- Kara (10/5): - We were pleasantly surprised by the amenities and interior. Home is dated but sufficient for your needs. Staff were great. Access into the guesthouse makes you feel safe. Would stay again.
- Brian (10/5): - My room was very nice and well cared for. I felt so at home that I actually got a full night of sleep - which is rare for me in an unfamiliar environment. Maria was lovely, as well. It was a joy to be checked in by her and she explained the details and layout of the showers and facilities expertly. Most importantly, perhaps, the location was perfect for me. Being right off Allen street, I got to explore Allentown in depth - one of the major reasons for my trip. I was also able to walk to the Buffalo Convention Center on Sunday morning. The accessibility to downtown was a surprise and is sure to make me a repeat customer. The only downside was I was really looking forward to having some scrambled eggs in the morning at the buffet - but there was ham in them. Obviously, I am not a vegan - but I am a vegetarian & I do love my eggs and veggie omelets. But that is a minor quibble. Overall, 10++!!! Brian

- Laura (10/5): - I booked a last minute stay at Buffalo Guess house, didn’t expect it to be soooo nice, a lovely historical place , that has ever thing you need and makes you feel you are that special guest treated like a VIP that spend the night at your friends cozy house. 3 min drive from Downtown Buffalo, countless restaurants to explore,, Harbor walk, Seneca Creek Casino 6 min drive.. great breakfast every morning with scrambled eggs that Really taste like eggs, fresh coffee, cinnamon rolls, toast, the cleanest sheets I have ever slept on,(and I travel quite often),Free parking right outside, and felt safe parking our rental at night. Safe and quiet neighborhood.The whole experience was amazing. The beds were soo comfortable I’d like to find out the mattresses the use.. It was my 1st experience in an BnB, and I ended up booking a second night.And would definitely book it again.Thank you Maria for excellent customer service.And thank you Wes for a warm welcoming. If you plan on booking this lovely place, keep in mind they have some rooms in first floor, and some in second floor (if any case of knee problems to be considered).
- sandra (10/5): A Comfy and Friendly Home Away From Home - Buffalo Guesthouse was a perfect place for me as a solo woman. I needed a 'home' away from home for a night and this was it, although on first glance i was a tiny bit doubtful. I had neglected to follow all the directions so I didn't realize that my entry code was in my texts which I hadn't checked so be sure to check for that before you arrive. The hotel itself isn't fancy, but the care to the details of hospitality is first class. The staff is gracious and caring. I will definitely return when I need a 'home' for a night or two in Buffalo.

- David (6/5): - We were taken by surprise that there were only shared showers with a tiny sink and toilet in the room, and would not have booked had we known that. There is also only street parking. That being said, the staff were very friendly, the breakfast was homemade and delicious, and the communal dining setup allowed us to meet some interesting people.

Walkable to cool restaurants and bars. The beautiful young lady at the front desk even helped with our bags. Unfortunately I left my medicine and the man made sure those meds were sent to our next stop! I would never stay anywhere else in Buffalo.

- Gary (8/5): Great value, friendly atmosphere in downtown - If you're looking for basic accommodations in a location central to downtown and the bar scene in Allentown, for great value, try the Buffalo Guesthouse. Wesley, the owner, greeted me and showed me my room and the shared showers and hot tub. The Sunday breakfast was exactly what I wanted. I stayed in a single, which was adequate, but Wesley showed me the larger rooms as I was leaving, and I will take one of those on my next trip home.

- Verified traveler (2/5): The worst guesthouse I've ever stayed in - A terrible experience overall, probably the worst guesthouse I've ever stayed in. What went wrong? No one at check in. Waited. Then someone showed up. Then sheer chaos. Room not ready. At nearly 6pm? Then I was downgraded into a room that was also dirty. It's always gross to find other people's hair everywhere. The handles of the narrow staircase were loose and a total hazard. No one there in the morning. I tried to call many times to get a voicemail to no reply. I messaged through Hotels.com and no reply. A terrible operation. Aside from the good AC, the place just sucked.

- Danielle (10/5): Great stay - I'm glad I went here. I arrived at the bus station and took the 8 bus and walked. The employees were friendly. It opened three months ago. It's like 23000 sq ft and a lot of stairs since I was on the 3rd floor. It came w breakfast. My mattress was comfy and they gave me a robe. I would go back, but with less luggage since the stairs are hard w luggage. It was $3 to use washer and dryer.

- Christopher (10/5): - The owner met us at the desk and was 100% cordial. We talked about life gor a bit. His manager gave us the tour and made us feel comfortable. I'd much rather stay at an 1800s home that has been refurbished than any chain hotel/motel any time. We will stay here again. It's a fun vintage, Victorian style house that's near great food and much more.

- Richard (8/5): Suggestions - Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Guesthouse. The staff was friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable, however, I would like to make a couple of suggestions. 1.) I was confused on how to operate the air conditioner properly so my first night was uncomfortable (I eventually figured it out), 2.) I suggest moving the location of the soap dispenser in Room 200 - because the sink is so small I had difficulty brushing my teeth and spitting into the sink, 3.) please add more hooks to the rooms and the showers - hooks are good.

- Debora (8/5): Mixed feelings - Pros: Very clean with comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Fun swim spa which they were nice and let us use after it closed since we didn't get in until late. Cons: No one was there when we tried to check in and the phone numbers just rang in the building where no one was. Tried for 20 mins then was trying to find somewhere else to stay when someone wandered around from the back and let us in. Turned out their software hadn't alerted them to our reservation so it was a mistake but I feel they should have a number that goes to someone's cell phone just in case. Also, it wasn't totally clear that the shower was down the hall and shared. Not a fan of that. Was it the worst place to stay? No. Would I choose it again? Also no.
