- Teddi (8/5): - Dogs were in room across from us and barked a lot. Don’t know why we were put in that room. Was not that busy. Could have been placed a little further away from the dogs.

Gave us 1st floor room. We are both over 80.
No way we could get our suitcases to 2nd floor.
Had to return to check in and change room.

- Jennifer (4/5): - Staff was unfriendly during check in and not available for check out at 7 am. How is a front desk not managed during morning hours when guests are trying to leave. The level of professionalism is nonexistent here.

Upon arrival, we were given a single king bed even though I reserved a 2 queen bed room. The staff was absolutely no help. When I returned to the desk to request the correct room, I was told that there were no other rooms available (the parking lot was mostly empty) and I could leave it I wanted to. No other remedy was offered or supplied. Because it was late and we were very tired, we decided to stay and make the best of the situation. I asked to talk to the manager at least 3 times. Each time I asked a different person at the desk, I was given a very vague response about when the manager would be available. It was very clear that there was no manager onsite and one would not be present for several days. I was told a manager would call, yet, I never received any calls. Upon check out, I asked again to speak with a manager and requested a partial refund for the inconvenience. Again, I was completely blown off. No solution, compensation or remedy was offered or provided.
Additionally, the television did not work throughout our entire stay. It continuously became pixelated and then a black screen with a "no signal" message.
The hotel was cleanish -- only because it is brand new. They have only been open a short period of time, but already the accumulation of dust and debris was noticeable around the edges of the rooms, especially in the bathroom. I can only imagine the lack of cleanliness that will occur over time.
Don't stay here.

- Linda (10/5): - Everything was excellent I had a king size bed. I never stayed in a place that you would feel like home. I forgot this is the second time. My friend introduced me to this type of suite. She said you would feel like home this is so true. I have no complaints about my stay. I would recommend this suite to everybody.

- joseph (4/5): - Although the property was new, to many things were not up to par. We had no tv reception in our first room, and the front desk finally room changed us to a room that had tv reception that froze nearly every 2-3 minutes. Toiler paper holder in both rooms was nearly falling off the vanity side board. Bathroom had no hand/bath soap and the shampoo dispenser in the shower was totally empty. The previous guest had wiped what looked like snot on the wall above the towel rack and housekeeping failed to see this. I highly doubt they have a supervisor inspecting rooms before they are released to the front desk. My guess is she/he is cleaning rooms along side the housekeepers just to turn the volume of rooms each day! The hotel had 1 front desk associate on duty at 8:30 p.m. on a sold out night, and she was doing her best to accommodate us, but really? I don't think there was anyone else at the hotel until 9:30 p.m. You've got to do better owner/manager!

- Verified traveler (6/5): Just Okay - During the stay, one can easily tell that they’re still working on the hotel. Check in was easy. We had to go back down for the WiFi password, it wasn’t given out at check in. Not sure of the insulation between floors, but the people staying above us were really loud. They could have been heavy footed, but they were also up pacing all night which made it difficult to sleep. Hotel was clean, but it’s probably because everything is still new. No travel size anything in the bathrooms, and there was a used bar of soap still on top of the shampoo and conditioner dispenser in the shower. Overall, stay was okay, but we’ll look to stay somewhere else in the future.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Exceptional Stay with Minor Glitch - I recently had the pleasure of staying at this amazing new hotel during my business trip, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations! The customer service was superb; the staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel itself was immaculate, with a clean and modern design that made me feel right at home.
However, I did encounter a minor issue with the television, as it was glitching to the point where I couldn’t watch any of the channels. I ended up casting from my cell phone, which was a bit inconvenient.
Despite this hiccup, my overall experience was fantastic, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay. I look forward to returning on my next visit!
- Nicole (8/5): - I would like to say thank you Ms. Honey the property manager and Micheal one of the staff members despite some issues I had during this stay I would like to highlight these two because they went above and beyond to fix the issue. Other then that only thing I did not like the TVs were very static and hard to watch but other then that would visit again when I’m in town.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Quite a few room switches. But comfortable room. - My husband and I had a family emergency and needed a room close to the Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. We told my mom about the hotel so she could get a room and we could stick together. My husband and I arrived first for check-in and then went to our room. Upon entering the room, we noticed that the toilet had stuff in it and was clogged and unable to flush.
There was a plunger laying there already so he tried to fix the clog himself but something was clearly stuck. We went to try calling the front desk and the phone didn't work. He walked down and we got another room. Something we noticed about the first and second room was how rushed everything was. The outlets were crooked and we found painters tape in random places.
My mom later arrived and she was given a room different from what she paid for so she needed switched. She got another, correct room but the lights in the room didn't work. In the third and final room, the outlets were also crooked and the fire alarm in the bathroom was covered up and smelled heavily of weed. This was all on the 1st floor for us both.
The rooms are spacious and the bed to us was comfortable. My mom found it firm. We didn't have the chance to use the kitchen, but everything was very clean. We did find some receipts laying around that were never cleaned up. I get the hotel just opened, but that's a lot of switching around and issues to the place. It wasn't a horrible stay, but it could've been better. Takes 5 days to get deposit back.
