The staff are super friendly and helpful - Serban who hosts the breakfast area at weekends is very helpful and efficient and the regular chefs Shane & Cristi always cook a very tasty breakfast.
• V3934AYnatalied (10/5): Amazing experience - We arrived late on a friday night after a nightmare hotel elsewhere. The staff were so lovely on arrival and ensured we had everything we needed. We then booked for an additional night and the staff supported us to stay in the same room and the communication between shift patterns was amazing so we had no issues when we had to pick up new keys. The room was immaculate. Bed super comfy. When asking for extra towels, plates so we could eat etc, the staff were friendly and accommodating. With the window shut the room was silent despite being on a busy road. Parking was so simple and available with no issues- staff even reminded us to put it on for the next day so we didnt get a ticket. Could not fault the experience we had.

• madcheninuniform (2/5): Stinker of a hotel - In reception there was a disgusting smell - like eggy sewage - which travelled a long way down the corridor towards our room. I had to hold my breath, it was rank. Not a great start! Then when we got to our room, we saw our bed was higher at the foot than at the head. I thought I was going mad, but my partner and son agreed that it definitely wasn’t level, even after we had untucked the duvet from under the mattress. We used a spirit level app on my partner’s phone, which said the gradient was 6%. I went to speak to the receptionist about it, and she looked at me as if I was from another planet, like she couldn’t really understand what I was saying. I said it would be hard for anyone to sleep in a bed at that angle, and we were not getting what we had paid for, but she couldn’t suggest any way of helping, except to stuff some towels under the mattress. She said she was the only member of staff on site, so she couldn’t even come and look at the bed. And there were no rooms left which could accommodate the three of us, so she couldn’t give us another room. So my partner and I rotated the mattress which helped a little but one end was still higher than the other. At this point we also noticed that whoever made the bed had put the duvet in the cover the wrong way round so it didn’t fit widthways and was bunched up on each side. So we put the duvet cover on straight, only to find it was about 40cm too short for the duvet, and there was a big section hanging out the end. In addition, the bottom sheet wasn’t big enough to cover the whole mattress, and the pillows stuck out the ends of the pillow cases. So basically none of the bed linen fitted the bedding. In the end we had a terrible night’s sleep. What a waste of money.
• kengY2394TG (6/5): Good hotel but couldnt sleep!! - The hotel is fine. No issues with cleanliness or customer service. However I couldnt get a decent night sleep because the corridor doors and room doors slam so loudly they shook my room. To make things worse I was staying right next to a corridor door. My advice to anyone staying here is do not get a room next to a corridor door, they will wake you up. This is a simple issue that the hotel should have fixed by now. Also in the winter, the ground rooms are absolutely freezing when you enter and take some time to warm up.
• lynned177 (10/5): Best breakfast ever, Use Sat nav for Harvester next door - Typical clean room, friendly staff, handy Harvester pub next door. However, I must single out the breakfast for a mention. I regularly stay in Premier Inns, but this has to be the best breakfast I've ever had. It was cooked to perfection and plentiful. Wish I'd got the chefs name to accolade him. Only negative of our stay was that it's a nightmare to find using Sat Nav - we ended up on a housing estate then at a dead end. Both the one on hotel address and the alternative advised, sent us on a wild goose chase (40 mins in the dark!) I did report it to reception and she said other people who'd just arrived said the same!! I suggest using the directions for the Harvester which is virtually adjoined.

• caronm91 (10/5): Great Base - Very well situated near the Railway station between The Pantiles and the town centre. Easy check in and the room has everything you need for a short stay. Spotlessly clean. Plenty of hot water and the toiletries are soap and shampoo and the heating was good. Very quiet nights sleep. The breakfast was nice and fresh but could be warmer. Staff were, without fail, very friendly and helpful. A credit to the company. Would recommend and would stay again.
• curlymos (10/5): It was surprising how really GOOD this hotel is. - Staying for 2 nights to experience the Motor Bke Show at NEC and visit Coventry. The Premier Plus room Is really worth the price.. very spacious and comfy. All the staff we met were supeer friendly and helpful. A BIG shout out for Shane in the breakfast room. He greeted everyone with a smile and provided excellent quality food very efficiently... probably the best breakfasst atmosphere i have experienced in this kind of venue.

• 377traceyc (10/5): A great place to stay if you want to explore Tunbridge Wells - Centrally located, this hotel is perfect for a stay in Tunbridge Wells. The staff cannot be faulted, without exception the ones we came into contact with were polite, friendly, and efficient. The hotel is clean and cost effective. We've eaten in the restaurant a couple of times and the food is good value for money.

The hotel is perfectly located round the corner from the high street and the railway station. The town is a beautiful place to walk round and the common is straight opposite the hotel. The rooms were clean and tidy as were the dining room and bar area. The staff were friendly if a bit busy on the first night but looked after us well. Would book again as the location is great

It has become our home everytime we decide to go out and we have our favorite spacious room that we are always given as a choice, Its always clean and really new and fresh. The staff are lovely, chatting and very helpful. Breakfast is nice and lots of choice. Thanks Lili for cleaning our favorite room this weekend.

In the restaurant, there was only one girl serving and one cook, but she did everything she could to accommodate everyone. Unfortunately, management didn’t appear until breakfast was nearly finished. Our booked table wasn’t ready, and we had to wait for hot food. Just as we started eating, breakfast items were being cleared away. A nice hotel overall, but restaurant staffing and organisation need improvement

• deborahgO1901HA (10/5): Comfortable and enjoyable stay - We have stayed here multiple times and the rooms are always spotless and good value for money. The blackout curtains are amazing because I thought I had woken around 4am (a regular occurrence) but it turned out to be 8.30am, so I slept really well. This was the first time we opted for breakfast and we were both really impressed with the continental option. Very fresh and tasty. The biggest plus was the breakfast host, Serban. He was very friendly and helpful and was a bright ray of sunshine which gave us a lovely start to the day.

The hotel looks a bit tired and shows wear and tear not enough to put us off but its not as good as our early visits.

• gloriaoP4890NZ (2/5): Disappointing Stay — Would Not Recommend - If there were an option to give zero stars, I would have chosen it. The Queen room was extremely small, making it difficult to move around the beds. Upon arrival, the bedroom and bathroom floors appeared unclean, and the shower showed visible stains. The room was poorly designed, with a single main switch controlling both the bedroom and bathroom lights — meaning the toilet and bedside lamps would not work if the main switch was turned off. Breakfast was basic and repetitive, serving the same items daily: bacon, sausages, eggs, and hash browns. One morning, the fresh fruit was noticeably stale, likely from the previous day. The window was frosted or blurred, so there was no outside view, and the toilet seat was loose and uncomfortable. The most disappointing part of my stay occurred on checkout day. I had requested a late checkout the evening before, but shortly after 12 p.m., I received a knock on the door from a staff member, Karitha, informing me that I was past my checkout time. I explained that I had arranged for a late checkout around 1 or 2 p.m., but she insisted that I go to reception to make payment before continuing to pack. At reception, I spoke with Kaashef, who claimed there were no notes on my account about the request. He eventually agreed to extend the checkout to 1 p.m at no charge, but I had already wasted time going back and forth. When I returned to my room, my key no longer worked, forcing me to go back downstairs again. He admitted that the key hadn’t been updated properly. Due to this delay, I finally checked out at past 1pm at no charge. This unnecessary back-and-forth over a $10-per-hour late checkout fee was both frustrating and unprofessional. Overall, this hotel has several operational and maintenance issues that need serious attention. I would not recommend staying here.
• grahamsD5950TF (10/5): Friendly staff member - After a slightly hard check in the rest of the experience was really good and mostly due to the friendly and helpful Lucy. After staying in many premier inns were staff barely make an effort or smile it was great to have a happy smiley staff member serving me. No matter what task she was doing Lucy was great and an asset to the hotel. The food was better quality than most premier inns too.

• W7846TLchrisj (10/5): Brillian customer service especially in the dining room. - The hotel is located by the busy A12 however the rooms are very quiet with no traffic noise. The hotel has its own adequate residents car park but you can also use the adjacent car park on the same site that they share with the Toby Inn pub. The pub carpark is locked between 11.00 pm and 7.00am. On arrival we were greeted by the friendly receptionist who also carried my partners case up the stairs for her. Our bedroom and bathroom were both immaculately clean and everything in the room worked as it should. We had breakfast in the dining room which was spotlessly clean. The tables were laid out with polished cutlery all precisely placed on serviettes. We were warmly greeted by the lovely chef Patricia who showed us where everything was located, enquired how we would like our eggs cooked, explaining that she would cook them to order when we were ready. (Which she did to perfection). During the meal she checked that all was OK. She obviously takes great pride in her work and is an asset to the hotel with her dedication and commitment to customer service.

• Scenic59706638504 (4/5): Overpriced and falling apart! - Check-in ok, the room was clean but like a sweatbox, two fans were in the room but were simply blowing hot air round the room, this hotel desperately needs aircon, I have stayed in many hotels over the years and this one is amongst the worst, the bath panel was delaminating and so was the inspection hatch next to the sink, the skirting board was rotten next to the bath, the toilet paper was the worst I have ever used, you get better in a motorway service station, considering the cost per night, this one is awful!
• Jly1606 (10/5): Good hotel - We stayed here as we were invited to all evening reception near by. The rooms were clean and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed our unlimited breakfast, and thank you to Anette for the lovely fried egg! Just note in the summer months the rooms are super hot regardless of the two fans. As you can't fully open the windows the heat can't escape.
• Nathalie (10/5): Very good hotel - Very nice hotel to stay in Tunbridge Wells. Close enough to the centre so that you don't need your car. The hotel and our room were very clean. There is a public car park very close to the hotel so it's easy to park even though you can't really do do at the hotel.

The carpers look brown. The corridor is dingey. Never again. I could not wait to check-out. I can do basic but it has to be clean.

All the staff have been so helpful and lovely but a big shout out to Anette for the best cooked breakfast we have had in any Premier Inn and indeed in many other hotels. We will certainly be returning especially when driving as the car parking is great. Location is good. 300m to a bus that takes you to Newbury Park tube on the central line that takes you to the heart of London.
