Walter (8/5): Looks great but just average!!!! - It was ok. The room clean and customer service was good. However, the bed was uncomfortable but the pillows were great. I didn’t recognize the microwave until the morning because the microwave is not at eyesight to view it. Breakfast, the waffles and juice were good. The eggs needs help. You can tell the eggs were microwaved. I was extremely disappointed about the eggs. Overall, my stay is 3.5 out of 5.
Nathan (10/5): Worth Every Penny! - I had a really nice stay at the Hawthorne Extended Stay. The building is newly remodeled, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the rooms were spacious and clean. What more can you ask for?
Autumn (8/5): - Room was spacious and fairly clean, weird splotches on the blinds and peeling caulk above the AC unit. TV had to be adjusted to the correct HDMI port from the previous guests. The shower's handle was very finicky and only heated at a precise angle!

Robert (4/5): - Overall, I was disappointed with this hotel. Wifi was poor. Breakfast was free, but so many issues. Yogurt machine wasn’t working during my stay. Coffee machine needed to be rebooted several time and was out of order the last day of my stay. There was no fruit for several days. Overall cleanliness of the hotel was average at best. I won’t be returning to this hotel.

Verified traveler (6/5): Nice staff but stinky room. - We stayed here on a game weekend and the room was large and had lots of space and they let us do any early check in so we really appreciated that. However, when we returned to our room that night, it had a strong musty smell and the sheets and pillows felt damp. We would have requested a room change but it was almost midnight and we were really tired so we just stayed there. Also there is not any soundproofing. The people next to us used the shower early in the morning and it was so loud it woke us up.

Skoop (6/5): Hurrican Harvey - The hotel, overall, was nice. Clean rooms, very nice staff, and in a great area of town. My only complaint is that there are a few places of the hotel that leak when heavy rain comes to town. The room that I had was one of them. We had to put towels on the window seal to catch dripping water. This was not very attractive.

Verified traveler (10/5): Nice hotel for the brand - I would consider our family as "hotel snobs". Our son goes to college there and needed a place to stay while moving him in. Hotels in College Station are very pricey so I was a little nervous when I found this place at such a good rate. I thought there must be something wrong. Well, I was wrong. It was clean & quiet. The rooms were spacious and it was pet friendly. While checking out I learned it was about 12-13 years old. I would have thought it was newer. Will stay there again. Only drawback is it's on the edge of town furthest away from the university area.

I was here for my Fiance's graduation, and I saw the hotel rooms others booked for much more at different hotels: this one was larger and cost less than half as much.

So, we had to shower and wash our hands with the same soap!!! Beds were old and the carpet was smelly. The bathtub had two holes poorly covered with a clear silicone. We won't stay there again.

Verified traveler (4/5): Hotel is unsafe and needs repair - The back security door was held open by a brick 24hrs a day. No security at all. There was a water leak in the main hall for the 3 days we were there, and long enough to peel the wall paper. No working ice machines. Terrible shower pressure. Needs a good cleaning and room furniture update. All will overcharging because they can. Won't be back, ever!!!

Verified traveler (6/5): Paper thin walls - The room was clean, spacious, and well laid out.....but the walls must made of paper! I could hear everyone walking in the hall, TVs, and even someone sneezing. It made for a long night of waking up to some random noise and then trying to get back to sleep. This is actually the second time we stayed here and it was just as noisy last time. In fact that time I had to get up at 2 am and go down to the front desk and ask the clerk to turn down the TV in the lobby. She had it up so loud it actually woke us up.

A view of the parking lot showed many empty spaces, so I know they weren't booked up. The breakfast was very good. The staff was pleasant.

The problem was the dirty pillow case that was covered in makeup. Then the washcloth that had black spots all over it. The bed was nice and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size. Probably would not stay here again unless the price reflected the quality of the hotel.
Carl & Shirley (10/5): Excellent hotel close to Santas Wonderland - We chose this hotel since it was close to Santas Wonderland and had good reviews. We weren't disappointed! The staff was friendly and helpful, and Kim was wonderful. The room was clean and smelled fresh. The linens were clean. The breakfast was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay at Quality Suites again.
Sandra (10/5): Our home away from home - This is a great hotel and we have stayed here many times over the four years our twins attended college here. Sometimes this hotel is higher priced, but when it is lower, ($80's) we stay here. The rooms are quiet and have super comfy beds. The breakfast is great: sausage gravy and biscuits, scrambled eggs (good ones..not watery), pigs in a blanket, bacon, make your own waffles and the usual cold items as well (fruit, cereal, danish, yogurt, etc.) Our kids graduated last May and we still stay here..family wedding, visiting our son who lives here now with his REAL job!

Emily (4/5): Poor hotel maintenance and operation - The hotel was run down- AC wouldn't cool adequately, hair dryer wouldn't work, door knob fell off bathroom door, ice machine unplugged and turned around to let you know it wasn't working, employees unable to keep breakfast stocked for a Saturday morning crowd. Front desk staff was friendly but management seems to be lacking.

Upon check in, the hotel looked nice & the staff were friendly & helpful. However, our room smelled like a terrible combination of mildew & urine. It was so humid in the room that our clothes were damp & the carpet was sticky. The hotel staff said that they were booked so we could not move to another room. We had to leave the hotel early because we couldn't breathe & our eyes burned. I would not stay there again or recommend it.

We were able to have a room with two queen beds and a fold out sofa as well as a room with a king bed with a fold out sofa. More than enough room for everyone! Dana (6/5): Football weekend - This hotel has let the condition slip since we started staying here 8 years ago. The shower head barely let out a trickle of water which is one of the most frustrating things in a hotel. All of the outer doors were broken and were propped open by a rock so security goes out the window. It is still a decent hotel but they need to stay on top of repairs and little things to keep it nice.

Carpet was clean but the strange stain on the couch starting bugging us as we played, guess what that stain is. The people at the front desk were nice and helpful the whole stay. I'd stay there again.

Stormy (10/5): Great hotel at a great price - I was afraid that the room would be cramped with 2 adults and 3 kids but we all had plenty of space.
Amy (6/5): Close to TAMU - While the staff was very friendly, check in took longer than expected due to computer issues at the front desk. Our room key cards did not work. Went back down to Lobby the have clerk activate them.The breakfast room was not monitored so when coffee ran out it sent patrons scrambling to the machine in the lobby. The front desk person could be heard yelling for the employee. When there was no response, she patrons that the employee must have gone to the little girls room.Not the most professional way to handle that situation. Our room was very clean, but the shower rod was not secured well. It stay on place for the duration of our visit. A few other issues - The ice machine on our floor had the cover missing which exposed wires (see picture) and one of the side exit doors was not functional (no outside slide card entry). Someone had propped the door open. Finally one of the sprinkler heads was missing it's cover (see picture ). I would also suggest to have at least one other garbage can besides the one in the bathroom.

Crystal (4/5): A horrible night in College Station!!! - When we got to the hotel, they only had one room showing booked. After 10-15 minutes of waiting they finally found our booking. When we got back from eating we went to our rooms, one room was totally not cleaned!!! Beds unmade, dirty towels, and pizza boxes all over the room. So they moved us to another room across the hall, which we didn't get a key that worked. Basically I would NOT RECOMMEND this hotel.

Cathleen (4/5): This is not a "pet friendly" place. - Although Expedia and the website both say that this motel is "pet friendly," it charges $75 per pet per day. That's like saying a motel is "kid friendly," but when you prepay and then arrive, they say each kid costs $75 per night. Deceptive. Also the shower has such a tight restrictor on it that the water literally dribbles out. You have to take a bath instead as the water really does come out of the lower faucet. Do not stay here unless you really, really have not other options.

Friendly and very compentent staff. Downside: 1) The switch on lamp on the nightstand did not work. I had to unscrew the light to go to sleep. My handkerchief slipped and I wound up with a 2nd degree burn about the size of a dime. I reported it to the front desk and had a new lamp the next night! Excellent response. 2) The hallway was musty after the recent hard rain. I recommended to the manager that he purchase a couple of dehumidifiers and he made a note. Overall: I'd give the hotel 4.5 stars. Much better than most properties in the price range. Staff was great. I'm a Hilton guy but I'll try quality again based on this experience.

Gene (4/5): Barely OK, won't return - This is a low end hotel recommended by my client, so I went there at their suggestion, but I won't go back. During my stay food crumbs in the hallway remained, the sink drain stopper didn't work so wasted lots of water, and the very loud air conditioner in the room (during temperatures in the 90s) was so loud it waked me in the middle of the night. Other than that, just a thread-bare property.

Stuart (8/5): It was a nice place to stay. - We like the place. Our room was very nice and clean with a lot of space. Their breakfast was good. A small refrigerator and a microwave in our room was a nice touch. The A/C on the 3rd floor hall way was out, so it was very stuffy and hot when we walked through to our room. Other than that, we would go back to stay there again.

Patrick (6/5): Good overnight stay - Large rooms with seating area. Close proximity to retail and college.
Verified traveler (2/5): Pig Farm - Terrible service and horrible management. They show no concern for their guest and run the hotel like a pig farm!
Laura (8/5): College Road trip stop - My daughter and I were visiting Texas A&M and stayed at this hotel for one night. It was a large room that we found clean and comfortable. One problem, it smelled really bad. Stale air smell permeated the room. But, I would probably stay here again. Good price for a nice room. The breakfast was good too.

Terry (6/5): Hard to find. - Very hard to find. Had Reservation . Reservation does not give street number, just highway number. It is located on access road in residential area precisely where elevated highway forks into a Y split. Also, poor location of sign from elevated expressway. Passed it twice. Other visitors had exact same issue.
Yesenia (4/5): Will not stay there again - Checking in took over 20 minutes. The front desk was a mess - very unorganized. The room was mostly clean, but there were some hairs that were not dusted/swept off of the nightstand and bathroom floor. One of the towels we used had a small hairball that hadn't come off after being washed. This hotel apparently does some price gouging. We wanted to get another room, so I looked on hotels.com on the same night we were staying there. Well, the rate listed was $250. I had paid $91 + tax & fees. I asked Rikki, the front desk clerk why it as so much. She said that is their normal rate for when there is a graduation or game. Really!?! That much of a difference? I looked at a nicer hotel and their rate was only $139 for that same night. Overall, I only chose that hotel because it was under $100. I will not stay there again.

Marsha (4/5): Keep looking - First room had broken air conditioner. Second room was on vacant third floor which was creepy. Charged us fifteen dollars for incidentals which was the exact difference in price from their rate and your lower rate. Hotel needs major cleaning and updating. Will not stay there again.
Verified traveler (4/5): Hotel was okay. - By biggest disappointment was the water pressure was so low when I went to take a shower in the morning. Another minor thing was the TV station listing didn't match the actual stations when you turned the TV on so you have to search and search to find your stations. The coffee was average at best. Room was okay.
Juan Manuel (8/5): - Besides needing to move to another room due to key entry not working on our room and AC being a little to loud the overall stay was great. Our suite King Bed room had plenty of room plus breakfast was awesome! Service was great too!...
HL (4/5): Dated facility in need of upgrade - For a room that cost over $200 per night, I was expecting a more modern, up to date facility. The carpeting in the hallways, elevator and room was worn and stained. Room HVAC were window units that were noisy and struggled to keep the room cool, even at night. The refrigerator was not operating, one lamp had a missing bulb, the overall room lighting was poor. One bright spot was the free breakfast which was very nice, with a good selection of both hot and cold items. I understand when local activities are high and rooms are scarce, it is a sellers market, but I feel that the value received for the amount charged was not worth it.
Pet Owner (6/5): Not pet friendly - Website states hotel is pet friendly but does not state a $75.00 per night fee. I was not told of the fee when I checked in even though I stated on the reservation that I was bringing a dog. I didn't see the small sign posted by the door until the next day. Too late at that time to find another hotel. If you are traveling with a pet, don't choose this hotel.
Verified traveler (6/5): Needs some attention - As soon as we arrived we had no signal on our TV. We informed the front desk and the ac was not working properly it would go off every 20 minutes and sounded like a old fashioned printer. The front desk said we had to go online and complain. She was too busy taking care of her little baby.
Patricia (8/5): - When we arrived the room was very warm and air conditioner could not keep up. We went to Wal-Mart and bought a fan to help move the air. Bed was very hard, we did not sleep comfortably.
