Guest Reviews
- Diana (10/5): - Everyone was great.
- Randy (10/5): Beach resort - Nice beach resort hotel. Pool is kid friendly however no views of ocean. Bar friendly great music and wait staff.
Our room was a second story king. Bed was comfy true king bed.
However if it rained we could see holes in thatch roof that could be a problem
- Sherie Ann (10/5): - The best thing about this property is the staff at hotel, restaurant, and beach club. They are really friendly and highly professional. The food at the restaurant is great, especially the breakfast.
- Lance (6/5): - Ants ants ants … awesome room except the 100 ant bites I had all over my body from sleeping in the bed . If they could figure out how to get rid of the ants … this would be incredible room
- Katarzyna Magdalena (10/5): - Amazing place
- Timothy (10/5): - We stayed in the lower level of a cabana, which was perfect since we had an inflatable standup paddleboard, which gave us plenty of room to store it. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The beach club is a great benefit. We suggest adding hooks or pegs in the cabanas to facilitate getting stuff off the floor and places to hang to dry.
- Susan (8/5): - The Kabanas were rustic which I expected but I could hear the guy in the room above me snoring & could hear them peeing in the bathroom above. But the service at the restaurant was above par. My server Stephanie took care of me all week and the rest of the staff were amazing. I didn't spend too much time in my room to begin with so the cabin type room was fine with me. Plus I got such a good deal that nothing bothered me too much. Ohhh but one thing I would suggest would be to add a few lounge chairs to the pool. And maybe allow hotel guests to use the the beach chairs for free!?!!! It seemed everyone there were locals which is great.. they were all very nice and made great suggestions for local restaurants and such in Puerto Morelos. But they were paying to for their beach chairs so maybe paid Kabanas overnight guests could snag a chair for free at least one day?
- burton (2/5): - Extreme noise .. 24 hr patty
- christi (10/5): - Perfection!
- Melissa (10/5): - Everyone was very friendly clean & walking distance to everything. Will definitely come back again.
- Ana (6/5): - This is definitely a budget property. If you stay in a kabana you will hear the people above/below you. every word every noise. the property is nice and clean but the surrounding area and the entrance are a little rough looking. There isn’t even a sign for the hotel very confusing for transportation to and from. but the beach club makes it all worth it and the food is pretty good too.
- Juan Antonio (10/5): - Todo bien
- David (10/5): - The place was nice . Exactly what I was expecting.
- Joanna (10/5): - This place has the coolest hideaway vibe. Great staff and amazing food and c
Value. The restaurant overlooks the beach and the food is top notch. Serving staff were very attentive and tge drinks were great. The rooms are unique and i can say nothing negative. Huge value for your dollar here. We will be back.
- Tariq (6/5): - When I arrived,The electricity and water was out and didn’t return till 9 pm.They threw environmental tax on us and everything cost $.If you wanted a towel at the pool, they charge you.Even asking for a doggy bag ,they tried not to provide. The room was full of ants.I got bitten every night.Water pressure is so low.
- lokendra Singh (6/5): - AC was not working properly.
- Jamila (6/5): - The rooms could be updated. The advertisement of the pictures on the Internet are not with some of the rooms look like so make sure you tell them that you want the room that's on the pictures. There is a lot of ants due to the wood that they use to build the cabanas. It is a nice outdoor experience with the loved one and with the children nice beach night at atmosphere. And everyone was nice. Great food very peaceful nice relaxing vacation at this resort. Even walking up a block you have a lot going on and another part of the town. I can't remember the name of it, but I say I'll try it out a small town building up.
- Vikas (8/5): - Its a quite hot weather here and my room ac had some issue it was not cooling enough. Overall the experience was good. The staff is super friendly but they rarely speak english
- Jeannette (10/5): - The room and property were very nice!👍
- Valentina (6/5): - The bed was comfortable and clean, the room distribution is awkward but for just a couple of nights is okay. The pool was not clean at all, you couldn't even see the bottom. After an hour of using the front row beach beds they asked us to move because those are not for hotel guests but for people who pay for the day-pass, which we found odd.
- Denna (10/5): - I had a really great stay here overall! The room is better-than-basic, with a fridge, full-length mirror, balcony, and other nice touches. It was more than I expected from a budget friendly room! Pretty sure the shampoo, hand soap, and body wash were all the same stuff, so I was glad I brought my own. But a clean, pretty room in a quiet location well located for walking all over Puerto Morelos. The mini fridge was a great touch, and the hot water was really hot!
- Angelica (10/5): - Me gustó
- Alicia (10/5): - My daughter and I spent 4 lovely days in one of the beautiful Cabanas on the property. The beach was footsteps away with the best beach staff for fresh foods and cocktails. At night we dined at local restaurants that had the best food I’ve had in this area of Mexico. Thank you to the entire staff and the town of Puerto Morelos for making us feel like family! We will definitely be back!!
- Sylvia (2/5): - First room had ants in the bed. Second room this morning is full of ants. All in my luggage & my clothes! I told the guy at front desk I’m allergic to insects bite. He was kinda rude to o& not sensitive to the matter
- Michael (10/5): - Great place been there twice. Will definitely be back.
- Mary-Ann (10/5): - Very centrally located and affordable. Awesome for kids and the entire family. Delicious food and wonderful wait staff. Thank you for having us!
- LeAnn (6/5): No sleeping - The room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. The towels were raggedy and there was no blow dryer or mirrors. The beach was very nice but we didn’t really sleep because we could hear the loud music from all the neighboring bars and the room below us.
- Naomi (8/5): - The Kabaña we stayed in was just constructed. It is a beautiful space. The shower is fantastic. The bed is ultra comfortable. As with all new construction, there are details that need to be addressed such as open gaps that allow mosquitoes in. A net over the bed would help. We stayed for 6 nights.
We also stayed in the main building for 2 nights. It is dated but we would book the main hotel building for future stays. Both rooms were kept very clean. The location of this hotel cannot be beat. The free use of sun beds is a huge plus.
The Kabaña rooms are on the same property as the Hotel and Beach Club Ojo de Agua. Google Earth has it marked incorrectly.
This hotel is bare bones. Bring your own drinking glasses and hangers if you need them.
