Guest Reviews
- Weslieo81 (10/5): Helpful staff(Jane). Luxurious bed 216 - Honestly I've never come across such a helpful member of staff. I was explaining to Jane at reception that the carpet in my room felt slightly bristley when I walked across it to get into bed. She offered to arrange for someone to come and comb it all back down and then steam it so it was soft on my bare feet. I turned the offer down as I was so looking forward to just climbing into my luxurious bed that felt like it was being held up by a hundred cherubs and had a mattress made out of sumptuous eider down and cotton wall wrapped in a coating of relaxing silk happiness. It made me feel like I was slipping into paradise as I closed my eyes and drifted away.
Jane stated that she was pleased I had enjoyed my previous nights sleep and again reiterated her offer to have the carpet serviced and asked if there was anything else I needed. She even said that there was a special service for guests like me where some men in white coats come and collect me and take me away for an extended holiday 😂😂.
All joking aside. A cracking hotel and Jane was super helpful
- Excursion43018531418 (10/5): Everything you need and with a smile - Great stay room very clean and big! Not sure ive had a room that big before. Young girl on reception blonde curly hair sorry didn't get her name she was really helpful got me an iron and board, booked breakfast and gave me restaurant times but I was meeting friends. Quiet hotel
- billywizz68 (10/5): A well run, clean and quiet hotel - A lovely modern Premier Inn. Clean, well organised with lovely staff. Great for a visit to Newcastle if you want to stay close but not pay the prices of hotels in the centre on a football day. A quiet location despite being close the the A1. The rooms were very clean and even had USB sockets in room which you still don't get in some of the older Premier Inns- helpful if you have forgotten your adapter...
- nta_11 (10/5): Great room, warm, clean comfortable - Welcomed by a great hotel desk person named Teressa. Friendly helpful and efficient.
The information teressa had was brilliant.
The reception area was tidy and well presented.
The room was fab, overall my whole experience was top dollar.
- D4875XYnicolev (10/5): Lovely reception from Jane! - Lovely and friendly reception from Jane! Thank you so much… you so helpful and knowledgeable about the area. A great way to start the weekend.
- Celia120 (10/5): We were visiting family locally for 6 nights - A fabulous experience. We were cared for by a super friendly efficient team.
Our room was clean comfortable and quiet.
The food at breakfast and dinner was particularly tasty and great value for money.
An easy walk into the town.
- 529jodieo (10/5): Great! - Stay here often for work for the week. All rooms have been renovated and are lovely very modern with everything you could need. The breakfast room is new and big with all you can eat cooked and buffet.
The staff here are very helpful in particular Tanya. Every time I come she goes over and above, she is thorough and nothing is a problem for her. I would like to give a special thanks to her for Making my stay nice, when I’m working away from home.
The Toby carvery in the car park is brilliant always busy and very warm and comforting.
There is always car parking spaces and you do not have to pay for the car park which is a massive difference to all the other Premier inns, that can be up to £20 a night on top of your room stay.
- cunningham2024 (8/5): No digital radio on the TV - Very nice hotel. Good location. BUT NO digital radio on the TV. A real pain in the butt. This is the only Premier Inn that i can recall with no digital radio.
- D5278ZHlindseym (10/5): Great location, Great staff - Great hotel location was perfect, clean rooms with a warm welcome from all staff special shout out to the manager Lianne who went above and beyond all with a huge smile.
Highly recommend we will definitely be back
- jasongL8469OH (10/5): Business stay - Welcomed on arrival at front desk by the very polite and friendly Teresa, she dealt with my booking and table booking for the restaurant and changed the batteries in my tv remote with a smile on her face,
Very good room , clean and comfortable, evening meal in the restaurant was excellent,
- 797hs (8/5): Exactly what we needed. - Very friendly staff and the comfiest bed Ive ever slept in. Check in and out easy, parking fantastic. Breakfast good but pastries not always topped up. I would definitely stay again x
- foghorn172017 (8/5): Up to their usual high standard - Positives:- Good price, good location, friendly helpful staff, great breakfast, clean and tidy, comfortable beds, if there was something additional you wanted you only had to ask.
Negatives;- Not much hanging space if staying a few days and the rooms can get very hot with no means of cooling them. Windows do not open and the minimum temp setting is 19 degrees
- teresapU2458EG (8/5): Stop over - We stayed for 1 night before moving further up north. We found the room more than adequate for our needs, bed was really comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpful, Teresa was on the night we stayed and explained everything before we made our way to our room. We did not use the restaurant for breakfast.
- michaelhZ9990IM (10/5): Lovely nights stay - When we came in we were welcomed by Teresa who was very welcoming. In the night there was no outside noise and slept like a log. Room was very clean. Tv worked, bathroom was nice and made a tea with amenities provided. Overall great staff, lovely breakfasts, clean rooms and great value for money.
- 497malcolmb (8/5): A comfortable stay - We stayed here as a couple for two nights. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and well soundproofed, but with limited space to hang clothes. The food available in the restaurant was simple but very tasty. There was a good choice of food at the breakfast buffet. Overall we consider it to have been good value for money.
- Z2387SUstevep (10/5): Perfect - Ideally located just off A1. Great parking, convenience of onsite and local hospitality. Attentive staff. Comfortable room with more than adequate amenities.
- vickiec267 (10/5): Best hotel I've stayed in for a long time!! - It's not often I stay in hotels in the UK, but this place is by far 1 of the nicest I've ever stayed. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the rooms are great with most amenities you could need, like wifi, an ironing board, hairdryer, fridge and lots of plugs and sockets where you actually need them, plus the beds were so comfortable that I didn't want to get out! They were so accommodating, nothing was a problem and they even had gluten free bread for the breakfast which had such a good selectionas and being coeliac I really appreciated that. But a special mention must go to Janice on reception because she was so professional, kind, courteous and helpful! 10 out of 10 easily!!! Can't wait to return!!
- Vic_Tye (8/5): Fab as always but sort your food ordering! - As the title suggests :)
Had a lovely stay at this Premier Inn. The staff are a credit and the room was lovely and clean and a good size for my family (4) BUT
Half of the menu was unavailable, in this day and age that's not really acceptable, especially at the price for dinner that Premier Inn are charging.
Ran out of steak, no prawns, no soup, some desserts too
It did highlight the issue when we ate at a restaurant in Wadebridge and it was considerably cheaper & everything available
- Companion00341182842 (10/5): great stay - the room was a little small but really nice and the staff here were the absolute kindest. the view and the bathroom were both really good too
- ASM1968 (10/5): Very pleasant stay - I stay at Premier Inns very frequently and like this hotel chain. After the stay in the Premier Inn Team Valley, I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of our Premier Plus room. Again very spacious with fridge and coffee machine as advertised. The room and bathroom were both clean and the bed very comfortable. The only drawback was that they didn’t have an in-house restaurant and we would have had to go to Tobey Carvery next door. Not a big fan of Tobey Carvery so we didn’t eat there. There aren’t many places to eat in Washington and many were closed on a Monday. Breakfast was served in a small area of the hotel but the buffet was well stocked and the food fresh. I can’t find fault with this Premier Inn other than missing an in-house restaurant. I was very pleased with our stay and would return again.
- V6822LUdavidf (10/5): I had a good night in a comfy bed. Well pleased. - A good tidy clean room. Well presented. Quiet and pleasant location.
The stay was absolutely fine.
Alas despite turning down the thermostat to 15 deg C, it was 19.5 deg all night, and that was with the window open and 11 deg outside. So it was a tad warm for me.
But I had a good night in a comfy bed. Well pleased.
- 491eliciap (10/5): Stop Over on the way to Scotland. - Lovely comfortable stay. The room was spotlessly clean. Bed was super comfortable. No noise from corridor or outside the hotel.
Perfect location for travelling to other parts of the UK just off the A1M.
Would definitely return again.
Thanks Premier Inn 😊
- vanessae945 (8/5): Just right for one night on a journey south - Very comfortable bed and quiet. The shower worked well and the water was hot. Staff were helpful and friendly. No complaints
- W7149IEstevenf (10/5): Night out - First class service, staff excellent service, went above and beyond to help with a small problem that i had. Can't thank them enough.
- christinewV1193ZJ (10/5): Amazing stay - This was the best Premier Inn we have stayed in, lovely room & bathroom with a walk-in shower & very clean. Breakfast was good & the staff were helpful & friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
- MJStavrou (10/5): Great place to stay the night - not far from Durham University - The mattress was incredibly comfortable extra pillows were available.
The staff were all amazingly helpful and friendly staff. A special thank you to David!
- lindacE3017BA (10/5): Helpful stafg - Very handy location. Cleanliness was very good in all areas been in white a few premier inns. It's one of the best it's nice to be able to eat in the hotel
- L1254IPrichardc (10/5): Very good value - Clean and friendly. Very good value for money. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the staff were very friendly
- MichaelWaring (10/5): Staff here are wonderful - The staff at Washington Premier Inn make the stay there very pleasant indeed.
They are all more than happy to do anything they can to help.
Having staff like that puts this hotel at the very top!
- iantS4488UZ (10/5): Welcoming - ——————-The Staff are very welcoming and Jane had such a friendly and lovely soul. May She will be blessed and her family.
- Roam49092933460 (10/5): Very happy with my stay - I have stayed in many Premier Inns and this was one of the best.
I rang a few days beforehand and asked for a quiet top floor room as I had a long drive before and after my stay. When I arrived at the hotel a very friendly, polite young man remembered speaking to me on the phone and had sorted that out for me.
The room was very quiet, clean and comfy.
Parking was easy.
Easy access to the A1.
Tony carvery just next door so easy to get food and a pint.
- cressiday (10/5): Great stay and staff - I like a premier inn but this was a great one! Rooms were lovely, clean and quiet and there was plenty of parking. Breakfast was lovely and Sharon couldn’t do enough to help; she even brought me a freshly fried egg when there were none left. Highly recommended!
- K1919QZandyc (10/5): Simply fantastic service! Very homely! - The hotel is like many Premier Inn hotels or similar branded hotels. However, one thing that makes it stand out from the rest … is the exemplary service received from the attentive and welcoming staff .
We travel often with our family and typically need to stay in similar hotels around 20 times a year. We’ve never had better service than here at Washington.
At breakfast time, we were welcomed in and served by such lovely people. The lady and gentleman running the restaurant and cooking the breakfast were so pleasant and genuinely very impressive.
Yes the rooms are nice, clean and modern but the breakfast experience turned our rather simple and quick stay into a really positive experience that we just don’t seem to get nowadays. They clearly live their job and it was almost as though it was their hotel, their restaurant and not just a branded hotel.
We would definitely stay again without question… our whole family were in total agreement that this is the best Premier Inn they’ve ever stayed in (and they have been to many).
- paulwH529OG (6/5): Disappointed in the room. - Disappointed in the room, several things that we would normally expect be be in as standard were missing, not even a drawer to put your clothes in, probably ok if you were only staying a night but not ideal if staying a few days.
- JacciJJRowe (10/5): Incredible customer service - Jane and Caroline the receptionists are incredible, Jane is really nice and caring, she’s very happy to help no matter what, nothing is to hard and she does it with a smile! Caroline is really lovely and very pretty 😊 I would highly recommend this premier inn, it’s nice and clean and has its one little shop at the front. Five stars, thank you.
- Fearless16385903195 (10/5): Family visit - 217 brilliant stay all staff wonderful, room was very clean, bed comfortable and had a lovely sleep. Restaurant staff lovely and friendly especially Joanne with my special needs daughter!!!.
- sr12eve (8/5): Easy access- Fantastic Staff - Easy access location, GREAT staff.
Chosen primarily for access from our homes and to the points we wished to visit.
This premier inn would benefit from more disabled access rooms ( reducing by 50% was a step backwards).
The rooms were well enough equipped, but perhaps at least one bed would benefit from replacing. I really don't expect to feel mattress buttons.
The stand-out point was the charm and efficiency of our evening manager/receptionist. Nothing was too much effort, and any request had a solution ( except changing to another accessible room). Great customer service and an absolute asset to this hotel. She made our two night stay (Sunday and Monday) as easy as possible.
Because of her, I would consider staying again, although the B & B rate could compare better with other operators.
- L2652FEchrism (10/5): Amazing staff & service, could not fault. - Just spent 2 nights here and could not have been any better.
All staff very friendly and efficient, reception, breakfast and chef .
Room was spotless and wi-fi good throughout the building.
Breakfast was excellent and plenty of choices.
5 star review for a 5 star service.
- 789ihm (8/5): Short business trip - Short business trip
Decent rooms for functionality and clean with decent shower etc.
Good breakfast that start's early.
Plenty of parking.
Evening meal was chaotic on one day but good on the next...
- 638markd (2/5): The room stank of marijuana; the customer service was terrible - We booked a family room for a night. Having checked in, we collected our room card, walked to the room, opened the door and were greeted by the stench of dope. The room stank of marijuana.
The smell was so bad, we returned to reception and asked if we could be moved to a different room. The woman on reception (Paige) told us that there was no other room as they were full. She said that they knew that the room stank of dope, telling us that "Josh let 3 people in last night and they smoked weed" and that they hadn't been able to get rid of the smell. No apology. No offer to help.
It was up to us to suggest that our booking be transferred to a different Premier Inn. That took about three quarters of an hour for the receptionist to sort out.
Terrible customer service. Avoid.
We moved to the Wakefield South Premier Inn and that was better in every way.
- E8079OHjasonb (10/5): Great experience - Me and my family recently stayed at this hotel. The room was very clean. The staff are exstremly helpful and polite. The breakfast was excelent. We will defenitely stay at this hotel in the future.
- W6591GClindaw (2/5): Quite dissatisfied with this particular premier inn wouldn't go back - Very short on staff hardly anyone around. Couldn't have room cleaned due to lack of staff. Would have preferred to be able to open a window instead of air conditioning.
- Cornishkates (10/5): Great premier - Great premier with everything you can expect, clean comphy rooms, friendly staff and easy to access Wadebridge and the coast, fantastic location and would definitely recommend. We will come and stay again, loving local we like to get away for weekends and you do t have to go far!
- B6317VKlaural (10/5): Fantastic - Recently had a fantastic stay here with my husband. Room spotless, breakfast great and staff lovely and helpful. Looking forward to returning soon.
- samkN9172IO (10/5): Great for lobe female travellers - A great stay in a super clean hotel. The breakfast was great, staff were lovely and the dinner was brilliant value for money. Would definitely stay there again!
- stevepG7518ZK (10/5): Top Marks - We stayed here a couple of nights whilst visiting family in the area. The hotel was very busy but the staff were always pleasant and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and had everything we needed. We always look forward to a Premier Inn Breakfast as they are so good - this was exception!
- hpops1 (10/5): Great Hotel - Just The Job - We stayed 3 nights at the hotel and used its good location as a base to visit the lovely sights and beaches of Cornwall including Padstow, Port Isaac, Newquay and Boscastle. The room was a good size and very clean. All the team we met were friendly and extremely helpful. We had breakfast every day and it was always plentiful, hot and tasty. We only ate dinner in the restaurant once but again food was lovely. Definitely worth a visit - we will be back!
- clairepQ2932XW (10/5): Fantastic value for money - Lovely room which was well equipped - hair dryer, WiFi etc. Room was clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Great selection of food available as well. Would definitely visit again!
- jamesbates (10/5): Proper job! - In town for a big 40th birthday weekend. Great location just outside the town centre (parking can be a nightmare in Wadebridge in the summer). Rooms were clean, staff great & breakfast decent as ever.
10 minute walk into town and the Camel Trail etc. Would stay again.
- TauriC_12 (8/5): Welcoming, convenient and clean - Came up for the Women’s World Cup Rugby 2025 opening match. We found this hotel to be welcoming, terrific ladies on reception, clean and delighted that our twin room was actually a twin (rather than a double bed and sofa bed as in some PI) with a walk in shower (great as this is needed for ambulatory disabled person).
There is a good network of roads nearby so easy access to a number of places to visit. Close to Sunderland, Durham and Newcastle. It is not far from the coast, Northumberland National Park, North Pennines, North Yorkshire Moors National Park and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are plenty of National Trust sites to visit. This is a good hotel as a jumping off point to Scotland or Cumbria (the A69 is very scenic with several lovely villages along the way or the A66 or A684 are also quite scenic).
We spent two nights here and would certainly return if we are back up in that area.
- Trip61211689601 (10/5): Sunny Bank Holiday stay - We stayed for 2 nights over the August Bank Holiday. Plenty of free parking. Check in was quick and easy. Our room was spotlessly clean and spacious. Tea/coffee and kettle in room. On the second day we asked for extra towels, these were bought to our room very quickly. Easy walk into Wadebridge town centre. Apart from the 10.5 tog duvet in August (way to big during a Bank Holiday heatwave) we would stay again and recommend.
- 403yvonnen (10/5): Excellent hotel all staff very friendly - All staff extremely friendly and very helpful. Great location to explore Sunderland and stadium of light. Fresh decor inside and great food.
- B1843JRemmac (10/5): Fantastic Staff - Lovely hotel, very quiet. Breakfast was delicious. The staff are amazing. We’ve stayed twice at this particular Premier Inn and we would again.
- SteveL241 (10/5): Recommended - Pretty standard Premier Inn. Decent enough, clean, good value, good position. The food next door was good too. What elevated the stay were the welcoming, friendly and helpful reception staff. Commendations to Jane and Teresa and all the other staff I encountered. I would stay again if in the area.
- JC2713 (10/5): An enjoyable experience! - Very pleasant stay at this Premier Inn. Has all been refurbished to a high standard from what we saw. Staff very friendly and extremely helpful. Will definitely be staying here again.
- mrsw71 (8/5): Great location and inn would return - Wanted 5 out of 5 but couldn’t do lol. Great clean hotel , very welcoming and attentive staff. Breakfast good too. Room big and bright and comfy . Don’t go to Toby Carvery it’s appalling. All meat tough and veg over cooked tepid and sloppy. Counter full of food people had slopped . Staff couldn’t be bothered We went to champs sports bar at rear of
- robertlG6657SL (10/5): Amazing Staff - Our stay at the rhubarb triangle in Wakefield was amazing would like to thank the staff for their kindness was up in Wakefield for a funeral two members of staff Jane and Paige could not do enough to help they gave us a sorry card and some forget me knots seed's we felt so humble thank you
- sarahhP6709DR (10/5): Best breakfast staff - As usual the Premier Inn room did not disappoint, all clean and comfy. I want to give a special shout out to Elaine in the onsite breakfast room. She was attentive and waited patiently while my granddaughters were deciding what to have. Afterwards she gave them both a cup and straw( leftover from Easter judging by the decoration on them) saying it was really important to keep drinking when it’s so hot. Her whole demeanour was relaxed, efficient and so friendly. A real treasure
- X6354PZsimonc (10/5): Lovely place. - Really nice little hotel, with a fantastic Brewers Fayre right next door. Food and service were amazing.
We used this as a stopover, had evening meal then breakfast before we continued our journey. The meals were gorgeous. It was so nice that we stopped in for a carvery on the way back through and that was amazing too. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
- tonymY9259WA (10/5): Wakefield City North Premier Inn Hotel Stay - As always the premier inn is a lovely and reasonable budget when stopping away working or travelling. The room, bed was very good and had a good night sleep in the clean comfortable bed.
Jane the manager was very happy, polite with 100% hospitality for the welcome and departure.
Well recommended
