- Jessica (2/5): - We stayed at White Cubes Villa and I would never stay here again. What they don’t tell you is that there is no car access to the villa. You get dropped off at a meeting point and then have to walk about 15 minutes on a mix of pavement and dirt trail, dragging your luggage the whole way. The villa itself just felt strange and unsafe – it’s the first place I’ve stayed in Bali where the door was secured with a literal padlock. Combined with the fact that you’re a 15-minute walk away from the road, it left me feeling uneasy. My partner checked in at 11am, and when I arrived at 5pm we were there less than an hour before deciding to leave and stay elsewhere. We have travelled to Bali many times over many years, and this is the first time I’ve ever felt uncomfortable with accommodation. Nowhere in the villa description does it mention the long walk or lack of car access, which I feel is very misleading. I would not recommend staying here. Unfortunately there are no refunds for cancellation regardless so we lost 2 nights accommodation $..
