Guest Reviews
- John (10/5): - Very new and very clean hotel. I was surprised at how nice it was. They even have a safe, microwave, and a little refrigerator in the room. I was very impressed with the place.
- Thomas (10/5): - Clean..modern room...friendly staff
- Gabriel (10/5): - Great hotel, everything was brand new, courteous staff.
- Emma (8/5): - Great location for visiting friends in Newark, short walk into the center with plenty of shops and places to eat. Room was very spacious. Only slight downside was being able to hear other rooms TV loudly through the walls and very little storage space for clothes
- Korri (10/5): - The staff we extremely helpful and sweet
- David (6/5): - The facility was only 3 months old so I would assume it would be a perfect room but it doesn’t look like there was a construction inspection that detected defects when the building was completed. The sprinkler in our didn’t have the trim ring on it, the tv only worked properly for a short time and the biggest issue was the door latch wasn’t properly installed and thus the dead bolt on the lock wouldn’t lock which is a huge security risk.
- Stephen (4/5): Loud neighbors - Next room played tv extremely loud from 3am to 4am. Would not turn it down even after several requests from night manager. Luckily room across hall was empty and they allowed me to sleep there. The tv could be heard outside and in the hallway
- Rose (8/5): - I would have given 5 stars universally, except that breakfast on Sunday was a bit uncomfortable. The staff appeared to be a bit frazzled and didn't pay attention to the fact that the breakfast offerings had been almost completely depleted. They ran out of milk and even though I left the jug outside the cooler and staff went by that spot several times, I finally had to mention that there was no milk. They ran out of bagels and when I asked if those could be replenished, the bagels were just shoved into a drawer without paying attention to the labels, making it necessary for each item to be handled in order to find the one I wanted.
The room was very nice and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious enough with very nice amenities.
Saturday breakfast was wonderful, however, as I mentioned, they are either short-staffed on Sundays or the staff isn't that well organized. A guest shouldn't have to point out that items have been depleted and need to be replenished.
- Tara (10/5): Great place ! - Extra towels in the room so you don't even need to ask for more, it is a newer place, very clean, great selection for complimentary breakfast, very comfortable sleep. Right across from Byrne dairy and a few minutes from everything in town 😁
- Michael (6/5): - Overall great stay except the door to my hotel room was extremely difficult to close all the way. When leaving the room I had to repeatedly open and slam the door closed to get it to properly close and lock. Also the soap dispensers were completely empty in the bathroom. Otherwise I would definitely stay here again!
- Kimberly (6/5): Gasket Seal Failure - Everything was going good until we took our showers. That's when we realized the gasket in the shower wasn't adhered properly. We ended up with so much water that went into the bedroom. When we called the front desk to report the issue, we were surprised to learn it's more than a common occurrence.
- Susan (10/5): - Exceptionally clean and well appointed for an overnight stay
- Verified traveler (2/5): Waste of money - Not good at all took 30 minutes to check in because staff was on phone ordering pizza. Room was dirty, tv did not work, someone was smoking on the floor
- Lori (10/5): - CLEAN, smells good right when you walk in. Beautiful place to stay, thank you!
- CODY ANN (10/5): - This was clean, easy commute to where we had to be, staff was super helpful, and the property had good parking.
- Joseph (2/5): - The rooms were filthy…I had to switch due to spills and stains and the second room wasn’t much better. Staff was very friendly
- allen (10/5): - New hotel, great staff!
- Beth (10/5): - Beautiful new hotel. Spacious rooms.
- Benjamin (10/5): - New hotel very nice
- Tammy (4/5): - More out of the way than anticipated off of I90. Had to fiddle with bedside lamps to get to work. Cable not working
- Tammy (10/5): - It was a wonderful stay,Thank you to all the great hotel staff!💛
- Stephen (10/5): - Outstanding place, super clean and nice!
- Elizabeth (10/5): -
Nice Clean Hotel. and close to town.
- Amy (4/5): Nice Idea, but needs a lot of work still. - The walls are thin and the doors slam. Was woke up every night by doors slamming or someone dropping heavy metal things. It sounding like someone shooting a shot gun at 4 am every day. Also, the room doors don’t lock as soon as you close them. I had to stand at the door and wait a minute to ensure the door locked before walking away. Not a very secure place. For the free breakfast, that was pointless. The waffle iron and toaster kept blowing the electrical circuit and the staff knew, but didn’t do anything to fix it. The attendant would bring out 4 items on a large cart and completely ignore that there were no cups for juice or coffee and left the mini fridge open while restocking(?) warming up all the yogurt and other dairy items. After an hour, I gave up and had breakfast somewhere else.
- Christopher Andrew (6/5): - Property brand new but tvs not working in the entire hotel.
Room not fully furnised- couch missing
- Michael (10/5): - New hotel- super clean. Walls between rooms is very thin- able to hear other guest in other rooms and other floors.
- jeffrey (10/5): - Clean. Good value.
- Zabrina (10/5): Good stay - For being a brand new hotel thought it was perfect! Beds are a little harder then I like but everything else was great
- FRANCIS G (6/5): - Reservation was for 2 rooms but hotel only had us down for 1, with 4 adults in a room that had a single king and bench child’s bed? Laundry was a single washer & dryer that used a challenging app for payment. Deal clerk didn’t know where the laundry was or the payment methods. Hotel is new but rooms are very small.
- MARYANN (10/5): Wonderful!!! - Very clean and updated. Beautiful shower with hand held shower head in addition to a wall mount. Nice soft water. The king bed was amazing! I have trouble sleeping in a bed but no pain!! This was the best 2.5 star hotel I have been to. The only thing I didn't like was the coffee was terrible and there was no cream options that did not have sweetener in them. The breakfast options were only ok but we didn't eat. The area is safe and quiet.
- Thomas (10/5): - I stayed at this Microtel a week after they opened. Staying in a brand new hotel is really a treat. Super nice and clean at a very reasonable rate. I’d stay at this Microtel again in a heartbeat.
- Evan (8/5): - This is a brand new hotel so everything was great accept the tv services and menu were not user friendly
- Elena (10/5): - New hotel so everything was brand new and clean! Staff was very friendly and they had breakfast, water and snacks included in the lobby.
