Guest Reviews
- 459mcr (8/5): Perfect - Stayed for two nights for a football match and concert in London. Fabulous location literally a minute from Leicester Square and walking distance everywhere. Compact room but everything you need. Warm, comfy bed, hot shower. Very quiet. Perfect.
- Sw33t25 (10/5): Great location, friendly staff, clean - The location of this hotel is great. It was a 5 mins walk from Southwark tube station, its also opposite the Tate Modern meaning its a 5mins walk to the River. As soon as you walk in the downstairs area (The Social) is very clean and welcoming. Staff were very friendly, at check in and went we down for breakfast. The room was clean and spacious. Lots of information in the room regarding food/offers/how to use the heating system etc! We chose the continental breakfast in the morning and there was more than enough variety and lots of space to sit. Would definitely use this hotel again.
- 446heather50 (8/5): Overnight stay - Great staff service
Comfortable room with lovely walk in shower
Good menu and drink selection
Meal deal was very good value
- 214donatellas (10/5): Few days with family - It is close to the tube and the international station. It is very near to the national express stop. It is next to a great shopping centre. The staff is really kind and the room are clean.
- 562robl (2/5): Premier Inn Stratford London !!!!!!!!!!! 21 Spare rooms and no common sense.....Avoid - A great hotel we thought!
My plan was to stay here on the Friday night with work and my Wife and 2 boys join me on the Saturday to do a little Christmas shopping at the adjoining Westfield shopping centre. We parked the car and went to check in at the Premier Inn to freshen up before leaving to watch Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham which was my gift to the family before Christmas. Upon arriving at the desk a young lady couldn’t locate our booking from the reference i gave. I had changed my booking from Stratford on the Friday night to a Premier Inn Hub in Fitzrovia, closer to the work function i attended but was clearly told this wouldn't effect my Saturday night booking where i had reserved 2 twin rooms at £147 each as the hotel didn't have a family room available. When the Lady found my booking she called her colleague over (Luca Jesus) who claimed it was him i had spoken to, i thought at least this will sort out my room for the night! Anything but....he said after a 5 minute conversation that he SHOULD HAVE said to me on the phone i needed to rebook.....but i pointed out to him that he's right and should have however didn't..........i then asked ok we're here needing 2 rooms for tonight, do you have availability and secondly can you honour the £147 quoted previously ..... he said no and I’d have to book online as he couldn't take my booking, he also said they had 21 room available.....the problem was online the rooms were £444 each which i couldn't believe.....he offered absolutely no apology or help.....i turned to my wife and kids and said we'll have to drive the 3 hours home after the match at 11pm......I will say the lady who gave me his number was really apologetic but also couldn't help as the Manager had left 5 minutes earlier.
This completely ruined our weekend and could've been avoided with a little common sense. 21 free rooms and nobody willing to offer the rooms at a rate that was written in the notes on the booking on Premier Inns system.....
I will reconsider my hotel choice in future for both work and leisure.
Thanks
Rob
- 513darks (8/5): Convenient location, rooms a little lacking - Picked the hotel due to its proximity to Leicester Square and Covent Garden. The hotel itself was quiet, despite being right by a number of theatres are bars, and not only a short walk to the immediate tourist spots, but also a short distance from a few underground stations. (Charring Cross, Covent Garden and Leicester Square)
Room itself was generally fine. Room has a mix of regular plug sockets and some USP ports, but the USB ports were slow-charging, so I'd recommend having an adaptor with you.
While compact, the room didnt feel cramped, and the controls for the heating and lighting was simple enough to figure out.
Only issues with the room was the shower had a tendency to leak do to a wide gap when the shower doors are closed, and a lack of tea-making facilities in the room itself, with guests having to go to the bar in order to get hot drinks (Though coffee and tea is free for guests)
I think for 1 person, the rooms are the right size, could feel like a squeeze for 2, especially with only a small section to hand up cloths, and a single seat next to the bed.
- NortonerStratford (6/5): OK....but - We arrived at 10am and left our details and suitcases. When we arrived back at 3.45pm our room still wasn't ready, which was pretty disappointing when we had booked well in advance. We had been walking for 5 hours and really wanted to relax.
We were offered a complimentary drink, which was appreciated.
When we got into the room approximately 4.20pm there was only one set of towels. We asked for another set and had to chase up, as they did not arrive.
Overall, the room was very nice. Hotel staff were great and it is a good location for Borough Market and central London.
The PI hairdryers have improved and I understand why you fix them to the wall.....but it's hard trying to dry your hair with a dryer that only reaches 2ft.
We couldn't get the heating to work, so pretty chilly in the room.
All in all, not bad for a budget hotel in London.
- Go52830033608 (4/5): Would not return - First the good points. Great location if you’re doing theatre shows or tourist stuff. Plenty of nearby bars and restaurants. Rooms are very compact. Best for solo travellers. My room was freezing cold. The temperature controls did nothing to stop the unit blasting out cold air. Had to eventually obtain a portable heater. And I wasn’t the only person complaining about this. Also, three different wifi options appeared. Two of them (premier inn free wifi snd ultimate premier inn wifi) wouldnt connect at all and “hub by premier inn wifi” would connect, but for about 30 seconds at a time.
- elenatG2935LG (10/5): Ideal Location and Friendly Staff - I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. It’s practically in the city center, which made it incredibly convenient to reach all the main attractions on foot or by public transport. The room was a bit small, but it was comfortable and had everything I needed for a short stay. The staff were always kind, helpful, and ready to assist with any request. Overall, a great choice for anyone looking to explore the city with ease!
- Sofus1970 (4/5): Weekend in London - The carpet was so dirty that my socks turned black. We did have 2 rooms, and the same with both of them, all the water tabs do not have running water, they spray the water. The location is excellent, check in and out quickly, and they can keep your luggage if you have a late flight
- 649colinr (10/5): Great location - Great place to stay in the middle of it all great staff very clean and warm a must if you are staying over tea and coffee complimentary from the bar
- F8816LQagnesm (10/5): Lovely stay - Great location. Shopping, dinning and travel to city. Clean facility and great restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. My room was next to the entrance to the floor so it was a bit busy but it was quiet at 10PM.
- FarrahChaudhry (2/5): Awful service - Service was terrible. Though the staff were nice enough, the systems and processes to save money have really compromised this hotel chain. Everyone always seems to be overworked - they have the same people checking people in and working at the bar! So at times I was waiting 15 minutes to get what I asked for – fresh towers, toilet roll or whatever. Other times I'd be assured the things would be delivered to my room but then wouldn’t hear back from anyone. I've have to call to chase - no phones in the room as they don't want you to call them - but I'd just call from my mobile externally into the hotel. Again the automated operator sends the same message - they don't really want to deal with you at all and you're a nuisance. I stayed 4 nights and paid for a Premier Plus room with which you get free water daily. On a couple of occasions I had to really argue with them to give me this as they had run out of cheap still water so were trying to fob me off with sparkling (which I don't drink), they wouldn’t let me have a couple of bottles of water from behind the bar. I asked for a late checkout, I was happy to pay, but they insisted I come down to reception at 9am the next day to confirm. What’s the point of that? I wanted a lie in! I used to stay at this hotel a lot but never again. It wasn’t cheap either - £750 for just 4 nights! Awful service.
- C3477HMhelen (10/5): Brilliant hotel for shopping and Abba Voyage! - Lovely stay with my Mother and daughter this weekend. Hotel is very convenient for shopping and also attending Abba Voyage concert.
We were warmly welcomed and had a lovely room with very comfortable beds.
Breakfast was organised well and the staff friendly. Big shout out to Sun, who was so friendly and attentive.
Very clean room too!
Monica on reception was so kind with answering questions and storing our luggage.
Just made a wonderful weekend for us all,
- thank you so much! Helen, Judith and Jessica xxx
- Coastal187433 (10/5): Great value & location - A great location and good value. The room was comfortable and quiet. As we were staying 2 nights we were advised to say if we wanted our room cleaned which sounds a great idea until you realise that you don’t have clean mugs for the second night stay so we had to opt for our room to be cleaned. Maybe having an option of a top up to give you clean mugs and more tea/coffee would be an option as I don’t think the room needed a full clean, although there is no towel rail to let towels dry so you also need fresh towels. The bar on an evening is lovely.
- C8913NMmariam (10/5): Very comfortable and a great location - The hotel staff were welcoming, and the room was cosy and clean. Bed was very comfortable and the light switches and charging plugs were conveniently located. As a solo traveller I felt safe and secure, and it was quiet. The breakfast was great value, with cafe au lait, fresh yogurt and fruit, etc. for only 6 pounds.
- Seaside45384421141 (10/5): Great place! - It was a great stay for my family. Spacious and clean room, very friendly staff who were more than helpful with everything we needed. Good bar, good food... I will definitely return on my next visit to London
- 147shaymaan (10/5): very cozy stay, comfy beds and impeccable cleanliness - À very cozy stay, comfy beds and impeccable cleanliness.
The staff members are supportive and friendly. Both breakfast and dinner menus were varied and had lots of healthy options. Viennoiseries always freshly baked. Calm even though the location in the middle of all touristy attractions.
- simonward444 (10/5): Short weekend break - Great location, clean and the staff where friendly polite and very helpful. Breakfast was £6 which is a bargain in london . not cooked but continental, which was more than adequate . Would stay again, only thing i would say rooms are small but you only use the hotel as as base to sleep so no issue for me but might be for others .
- S2857KBiana (10/5): Lovely friendly hotel. Perfect location. - Excellent friendly staff who were very helpful. Lovely clean room. The location is perfect for the Tate Modern and just a 5 minute walk down to the river. Easy access to Southwark tube for transport across the river to the theatres and the rest of London.
- Bathmother (10/5): Great value, clean hotel near Tate Modern - We were a group in four rooms. All rooms were very comfortable, clean and had tea and coffee making facilities. Great location near Tate Modern
- sarahgB9162GE (10/5): Great time away - Location and staff are amazing .
You get what you pay for yes rooms are small but all we needed was to sleep x this isn’t my first time so something brings me back again and again .
Clean and friendly
- Grumpy133 (2/5): Don't eat at this premier inn - Don't stay for food use the food in the shopping centre and restaurant they do not have a clue how you can get a ham and cheese toasties wrong 3 times is beyond belief how you can run a Sunday buffet with no food urgency is beyond belief especially when you have kitchen guy telling all customers Saturdays are always quite but Sunday are always like this 3 friends who never got to eat together as food not out and if it was out it was cold or hard asking for small plates for toast to be greeted by a shrug of shoulders and I don't no if we have any clean use a napkin that lovely with pancakes and honey
Watching a Italian family ask for the allergy menu 4 times no one gave it to them they left in the end a complete embarrassment I felt so sorry for them they could not get a refund as paid for there breakfast already do yourself a favour go somewhere else for food
The cleaning staff are wonderful for the rooms and so friendly just a pity your other staff are not
10/10 for there service and attitude in keeping rooms clean and smelling nice
- D6372SPdenisef (6/5): Disappointing Stay - Great location, short walk from station, close to shopping, bars, restaurants, events. This hotel has a virtual check in, it has lockers for luggage. There are no humans to help. If you arent 'tech savvy there could be problem's. Even the lockers need booking on line, you need good eye sight to input your code. The hotel was extremely busy hotel on this visit, few staff.
Our Evening meal was disappointing, forgotten items, adequate portions but poor quality . There was no crockery at breakfast and , no milk. Our room was clean but it was very hot and the air conditioning was extremely noisy. There is no reception and the only staff seen were bar and restaurant staff. We ha e stayed here before and have been very happy, however this time it was disappointing.
- S1329QSdavidh (10/5): Great time staff friendly and helpful - The Room is perfect for a one night stay it has everything you could need, its very bijou but you don’t need much for overnight.
- francescobI3593LM (10/5): Good stay in this Hotel for business trip in London. Advisable - The room was clean and quiet. The staff was kind and helpful with checking in and out and for any information. The breakfast was with large choice and good. The overall impression is quite positive.
- 802soniak (10/5): Perfect stay for London! - Always stay here when we come to London! Easy access into London with great tube line/service. Can park car in Westfield shopping centre car park. The staff are always super friendly and welcoming and the rooms, food and service are great! It’s cheaper than staying more central too. Would always recommend this hotel
- Mobile818018 (10/5): Lovely experience - We were extremely well looked after! The staff were helpful, welcoming & friendly. As a group of 55-65+ ladies their attentiveness was a very pleasant surprise. Thank you for looking after us!
- FarnboroughSnow (10/5): Best value hotel ever. - Fantastic location, excellent and secure facilities and staff so helpful. The continental breakfast was terrific.
Stayed on Sunday 2nd Nov 2025 as we went to the theatre to see Six.
Our bags were kept all day today Monday 3rd Nov while we shopped around London returning to collect our bags @ 6p.m.
Unbelievable value for money.
- Z4617SNseanf (6/5): Good location good friendly staff but needed a good clean , this hotel is tired. - We stayed for a couple of nights in a family room. The room was fine albeit the shower leaked very badly. There is no way this was not known already as the water damage had been there for a while. The public spaces were very tired the lifts had damaged buttons that were fixed by duct tape.
It’s clear that the cleaning time is focused on the rooms but there is not sufficient time for the other areas.
The staff were excellent, could not fault them. Having stayed in another Premier Inn recently it’s apparent that the business model is at fault and not the staff.
Premier Inn was once my go to as you knew what you were getting, unfortunately know it appears I still know what I am getting for the wrong reasons.
- ahV7539IU (4/5): Good Location Let Down by Poor Comfort and Service - Our stay was disappointing overall. The room was freezing cold, and despite asking the front desk three times, nothing was fixed until our last night. Some staff were rude and dismissive, insisting the heater worked when it clearly didn’t. The maintenance person was the only one who helped, showing us the correct settings so it finally worked — without him, we’d have spent another cold night.
The room itself was quiet and nicely dark with the blinds down, and the Covent Garden location was great for exploring. Sadly, these positives couldn’t make up for the discomfort and poor service, leaving the experience feeling frustrating and below expectations.
- silverpolis (8/5): My go to hotel in London. - Great value for money. The hotel has everything a solo traveler needs. The rooms are modern and quiet, but are starting to show some wear and tear. Very helpful staff and the location is just amazing!
- V5754UBjohnd (2/5): Waste of time - I have never known a hotel harder to do business with. I have called and just been left hanging by the events team. I have emailed and received no reply. I even called in personally and was told there was no one available to talk to.
I want to book a dinner for up to 50 people, but I have given up. I will go elsewhere.
- heyjude1966 (8/5): Excellent Hotel - Excellent location if attending Copper Box arena. The staff were very attentive and friendly.
There were a few issues at breakfast, not enough food/drinks and long queues.
We stayed in Premier Inn plus room which was great, just one issue with the hairdryer. It was attached to the wall with a very very short cable, not fit for purpose, I’m assuming it was a man’s idea to fix to wall in this manner. Ladies if you want to use a hairdryer I would advise bringing your own
- T5660PSsarahp (10/5): Perfect central location, a great base. - Great location close to Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square. Spotlessly clean room, very comfortable and perfect as a base and somewhere to sleep. Great value breakfast. Super friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again.
- Dazza2208 (10/5): Top notch stay quality hotel - Had only one night at this fabulous hotel great quality good food and drink meal deal exceptional very clean staff were amazing highly recommend
- janbergau (10/5): Brilliant staff! - The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, particularly Andrea, who helped us with our luggage.
The location is great!
- kellylR9589PT (10/5): Amazing little hub close to all central London sights and areas - Perfect! Room small but clean. Perfect for 2 travellers who are out and about and just using it as a hub and place to sleep. Great little breakfast and staff friendly and helpful. Very good hub for central London most things walkable.
- fionas386 (8/5): Easy trip - Stayed here night before catching Eurostar. Self check in so nice and easy. Social area in the hotel l, bar etc - we ate in Westfield as many restaurants on top floor. Mattress in hotel not the usual quality expected at Premier Inn.
We caught the fast train to St Pancras in the morning - took 7 minutes, the International station is right opposite the hotel so much easier than taking luggage through Westfield then catching 2 tubes (30 mins).
Self check out also so smooth trip.
- Y608WIsuee (10/5): Thumbs up - What a lovely welcome from the staff. They were warm and friendly and very cheerful. The room was spotless, breakfast good.. bed fab!
- timg604 (10/5): London weekend for husband & wife - The hotel location was superb, Leicester Square, Soho, Covent Garden all within a couple minutes walk. The room was small but for the centre of London I didn't expect it to be big. The hotel itself was clean & tidy & the staff were friendly.
There are 2 theatres within spitting distance & we didn't have any issues with noise on the Saturday night. There are plenty of coffee shops/bakery's for breakfast & places to dine out if you don't want to eat at the hotel.
- S9137MAkeithb (6/5): Could do better - The staff were nice as was the food, however the room wasn't up to an expected standard. There was no plug in the sink, mould or dirt on the tiling grout and dirt and damp in the bathroom. As we only stayed one night we didn't take the issues up with the Hotel.
- S30472 (10/5): Great hotel, clean and friendly - Some of the previous reviews are a little silly. I don't know what you expect for the price your paying but this is a perfectly nice hotel in a great location. My room was clean and had everything I needed for a one night business stopover in Covent Garden.
If I had to be picky, the carpet was a little worn, but what do you expect in an extremely busy hotel in a very popular tourist area? The carpet gets a lot of footfall folks. Everything else clean and in good working order, bed very comfortable, air con worked great and kept me just right. Very quiet room, barely heard another human.
Area is vibrant lots of places to eat and things to see and do.
- fionnualac732 (10/5): Nice and Friendly - Perfect for my needs, lovely and nice staff, great breakfast and fantastic tomato soup. Was only there for bed and breakfast but downstairs area looked very inviting.
- W3041VLmartino (10/5): Superb London Sojourn in Covent Garden - When I entered the room, i thought this might better be called "a closet." But after a few minutes I discovered its design more than compensated for its size. For a solo traveler it offered everything I needed for an enjoyable and comfortable 5-day stay. While the room was small it was smartly designed to make it extremely comfortable. It was modern and clean and everything -- including its free wikfi -- in perfect working condition. The staff was friendly and helpful -- and the speedy lifts were constantly working. The room was very quiet with no sound from adjacent occupants. Hot water was plentiful and showers were excellent -- as were the more than generous towels. The bed and comforter and pillows -- all superb to provide a restful and comfortable stay. I can't image my room would work for more
than a single person. But for one person, such as myself, it was absolutely terrific -- especially for the hotel being in such a tremendously great location! Just around the corner from the Leicester Square TKTS booth plus St. Martin's and the National Portrait Gallery. And right in the heart of Covent Garden's theatre and restaurant district. This was a great find!
- melissarG7674FG (10/5): Great stay - First time staying - some reservations after looking at the reviews - but it was great, yes the rooms are small, but clean and comfy, fine for me on my own for a couple of nights and in a great location too. Staff were friendly
- b00sun (10/5): Eat in is my top tip - Reviewed before so this is an update
Firstly staff from maintenance to cleaners to reception to bar and to kitchen are all so polite friendly and efficient. Particular shout out to Monica on reception and bar for such gracious efficient and polite service and to Ivan on bar and restaurant who remembered on a previous stay we were meeting our son for dinner - that is remarkable given the footfall through that hotel - worthy of a top class hotel for guest experience
Also THANKYOU to the very engaging chef for the chats and the food - I’ve eaten out a lot in the area and the menu here is really extensive - masses of choice, some unusual options and very flexible with option to share starters. Really very impressed with the variety and quality
- stephanieoF3365PF (10/5): Excellent. Highly recommend - Great location. Friendly staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Good quality breakfast. Super addition of having a late bar
- karensS8135CQ (6/5): Great location, clean and comfortable room but really poor checking in service - We stayed at the hotel as attending the Abba Voyage experience - whilst the location was great for both the parking and getting to the venue and the hotel was clean and comfortable - the checking in service was extremely poor - taking way too long with huge queues forming
- Abigail (10/5): - We stayed at the Hub by Premier Inn Covent Garden for 5 nights and we were very pleased. While the room is quite small, we didn't spend much time in it, and it was efficiently laid out to allow for maximum use of space (e.g., pull-out luggage rack under bed). We did end up "flipping" the pillows to the other end of the bed to allow for both of us to use the shelf as a nightstand, since the mattress was against 2 sides of the room. The hotel was a quick walk from 2 Underground stations as well as a bus stop, with many dining/bar options available within walking distance as well.
Additionally, we were very pleased with the staffs quick response to an issue on our first night - our air conditioner unit was dripping and creating a large puddle on the carpet. We spoke to the staff and they immediately moved us to another room. They were very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend!
- JehovahElshaddai (10/5): Good value - Quiet area, good breakfast, nice clean rooms. The staff are nice and welcoming. It's a 12 minutes wlak from the train station so we started every morning with a nice walk in the area, so keep in mind if you have trouble with walking.
- lisajaynel2025 (10/5): wonderful - excellent location and lovely staff fabulous room and very clean I was super impressed with the value and location as well as the lovely room and facilities
- Andrea (10/5): - La ubicación del hotel es buenísima, muy cerca de varios puntos. La habitación está muy bien y el servicio también.
- ElaineFerrieHair (10/5): Excellent Hotel Highly Recommend - Excellent Hotel. Great Service.
Chis front of house, was incredible, very informative, very helpful . As a group of 7 stayed 2 nights for our Sisters 70th Birthday . Great area, easy access for Jubilee Line. Pubs close by, 2 Supermarkets close too.
We will definitely return to this Hotel. Highly Recommend
- Mark-W-York (4/5): Expensive basic hotel. - Convenient location for the Stratford area, but nothing really stands out at this overpriced hotel.
There are much nicer Premier Inn hotels in London.
- Patricia (10/5): - localização ótima, quarto pequeno mas bom e funcional
- mrleachie (10/5): Premier Inn Tate Modern - Naturally with London there were plenty of Premier Inn options to choose from. And I'm glad we picked here! The location was great, a short walk you were either at Tate Modern, The Shard, Borough Market or Southwark Station. We had a Premier Inn Plus room and it was modern and very clean. The staff as well were friendly. Next time I visit London, I would happily stay here again!
- VANESSA VIRIDIANA (6/5): - La habitación es pequeña para el costo pero es lo normal en la ciudad, el personal es el menos amable de todos los hoteles donde me quede. Hay mejores opciones en la zona .
- Andres (4/5): - No Hot Water, Rude Front Desk Staff, Excellent Location
- Dick (10/5): - Definitely great for solo travelers.
- tinatinatinawinmill (10/5): Great Stay - Our first visit since the refurbishment, which is lovely! Very chic!
Same warm welcome from the staff. Very friendly for a London hotel.
This hotel is spotless. The food and drink deals are exceptionally good value for London.
We stay when we visit The Globe, its literally a short walk. I can't fault this hotel. Can't wait to return.
- I4218SLgarethm (10/5): A very pleasant stay - Very helpful and friendly staff. Nice sized, comfortable room. Good evening meal and breakfast. Would both recommend and stay here again.
- 578stuartt (8/5): Clean safe and comfortable - It does what it says on the box, its a clean room with a comfortable bed helpful staff and close to transport options would stay at this primmer inn again if in London again
- Ashmore2019 (10/5): Best Premier Inn in London - Although this is a chain hotel it felt more like a boutique stay due to the attentiveness of the staff and how they went out of their way to help.
- Bethy (10/5): - Like: Convince, WIFI, clean room, walkable
Dislike: Breakfast is lame just slices of bread, croissant, and cereal. NO protein.
Good thing about breakfast is at least there's tea, coffee and Oregon juice
- Helen (10/5): - Very recommended 👌
- STEWART (8/5): - Tiny room but clean and the location is very convenient for London tourism.
- Kevin (10/5): - Good location, nice hotel with good room in the middle of LRecommendedondon and close to many sites.
