Guest Reviews
- 917saniahg (10/5): Extremely helpful and kind - Everyone at Premier Inn, Pantruthyn Farm, Pen Coed, are always extremely helpful and kind, and completely understand my needs. Thank you.
- G4587ZLdaniellef (8/5): Great for a quick stopover - On arrival we were greeted by a young man who was so friendly and efficient, nothing was too much trouble and he had a huge smile on his face. Our rooms looked out onto the fields and we had a great view of a beautiful sunset. The rooms were exceptionally clean and WIFI was good. The rate for both rooms was cheaper than one room at another Premier Inn and the service was so much better here!! Very quiet, even at breakfast. I have coeliac so all my food was cooked separately. The young girl was very accommodating and again she was very pleasant and friendly. Altogether a very nice stay. The beds and pillows are quite hard, but I think that is down to our personal preference and the staff more than made up for it.
- LD1122 (10/5): Excellent Premier - An excellent stay. Really good location especially for the carnival. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very much a team. Room was clean and warm with lovely walk in shower.
Perfect breakfast with good choice of hot & cold food, fresh fruit was lovely. Another coffee machine might be handy. Large car park. Outside seating.
- D1511LHdaveb (10/5): Great Location Meal deal was good value - Came to see the Carnival and this is the perfect location as the carnival pass outside = s no need to spend too long outside
- BatbarP (10/5): North Petherton carnival stay - I use this site often for family visits. But this was to see the carnival. Excellent service as always. Perfect for our visit.
- Sightseer39678857781 (10/5): Lovely hotel and lovely staff - Lovely clean rooms, kind helpful staff. Lovely extra touch with the sweets for our little girl on Halloween night. Breakfast was to be expected from a premier inn, it was ok all well cooked though.
- annafO8391UO (10/5): Excellent value for money - Everything you need provided in the room. Good standard of cleaning and furnishing. Welcoming staff in reception and in the restaurant. Decent food (though some more veggie options would be welcome). Excellent value for money.
- robertbN4606ML (10/5): Halfway break to Cornwall. - We stayed overnight en route to Cornwall to break up the journey and was a great choice because the hotel was exactly what we required.
- Bradders0374 (10/5): Pleasant Stay - Rooms clean and tidy and got a great night's sleep for the whole week.
I was booked in for breakfast and was looked after by Sian who was fantastic and ensured I had what I needed-many thanks for an enjoyable stay.
- grahampI3882LN (10/5): Excellent stay fully recommend - After my stay at the Premier Inn at Junction 24 Gateway Bridgewater,I personally feel I have to write this review.
The service received was outstanding from all the staff,Emmy,Leah,Josh, such a great team.
They excel with their professionalism & attention to detail within their job roles/customer service.
Fully recommend staying here, keep up the great work guy’s.
Thanks

- jasonnQ482UN (10/5): Always a warm welcome (home from home) - Having stayed at premier inns throughout the country over the past 20+ years, Bridgwater gateway is one of the best, this is down to the welcoming and genuine nature of all of the staff. It’s always the little things that make a difference and nothing is ever to much trouble for them. They really are the type of staff that make staying with the premier inn a home from home experience, which when you spend as much time away from home as I do is very comforting.
Keep up the good work.
Emmy, Lotte, Leah, Beau, Jack and Aeron.
- drcsi (10/5): Great staff - Premier Inns experiences depend on good staff. This team was excellent in both the hotel and restaurent. Location near M4 makes it easy to find.
- jasonhS5962RZ (10/5): Faultless - Hotel room was great no complaints. WiFi was also really good. The restaurant is quite nice and the service faultless from Leah. She is a credit to the company, very attentive and nothing was too much. If i had a restaurant of my own I would want her working for me. 10/10
- robinpI5605NN (6/5): Mixed Messages - Post code given sends you off the roundabout the wrong way, so hard to find. Room smelled musty, possibly people smoking in here. Staff quickly sprayed with aerosol but smell didn't go! Table Table restaurant very good with helpful and friendly staff. Road works going in which restrict parking.
- Kate291109 (10/5): Couldn’t fault it. - Very comfortable night’s sleep, in a very clean room. Every staff interaction we had was friendly and welcoming, from check in to the restaurant. Breakfast was delicious! The whole stay was extremely good value for money.
- RyanB763 (2/5): Basic hotel, horrible internet wifi - Basic facility with clean rooms. Welcome was pleasant. Parking is bit small. The hotel wifi and internet is atrocious. It isn't even fit to use for email. I measured 0.6 MB download and 0.4 MB upload speeds. In 2025 this just isn't acceptable. In fact, I've had faster internet since 1994. There is almost no EE signal at the building as well, so mobile signals are poor.
- R4442BZsophiet (10/5): Great first solo trip thanks to the hotel! - For my first solo trip away for work, I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. All the staff were welcoming and friendly, with nothing too much to ask for them. The hotel as a whole was clean and tidy, and my room had everything I needed for my stay. I went for the meal deal for breakfast and dinner both nights, and the food was great. There was lots of variety to choose from, and upgrade options were sensibly priced.
- AliClareBevan (10/5): Excellent Stay - We stayed here for 1 night whilst attending a wedding nearby. It was a great stay and definitely the best Premier Inn we have stayed in. So handy to reach from the M5 and ALL on the staff were brilliant. We received such a genuine, warm welcome and check in was so easy. The lady at breakfast was also brilliant and unbelievably friendly and excellent at her job. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was very hot and plentiful.and there was plenty of space in the restaurant. Our room was very clean and comfortable and also very quiet. Would highly recommend.
- Trip796243 (8/5): Hotel good - restaurant poor - Location of hotel was good lots of parking on site. The room needed a more thorough clean but the beds were comfortable. Hotel staff were friendly. In the evening we ate at the table table however the staff were poor and rushed us to leave despite it only being 9.30. In the morning for breakfast people were eating on pyjamas and dressing gowns. Wouldn’t use this premier inn again.
- 9colind (6/5): Last time staying in Premier Inn. - This stay has put us off staying in a Premier Inn again. We don't often stay in them but this is likely to be the last time. The main issue was the room, it was dark and poorly kept. It hadn't been cleaned properly with crumbs and bits on the carpet, it was generally quite dingy. The window had no way of opening, it was just a sealed pane, so the room was stuffy.
When we arrived we found an auto rated self check in system. I'm not a fan of these as they don't usually work very well, as was the case with this one. It turned out the room key that I had activated was likely an old one that had been mixed in with the blanks, which led to not gaining access to our room and having to have hotel staff program a new key. Here's a suggestion - if you know there's used keys mixed in either check them or bin them rather than have your guests play a game of Lucky dip after a long journey. The car park registration machine wasn't working either.
- caroleparrett (10/5): VERY GOOD PREMIER INN - We stayed at this Premier Inn on our way to Cornwall, and on our way back, breaking up our respective journeys. The staff were friendly and helpful, in particular a young lady called Kirsty, who was so pleasant. We were most impressed with the breakfasts. The chef left nothing standing in the trays for ages, but kept refreshing with newly cooked food. As a result it was the best Premier Inn breakfast we have ever had and we have stayed in a lot of Premier Inns over the years. We find them to be dependable and would definitely, recommend this particular venue. It was very clean and exceptionally handy for the M5.
- Scooby4114 (10/5): Great stay - Leah Charlie and lottie were amazing,
Played Russian roulette with food orders with them if your stuck for choice let them choose lol good laugh great atmosphere great laugh be nice to them lol definitely go back
- stavrosm265 (4/5): Poor service - I love Premier Inn and always book with Premier Inn however we arrived a little early (2.30pm) after a 2.5 hour drive and our 3 year old daughter was unwell so we asked if the room was ready and the lady said yes but it would be £15. I have never experienced this with Premier Inn before especially when my daughter was unwell. Even if the room wasn't ready, as a person who works in customer service, I would have found ANY room to accommodate the child even for 30 mins. Poor service. And I can even ask for a refund because as always we eventually had a good night's sleep but wont be booking this hotel when we cone back early next year again. We will book the holiday inn opposite and pay a little more.
- P150AAandreyg (10/5): Good - Best stuff always smiling good service
Leah,Emily 1 more girl
Always help you with everything
Good and clean and tidy rooms
- dpage99 (8/5): Great, But… - Staff were really helpful, knowledgeable and polite. The evening staff, all 2 of them were ran off their feet though. Running reception, dealing with the restaurant, signing people in, serving drinks and food. Took a while to get seen, but that’s not the staff’s fault, that’s managements for not having enough staff on. Especially for a Saturday night. Most of the time it’s head office not giving managers on site enough staff, and try to cut corners to save money. Even the 2 chefs looked knackered.
Staff member from that evening, as she was great. Don’t think she’d need a gym membership the amount of walking she ended up doing. She must of been absolutely exhausted afterwards. Same with the staff member Leo
If staff are always having to work like that, I don’t think they’d keep staff for long. Especially if they’re on minimum wage
Evening meal and breakfast was great, nothing to complain about. At lease they had about 4 staff on for breakfast, not including the chefs.
WiFi was shocking. Was faster using my 3G signal. They might as well not bother having it installed. We know why though, coz they want you to spend money on their Premium WiFi. If you can have another phone or tablet you can hotspot off, and put it on the window ledge to get a better 4g signal I’d do that. If you’re on business and stopping here, take note that the WiFi’s rubbish.
Room was clean and fresh, didn’t see any cobwebs or dust. But then again I didn’t look under the bed. Bed sheets were clean. Had to use a second pillow though. My partner just used one, so depends on the person. TV worked fine. Room got a little warm even for September, so had to put the air-con for a little while. Yes I know a Premier Inn that actually has air-con. One big downsides of all Premier Inn’s even abroad is they don’t have a fridge in your room to keep anything cool.
Parking was free, which was great. Not all of them are. Just make sure you log your car registration at reception.
- johnsD2097GP (2/5): Appalling customer service - Absolutely shocking experience, a 19 year old manager, wearing a baseball cap backwards, and this is how premier inn want to portray themselves, children running a hotel, with appalling results, none of the staff including the manager knew what they were doing, never staying here again.
- A3980YNangelak (10/5): 5* - We recently stayed at Premier Inn Bridgend M4, J35 in September, and it was a wonderful experience. The room was spotless and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It's clear that the hotel takes great pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
The team at the hotel were outstanding—super friendly, approachable, and really helpful. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived, offering great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed.
- N4520WVtracyw (6/5): Restaurant service lets the hotel down ...... - I was really disappointed with the service at this Premier Inn, room clean, location ideal however, restaurant service below par! Booked my table for 6.15 pm so, not overly busy and 3 staff serving. Sat at my table for 15 mins without being approached for my order. I had already declined the menu as I knew what I wanted and stated this to the Manager who told me to sit at a table and someone would be with me shortly. So, 6.30 pm came and I ended up getting up from my table to find a waiter to take my order. I found "Daryl" and he asked me the same questions I was asked upon arrival at the restaurant, even though told him I had been waiting 15 mins and not even a drink at my table. To put the icing on the cake, Darryl then thought it would be a good idea to serve a gentleman, who came 10 mins after me, at least, and gave him his drink that he left his table and ordered from the bar, after my order had already been taken! He even glanced over in my direction to see if I had seen him give the gentleman his drink before me. I did Daryl. I also had to get up from my table again, to ask the Manager for some mayonnaise which he said he would bring over. My cloak of invisibility must have still been working because he didn't bring me any, I then asked a young lady for some mayo which she did bring to me in less than 5 mins. Food was tasty. No tip - you have to earn it not make people think they are invisible and insignificant! Thank goodness only staying one night on business.
- Tour792578 (10/5): Outstanding hotel - Really impressed with our stay. Our room and breakfast were outstanding. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient. Room was clean, fresh and had everything we needed.
Parking and public areas were clean and well kept. We will definitely visit here again if we were in Somerset. Thank you for a fantastic stay.
- Hortology (10/5): Good visit - A very well located hotel. The hotel was well maintained and bedrooms comfortable. The adjoining restaurant (Table Table) was inviting and food good. Particular mention to Nicola who looked after breakfast with care and a happy welcome. Diolch yn fawr
- Flyer16245345738 (6/5): Friendly and good location. WiFi is very poor - Good location with friendly staff. Good breakfast with decent choice and quick service despite being cooked to order. The WiFi is pretty terrible and cuts out after 10 mins when you need to go through the sign in again. This is made worse by no phone reception on both our networks so hard to contact family to make arrangements. Despite requesting out room be cleaned well before 12 and displaying the sign on out door this was not done so we came back to change for the evening part of the wedding to a pile of soggy towels etc. New towels were provided but nothing else could be done. I appreciate it is a budget hotel but we were charged same price for both nights
- nanontour2015 (10/5): Highly recommended - Spotlessly clean. Friendly staff. Very comfortable. Great breakfast. Have stayed often and always been very happy. Book with confidence.
- stevenpV8855ES (10/5): Great hotel manager - Tom the hotel manager was exceptional. Very welcoming as you come through the door, Also very helpful with everything I asked.
- enjay2023 (4/5): Run down PI and broken service promise - An old style PI in desperate need of refresh and refurbishment. Adjoining restaurant in even worse condition. Located right next to M4 but without any air conditioning had to keep window open with consequent noise.
Poor housekeeping. Only one set of towels in room. When telephoned reception (as advised in PI app - but had to be national rate even though in same building!) no answer at all despite prominently displayed marketing slogan “we are available 24/7”.
- Garysevern (8/5): Pretty good - We had a large comfortable, clean twin room. The hotel seemed full given the number of cars but it was quiet. The shower over the bath was powerful but the standard WiFi not. It seems to be constrained so you have to pay for WiFi you can stream with. The hotel is close to the M4 which can be heard when the window is open but not too bad. We needed the window open because the room was very warm at night. Staff were very friendly.
- Q1756LRstephaniew (6/5): Bit great for premier inn - The staff were friendly but parking was an issue - part of the car park was closed which meant difficult finding space and one morning we were woken to move our car due to the work being carried out. The bathroom was not esp clean. There is no aircon so had to have window open - woken one morning by strimming outside our window, another by lorry delivering. There is no mobile signal and the WiFi doesn’t work - to be fair the staff did give us the extra WiFi package, which was more reliable
- M3357NWemmaj (2/5): Dangerous electrics - Dangerous electrics. My son was electrocuted in his room when switching a lamp on. Have had awful response from the company basically called me a liar. Manager checked room after it was full of smoke and he told us he had complained about the electrics there before so they were aware there was a fault. My 3 children were in that room, it’s negligent.
- glenmoor27 (6/5): They could do with a General Manager who cares more about his guests. - Comfortable bed, no air con, food average pub fare, service fine… except the early closing of the bar.
Why close at 22:00 (last orders 21:40) when you have a bar full of men drinking and spending money on a Friday night. Ee regularly gear how the hospitality industry is really struggling to survive. Seemingly Premier Inn Bridgend is bucking the trend.
Apparently the GM was tired, and laid down the rules that everyone should shut up and have us out by 22:00.
We are a group of 25+ professional men, who have been visiting every year for 5 years. I suspect we will be finding somewhere else next year.
- Climber05669916084 (4/5): Uncomfortable stay at Premier inn Bridgend - This hotel has no air-conditioning and my room was on the first floor which faced the sun in the afternoon, the heat was unbearable, they provided a fan but that was insufficient to cool the room down
