Guest Reviews
- Maxwell (2/5): - Rental is listed as a hotel but it isn't. Photos show a full kitchen yet nothing is provided except empty drawers and cupboards. No cups, glasses, plates, pots, pans, utensils, kitchen towels - nothing. No kettle or coffee maker. Room has no clock, no radio, and get this - NO TV. Even the dumpiest of motels have a TV. Bathroom came with one partially used roll of Dollar Store toilet paper. So, if you don't mind sitting on a couch, staring at a blank wall and at appliances that you can't use...this place is for you. Otherwise, svoid
- gavin llewellyn (10/5): - Great spot that's less busy and cheaper than your traditional hotels. Room was nice, new, and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.
- Heather (8/5): - Great location and space. Only negative was no dishes, silverware, glassware or pots and pans in a suite with a full kitchen. That’s really stupid!
- Queenie (10/5): - Safe and clean
- Patricia (10/5): - We really enjoy our stay here, the room is clean and the staff are friendly, welcoming. The location is perfect no need to use the car to go to the beach or the downtown. Just bring your dishes and pots (not provided) if you are in the mood to eat in your room. Highly recommended, we will come back!!!
- Charlie (10/5): - Easy access and very comfortable
- Angela (10/5): - Everything is great. I forgot there was no tv but aside from that the room was very clean, shower had lots of water pressure and the kitchen was a nice touch although for me not required but I did use the fridge and freezer!!
Thank You so much for being so friendly and helpful!!
- swaty (4/5): - I stayed at this place for 7 nights. I was on the 3rd floor . The bathroom smelled like a sewer and the microwave wasn’t working.the windows are not insulated and there was students partying outside until early morning. I had to request the staff to change my room. They changed it on the 3rd night and although that room had no sewer smell there was zero views. I was looking on top of the roof. I paid so much money and the experience was terrible. The staff did not even ask to provide me a refund for the affected nights. That was really bad.
- Andrew (8/5): - It's a decent place to stay, esp. for this price point. Rooms are small, and to emphasize what they tell you, the kitchen doesn't have any plates, cutlery or pots. It is a "full" kitchen in the sense that there is a fridge, range and oven but absolutely nothing else. The small reading desk has no lamp. The facility is new, but there is no gym or other amenities. It's main purpose is for Okanagan College students during the school year.
- Elhassan (8/5): - Great location
- Charlene (10/5): - Would go again
- Adam (10/5): - Good value for the stay, clean nice rooms, perfect location, really nice staff. Good laundry room.
If you’re planning on cooking yourself be prepared to buy own kitchenware but other than that it is great.
- Bugra (10/5): - Location, staff and room
- Ken (4/5): - I knew when I made the reservation I was likely booking a college dormitory apartment. I noticed the listing promised a kitchenette. However, neither the Expedia listing nor their official website the kitchenette comes with NO KITCHENWARE! No pots or pans. No plates or bowls. No cutlery. No glassware. No standard kitchen utensils. Not even a coffee maker or kettle. The front desk offers disposable plates (paper) and cutlery (balsawood) however not even disposable bowls. For the price charged, at the least they should provide re-usable plates, bowls, cutlery, and cups/glasses.
- RPM (6/5): - So the bed was almost impossible to sleep on...
Microwave was not working the A/C was set on 16 and was not able to change it.
Front desk lady was assume! very new building clean.
- Analyn (10/5): - Nice place to stay in Kelowna. Very clean. Nice location. Will be booking here again on our next visit to Kelowna.
- SAULIUS (6/5): - unconformable mattress
- Rayna (8/5): - It was safe and perfect for a quick trip. No frills but great.
- Rayna (8/5): - Lovely no frills accommodation. Great coffee shops nearby.
- Joyel (8/5): - The room was nice and clean but surprised to find a kitchenette without any dishware, cutlery or small appliances. A small investment in this would go a long way.
Also, a tv in the room was expected.
- Alex (8/5): - Not bad, but could be better.
The good:
The building and rooms are new, nice and clean. Full kitchen with a fridge, stove, and microwave is useful if you are planning to prepare the food yourself. You just need all your own utensils and kitchenware.
The bad:
The double-bed is mentioned in the description, and that's correct, but it's obviously too narrow for two people. No option for at least queen-size one.
The description doesn't mention a TV, and there is no one. It's usually a default feature in every hotel and even a motel, but not here.
No kettle or coffee-machine. Again, it's not supposed to be there, but would be nice to have.
The ugly:
There were no shampoo in the bathroom, though it's supposed to be provided.
The microwave constantly stopped working due to a tripping electric breaker.
The air conditioning unit is extremely loud, and there is no obvious way to turn it off on the control panel, which is really annoying during the night.
Just the fact that everything is new and clean partially compensates for the drawbacks, otherwise the rating would be lower.
- Thanh (8/5): - Very affordable, clean. Perfect for those that just need a place to sleep while they explore the city. Only nitpick was the AC that wasn’t programmable and kept turning on even when it was pretty cool in the room.
- Timothy (8/5): - Clean, basic room, university dorm living, no tv, WiFi service was ok though
- Louise (10/5): - Nice for a shorter stay. Great easy bike ride to downtown Kelowna
- Evelyn (8/5): - Perfect for our needs.
- Mark (10/5): - Was good size clean and quiet
- youngsin (10/5): - We stayed family suit.
we have big family, so we were trying to find big family suit.
Suit is quiet large and clean.
we had a little problem during stay.
And manager handle it very nicely.
i gave my opinion to her and she accepted and agreed it and tried to handle the issue.
so i was impressed.
i recommend this suit for family.
- Sandra (10/5): - The staff at the desk were always very helpful with all my requests from giving me a phone charger to finding reading material and best places to eat.
My suggestion would be to have a coffee pot in the room as well as eating utensils for summer travellers.
Thanks for making my stay a good experience.
- Edith (8/5): - Large apartment very clean well laid out all the amenities except TV coffee machine and toaster and I’ll bring those next time
- Sean (10/5): - All ok
- Linda (6/5): - Very clean and secure. Great location. It was difficult to coomunucate with thrm as their phone wasnt always working. We shortened our stay and it took several days to get the refund through Expedia. The kitchen doesnt have anything in it. No dishes or pots etc. We would stay here again. Great pricing.
- Nayra (10/5): - Friendly staff, spacious accommodations. Totally recommend it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Student residence - Very expensive for a night in a student residence. Careful, this is not an hotel. Nice lady at the check-in. Great mattress. Half shower, no tv. Very clean, no possibility to turn off the AC except unplugging. Very disappointing overall for such a big amount of money, no breakfast, just a coffee vending machine. This is a $100 range. No more.
- Yu Keung (10/5): - 100% will stay again next time
- David (8/5): - Said phone system often doesn’t work
- Donald (10/5): - Peak location surrounded by nice restaurants and beaches. The residence is also in a mint condition and very clean. The bathroom is below avg but understandable since it’s a residence. We received one room cleaning service during our 3 night stays. In overall, it was a nice experience staying there
- Sandi Sandeep (8/5): - Great place, easily accessible to go to other locations.
- Patrick (6/5): - This is for Expedia. I had no idea that this facility was a university dorm. The add on Expedia was not clear. The room although very functional did not have a tv nor a coffeemaker. Normally those items are included.
Most disappointed.
- takeshi (10/5): A little inconvenience for us that… - There is no hair dryer , no TV
- William (8/5): - I don't like the shower room.
- Nisha (6/5): - over priced- no tv
no bath
- Verified traveler (8/5): Too expensive for what we got - The room was clean. Ample parking space. Front desk staff were polite. AC worked well but doesn't seem like we can control the temperature at all even though we kept pushing different buttons on the thermostat and the AC unit itself, so it did feel too cold at times. We were in a unit facing the street so we could hear loud noise from trucks and bigger vehicles once in a while. All of those are not deal breakers but the biggest issue to us is the quality of the towels. They were very thin but worst of all, little fibres / lints covered the towels and spread everywhere whenever we used them - on our hair, on our body, in the air. This caused both of us allergy-like reaction (sneezing, runny nose etc). Please replace your towels. Or don't charge so much during peak summer times because for what we paid for over the July long weekend, we expected decent towel which don't shed lint everywhere.
- Trevor (10/5): - Nice stay
- Hrishikesh (10/5): - The staff working there when i checked in was extremely good. She went above and beyond to help me finding a parking spot to bringing me some cooking utensils. Forgot to ask her name but she is very helpful and quick.
- Jagdeepinder singh (10/5): - Place was clean and staff was very helpful. It’s worth it the price
- zeynab (10/5): - The unit was so clean
- Dan (8/5): - It would’ve been nice if we had a TV in the room and a coffee pot it was more of a dorm and an actual hotel room
- Colleen (10/5): - This is a great location the room was clean and everything looked brand new. Even though you have a kitchen they do NOT supply any dishes, pots, pans or cutlery. We were aware so not a surprise to us. Very happy with this location, we will be sure to tell everyone.
- Ryan (6/5): Poor amenities. It's a college residence w/basics - Noisy neighbors early in the AM. Sounded like kids jumping or running from 6 AM Sunday morning for a couple hours.
Thin pillows and towels. Asked for more pillows and there wasn't any.
No TV. No dishes or utensils, so the kitchen wasn't useful.
No directions to get in the place, No signage.
- Joyce (4/5): - Worst bed I’ve ever slept on, like sleeping on the floor. Couch so small, cannot relax on. Only ONE bath towel in the room.. no TV…. It was clean.. that’s the only good thing I can say
- Billianne (8/5): - good
- Charlene (10/5): - Clean, good price, friendly helpful staff, close to swim meet we were in town for as well as shopping and restaurants. Full kitchen but no dishes so come prepared :)
- gonzalo (10/5): - I had a very nice stay
- Karen (8/5): - My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights.
Pros:
- Wonderful staff; very friendly and helpful
- Quiet
- Clean
- Hot water in the shower
- Near the beach area
Cons:
- We couldn’t get the aircon to work (although we also did not ask for any assistance and we could have)
- No kitchen items provided (pots/pans/plates/utensils). Knowing the room had a kitchen was a primary reason we booked with this hotel.
Also worthy of noting: This building is actually the student dormitory for the local college. This was not apparent when we booked. As such, it makes sense why there aren’t any kitchen items in the room. This information is not in a negative way, I just think it’s helpful for anyone to know who is interested in booking. Luckily, we stayed here during the summer holiday month, so only a couple of students were in the building.
- Parvaneh (8/5): From Toronto - This property locates on a very busy and loud street with 3 different city buses moving every 15 minutes daily, so it’s convenient for transportation but not for relaxing, the property doesn’t offer TV or other entertainment and doesn’t have coffee maker, hair dryer, dishes and other things you need in the kitchen, so basically you are paying just for the bed and bathroom
Staff are very friendly and nice, and that’s all you get
- Cherie Amoure (8/5): - Place was fine, the sheets and pillows were a b
- Keith (10/5): - Bright, new, clean, convenient.
- Caio Azalim Gonzalez (4/5): - This was by far the worst bed I ever slept, and I’m normally okay even sleeping on the floor. All the bed sheets and cover were polyester which made my wife and I feel extremely hot all night and it was very uncomfortable for sleeping. Additionally it’s a central controlled ac and we couldn’t change the temperature at all.
Sometimes the room would be 24 and the AC would not turn on, now add the polyester on top of it. Plus, the ac sometimes would turn on and the middle of the night the AC would turn off and make a very loud noise, which for a light sleep like was a nightmare.
All the bedding items were probably bought from Amazon, you could see Amazon logos everywhere, the pillow was very uncomfortable, the mattress small, and the windows are very funny… don’t come out of the shower naked because the entire parking lot might see you if you don’t have the curtains down.
The good parts:
- Very big room, and it’s nice to have the oven and fridge.
- Good WiFi
- Friendly staff
- Safe location and close to everything
- Regis (8/5): - I found it good because it is all new apartments and decently located. However it is not exactly equipped to be thought of a hotel. There were NO utensils whatsoever in the otherwise nicely equipped kitchen. No coffee maker or anything. That was a big let down. The bed was made with the bottom sheet directly on the mattress insulating cover, no padding. Expect no room service. A pay coffee machine in the lobby is all. Nice common room with a pool table, fussbal and nice hangout sitting.
- Harold (10/5): - Great staff helpful fast check in
- Elena (10/5): - Very nice, clean and quiet accomodation. The building is new and i believe it was the first summer they started accept tourists. The people in reception were extremely helpfull and nice. I was impressed by room conditions, very comfortable. Bed is nice, though double.
I was really happy staying there. Will recommend everyone to visit and enjoy Kelowna !
- Richard (6/5): - The property has a kitchenette but no dishes, cutlery, toaster,or coffee maker were available in the room. When we asked we were told that they had nothing. Not even a glass. The staff were kind to get us an extra towel, soap, and pillows but the amenities are pretty weak. Also, the mattress was extremely soft. On the positive side, it's in a great location close to beaches and lots of restaurants and grocery stores.
