• Donald (4/5): - I am always willing to take a chance on a local owned hotel rather than a corporate chain. I wont even go into detail on the experience I had opening the door to the original room I was assigned, but it was disgusting.... enough said. I gave the staff a good review as they realized the mistake and quickly gave me another room. Unfortunately, that room, although cleaner had issues. Normally you hope for towels that will actually dry a body of an adult human. It is Normally also a given that the TV remote will work. None of those things happened and because the parking was so overpopulated, my personal towels were a block away. If you are looking for a quick place to do those things you don't want to do at home, this is a great choice. If not, pay the extra money and get a room at the Santa Maria Inn across the street

• Julie (2/5): - The first room was nice looking but it smelled so bad; it made me nauseous, therefore we had to go asked for another room. The second room didn’t smelled as bad, but it was so run down dirty and old. We take that over the stinky room though. Parking lot smelled like the sewer, and people were laying in the parking lot which made us uncomfortable. We will never stay here again $100 was expensive for what it was. The reviews that said it’s clean and safe are FAKE. Never been this disappointed in a motel and reviews before

• EDGAR (4/5): - There were at least 2 groups of guys (2-4 men) hanging in the parking lot. One group was just talking, the other was looking at a car’s engine. Next to the motel’s parking lot, I counted 3 different guys sleeping on the ground. The mattress was very soft.

• Helen Marie (8/5): - It's a pretty basic motel but clean and well maintained and it had the essentials. Walls painted a nice restful blue. Quiet, safe, easy parking. And the Pantry restaurant less than half a mile further up the street had a really good breakfast.

• Brian (6/5): OK for a cheap motel - Villa is an OK value, but to be clear it is a cheap motel. As far as cheap motels go, it is OK. This is maybe Motel 6 level motel, it is not up to the standards of the mainline budget chains, so it should be cheaper. On our night is was. People were loud until 11:00, but it was quiet until 6:00 when loud people start being loud again. Room was clean enough, water pressure was good in the shower.

I usually prefer not to stay in mom-and-pop type hotels/motels, but this one was in the price range I like for a weekend night, so I went for it. Check in was easy and the owners were friendly. The room was clean, the bed was on the stiffer side (which I prefer), and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. Additionally, the room was of decent size, the air conditioner was on the quiet side, and it had a nice-sized fridge. Not bad at all!

• Treasure (8/5): - The room was clean but the toilet was loose and rocks side to so be careful. You can hear every step above you on the second floor. The people above came in late and it woke us up and it was like they were rearranging furniture for 2 hours. The staff/owners are very nice.

• Anita (10/5): Family weekend - Pleasant stay, especially for the price! Owners are very friendly, and the room was spacious.
• Kevin (2/5): - This place is a dump. There is only one other hotel/motel I have stayed in that I would rate worse. There was food trash from a previous guest. The bedside nightstand was broken. There was no hair dryer. The towels are the size of real hotel hand towels. The door wouldn't close on its own and I had to lean into it to get the deadbolt to lock. Then there was the noise. I swear there was a herd of baby elephants upstairs from me. All evening until about midnight. Then, across the parking lot was a Mexican restaurant that was playing LOUD mariachi music until 10pm when the police finally showed up to shut them down. All in all this place was a huge waste of money. My advice? Keep scrolling when looking for a place in Santa Maria.

• Kaysie (6/5): Good for 1 night trips - They “upgraded us” from a queen beef to a two bed room because of occupancy issues, both beds were dirty. We asked for another room and they gave us a cleaner king bed room. Overall rooms were ok, old tvs, WiFi didn’t really work. Good for somewhere to sleep, I wouldn’t be happy returning there during a multiple day trip. The rooms felt dirty.
