- Sofia (2/5): - Las reseñas de 5 estrellas son porque si los reseñas bien te regalan el taxi al aeropuerto. El hotel es un desastre. La habitación que nos asignaron tiene vista a un cartón, el baño a un pasillo. La otra ventana tiene salida al desayunador del hotel y está frente al ascensor, no hay privacidad en absoluto. Muy ruidosa e incómoda. Además de todo esto, los enchufes están detrás de las almohadas. Peligroso además de todo lo anterior. Adjunto imágenes que describen la situación.

- Danielle (10/5): - I chose this hotel for the convenience of its location and for the beautiful terrace, but Kantu by far exceeded my expectations. The hotel was even more beautiful in person. The staff was nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and had a large selection. They cleaned my room everyday and provided fresh towels daily. The only thing this hotel lacked was a refrigerator in the room, however, they refrigerated everything i needed in the kitchen refrigerator and always got it for me when i needed something. I would love to stay at this hotel again!

I wasn't given a room with a panoramic vista and I don't believe a room exists with this description. I complained to the hotel and they promised the correct room the next day. I still didn't get it. I then complained to Expedia who didn't really care and told me the hotel policy was not to give a refund or compensation for booking a higher rated room and not getting it. I have now started using another website to book hotels.
- benjamin (10/5): Great hotel - Kantu hotel is a really good choice. It is in a central location in Cusco and the staff are friendly and accommodating. We stayed either side of 2 treks and they stored our bags without question. If I visit Cusco again I would go there

Breakfast excellent due to fresh fruits. Guests apparently from a wide variety of countries, practical types. Were very happy staying there.

- Elizabeth (10/5): - Margarita and her staff went above and beyond the week I stayed there in September of 2025. Though she is a manager, she helped with my luggage upon arrival and departure. She knew I was traveling alone and would be without people I knew for my birthday, and she went out of her way to ensure I had a wonderful birthday and week, with a small present, a chocolate treat and a personalized, colorful birthday note. She also assisted me with small things and it meant the world to me. Her staff also provided world class service, and assisted with the heating instructions, changing the language on the television, helping me unlock the door when my hands were full, extra room cleaning and more. The breakfast buffet is lovely, my room was gorgeous, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the heater was excellent. Tue location is outstanding, the staff is incredible ( especially the manager Margarita, Grace, Angie, Reno, Frank and the entire breakfast / cleaning staff. Thank you, Margarita and Kantu staff for making my birthday week memorable and thanks for your world class hospitality. You all work very hard , take pride in your work and sincerely care about your guests . Thank you.

Gave them my passport like normal and then had to sign the guestbook and enter my passport information again. Everyone’s information is there for all to see. Very old school. Breakfast was OK. It’s hard to rest when there’s slamming of the doors from other guest or pulling furnitures like chairs downstairs. We stayed on the 4th floor and yet we can hear chairs being dragged from the 1st floor.

Upon arriving, I knocked on the door because there was NO SIGN that says “ring the bell, do not knock”. A guy comes out and says “do you not see the bell, you cannot knock the door”. Uhm excuse me? Did you put a sign!? That says ring the bell thats all the way to the top right side of the wall?. This guy wears glasses and was very rude upon arrival. My first night at this hotel was spent on the 4th floor. My bathroom was full of ANTS. The name of this hotel should be ANTU instead of KANTU cause it’s infested with ants. My sheets were DISGUSTING. They were so dirty I could not even grasp the reality of what was going on with this room. The towels smelled like wet dirty alpacas. And the WORST part of it all was that the heater connected to the wall did not work!!! I literally froze the whole night. The next day I spoke to someone at the reception and they said they would switch me to another room. To leave my bags packed and they would move everything for me. I specifically asked for a room with a heater that works and they said yes they would get me a room with a working heater. I come back from my tour that day and I am now on the second floor room 217. I walk in and there is no shower curtain in this room. Taking a shower was awful and painful due to the room being cold. The heater in

- Pablo (10/5): - Este hotel es MUY bueno, nos encantaron las habitaciones, con mucha ventilacion y luz. La habitacion 403 tiene una vista privilegiada hacia la Iglesia de San Cristobal a traves de los tejados. Las camas con grandes y comodas. El personal es muy amable y responden rapidamente a lo que necesitamos. El desayuno (incluido) es muy variado y rico, ademas cuando sales de excursion antes de las 6:30am te preparan un desayuno para llevar. Tambien tienen te de coca, de muna y otros las 24 hs a disposicion. Los muebles y ropa de cama son de muy buena calidad. El ascensor (de vidrio) es hermoso. En este hotel puedes dejar tus maletas sin cargo antes o despues de la entrada, nosotros las dejamos dos noches que nos fuimos a Ollantaytambo y fue sin cargo. La ubicacion esta muy buena, enfrente del mercado de San Pedro y muy cerca de un supermercado y una farmacia, a 5 cuadras de la plaza central.

- Blanca (10/5): - I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights as a solo female traveler. Excellent, walkable and safe location. Nice, comfortable room, tv was easy to connect w/streaming devices. I did notice that walls are thin, although i think thats common. Staff was very friendly. I had multiple early morning tour pickups and missed most breakfasts but they provided a to-go bag with a bottle of water, sandwich and two pieces of fruit.

Hotel is clean, staff is amazing, breakfast is one of the best I’ve had in Peru. I could not ask for a better stay. I left to Machupicchu and made sure to return to this same hotel. They have a lovely rooftop terrace that we used in the evening. Our only hiccup was that we asked for a taxi at a certain time to go to the airport, but they arrived about 15 minutes late.

This place may not be for you. The building is old and made of cement so noise travels at all hours. Besides that. I would stay there again. The roof top deck is nice and the views are pretty.

Just across from San Pedro market, 10/15 mins walk to Plaza de Armas. One complaint, walls are a thin, can hear outside noise. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
