- A5072JXdanielb (10/5): Friendly and helpful staff - Staff very friendly and helpful, food was lovely. Kate, Jonas, Sheila and Yohance were all great. The room was clean and spacious.
- N7160ASsusanw (8/5): Meeting up with family - Very enjoyable stay, staff very friendly and helpful. Shame the staff in restaurant were rushed and under staffed.
...
- judithwJ2674HM (10/5): Happy experience - In the restaurant Kate was very helpful and friendly made us feel welcome.
Unfortunately the room was not as clean ie no loo roll and short of towels
- T1823TUmarcom (10/5): Perfect choise for Oxford - I have been to this hotel with my students for 6 days. Only one word to describe the staff: AMAZING!!!!!! Check in super fast, breakfast excellent, rooms clean and spacious. I couldn't have asked more for a 3* hotel. It is not in the city centre of Oxford but it conveniently located next to a bus stop that is 10 minutes away form the city centre or 20 minutes walking. There is a supermarket downstair and the area is super safe. SUPER......5*
- Christine_A_T (10/5): Excellent staff - Our stay was excellent in all respects. Of particular note were the staff, Naycui and Jonathan. They were very professional, friendly and helpful.
- Smk109zl (2/5): Concerning behaviour regarding management at this hotel - Serious concerns regarding the management team at this hotel. The concerns I expressed are deeply worrying and Premier Inn’s Head Office are now engaging in a cover up. The issue relates to the Deputy Manager by the name of Johnathan. His behaviour is deeply worrying to guests and it is not advisable to stay at this hotel whilst he remain in place.
- SenderosS (10/5): Great hotel centrally located - Great hotel, centrally located in Oxford. The Park n Ride bus from Redbridge drops you off outside at the Westgate stop. Lovely Danish bakery right opposite plus huge shopping centre. All staff very friendly and helpful. Was able to store our bags after checkout for a recommended donation of £2 to GOSH. Have already recommended it to family.
- 723drusillag (8/5): Great staff, very attentive, especially Wiam - thanks for the sticky toffee pudding recommendation! Very central hotel - Thank you for very attentive service. Staff great especially Wiam. Central, convenient hotel. Meeting friend for dinner.
- Elephant777 (4/5): Disappoining stay but hotel is in a good location - This is quite a disappointing Premier Inn. It is one of the old ones desperately in need of a refurbishment. It is overpriced for what it is. The main thing it has going for it is its location as it is bang in the centre of Oxford. I took a Premier Plus room and found it to be small and old - dusty - lacked any vibrancy or nice vibe and was far smaller than other Premier Plus rooms I have stayed in elsehwhre. The staff seemed unprofessional and unimpressive. There is no real dining or communal area - there is a tiny space for dining/drinks that noone uses. Reception is cramped. Only good thing is location and fact there is soundproofing. I have stayed in far far better Premier Inns around the country than this one.
- S267JVstevenh (8/5): Oxford November 2025 - The staff at the hotel were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel like several other hotels in the centre of Oxford does not have any allocated parking.
Parking options are very expensive although there is a park and ride scheme operating.
The hotel is quite centrally located in which allowed us to walk around the city.
The Castle is adjacent to the hotel and the Westgate shopping centre is just across the road.
University colleges and other buildings of interest are a short walk away through the centre of the city.
The hotel rooms were ample in size, the beds comfortable. The rooms were always very hot which made sleeping difficult.
The bathroom was also of adequate size. A shower over a bath which unfortunately leaked in several places resulting in a wet slippery floor and reduced shower pressure.
The buffet style breakfast was good. There were options for hot food, cereals, fruit and juices.
Tea and coffee machine. A separate huge jug for Milk and also for chilled water but these jugs were huge and weighed quite a lot, not easy for everyone to manage.
- AlisonTinsel (10/5): Wonderful staff - Have stayed in many Premier Inns and this one had the absolute best staff. From reception to service at breakfast and dinner the staff were attentive, friendly and extremely helpful. Will definitely return.
- S5495ELlauraf (10/5): Excellent value - 6/11/25 overnight stay to see a show, room spotlessly clean and excellent night's sleep, very quiet. Breakfast was lovely, great choice all cooked well and nicely set out. Dining area very clean and the guy working that area was very helpful and polite.
- cobranout (8/5): Recommended, - Good Value for money
Good location, two bus lines to oxford centre
Hopefully they worked there breakfast shortages away
- jeri552016 (10/5): Excellent base for exploring Oxford - This was my first stay at this particular Premier Inn and it was most enjoyable. Everything was of a very high standard .. the room was comfortable and well appointed, the staff were friendly and professional and the food was delicious. Having taken out a Meal Deal when I booked, it was very good value. The hotel is very centrally situated making it a convenient base from which to explore Oxford.
- W6618LTdavidf (8/5): Limited heating and hot water - No hot water or heating until certain time of day so if working nights no consideration , food and parking and cleanliness good tho
- paulkY2707RN (10/5): Excellent - Great place to stay, really nice rooms, Lynsey and rachael at reception were very nice and really helpful, would highly recommend 5 stars, would come back any time
- Passport10549589084 (10/5): Pleasant stay - Ryan is a credit to the company. Very friendly and helpful.
Room was warm and spacious, comfy bed and lovely breakfast.!
- 848elizabethb (6/5): Good location - Great location, rooms quiet and clean. Air conditioning (couldn't open windows) Breakfast haphazard. Food nice but busy and no one clearing tables. They just kept letting people in but no where left to sit. A bit disorganised. Go down after 9am if you want a stress free experience
- B1874PLcharlotter (2/5): Never again - We arrive, get checked in and I offer to pay for the breakfast I have added on but told no and to pay in the morning.
Get to the room with all the family, BUT it’s a standard room with no extra bed or cot.
I go back to reception, told he has checked us in as the wrong guest. Manager comes and says I need to get everyone out of room and back to reception- no apology and I need to pay for the breakfast.
I vacate our family out for the room and have to wait 10 mins for a lift as only one of the three work.
Our baby still has not been fed by this point.
Manager finally says sorry and again pushes for payment for breakfast- I comment that’s the first time he has apologized. Get room key but wait 15 mins for lift to get back up to the new room on the 5th floor.
Room has chewing gum next to eldest daughter’s bed, the ceiling in the bathroom is flaking off, missing pillow cases on the extra cushions. It looks as though the room has not been cleaned in a while.
Air con did not work, temperature was at 24c the whole stay far too hot and we hardly slept. Reception not interested. We gave up. We had our breakfast which was feeding time at the zoo as no time given out to each guest and breakfast team could not keep up. Not the usual selection of offerings either. We cut short our trip to Oxford as we were exhausted.
- helenn759 (2/5): Don't pay for the breakfast. - Reception and the room were good. However, the breakfast was an awful experience. Over one hour before the end of service, the croissants, the pancakes, pastries and the orange juice had run out. In addition, there were no knives and none were forthcoming despite repeated requests. The staff (except for Kate who was most pleasant) were rude and there was lipstick on my companion's cereal bowl. We will not be paying again for this experience.
- petebM6578BX (8/5): Weekend with the cousins - Nice clean room,comfy bed,could do with a few more tea and coffees,staff very friendly,quick check in,breakfast a little over cooked,a great stay,would recommend.
- brianeK3900DH (10/5): Our ideal base for a couple of days' stay - We came by rail and were in Oxford for booked seats at the New Theatre one of the evenings. We managed to explore some the city over the remainng short time of our stay.
Our room was comfortable and breakfast provision excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff team, notably Wiam and her colleagues, to ensure all went well for us. We want to visit again and will certainly use this Premier Inn when we do.
- Ian (6/5): - Fine
- Peter (8/5): - Yes
- Jacki1970365 (10/5): Fab Stay! - A great stay at this Premier Inn again. Fab location, close to all amenities. Bus stops, train station, several supermarkets and a large retail park a couple of miles away at Elk Mill. The room was extremely clean and we had plenty of towels, toilet roll and toiletries. Everything we needed for a fab stay.
Rachel and Ryan on Reception went out of their way to make us feel happy. Lovely place to stay. We will be back again soon !
- U2766OGianb (8/5): Another enjoyable stay - Another good stay at the Botley PI. Clean room, comfortable bed and good shower. Stay only let down by the number of food items on the menu that were not available on both evenings of our stay.
- Visit2London (6/5): Average and expensive - Location - right in the heart of the city opposite the shopping centre, 10 minutes brisk walk from the station. Great for public transport.
Check in - no visible staff on arrival. Seem to be charging for bag deposit now, too. Look forward to see how creative they are with inventing the next additional fee.
Room - comfortable, as other PI rooms.
Bathroom - clean and well appointed, shower pressure not great.
Breakfast - had the continental, very disappointing. Poor quality ingredients.
- Scenic15407743337 (4/5): No good for disabled - I have disabilities so booked accessible room. When booking on phone I really stressed how i needed one. However when I arrived they had me booked for normal room. Hotel is very bad if you have disabilities. They had no staff except one very stressed out girl. If you are disabled I suggest you boycott this place. Only good thing was a comfortable bed. I would not stay there again.
- traceyanddavid2015 (4/5): Poor Value, Not Recommended. - Have stayed here multiple times as it is very convenient for visiting family and Oxford. However, it is poor value for money. Service, cleanliness, facilities all seem to have worsened over the last few years. It has come to the point where we are looking to stay elsewhere in future even if less convenient for our visits.
- philcJ3473MN (4/5): Poor dining experience - Rooms are very clean but don’t bother eating at the restaurant, extremely long waits and you get forgotten about 20 minutes to be asked what drink you want, that’s if your asked at all and don’t have to constantly go up to the bar to ask for some service. This isn’t just a one off it’s every night.
- Ann05Cornwall (10/5): Great stay - Arrived after 10 minute walk from train station. Had code to check in but preferred to do at reception, staff very friendly and helpful.
Nice big corner room on top floor, 2 fast lifts.
Room very clean and bed so comfy with spare choice of pillows.
Nice clean bathroom, shower not high pressure but adequate, really nice toiletries and soft towels.
Location perfect, across road from shopping centre and town, and all sightseeing walkable. We will return.
- lindadG1525GC (2/5): Major Disappointment - We always book with Premier Inn when visiting the UK. Our experience at King’s Cross Premier Inn was wonderful. Unfortunately, Oxford Westgate was a huge let down. The entrance to the hotel is dirty - as are the lifts and hallways. Our room had the “ick” factor. No one on staff ever acknowledged us - most of the time the reception desk was empty. Someone needs to do a major update and thorough cleaning. The only thing positive is that it is within easy walking distance to everything.
- Voyage47443540900 (10/5): Great hotel for Oxford stay - Great location for Oxford. Close to the motorway and an easy walk or bus ride into the city centre. Good amenities nearby (Co-op, coffee shops etc.). Rooms as expected - comfy and clean. Brilliant team working here. Friendly and helpful. Everything you need!
- TravelwithTaz (6/5): Room could of been cleaned better - The bed was comfy and clean and also the bathroom was clean. Staff on reception were friendly and welcoming. The desk and bedside table hadn't been cleaned as there was sticky marks on the desk, there was marks on the bedside table and hadn't been wiped down. The carpet hadn't been hoovered or properly has it had bits all over the carpet.
- taracX8208CG (10/5): Weekend in Oxford - Lovely hotel, great location. Very clean and bed very comfy.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
- mhA9779XZ (10/5): Lovely stay, great staff. - As always, solid stay at the Premier Inn. It’s a great location, being so close to the Westgate and only about a 10 minute walk into the centre (Radcliffe Square, the Bodleian, etc). Real stand out was Wiam who was working reception. She was so lovely and went above and beyond to be helpful when we were checking in due to my other half having bad neck pain. Having great staff like that really is a stand out and huge thanks to her!
- Gerry678317 (10/5): Oxford Premier Inn. - The Premier Inn at Oxford is a professionally hotel with a family feel. The room was just perfect, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was really good.
- Travellingshoos (8/5): Reliably good - Good, clean and practical place to stay. I was travelling as a single female and felt very safe the whole time. It's not cheap, but a cheaper option than other similar hotels in Oxford, and I'd happily stay there again, as it was quiet and comfortable, and very central. It's not a romantic, or quirky place, it's ( as expected) a functional chain hotel, but the staff were great, really helpful, and the option to leave your luggage if you arrive too early to check in ( and afterwards, once you have checked out but still have things to do) is very welcome. Recommended.
- KatyJGB (10/5): Very Helpful and Friendly staff - Particular shout out to Jonathan and Kate. Both have been very kind and helpful to me considering my circumstances in the evenings. A massive credit to this particular branch. Thankyou both of you 😊
Also, all other members of staff have been happy and friendly too.
The hotel itself is both Clean and Comfortable and the food good.
If you want posh food and linens etc then pay the price , but, for me I would do Premier Inn Botley any time I am in Oxford for Business
- Ishani (2/5): - The reception staff was not helpful. And they gave the smallest room possible in their property without anything. They didn’t have an intercom in the room or basic amenities. It was the worst experience.
- amandacA7568FN (2/5): Parking Fine - I have been a guest at this hotel - Premier Inn, West way, Botley, Oxford.
Many times before and cannot fault my experience. However since my last stay 21st - 23rd. August this year, I have received a parking fine even though I had registered my car, on the iPad device in reception, for the duration of my stay. I have appealed and will incensed if the fine is not recinded. My advice is be careful
- annejT8986QB (10/5): A Perfect Location - The Premier Inn Oxford City Centre is a quiet hotel, offering full and continental breakfast, Happy Hour. and Dinner. It is in an excellent location to City centre shops, the Westgate Mall, many historic sites, good restaurants and pubs.
The staff were professional, friendly and helpful. Special Mention to Colin, Wiam and Dan who made any travel concerns disappear. They all began our conversation with the sentence, "How can I help? The staff at the Premier Inn Oxford City Centre made customer service a priority.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at the Premier Inn Oxford City Centre and recommend it highly to other travellers.
- Happiness17057146032 (10/5): Perfect location, clean, comfortable and quiet room - What a find! Parking was easy and well sign posted. The hotel was clean and, for us, a perfect location. The staff on arrival were friendly and helpful. Our room, 220, was clean, the bed and pillows really comfortable and was really quiet.
- Donmoz (10/5): Excellent reception staff Ryan - Ryan was so helpful on arrival. Couldn’t have done more to make us feel welcome. What a gent! Would definitely recommend
- lyneofbeauty (10/5): Fabulous stay - Absolutely fantastic stay made even more special by the very welcoming member of staff, Ryan. He just couldn't do enough for us. So polite, welcoming and bent over backwards to help.
- sallyannj2014 (10/5): Very comfortable and convenient - We stayed here for 2 nights and found it very handy for the city and train station. The room was very comfortable and had everything handy. We are frequent stayers at PI over the years. Service always good too. Breakfast was good in particular the friendly and service from Wiam who went out of her way to help. Many thanks!
- O3756YCdanw (10/5): The staff really stand out. - Very central location. The staff are particularly good at this Premier Inn, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms clean and tidy and the breakfast fresh and hot.
- TiredTrotter (6/5): Good enough to park up and sleep but not much else to offer - It’s a Premier Inn, so we’re not expecting The Ritz. Yet it’s still well over £100 a night (including an early check-in fee) and this isn’t exactly NYC - so is it worth it? Well, first of all the parking is free, so that’s a bonus. And there’s plenty of it, so you can expect to find a spot. Check-in was very friendly, welcoming and efficient though the reception area is tiny and not very inspiring. In fact the common areas were all a bit grubby; stair treads were dirty for instance, and our corridor smelt of sick. The room itself was perfectly okay - clean (the bathroom immaculate) and comfy. As with any PI there are no extras: no mini-safe, no mini-bar. You get a bed, a fan, (a/c seemed to be permanently switched off) some tea & coffee sachets and that’s about it. Our view was of an enclosed part of the car park. We didn’t use the WiFi but in other PIs we’ve found the free one to be very slow and you’re invited to pay for a better service. Meanwhile the hotel’s food offer is c/o an adjacent “Beefeater” pub that smelt of stale fried food and didn’t in the least bit inspire - we ate breakfast elsewhere. All in all though, you get what you pay for and if you just need a place to park up and sleep, this will do fine. The rates do seem a bit high for the destination, but I guess that’s the UK for you these days.
- Simone (6/5): - Dopo la prima notte è finita la carta igenica non sostituita
- susanitaSpain (10/5): Very friendly staff, very reliable hotel - Our family room was comfortable and clean. We all slept well. The staff were all very friendly and professional. Our room was ready at 2pm so we were able to check in a little earlier. The hotel is very well located so we were able to pop back during the day whenever we needed to.
- farahaA424TA (10/5): Over night stay - Had a lovely stay at Premier Inn broadway oldham, the staff where very pleasant and helpful especially Rachel who went the extra mile and helped my mother who has mobility issues, she made our check in quick and also helped my mother to her room, could not have asked for more.
- Maps00749685356 (10/5): Exactly what you expect from Premier inn - Exactly what you expect from a premier inn hotel. Room clean, check in quick and efficient, breakfast filling. Rooms are bit pricey though.
- Arnaud (8/5): Hotel avec comodités - Hotel correct, propre, avec un accès au centre-ville avec le bus 400 juste devant l'hotel. Pdj correct. Un rapport qualité/prix correct. Supérette à coté.
- glennandangie (10/5): Great price, friendly staff. - Great price for bed, breakfast and evening meal.
Have eaten at The Whitegate before and always enjoyed my meal.
Room on ground floor with disability parking right outside the main entrance was ideal.
- Ruben (4/5): - The facilities were OK, and the breakfast was also OK, but we found the room not too clean, and the AC seemed not to work
- RicadoRazon (10/5): Bestest Premier Inn...ever - Great location and amenities. No need to leave as there is a great bar downstairs. A few minutes to the motorway. Front desk Rachael was the bestest
- robhQ701KZ (10/5): Lovely hotel - I had a very stressful business meeting and stayed at the hotel. After the meeting I felt very relaxed and the staff were very helpful. I could not fault the room it was very clean. Next time in the area on business I know where I’ll be staying. :)
- vikkiw322 (2/5): Sadly wont be back - Sadly, we had to leave a day early as our room (122) was unbearably hot. Jy parents wrre in an accessible (4) and that seemed to stay ar around 24....i went in and even that felt loads colder than my room! We had zero sleep for 2 nights and decided at breakfast this that we'd cut the bresk short and get home, rather than have yet another sleepless night due to the heat of the rooms.
Reception did give us an extra fan, and we bought 2 smaller ones, but nothing helped. I asked for some ice last night and it melted immediately on entering the room. Whilst I know there's no air-conditioning, I have stayed at Premier Inn's with none before and never had this. It truiy was like walking into a furnace! The corridor was about 10 degrees cooler and we did try propping the door open to get the cooler air in, but obviously couldn't do that when trying (!!) to sleep....
It's such a shame as the staff were fabulous, the room clean and the location great, but we won't be booking into here again.
- SONIA (6/5): Pasable - Una de las 2 camas supletoria era muy chica e incomoda
- MARIO (2/5): - I stayed in room 611 at Premier Inn and had a very disappointing experience. My Expedia booking stated a 12:00 noon check-out. However, at 11:50 a.m., a staff member entered our room without proper notice while we were getting ready to leave, saying check-out was at 10:00 a.m.
We felt rushed and uncomfortable, unable to finish preparing for departure. By the time we left around 12:15 p.m., several staff members were in the hallway insisting we vacate immediately.
The service was also poor at check-in; there was no staff at the front desk and we had to wait for someone to arrive.
This experience was stressful and disappointing. Management should ensure clear communication of check-out times and respect for guest privacy.
- BackPacker312954 (2/5): Long-time guest, but this experience ended that - I’ve stayed with Premier Inn 10 times since last September for work — usually reliable, but after my recent stay at Chadderton (Oldham Broadway), I’ve stopped booking with them.
I paid for Ultimate Wi‑Fi, which was so unreliable I had to work from my car every day. Hotel staff told me it’s “a bit temperamental” and that an upgrade is in progress — so this was a known issue, yet no warning was given.
I submitted a polite, detailed complaint. I received a dismissive copy-and-paste reply (even got my name wrong), and was told Wi‑Fi is complimentary — despite the fact that I paid, including a voucher from reception.
I explained this clearly and requested a refund or goodwill gesture — nothing unreasonable — but was ignored.
I’ve already booked other hotels instead of Premier Inns. One missed stay alone would have been over £400 — far more than the small refund they refused to consider.
It wasn’t the Wi‑Fi that lost them a regular customer — it was the way they handled it.
- 818melinag (10/5): Great staff - The reception (Ryan and Rachel) were amazing couldn’t have been more helpful. A credit to your team. We will be staying again
- V7795NRlukej (10/5): Outstanding staff - The staff on reception are some of the most welcoming, hardworking and accommodating I’ve ever known. The welcome I receive is so reassuring and warm. Despite long periods of time between my staying at the hotel they remember my name and make me feel at home after a five hour drive which is invaluable. A truly exceptional team and I’m sad to have completed my training that required my staying here.
- NickPope1 (10/5): Highly recommended local stop-over. - Great standard Premier Inn. Exceptionally clean. Warm efficient and friendly check-in and the food from the Beefeater in the evening we stayed, exceeded expectations. Breakfast was great, as usual !
- J1525YRjohna (10/5): Party - Fab time spent in premier inn, we was there for parklife all the staff where friendly and helpful, rooms was clean thanks again premier inn, reception had information on how to get to and from, taxi numbers and advice on booking tables next door if we wanted breakfast
- jonathansW7567GZ (10/5): Football - Great stay again went for soccer aid, all the staff where friendly, room was clean and tidy tad warm but had a fan in there, tables where booked for breakfast next morning, it was cooked to order,
Get the staff booking you in restaurant is always busy
- Rizles (10/5): Brilliant Premier - Third time and never failed. Really good and Ryan on Reception was brilliant. The cleanliness is definitely priority so overall 10/10. The location is near where i wanted to be. It's close to Manchester and very easy to get to with Local transport. I would highly recommend it.
- stepheni351 (2/5): Actual death trap - The room had a broken light fixture that had the lamp balanced on top and the still live wires where exposed causing the electrics to go off in the room, which was a constant 25 degrees with a broken loud fan to try and keep it cool. Actual death trap of a room, so much so that on our return from holiday we drove 2 and a half hours home rather than risking staying in the hotel again. Worst Premiere inn we’ve ever stayed in.
