Guest Reviews
- K4708DSjaneh (10/5): Super staff - Staff were SO friendly both at Premier and Table Table. Really helpful too. Comfortable, clean room.
Porridge delicious and good to have fruit available.
Good location for exploring both Caernarfonshire and Anglesey.
Thankful for free WiFi!
- Z575DDchristinee (6/5): Average - My stay was ok, just. Furnishing is all rather tired and well used, time it was freshened up. Have to ask to have room cleaned and fresh towels if required. Table Table restaurant needs a deep clean! Grubby utensils and equipment and plates and bowls had been taken out of the dishwasher by someone with greasy hands so could see the fingerprints, yuck. Staff were pleasant enough and I suspect short staffed. Cooked breakfast good. No taxis available locally around school run times, but bus near so not the end of the world.
- C2171YPjoanneh (10/5): Excellent affordable hotel in great location of Bangor Facilities. - Had a fantastic stay in Premier Inn Bangor . Location is excellent with everything accessible by foot. The entire town and seafront is less than a five minute walk away . Staff were friendly and helpful which is rare nowadays . Rooms were huge , quiet and had a large tv which is essential when travelling with family. Internet was easy to connect to and breakfast was delicious and plentiful . All staff i encountered were helpful and friendly - we will certainly be back .
- K5333PIkates (8/5): Perfect for our girls night out needs! - Great base for a low-cost overnight stay with colleagues on a work night out. Cheaper than a taxi to outlying villages and really central and convenient for all Banbury nightlife!
Rooms basic but comfortable and have all you need for a night away.
Very quiet and beds comfy.
Sonia on reception was very charming and helped us get 2 rooms next to each other (although why this does not happen automatically when 2 rooms are booked by the same person, I do not know?)
Breakfast was really reasonable with lots of choice and the staff were working so very hard to keep everyone happy, refill items and clear tables etc.
The multistory carpark next door offers plentiful and good value parking (free after 6pm and until 7.30a.m. the next day)
Would definitely stay here again for convenience 🙂
- mbH8734YN (10/5): Just great - Great all round and close to town. Check in was fast, welcoming staff and easy free parking. Room was a good size and clean
- E7700PSpaulm (10/5): A second home once a week 😁 - Stop here very Tuesday through work. Bein stopping here now since January. The hotel has improved loads since jen has bein the manger. The staff are always smile pleasant and can't do enough for anyone. The rooms are spotless. Bathroom is really clean
Jen always comes and asks who was your day. And spends five mins haven a chat with me. When it's busy everyone works as team do get things done quick as possible. Look forward to comin and stopping and the premier inn in Bangor northern Ireland every Tuesday. All the staff are on first name terms with me
- Stay68658644987 (10/5): Second to none - From check in to check out my experience was second to none. Every team member I encountered was pleasant, friendly and helpful. A special mention to Jen and Susie, they go above and beyond to make sure your stay is as enjoyable as possible. I highly recommend this hotel
- 319lornap (10/5): Amazing team work - The staff at this Premier Inn were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and professional.
A special thank-you to Alison, who greeted me by name and made me feel truly welcome.
Thank you to all the team for a great stay!
- ppshollingworth (10/5): The best place to stay In North Wales - I unexpectedly needed accommodation late at night for my wife and myself, the lady on the desk went to extraordinary lengths to get us into a room. Fresh off the plane from Australia she used her own phone to get us booked in. The room was wonderful, clean spacious and the bed was divine. Breakfast was great in the restaurant next door. THANKS for your help and hospitality I would recommend this Premier inn to anyone.
- a4u12000 (8/5): Nice canal side location with shops and restaurants, comfortable bed and rooms, staff a bit unorganised managing breakfast list. - Nice hotel, excellent location next to a beautiful canal with nice restaurants and shopping mall. Comfy beds as premire inn standard. Good breakfast. Only one complaint, even after booking with breakfast, the staff made me wait for over 10 minutes to verify their system as my name was not in their list, could have been more organised at their end. And there's no apologises or sorry for this! Otherwise the staff in general was helpful. Nice views from windows and nice riverside walk.
- shroad7rock4 (10/5): Premier Inn Bangor Northern Ireland - All excellent in all aspects. One of the best Premier Inns I have stayed at. I would strongly recommend this excellent hotel along with its very welcoming staff.
- brikenac2025 (10/5): The best hotel - My experience in this hotel is very good. The hotel conditions are very good. The food is delicious. The hotel staff is very polite. Just make a reservation and you will be very satisfied.
- richardwG9575YU (8/5): Great hotel, great staff. - We had a lovely stay at this hotel, the staff were brilliant and couldn’t do enough to help. We stayed 3 nights in a family room which was larger than we had experienced in other premier inns which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel was clean and a credit to the staff, the only downside was the restaurant was closed throughout our stay due to staff sickness.
- Dawn (6/5): - Room was comfortable, however it had very poor ventilation in the bathroom and no opening windows. Paint peeling and mould in the bathroom. A nice hotel but lots of knobs and buttons missing from elevators and toilets.
Friendly, helpful staff and nice meals at the restaurant.
- A2324BCthomass (10/5): Magical. Like Hogwarts level magic.‘I was not bribed even a little shortbread bit. - Adam and India were the most magical and friendly night staff I have met and I have met so, so many. And India had a lovely mannor.
- R2998QXrobc (10/5): Bangor for half term - Excellent service and quality of hotel room for the money, friendly and helpful staff, a very pleasurable and easy stay for me and family - thank you
- Seaside52144566797 (8/5): Family weekend - We spent 2 nights there as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children (age 6 & 4). Family room consisted of a double bed, a single and a folding single bed. The room was satisfactory, tea/coffee making facilities, sufficient linens/pillows etc. WiFi was patchy at times but ok. Tv in room with free-view channels, not a smart tv. Room was overall clean but the bathtub required a bit of extra attention. All staff we interacted with were pleasant and helpful, nothing seemed to be a bother, from check-in to the serving staff in the restaurant/bar. Breakfast selection was standard for what you would expect and replenished frequently. Evening meal provided a wide variety of options for both adults and children. Food was good value as a family, especially when the meal deal was selected and child’s meal is free with every paying adult meal. Hotel is located beside a park which was lovely for an early evening walk and very close to the town & train station.
- maryellenm929 (6/5): Overnight trip - On arrival to the premier inn a friendly but too casual staff member checked us in, (perhaps too comfortable but cursed a number of times)
check in took a long time due to “systems” head office buys but don’t always work. She offered us meal deals which we said we’d be interested in to then say the bar/restaurant was busy but to buy them when we come down:
When we came down to the bar there were plenty of tables but were told it would be 45 mins before one available, it appears despite a full hotel they were very understaffed. No offer of taking a table for drinks while we wait.
Our room smelled of smoke /musty. But visually appeared clean.
Unfortunately our son had an accident falling backwards from his bed through a gap, hitting the wall at the window and splitting his head open. I went for first aid help and was blessed to be met by Georgie.
Georgie was incredible, he was calm, friendly, supportive and thought of little things like a care package of fruit drinks and treats for the hospital wait. He was brilliant with both our sons and two anxious parents.
I work in customer service and people like him make such a difference, his calm friendly leadership was just perfect for our anxious 1 hour in room before leaving for hospital.
I can’t say I felt the same from the duty manager.
A real mixed bag of a visit. Accidents happen, georgie was brilliant, I’m not sure the set up of the bed was ideal. I sought out staff before checking out to return the bloody towels, and to discuss the accident report. There was no checking in on us without that. Again it feels the hotel is busy with minimal staff.
Thank you Georgie for really making a difference to our family. The rest of the trip was unfortunately not what I’d expect of a premier inn if there had been no accident Id still have been every underwhelmed at best. There’s 5 stars for Georgie, 2/3 for the hotel and experience overall.
- martinq529 (10/5): Very enjoyable stay at the Premier Inn Bangor NI - We stayed in Premier Inn, Bangor for 3 nights. We found Suzie and her team to be excellent. They made our stay really enjoyable. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was pristine.
The staff were friendly and efficient and the breakfast and evening meal were really good.
- andymD7593NJ (8/5): Great place to stay for exploring North Wales but pub needs better management - The hotel and staff were all very friendly and helpful, the pub joined on to the hotel needs to improve their speed of service and cleanliness as the tables were sticky and service was slow
- S4077ZGmikew (10/5): Thank you - Lovely staff, nice and clean hotel. Food is amazing. Nice area and easy to going to walk next to river or park. If you forget something a shopping centre is next to hotel so easy to shopping.
- 970Anonymous (8/5): ROSHAN WAS GREAT - We always stay here when we visit Bangor. We stayed last on 1st September and the manager, Roshan was more than helpful. Food isn't great especially on the evening but otherwise the hotel is very quiet, warm and comfortable
- I9374XNgillianw (10/5): Outstanding hotel to stay at - We checked in with minimal effort, the hotel in all areas was immaculately clean, from the reception areas, corridors and especially the room which smelt amazing and clean. We had food in the restaurant next door, lots to choose from and staff lovely. Overall a great choice from us as a 5 minute drive to the town centre and 15 minutes from Caernarfon.
- 197SarahG197 (10/5): Lovely hotel, perfect sleep in a comfy room - Stayed as a family in 317, was a lovely spacious room with an amazingly comfy bed, I slept like a baby. Really liked the little light above the bed which I used for reading and then swung it round to provide a little night light for my children. The shower was lovely and warm, and as always the Bayliss & Harding shower gel and handwash was beautiful. Fantastic service from the hotel reception both on leaving and arrival. The only bad point was the restaurant next door - it took forever to be served even though it was fairly empty. We was going to treat ourselves to a dessert but after waiting for over an hour for our food to arrive then it appeared no one was coming back to collect our plates and let us order desserts, we gave up and paid at the bar in the end. Very disappointed.
- karenmD9505EH (10/5): OVERWORKED STAFF - WHITBREAD COMPANY should be ashamed of yourself staff over worked. Jen and Chris yous are totally wasted working for this company. 1 member of staff managing checkin and bar service also seen front of house staff doing housekeeping stripping beds cleaning rooms🙈 I am returning to this premier inn end of October simply due to the amazing staff who make you feel like home can’t do enough for you. Promotions in bar please if you are going to advertise drinks promotions please can you have the drinks to avail of this promotion not the staffs fault again WHITBREAD COMPANY. Rooms spotless Restaurant and bar spotless how they get the time to keep this hotel running I have no idea 🙈 ohhhhh yes I do over worked staff who is going to be ran into the ground who will not be able to keep up something will give. Looking forward to staying again at the end of the month simply due to your staff. Don’t want to run down any premier inn because I do like the hotels but seriously need to evaluate staffing issues x
- jeremybeech (10/5): All very good - Stayed here for an evening and overnight and a typical Premier Inn. Clean, tidy and pleasant staff. Plenty of choice at breakfast and you can have a freshly cooked breakfast at this hotel. All very good and a 5 minute drive into the town.
- iansW9570QE (10/5): Nice location and clean hotel - First time stay here and it was a nice experience with good views of the park from our window. The hotel is situated quite close to the town centre and the train station which has a regular service into Belfast. The rooms are clean but storage space is limited these days due to a refurbishment of the rooms which has done away with a decent sized wardrobe. We only travel light due to travelling on a motorcycle but even our small amount of luggage causes us a problem with nowhere to put our belongings apart from on the carpet.
With the hotel's location, we were able to walk along the North Downs Coastal route towards Belfast Port which is very interesting and follows the railway line that came in handy when we got tired after walking for a few hours.
- lynno98 (10/5): Excellent customer service - Just come back from a weekend break at the premier in. Bangor. The price was really good and the meals and meal deal offers were excellent value. A big shout out for all the front of house staff. Each member was very friendly, polite and efficient snd should be rewarded for their excellent customer service skills which made our stay very enjoyable.
- D8176QOsusank (10/5): Great stay - Excellent location. Hotel very clean, bed very comfortable. Staff very professional and helpful. Definitely coming back.
- Connector728343 (10/5): Enjoyable Experience - Room was comfy & clean. I have a range of food intolerances, the staff were excellent at Dinner & breakfadt. Quality of food was lovely. All Staff (in particular Susy) were friendly courteous & efficient.
- Footnote3 (10/5): First rate Premier Inn - I had reservations about this Premier Inn after reading reviews but I cannot fault it. The room was clean and quiet, the staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant next door provided a fantastic breakfast.
It was in a good location for visiting Bangor and Snowdonia, so I was very pleased.
- Go68399770259 (6/5): Good location within walking distance to town centre and train and bus station - Good location on the outskirts of the town centre but within walking distance if you fancy an uphill walk.Close to train and bus station 40 minutes train service to Belfast for £8.30 regular service.Overall not a bad place to stay, Downside beds not what they used to be, creaky and not a great mattress to sleep on. Pillows were awful so had to ask for more.Average breakfast and evening meal not great.Much better options eating out. Room only had 1 chair for two people so it's a fight for first in gets the chair to sit on. The staff are friendly but not enough of them. Stood waiting to check in and stood waiting for breakfast.
- 632tommym (10/5): Our stay - Just had a 2 night stay in. Premier Inn Bangor..Had a very welcoming experience.Room on 3rd floor was very clean and tidy, also very quiet... evening meal's and breakfast was delicious....Staff were welcoming and efficient...A big shout out to Susie and Chris in particular for all there help during our stay.....Will most definitely return in the near future...
- QUBNI (10/5): Very comfortable stay - great location and excellent service - Really enjoyed our 1 night stay. The hotel is in a great location near all local amenities and there is free parking on site for all guests.
Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a great shower.
We were on a meal deal offer which was great value including a 2 course dinner plus drink and an unlimited Premier Inn breakfast, which was lovely.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the manager particularly provided great service to all guests.
We will be back I’m sure!
- hc-lancashire-2024 (2/5): In need of refurb and better restaurant food. - Tired room. Very rusty bathroom fittings. Breakfast inedible. Overpriced and not the usual Premier Inn standard. However, cannot fault the staff who were very friendly. Location is excellent for Menai Bridge.
- jonbP277GW (10/5): Jen hotel manager - Jen is an absolute credit to premier inn..
She’s polite switched on efficient and so helpful..
She brightened up our mornings..
It’s good to meet good people and this lady is one of the good ones..
We look forward to catching up with her at Bangor in a few months time
- sampsons3 (10/5): Perfect for exploring Bangor - Perfect location for uni drop off, also for exploring surrounding areas .
Our stay was everything you would expect from a premier inn , clean with comfy beds and plenty of free parking .
Staff were amazing , friendly and efficient . Special thanks to Sam who , after negative experiences at breakfast next door ( not managed by premier inn) , he was sent to help and was a breath of fresh air ! Professional, organised friendly , providing a much better experience on our last day .
- hannahwN9248YJ (8/5): Good night's kip - The location is out the way, with only one restaurant nearby. The rooms themselves were clean and very comfortable. The wifi/mobile service was not good for any of the 3 of us in the party in the restaurant but in the room it was fine. The service was good at reception, very friendly and helpful. The restaurant service was frustrating, and often baffling, like missing cutlery etc.
Overall for the price of the stay, the restaurant and wifi/signal service is the only thing lacking so if you can get past that it's well worth staying here.
- nicolabH36SK (10/5): My Pa - My experience at This Hotel was never stayed in a hotel by myself the staff have made me so welcome its like my second home Brona knows how to pick staff only thing I don't like is checking out and the ground floor room is perfect for me I lost my Dad earlier this year had other family illnesses the staff here have helped me through the hardest time of my life &im very grateful to them they know that
- jeanettedS500MA (6/5): Clean and friendly staff - The room was nice, clean but a bit on the cool side and we couldn’t turn the heat up. Water pressure in the shower wasn’t good and kept reducing to a trickle. As I’d booked an accessible room I thought it would be near the entrance but instead it was down a number of corridors and a short flight of stairs, although there was a stannah lift to go up and down. I managed but if I had been in a wheelchair it could have been quite difficult. Hotel itself was clean and staff were friendly and helpful when I had a complaint about the restaurant
- 158stanj (6/5): Great hotel - if only they had enough staff! - Very clean, comfortable hotel. Arrived late (2230 hrs) due to flight delays so weren't surprised there was no one on reception. However a gentleman appeared after a few minutes and checked us in. Even served us a coffee and tea. In room there was only one hand towel but easily remedied following day. Next day saw notices about registering car details but machine/monitor at reception wasn't working. Next day when we asked at reception the screen was actually missing. Lady registered us on her phone. At breakfast there was a sign asking people to wait to be served. There was never anyone present to do this though we did get noticed event. Same each day. Never saw anyone at reception. Always had to ask other staff. The most serious problem was that the restaurant was closed each night. This was a big disappointment as a main reason for choosing Premier Inn was the expected convenience of an onsite dinner option. Bangor used to have numerous dining options but no longer. Very run down. All of the staff we had dealings with were first class. Very friendly and helpful. However it is clear that management is cutting costs radically and therefore we are unlikely to revisit.
- Llama15 (8/5): Good stay - Stayed for one night, as it’s in a great location for Holyhead Port.
Really quiet at night, room was clean, comfortable & spacious. Staff were all friendly & approachable. No lift - bit of a faff when travelling with a small baby but only one short flight of stairs so manageable!
- Planter77 (10/5): Breakfast cooked to order - fast, fresh and minimising food waste - brilliant - I wanted to shout out the breakfast and that unlike some premier inns, the cooked breakfast option is cooked to order and table service for all parts of the order. I thought this was brilliant in terms of the experience (more relaxing), the food was freshly cooked and most importantly, helps to reduce significant food waste that can be created by buffet breakfasts. Well done Premier Inn Bangor making this move. We could still order as much food as we wanted so it was the same great value for money.
- Paul (6/5): - The shower was leaking water in 4 places and difficult to operate. Water ended up going everywhere. The shower was extremely high to step up into. My other coworkers commented on this for their rooms too. The room was never cleaned or freshened up in a Mon- Fri stay. They kept asking for tips at the bar even for one drink?
- nickyt604 (10/5): Best helpfulness - I had a problem with my WiFi. The two people I spoke to , Fatima and Chelsea went over and beyond to help. Faultless . 2 great people with great attitudes.
- markjoandalice (8/5): Everything you expect from a Premier Inn - It’s fine. Perfect for one night. Everything you would expect from a Premier Inn. Been to better, been to worse. Comfy bed, good pillows, spotless bathroom, clean room. Nice staff on reception. Negligible mobile phone signal and free wi-fi is awful. I guess that’s so you upgrade to the Premium Wi-Fi, but at £175 per night I’d suggest that warrants decent Wi-Fi without additional charge.
- 506lorec (10/5): Lovely location on the water canal - Nice stay for us here. Easy check in process. Modern hotel comparison with the older generation of Premier Inns.. We had a good stay it's close to absolutely everything you want, shopping, food, cinema. We will be back!
- Mitchypoos (6/5): Underwhelmed. - We were disappointed with the tidyness and appearance of the exterior of the hotel. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Overall not a venue we would recommend.
- MrGawrjuhs (8/5): Good hotel for a mid-journey stopover - As usual, we decided to split our drive south with a stopover. And this time we selected the Banbury Town Centre Premier Inn, and we’re so glad we did.
Parking is easy, with multi-story car parks next to the hotel, and charges were very reasonable.
The hotel itself is modern and situated next to the canal quayside. It appears that all rooms have a view over the Oxford Canal. Our fourth floor room was clean and tidy, with an ample sized en-suite bathroom.
After checking in we headed out for a short walk along the canal, and then into town to Banbury Cross. The town centre is charming with bars and independent restaurants close to the hotel, but don’t expect many to be open on a Sunday afternoon.
After our evening meal we enjoyed a glass of vino from the hotel bar outside on their terrace.
The buffet breakfast was well laid out in the hotel restaurant, and staff were very efficient at seating people and making tables ready for diners. I think we’d definitely consider staying at this hotel again, the next time we drive to Surrey or beyond.
- lorrie1554 (4/5): - Room dirty, not suitable for disabled guests you have to walk 400 mts to get into the reception, poor quality food 😕 disappointed
- King F (6/5): Property hard to find and no house keeping - The hotel is located in a shopping mall and the property is NOT visible from any road. No sign pointing to the hotel either. Very hard to find the hotel. The room is clean and everything worked.
No house keeping for the 3 days we stayed. All meals must be pre-purchased.
- Pioneer63434185269 (10/5): Excellent service - Arrived very early for the official book in time.
Elvita was on reception and proved what an excellent asset she is to this hotel.
She enquired as to whether our room was ready….we’re so early it was not. However she arranged for early book in and asked if we could wait 20 minutes. She promised to let us know when room was ready and did!
Very impressed with the service she gave. A real asset to the company.
Thanks
- Monkeyboyz (10/5): Quick break with the kids - Great location for families with lots to do in the immediate viscoscity whatever the weather.
Easy parking directly next door, plenty of restaurants and entertainment options on the doorstep, including bowling, arcade, pool, cinema, some quirky local shops and pubs.
- terrylanfranco (10/5): Excellent value for money - A truly enjoyable experience. The hotel is located in a very central area, making it easy to walk to all the main attractions and restaurants. The room was modern and well-maintained, with all the necessary comforts. The staff were professional and attentive, always ready with helpful suggestions. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, with options for those with dietary restrictions as well. Excellent value for money — highly recommended!
- sofiacC433YH (10/5): Amazing atmosphere - The room was spotless, the staff were incredibly friendly,. The only downside was the limited breakfast options. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for your next travel adventure!” We loved everything! I highly recommend Premier Inn for its cozy rooms, serene atmosphere and customer service. A big thumbs up
- mihag2019 (10/5): good sleep - "The room was impeccably clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable.
The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, making our stay feel truly special
The restaurant's food was tasty and freshly made, and the service was attentive and efficient
The hotel had a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.”
- Guide39210146406 (2/5): Cold breakfast - I walked in this morning for breakfast @ 10 ask if still doing breakfast the young lady said yes but only till 10,30 I said don’t worry but she said it’s ok well £11 pounds later the sausage was hot the eggs was hard everything else was Lukewarm nobody asked me if the food was good as I was eating the table around me was being cleared it’s not a pleasant experience because you feel now you’re being rushed. Would definitely not go back to Banbury
- 684zakb (10/5): Great staff, lovely hotel - Great experience, the reception staff were beyond lovely helping me with early check in.
The rooms are clean and breakfast is good! The location is amazing and is near lots of good restaurants and shops! Definitely worth considering this as the hotel to stay at if you find yourself Banbury way in the future
- tabby365 (2/5): Disgusting customer service - Took money from my account after stay was cancelled and still no contact from them. I cancelled my room as I decided to stay at Banbury M40 instead which I paid out right for. On the morning of leaving there Banbury town centre took £94 out of my bank for a cancelled room. I’ve been ringing and emailing various departments since December with no reply. Absolutely disgusting won’t be booking with Premier Inn again.
- Loxxlee (8/5): 80th Birthday stopover - Stayed for one night the week before Xmas. A lovely location overlooking the quay and narrow boats. Many thanks to the staff for the upgrade to a fabulous room and beautiful birthday flowers in the room. You really made this a special day. Would happily stay again when in the area. Parking very easy and multi story two minute walk from hotel.
- janebK5419LL (8/5): Shameful compenation to a genuine complaint. - I recently wrote to Premier Inn with a real and valid complaint, from our room not being ready til an hour after check in, to only have tea, coffee, cups & towel for one despite the room being for two. Having to clean my breakfast table to searching for cutlery and lay the table ready to eat, to there not being food and juice at breakfast, to paying for what should have been courtesy coffees, to being charged for 2 full english breakfasts when one was the english and the other continental, too the cleaners coming in 20 mins early without knocking first!! 6 people (incl myself) from our group of 9 complained. My friend got a free weekend in compensation and i received a total of £2.89 in compensation. I am absolutely disgusted with the unfairness of how they decided to compensate us. Shocking treatment from what i always thought was a good hotel chain. Money grabbing b******s!
- isabelm123456 (10/5): Great Stay! - Great location right across from loads of restaurants, a cinema, and activities. Friendly staff, and brilliant room. Comfy and quiet with a great shower. I’d definitely come back as I was pleasantly surprised!
Upgraded to a Premier Plus room for free on check in, so that was a bonus!
