Guest Reviews
- joshcW9545LC (10/5): Fantastic experience - Lovely Team - Absolutely wonderful service and experience from start to finish, Jordan was very helpful with my enquiry about charging in the car park. Professional and friendly as well were all the staff. Jasmine, Jayne and Paula. All the team went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I really enjoyed the breakfast and I'd look forward to coming again if I'm up here working.
- Ljungberg2 (10/5): A fantastic warm welcome; great good & great atmosphere. - We returned to the hotel for a short stay after undergoing major surgery earlier in the year. Upon arrival we were cheerfully welcomed by Tyler & Iestyn who immediately asked how the operation went and how I was feeling. Then we checked into our room and there was a pleasant surprise - a welcome back card and treats courtesy of Jayne, Head of Housekeeping. The personal touch was superb and sincerely appreciated. The atmosphere was great and the food exceptional. The sea bass was cooked to perfection and the best we’ve had in Pembrokeshire for a long time. Having an on site car park is so beneficial as well - a huge plus.
- MarkyP264 (8/5): Where's The Staff At? - I need an overnight stop whilst working in the area, I also added an early check in to my room.
I found the hotel easily and also parked easily, loads of spaces and also some electric charging bays (bonus!). I had to wait a while to check in, which was frustrating as I wanted to check in and get some rest before work.
The room itself was typical Premier Inn fare, i.e. roomy, clean and comfortable.
Checking out also took a while, but all in all it was a good stay in a decent Premier Inn.
- sarahaU9579VZ (10/5): ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Stay – Truly Looked After - I stayed at the Premier Inn with my 6-year-old son while my partner was having surgery at lister hospital, and honestly the team were amazing from start to finish. Being from Birmingham, it already felt a bit daunting being away from home in such a stressful time, but they really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.
One lady especially – Tara – was absolutely brilliant. She didn’t just do her job, she genuinely cared. She checked in on us, made sure we had everything we needed, and was just so warm and accommodating. Little things she did made such a big difference when I was feeling worried and tired.
The hotel was clean, quiet and exactly what we needed, but it was the staff that made it stand out. Thank you to the whole team, and especially Tara, for making a difficult week that bit easier. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
- ashaV6153JC (10/5): Great experience and great staff - Excellent service, food was great and a big thanks to Tara and Terry, they have been super friendly and helpful whilst I stayed there.
Will stay there again as and when needed.
- timmV4156IE (10/5): Great room and staff at a good price - Friendly staff helped us check in. Really nice room and comfy beds, nice breakfast the following morning. Couldnt find a fault at all.
- J6903MNjacquib (10/5): Friendliest Ever Staff - From reception to kitchen staff were all so friendly, best ever in Premier Inn. Special shout out to Jayne, Lou, Paula, Holly, Gordon, Ash and Will
- buddharocks44 (10/5): A very comfortable bed. - Stopped for one night as the bed in our rented cottage aggravated my back and I could'nt stay the last night there.
I am pleased to say that I had a wonderful nights sleep after 3 days in pain.
Good customer service and great breakfast, which as a Whitbread shareholder comes free.
Thank you.
- Curious45731905730 (10/5): Happy customer - This hotel was one of the best we stayed in. Comfy bed, very clean and tidy. Very quiet and only a short walk to st davids. The shower was to die for and over all the best choice. We will be back for sure
- Maps55993097712 (10/5): Amazing staff - What astonishingly friendly, courteous staff. From plasters for our grandchild to squeezing us in when we had forgotten to book a meal.
- tillytyler (10/5): Excellent service and food at The Social. - Room was nice and clean, reception staff were very warm and friendly.
Lucy gave extremely good customer service in The Social. Food was nice, atmosphere good.
- 830nigell (10/5): Excellent relaxing stay - Another excellent stay . Staff always friendly & helpful. Even better now they have opened their own dinning and drinks restaurant within the hotel building
- D5001DZadeleg (10/5): The best night - Just perfect ,lovely staff ,easy check in clean room and amazing breakfast amd breakfast staff, so welcoming and nothing too much , especially holly, matty and breakfast lady ,thoroughly enjoyed
- tinabG5255DX (10/5): A great stay in St Davids - We spent a very enjoyable three nights at the St Davids Premier Inn. Easy to park, a very warm welcome at reception and a comfortable, cosy room.
- B7364DHpauld (10/5): From reception to check-out, everything exceeded my expectations. - From reception to check-out, everything exceeded my expectations.
- The hotel was easy to find.
- The location was great with a very conveniently short walk to town.
- All staff throughout my stay were very helpful and welcoming.
- The keycard-based access security was easy to use and reassuring.
- Signage was clear and accurate.
- My room was clean and tidy.
- The facility was very quiet.
- The bathroom was spotless and the shower was the best I can remember in any similarly priced hotel (and some more expensive)
- The hot and continental breakfasts were great value and offered a great selection, including items suitable for my vegan diet.
All in all, I very much enjoyed my stay, despite the weather while I was there!
I will definitely book there again the next time I am in town for the Boia Music Festival.
- U665JHpatriciam (10/5): Lovely Stay - Had a fabulous stay with a friend for a friend’s reunion. Big shout out to Jax, Sharon and Tara for making us so welcome and looking after us. We will definitely be back.
- tljtimpani (10/5): Excellent training week - We were a group of about thirty, staying in St David's for a residential training week, Monday to Friday. We had four nights, four breakfasts and four evening meals at the Premier Inn, and used the St David's cathedral education centre and restaurant during the day.
The Premier Inn was frankly excellent. The rooms were spotless, the beds were comfortable, the food was consistently good, with enough variety on the menu for everyone to be happy through the week. But what made it better than good was the attitude of the staff: we were genuinely welcomed, and through the whole week the staff were cheerful, efficient and whenever we had any kind of problem they were immediately helpful.
As a package, the whole thing worked well: good accommodation and meals, a pleasant 15 minute walk (or 3 minute drive) to the education centre, and really pleasant, competent staff. We had a very positive week.
- SummertimeLady (10/5): Birthday treat. - Excellent stay in a lovely area. Friendly staff on arrival and throughout our stay.We paid extra for a room with a nice view and was not disappointed. It was my birthday and on arriving to our room the staff had left me a small bottle of wine and a card. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice, we had evening meal on 2 nights, which was very nice. Would we stay again?absolutely.
- kemmih2025 (4/5): Rudeness - There was a mix up with the rooms where we got a 3 bed room but booked a 4 bed room
Breakfast was okay at first but the next morning half of the food wasnt there and barely any staff
- wendygM6722ZZ (10/5): St David's, Pembrokeshire - We spent 3 nights at St David's Premier Inn in October 2025. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel had a friendly atmosphere and was very clean and well presented.
- clarefI9397RH (10/5): Great service from the team - I stayed at Premier Inn Stevenage and wanted to shout out and thank the whole team - Tara Hotel Manager, Alexia, Jax & Sharon.. Great service - thank you.
One suggestion to improve is menu - it would be super to have options such as jacket spuds on the menu - cheap but nutritious!
Thank you
- hev538 (10/5): Very welcoming friendly staff excellent foof - From the moment I walked through the door I was attended to straight away, I was already booked in but my husband was having a big operation at the Lister which is next door. They soon booked me in for an earlier check in and for a single woman staying alone in a sensitive time all of the staff were so welcoming and asked me how I was and how my husband was.
Big thank you to Tara Sharon Alexia Dominique and Lewis. The hotel is so comfortable food excellent but cannot praise the staff enough. I will be recommending to all my friends as the best Premier Inn I have stayed in.
- louB765HJ (10/5): We'll be back!! - We had another lovely stay at St Davids. The staff were very attentive and friendly.
The room was clean and comfortable and we slept well. The only downside was lack of suitable coffee pods provided.
Will definitely be back for another stay.
- heath922 (10/5): Relaxing short break. - The hotel is very clean, both restaurant and rooms. Check in was easy, so was validating the car registration for free parking.
Our room was spacious and we had a bath and shower.
The meal deal is great, I'm vegan and had several choices. My partner enjoyed the fish and chips and the gammon. Plenty of breakfast options too.
Staff were friendly and helpful too.
The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre and we could leave the car safely parked while going off exploring.
The only small let down was the free WiFi which was so slow that we gave up trying to use it.
- worldgirl87 (10/5): Comfortable stay - Excellent and comfortable stay before a day out at alton towers. Slept very well. Room was clean and plenty towels . Tea and coffee available. Breakfast was very good with plenty choice. Staff were friendly and helpful at checkin.
- susantU2340PO (2/5): Bad experience - I had to move in as there was work being done in the flats where I live, I arrived 12th October, there was one seat in the room which was badly marked on the seat so could not use it but that was the only seat in the room so it was very uncomfortable to have to sit on the bed to watch TV.
On the Friday i had to ask reception if we could have some clean towels and the room cleaned as it had not been touched all week, when I arrived back in the Saturday evening the room had not been touched and there was no clean towels either.
I will not stop in another premier inn again as I think this is not good enough.
- B9805VSnaomih (8/5): Weekend stay - Diolch i chi. The staff, namely Sue and Chris, were lovely. Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. A quiet, convenient location. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh.
Self- check in is not ideal, as guests may have questions. However, we will be back, thank you.
- vicsclassicautos (2/5): Not worth the money - This was the most expensive premier inn I have ever paid .
It was over £150 a night.
The classic bike show was on at stafford and the location was good however if I had known I was going to stay at faulty towers I would have rather booked elsewhere and traveled further.
The toilet seat was broken and there was no aircon ...the window only opened about 6 inches and most of the staff miserable .
The hotel looked like a building site and the restaurant was shut .
For the inconvenience I was offered a very very poor takeaway breakfast which never arrived the first morning and the second morning it was there but not worth having.
Complained and still waiting for a partial refund of £80
- A215UTandyk (8/5): Peaceful location - Good sleep and good location, Breakfast good but not replenished when options used,Also Adjoining pub for food in the daytime the shire horse was expensive .
- shelleycB5954IT (10/5): Amazing hotel with amazing staff - I stayed at this hotel last weekend with my husband, excellent hospitality for the minute I walked through the door. Hotel was lovely clean and welcoming. Room are beautiful and smelt amazing. Staff were very attentive with a little mention for Sharon and Jackie who were amazing. visited the restaurant in the morning had a lovely breakfast. Will 100% be back when next time I’m in town 😀
- F72GBglens (10/5): Amazing staff - Amazing staff, Tara, Alexia and Kian were brilliant on the reception and in the restaurant. The chefs cook quality food and there is a good atmosphere in the new Social restaurant. High quality room, just what I needed and in a good location with plenty of things to do in town.
- pomme1uk (10/5): Hurricane - Had a great experience here, did have an issue with the room, but when we approached the friendly staff we were quickly and professionally dealt with, and offered a new room.
All the staff were great, especially on the Tuesday morning, despite being late down to breakfast we were looked after by the wonderful Paula (chef), Jayne, Tash, and Jord. Nothing was too much trouble.
Will definitely stay again.
Thanks!
- 857stepheng (6/5): Don't have Room 102... - We always stay at the Hurricane Hotel to break the journey when we come back down from visiting my elderly Mother in Lancashire, so we have stayed a few times now. We often joke that we have to walk miles to our room as it is normally at the far end of the building. Not this time though... We were in room 102 which is on the first floor directly above reception and opposite the door to the lift. So we had constant banging noises from the doors (not loud, just irritating and disturbing) throughout the night (even in the early hours of the morning). This was a disappointment as 99 times out of 100 we always have a great stay at Premier Inns. I shall just remember to ask for a room away from the reception area next time we stay.
The guest(s) in the room above must not have got their allotted steps in for that particular day as they were constantly pacing up and down the room! (Not that the hotel is responsible for this issue.)
- c898dba (8/5): All fine, a calm and quiet hotel - My 2nd stay here. No sign of bedbugs as previous reviews mention, so don't be put off. The room was spotlessly clean. Everything you come to expect from a Premier Inn. It's quiet and functional. Sleep quality was good.
2 minor negatives:
The check in experience was underwhelming. Nobody on the desk on arrival nd just a self check in machine. When I was struggling, a young lad who was working by the bar just said "how are you getting on with the machine?". Nobody actually greeted me or said "welcome/hello" or explained about the restaurant etc. The hotel does seem to lack that human touch.
Also, the food in the attached restaurant is below average. Quite pricey considering the small portions that you get. I only ate there two or three times.
Other than that, good value overall and I had a pleasant stay.
- iangQ6171RV (10/5): Bikers Delight - access all routes - Clean and tidy, with welcoming and helpful staff. Plenty of parking though no specialised for motorcycles. Room was spot on, large, well appointed warm, quiet, and clean. Breakfast was well organised and plentiful.
- A1712SNrichardk (10/5): Acknowledgement to the Chef (Will) - We had a great stay as usual and I wanted to write that the Chef (Will), was fantastic. As I am a plant based eater. Will always ensured that I was well catered for.
So a big thank you !
- aneeqaamira (10/5): Wonderful stay Saturday 27th September - I had a fantastic stay on 27th September. Kian and Jackie were welcoming and attentive, and Tara arranged a perfect, spotless room. Breakfast was excellent, and the stay made our family celebration even more special.
The breakfast was delicious and I will return.
- bluemoon123 (10/5): Enjoyable stay Nice Staff - Ideally situated twenty minutes walk to Stevenage old town just off the A1. Our twin room was at the front and we were not troubled by traffic noise we had a very good night sleep. As previous reviews stated there is no air conditioning just a fan in the room if required but we didnt find this a problem. There is a nice in house restaurant /bar if you require a meal in the evening we choose to have breakfast which was in our opinion very good. The bonus for us was the staff smiled and were very helpful it was a good experience and we would return again when in the area thanks Bluemoon
- S2619RDdavidc (10/5): Clean and comfortable. A reliable choice - Premier Inns are convenient, clean and comfortable with a good range of breakfast choices. Only one downside - toasters are a bit slow!
- maM7733IF (10/5): best premier inn in the UK - the friendliest staff team i have ever experienced and it made my teams 3 days stay perfect, they were so professional and helpful a real credit to their organisation - clone the team and put them in hotels throughout the UK as they could all learn from them we wish them all well and will stay there again when we return on our next business trip to the area perfect!!
- liseanneg2016 (10/5): Great hotel - BEWARE FREE PARKING - Great hotel in a lovely location but beware free parking. Just received TWO £100 parking fines for the 2 days I stayed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- 36carolynj (10/5): Great visit as always - Another great stay. Staff attentive, accommodation comfy and clean, location great. Toby? who served us for our evening meal was great. We will be back
- H8022TEmarkf (10/5): Lovely stay - What a lovely start to my holiday, hotel was clean and well managed and the staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was very tasty, hot and cooked beautifully.
Thanks
Mark
- 438lailai (10/5): Happy - Maryam at the reception Extremely friendly and helpful and really iked the breakfast
It was good overall stay was comfortable
- 23jennieb (10/5): Excellent service - Can not praise the wonderful Maryam enough. Helped this weary traveller out with an IT problem that helped him on his way on a trip from Penzance to Inverness.
- rhianw505 (10/5): Excellent - Excellent location, amenities, service and value for money. Spacious & clean rooms. Highly recommended for a short, family stay.
- jamessN946VK (10/5): Good customer service - Martin was kind and cheerful. Tom gave me an extra fan to cool my room. The room on the ground floor is cooler. Checkin was strictly after 3pm. The building was quiet.
- MT1045 (10/5): The Business Trip at Premier Inn Hurricane North Stafford - Maryam at the reception was fantastic! She was warm, welcoming, and made a great first impression. Excellent service!
- joycebJ6941GP (8/5): Great stay. - Great stay. Staff incredibly friendly & helpful. Room very good, great shower. Food fairly basic but good. Handy for St David’s centre.
- simondO4360DV (4/5): Sweaty Night - Nice looking place, but you can't see the back of.yhe hotel. There is an embankment going up to the 2nd floor. This means there is no air movement and with no air conditioning it's like a sauna during the night. Worst night's sleep I've had at a main steam hotel chain. It is advertised as free WiFi, but to be able to stream to your phone or tablet will cost £5, the basic "free" WiFi doesn't allow this.
- Q6537DPbrendag (2/5): False advertisement - No restaurant to eat in although it is advertised as having a betrayer on site but this had closed over a year ago
Not able to use the bar as not enough staff on duty
- K3750VJpaulinel (8/5): Ideal location - Ideal location, rooms clean and staff very friendly the only downside is there's no air conditioning so it was uncomfortable as the fan you get is very noisy and it blows the warm air around
- johnhW485VN (10/5): Calming experience - First time visit to premier inn st.davids. After a hot weather and busy schedule previous week this is just what I needed. Modern building with free parking and went bed and breakfast, everything I expected was there. I will return.
- J6887PEjamiet (10/5): Wonderful Breakfast Experience with Amazing Staff. - I came in for breakfast and had such a lovely experience. Tara, the hotel manager, was very welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. In the restaurant, Jacks was extremely friendly and took the time to explain the process of the new setup, which I really appreciated. Sharon was also kind and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly.
The food itself was amazing—fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. Dominique, the chef, even came out to introduce herself at the hot food station, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience feel very personal.
Overall, the service and food were excellent. A big thank you to the whole team for making breakfast such a great start to the day!
- 587spencerc (10/5): Super helpful, friendly hard working staff. - So, firstly I'd like to say the staff are super helpful and friendly. Alexia always greets you with a huge welcoming smile, as does Jax and Kian. These 3 stand out to me as really good, dedicated employers. Keep up the good work guys.
My only negative was the lack of AC in the room. However, I know the staff have no control over this.
- alanc145 (10/5): Excellent service - Very friendly staff, room excellent, food both in an evening and breakfast were good. Enjoyable stay very good service cannot fault. Will certainly visit again.
- Lynn (6/5): - This was the second Premier Inn we’ve stayed at on our trip and was far superior to the previous one. Property appears newer and better organized. The room was well maintained, clean and comfortable. Air con is set at permanent 19C, which is a bit warm for us at night, but manageable. Breakfast was decent. Our main issue was that we had requested a specific room type through Expedia’s “message the property” system and they claim they don’t receive those requests and we would have to speak to Expedia about it. The location is a bit more than 1 km from the centre but it worked for us.
- ayodejio741 (10/5): Good deal - I enjoyed my stay, staff were friendly.
Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good as well.
Great value for money.
- Pandapops888 (8/5): Standard room and experience - Needed somewhere to stay at short notice and even though was more expensive than we needed it to be we stayed here due to premier inn having a 12pm check-out time
- Mulder35 (10/5): Lovely staff - Went here last week for my mums birthday. Was welcomed by Tara on the front desk with a lovely smile and welcome as always. The staff knew it was my mums birthday and went above to make her birthday and stay amazing. We always come to this hotel when we come to stevenage to vist family. The whole staff are like family/ friends now. The breakfast is nice cooked by a lovely lady cheff( sorry did not catch her name).
But all the staff here are lovely and chatty. Tara and her team is what makes this hotel great they work so hard and always friendly with a chat and a smile. Sharon , Lewis, alexia jax, Kian we have already booked another stay.
- Thomas (10/5): - Stopped for one night, perfect choice. They offered dinner and breakfast, the breakfast was very tasty. I went into the city for dinner, can be easily walked.
