- John (8/5): Madrid stay - Great location next to train station and walking distance to Prado Museum, parks and Madrid centre area. Hotel located on very busy main streets so quite noisy as well as construction to train station.

- ANGELA (10/5): - Just needed a safe, clean, convenient bed for the night before flying out. This location was a very easy walk from Atocha with luggage. There is a locker under the bed but you should bring your own lock if you want to. I used a 4 bed female only. We shared a shower/toilet/sink. There are paid lockers onsite if you need them outside of sleeping hours. I slept fine because I brought earplugs and a face masks. My bunkmates were polite and quiet. But there were loud guys in the hall after 11pm for. awhile. The nature of a hosel!
- Line (6/5): - The basics were OK: the room is clean, there is no noise from the street or other rooms, the room is not cramped, the toilet and shower work, and the door locks well. Please note that we had the most expensive room in the whole hotel. On the negative side, multiple points: the room is spartan, no tv(!!!!), no hair dryer, no safe, no fridge or mini bar, no Kleenex, no glasses (even in the washroom - zero glass). that's for the room. Long and gray corridors. The two elevators: functional but blatantly insufficient for the number of rooms. But the worst clearly is the SERVICE, or rather the absence of it. In four days of entering and leaving the hotel at various times, we received the sum total of one hello and one smile (by the same person at the same time). Otherwise, clearly no one among the staff feigns the least interest in our presence. Same "customer approach" for the breakfast room where clearly we clients were an annoyance. Lastly, the breakfast itself had a depressing selection and so-so quality. In other words, not only won't we ever return but we'll actively deter friends and family as well. When paying more than $450 a night, one expects some minimal consideration and perks. Very disappointed Canadian couple

Good place for travelers in their 20s and 30s to meet- they have a Meet and Greet nightly which was well attended. Close to major museums and the train station.

- Nora (10/5): Convenient location - Nice hostel directly across from the train station. Great privacy with en-suite bathroom. The only complaint was that they kept the room too hot, at 30 degrees Celsius. I’m sure the staff could adjust it but I didn’t ask at the time.
- Kiera (10/5): - I’m an art historian that studies Dutch art, so it was very important for me to be close by to both the Reina Sofia and the Prado- this hotel was literally perfect! Of course it’s great to be close to both museums, but it’s also close to all of the transit I needed to access. Rooms are cute and clean, laundry works great, and the restaurant was wonderful as well. I strongly recommend the patatas bravas and the cheesecake!

The main gate to enter the hostel is very small and narrow and have stairs which makes it complicated for baby cars or wheelchairs. - Carlos (8/5): - The location is great, walking distance to the prado museum, parque del retiro and the jardin botánico. The hotel is also new and very confortable. The only cons are the wifi seemed to very slow and the A/C controls are not intuitive, otherwise great experience
- Guillermo (8/5): - We only stayed one night prior to flying home. The property is located right next to the Atocha train station so it's convenient with easy taxi access for getting to the airport. The immediate area is fine but be careful where you go as the adjacent neighborhood can get a bit sketchy. We walked back toward the Puerta del Sol area where we stayed at the the start of the trip for dinner so it was good. Walkable in general. The room is a bit small for 4 people but it worked fine for one night. Good windows that are essentially noise proof. Sleeping there was nice. The A/C didn't cool too well (23.5C all night even with 19C setting) but the temperature dropped in Madrid that evening and it was cool enough most of the night. The staff is friendly. The room was clean with good soap and towels. There are many food options nearby. The Prado museum is also close by so that is the general area.
- Melissa (6/5): Great location but small rooms. - The location was amazing with most touristy things within walking distance. However, this was a hostel, not a hotel. The rooms are very small with house cleaning services only every three days and seem like it was a bother when they actually had to do it. Cleanliness was not very good either. We also had to move rooms after the first night due to mold found in the bathroom’ ceiling.

We use it as a place to sleep between flying into Madrid and taking the train out early the next morning however, it was perfect for our family of four, it looked like a fun place to stay for younger people too!

I stayed with my elderly mother and my brother and it was safe and convenient to get to sites around town by foot and an easy walk to the train station for our train to Barcelona. We were able to store all our bags and enjoyed the free breakfast! Great place!!

But it was very hard to find a hotel for the night near the Atocha train station, so we took a chance and were pleasantly surprised. Kind of seemed like a luxury dorm room...clean and comfortable with a king size bed plus two overhead beds. Quality linens and towels, but no amenities like a hair dryer. Nice to meet other travelers from around the world. The price seemed high for what it was, but I guess it was a supply and demand situation.

- Anne (6/5): Great room, but would have preferred not handicapp - Very clean, spacious, but we were in the handicapped room and it was difficult to shower with the chair in the middle of the shower, permanent fixture. There were no chairs in the room. Just bed and one small night table. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Good towels. Not a lot of space for personal items in the bathroom
- James (10/5): - Excellent location, warm welcome, friendly staff, super café. Only downside was that the room (a three-sleeper) didn't have a TV, fridge or safe. However, it did have a bathroom and a shower as well as a balcony (and was spacious).

- Mary (8/5): - Location was perfect, room was very nicely updated and clean. Staff were a little cross and challenged us when we were just asking for toilet paper or cups for the room or when we walked past them with our key to get into the hallway where are room was.

- Linda (8/5): - Loved the room but getting to hotel when the front door was blocked by a private party was difficult. No arrows on the sign that said go to a different address But very nice staff. The waiting area had stained chairs and couches.

- Peggy (10/5): - I was worried because it is listed as a Hotel/Hostel. It was great, i rented a room with a bath, very reasonable. Loved that it was within walking distance of great museums. Very memorable trip to Madrid.

- Jessica (10/5): Excelente lugar!!! - Excelente lugar, el edificio hermoso, en excelente zona para conocer caminando lo más simbólico de Madrid…buen desayuno, comodidad, limpieza, la actitud de los chicos de recepción genial…cuenta con dos áreas de esparcimientos super lindas, un gran lugar, si regreso a Madrid definitivamente regresaré a Latroupe
- Carlos (8/5): Suficiente - Lugar muy bien ubicado, con restaurante en donde ofrece un bufet que no vale la pena pagarlo, mejor pedir aparte, tuve un problema con mi teléfono celular que se fue entre el mueble de las literas el muchacho de mantenimiento muy amable, pero llegó al cuarto otra persona del lugar muy antipático diciendo que no se podía sacar el teléfono, le di una solución y solo contesto, no se puede, pero el joven de mantenimiento junto conmigo pudimos sacar el teléfono donde salió el celular y mucha basura q se va entre el mueble, el cual ni limpiaron y este Sr solo nos veia en vez de ayudar. El hotel en general bien, solo ese pequeño incidente y el empleado ya mencionado muy antipático.

- Jose L (10/5): Great location - Went to Madrid for a day on our way back home from Seville. This hostel was a pleasant surprise. Room was clean with a private bathroom and great location. Room was small but comfortable. Would definitely stay there again for it’s convenience and price but not for prolonged stays. A day or two is perfect.

- Nhi (8/5): - Easy access from Atocha station is the main reason why I booked this place for layover in Madrid before heading to Granda by train next day. It was a Good value of money besides the convenient access to public transportation. The staffs were friendly and helpful!
