- Richard (8/5): Quick trip - Stayed for the night before getting on cruise. First room was nice but tv did not work so they moved us next door which was nice of them. Only complaint is the rooms on San Jose street are noisy because of traffic and mopeds blasting music until 4 am. Not the business fault.

The room I had was definitely on the smaller side, so it’s not the kind of hotel where you’d lounge around for long stretches—but it was spotless and well kept. What really stood out was the friendly staff and the unbeatable location. Being right in Old San Juan meant I could walk everywhere—restaurants, bars, nightlife, and sightseeing were all just steps away. I loved being able to go out, enjoy myself, and then safely walk right back to the hotel without any hassle. If you’re coming to Puerto Rico to explore, eat, drink, and socialize, this hotel is perfect as a convenient and comfortable base.

- Madalyn (10/5): Excellent experience - This hotel is very conveniently located in old San Juan by all the major stores and shops. Very close to the ferry if transportation is needed. The entire building was very clean and the front desk staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I highly recommend this place!!

Jason and the entire front staff were very helpful and welcoming. The location is centrally located. There is supermarket, laundry and lots of stores close by.

- Nacilda (6/5): - Overall great stay. Minus the daily janitorial operation, could be improved tremendously. We had housekeeping knock the day before leaving. Only time they knocked. The room I booked stated it would be with a balcony. once I got there it turns out that we were in a very tiny room. The bed space looked clean, but the actual bath shower looked unsanitary.

No parking if you have a car leave it down at the end by the police station or where the cruises come in don’t risk getting towed. Very safe the door to get in locks after a certain hour and you can only get in with your room key. Someone is always at the front desk. Everything is within blocks it’s very convenient. Everyday our room was cleaned and we were given fresh towels and the bed was changed.

- Paul (10/5): - The Armas hotel sits on the Plaza de Armas of San Juan, the city's historic main plaza. You can beat the amount of historical and cultural things to see and do that staying at this hotel provides. In addition, there are a wonderful array of restaurants in Viejo San Juan walkable from the hotel. As the old city can be heavily trafficked with tourists by day and night, the Armas hotel provides a quiet escape when one needs some time to regroup. It is clean, well climate controlled, and comfortable.
- Giscard (6/5): - Everything went well at the property. The staff is friendly. The only thing which is still waiting to be resolved is that I paid for king size bed and received a queen size. Upon bringing this to the attention of the staff, I was told the Expedia reservation on their end stated I requested a king bed, not that it was included on the reservation. I sent over screenshots via email to the manager and was told there must be a mixup with expedias system. The resolution was to have Expedia follow up with a discount which the manager of the hotel stated he would approve. I submitted a complaint to Expedia as advised by the manager of the hotel and have yet to receive a resolution. Regardless of who’s fault it was between the hotel or Expedia, it should be on both parties to find a resolution for the guest, not the guest to have go back and forth between both parties.

- Jermaine (6/5): - The stay was nice overall, and we appreciated the friendly staff. The hotel is in a great location just minutes from restaurants and tourist attractions, which made getting around easy and enjoyable. However, some of the pictures were a bit misleading. We thought the room we booked had windows and access to a pool, but it didn’t. That was a bit disappointing. After checkout, we were unexpectedly charged $200. We’re still unsure what the charge was for. I suggested my partner call to inquire, but he didn’t want the hassle. Despite these issues, we did enjoy ourselves and made the most of the trip.

- Tarisha (8/5): - My expectations were met. Customer service is superb. All the front desk attendants were very helpful. Huge shout out to Richenid. I booked my vacation package on Expedia, and Richenid called me to confirm my hotel reservation twice. She also created a three-page tour guide for me, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner restaurants, as well as activities to do and places to visit. You name it, it was listed. That was such a great help for me. The location of the hotel was excellent. It was pretty much in the center of everything. Most places you are able to walk to. We used the scooter just for fun, caught the ferry a few times($1 round trip), and Ubered to the next town for water activities. Overall, my stay was 4.5 out of 5. The following items are the reasons I didn't give a Five-star rating: no microwave, no coffee maker, no closet, a farm door for the bathroom instead of a regular door, and there was light that came through the bottom of the front door. Although I believe that's common in a lot of the other hotels.
- Olga (10/5): - The hotel is beautiful in the middle of Old San Juan. We chose the standard room. There was no window, but we loved it. Bed is super comfortable. Staff is super sweet and helpful. One staff, wish I had taken her name, told us about parking. There is no free parking. She informed us about the least expensive parking. Across the street The Armas Plaza is being renovated. Once it's finished it will be a beautiful place to relax. The room has the bathroom sink in the bedroom. Could use a microwave and a desk and chair. Other than that, I would definitely stay again.

The hotel is a little older but everything was perfect. There was a false fire alarm which had flashing lights in the room. I truly appreciated this since my sister is deaf and this allowed her to know of an emergency. Most hotels don’t have this feature and we appreciate they did.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Kind staff - The staff is very kind. They are helpful too The beds are high up. Kinda hard to get onto I’d suggest they put a chair in the room. Something to sit on to get your shoes on. Also they need hooks in bathroom and room for cloths or towels. The outlets don’t charge fast but that I think is a general Puerto Rico electrical infrastructure issue I believe.

Grocery store, drug store and the best Marshall’s store in the country is located across the street! We will be back!
- Luis E. (10/5): - This is a clean no nonsense place to stay in historic Old San Juan. For folks that just need a place to sleep, shower and change it is perfect and very inexpensive. I loved no paying resort hotel prices for amenities I won’t use because I am always out seeing the sights. Recommendations for the hotel. The room I was in lacked a soap dish or shelf in the shower. There was no place to put the soap and shampoo. I used the bathroom sink which was conveniently close to the shower door. The beds are high so they also need a chair or bench in each room where guests can sit and put on their shoes. The staff there was excellent!

Location is 11/10, walked through old San Juan and went to about 4-5 different islands and beaches through an Uber. If you stay here parking is limited so rent a car and put in parking garage or a lot or Uber. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting for a short or long extended time. The best staff!!

- Dirk (8/5): - Nice boutique hotel in the heart of Old San Juan. Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Check in/out is a challenge as there is no where to park to load/unload. Parking was 6 blocks away. We got a room with no windows. My wife was bummed. Our friends had a huge room with doors that opened to the street below. Amazing...but they hated it! Up all night due to street noise and people being people at 2am. We slept well in our room. No coffeemakers in the room. No coffee in the lobby. But, great coffee shops close by. Nice hotel, very clean. Bed was very comfortable...

Comfy bed, nice side bathroom for being in old San Juan that usually because of the colonial style is difficult to find a nice a comfortable bathroom. This property is a plus and is close to so many good restaurants, supermarket and pharmacy. Perfect spot to explore Old San Juan. Highly recommend

There is no restaurant at the hotel. The rooms were small, had no windows and lacked inexpensive items, i.e., a small bar of soap, as an example. Further, the shower was tight and had no small shelf in it to place your own bar of soap as you showered. Towels and washcloths were clean and the overall hotel was well kept. We were staying there for 1 night but based on the accommodations, I would not recommend for more than that. One other good thing is the hotel has a working elevator which is a convenience for hauling suitcases.
