didn't drain very well owing to clumps of hair that we had to pull out of the plug hole. A bit grim, that one.
Also some of the bowls at breakfast had dried-on bits obviously from a dirty dishwasher.
On a more positive note the staff were friendly and helpful, it just felt that someone had taken their eye off the ball.
Oh, and the car park is across the road and not well signposted (obscured by trees and bushes). We went round the block several times before finding it.
Overall didn't feel like the experience the adverts on tv promise and didn't think it was particularly good value for money.
- 262rachelleb (10/5): Lovely welcome - Lovely warm welcome, the room was comfortable and quiet. The staff were helpful . Breakfast was good too, with good options.
- RayZaraMaya (8/5): Business stay. - Standard fare from a Premier Inn. Doesn't look as good as their advert photo. Very pleasant stay in clean simple rooms. Staff were really friendly and the food was excellent.
Would definitely recommend 👌
- markaM7266ZV (10/5): Rainy Blackburn - What can I say the staff at the hotel were very polite and helpful and the room was very clean and well stocked up on towls and toilet paper and most important of all tea and coffee the bed was comfortable and clean and fresh as what I expectedlike the rest of the hotel
