Guest Reviews
- June (8/5): - We were the only people on the property. It was very quiet. Be careful walking across the grass in sandles, as there are stickers. There is a slight sulfur smell to the water when showering. Overall, the place is pristine. The covered wagon is lovely but consider it a comfortable camping experience.
- Dana (2/5): Terrible sulfer odor & no help from owner - Quite a disappointment and didn't receive a response after texting the owner-Camper A5's sulfer odor was like walking into a brick wall asa walking in. We cleaned the air filter and tried running the water but it didnt help. The only reason we were able to stay the 1st night was bc we were exhausted and sprayed potpourri.
The lady that works there came over to check on us and immediately smelled it too. She did try to help us by dumping the sewer water and holding tank but it didnt help. We had to scramble to find a place to stay the 2nd night.
- Jessica (10/5): - Our stay was absolutely wonderful. We stayed in the wagon and waa very impressed. We would diffently go back!
- Elizabeth (10/5): - We loved the old time experience of staying in a wagon with modern upgrades. Def a must visit in South Texas. We plan to come by here to either stay in the wagon or rent an rv. I love how they have gas grills, smoker, & campfires, too. The gentleman who helped my husband and I take a Polaroid with our camera was very accommodating.
- Nicole (10/5): - We had a great time for a Father's day trip. We enjoy camping and I was really happy to have so many amenities like the easy to use grills, nice showers and restrooms, and the ability to bring our dogs with us, that made it more like glamping! The landscape is extremely beautiful and as someone who likes birdwatching we saw and heard some cool birds while there, including a roadrunner. We stayed in the rv, which was very spacious and had everything I forgot to pack, like a spatula. Our hosts were very sweet, friendly, and helpful and I would love to return. There is a lot to do nearby, and it is very close to Garner, and we booked a day pass in advance since they sometimes fill up, and spent time by the river.
- Sheila (8/5): - The property was beautiful , clean and close proximity to Garner State park and restaurants . Our host was very kind and accommodating, he’s the best ! We rented the wagon , bed was comfortable but it could be a bit hot when it’s 91F outside. The air conditioning unit can’t handle. We will be back when it’s not too hot.
- Margaret (10/5): - The wagon we stayed at was great!!
- Donna (10/5): My travel trailer experience - I wanted to visit Concan, Tx to see the Frio River. It has been years since I went to Garner State Park.
I found Pit Master Rv park on Hotels.com
I stayed there overnight in a newish travel trailer that belongs to them. It was spotless and very comfortable.
I brought my dog, so having a clean nice place to stay with a fenced dog park was perfect.
This place is about a 10 minute drive to Garner State Park. I highly recommend staying here. The park has clean restrooms, showers and new laundry area.
