Activities for the kids, the water park, the amenities, it’s all there, it’s a truly magical place for a wolf den experience

- Verified traveler (8/5): Need new poolside bartenders!! - My son and I stopped here on our way home from the keys, having been disappointed in our lodging choice. Overall this place is great for kids, the slides were awesome, we did them all! My only complaint is the bartenders outside by the pool. I like to drink frozen drinks and when I ordered one i was told I had to go inside for those, so then I was told about a refillable cup that I could use. I bought it and the next day tried to use it for a frozen drink but it apparently wasn't the right cup for frozen because they didn't have any of those outside the day before! The bartender then told me I would have to buy another cup! Also, they didn't seem at all happy to be there! Having been a server/bartender for 25 years, maybe they haven't yet learned that smiles, friendly attitudes and quick service is what gets you good tips! The service at Fireside was very good but I felt a little left out when my server bought the man next to me a beer then bought a drink for the lady who came up and ordered a take out meal next to me! I still tip 20-25%. I would have ordered my dinner to go if I knew it came with a free drink while I wait!

- Verified traveler (4/5): Kids friendly but disgusting - We stayed for 2 nights during the 4th of July weekend, and it was an absolute nightmare. The hotel seems amazing for kids, but it’s simply not prepared to handle the massive crowds that were there over the long weekend. There were extremely long lines for check-in, food, and drinks — the entire place felt completely overwhelmed. Day 1: The wave pool was evacuated due to feces floating in the water and on the pool deck. I saw it myself, had to report it to the staff, and honestly felt nauseated for the next two days just thinking about it. There were also clumps of hair floating in the water and scattered on the floor. Day 2: The outdoor pool was also evacuated — again, due to poop. Unbelievable. More clumps of hair were stuck in drains and littering the pool deck. At that point, we decided to stick to the water park areas, thinking the constantly flowing water might make it safer for our family. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case either. The floors and restrooms in the water park were filthy. With hundreds of people walking around soaking wet, eating and drinking, it was a mess — wet napkins and food everywhere, puddles all over the place. The restrooms were even worse: wet toilet paper on the floor, dirty towels piled up, clogged toilets, and no visible cleaning staff maintaining these areas. We even considered checking out early and going to another hotel, but our kids were enjoying themselves and we didn’t want to ruin their weekend. Day 3: We gave up on the water park
- James (2/5): $2,339.89 charged fraudulently. No customer servi - I checked my credit card and had $2,339.89 in fraudulent charges. One for $1,405.33. My room was prepaid with Afirm so I have no clue what the charge is for. I keep calling the hotel but, never get off hold. Nice place to bad they have little professionalism to deal with these false and fraudulent charges!!!

- Ronald (10/5): - A Fun Family Getaway with a Few Drawbacks Great Wolf Lodge is the next best thing to Disney! The location is excellent—safe, accessible, and surrounded by lots of dining options. The waterpark is a bit smaller than expected but still a hit with the kids. One downside: the water wasn’t at the advertised 84°F, so it felt cold at times. We visited during 4th of July week, and it was very crowded. Be patient during check-in. We had an issue with our reservation, but a friendly staff member named Thais helped us quickly. Parking is tough. It’s often full, so finding a spot can be frustrating. Also, day pass holders have the same access as hotel guests. It would be nice if overnight guests had early entry or other perks. Food is pricey, and the breakfast buffet (about $28/person) wasn’t great. We ended up eating out or in the room most of the time. Tip: Arrive early on check-in day. You can use the waterpark and other amenities before your room is ready—we didn’t know and lost out on that first day. Overall, it’s a fun, memorable experience for families, as long as you plan ahead and manage expectations.
- Crystal (10/5): - I absolutely loved everything about my trip from my room, to the activities and the staff. This is the best kids resort I have ever been to, and I can’t wait to come back. My kids all had a great time my youngest being 7 and the oldest being 15. I arrived to the hotel around 1 and my room was already ready I didn’t have to request an early check in. The property is beautiful and there’s so much to do. The entire staff was amazing everyone I encountered was so nice. It was just a great overall experience.

- Leonela (10/5): - It’s a great place for the whole family. I loved the waterpark and the ease to obtain beverages and food while playing in the waterpark. It does get quite busy so I recommend ordering ahead of time so when you are ready to eat your meal will be ready. For those who enjoy cocktails the bar in the waterpark itself is also a great added bonus. There are so many activities. The value in the souvenir refillable cups is good.

- Schniqua (4/5): - I have to leave a review because of how much I spent vs how much I got out of this family trip. When we arrived, we realized it was $19/day to park and mind you parking is ridiculous and far to walk anywhere. Secondly, the lines were so long just to check in and it took 30-40 mins working with the front because their scanner didn’t work and so many other hiccups. Our rooms are paper thin and i didn’t get any sleep being here. The beds are hard and small. There is no microwave in the room or safe. The rooms are so small. Everything costs and i haven’t even gotten started on the actual water park yet. There is a ten minute movie they play for children which is pretty cool. This place is more for children 10 and under. The water park was over crowded on a thursday and the water tasted like salt and pee. Of course some got in our mouths going down the slides or when the waves came and i was chasing my daughter in the water. There is expensive food at the water park. You have to checkout towels and if you don’t return them they charge you and your room. Our wrist bands kept deactivating so make sure you push the back in and wiggle it around for it to work. There is chaos in the baby area. My daughter came down the slide and a boy kicked her in the face and busted her mouth open. It was just chaos! The good thing is that housekeeping is nice but don’t speak english but i can speak spanish so it was fine. This was a waste of my money and i won’t be back . housekeeping is great

The pool kazebo I rented for the day was cleaned out halfway thru the day because no one was occupying it even though I told them we would be back we needed to go back to the room. Daily passes for guests were only available for next day not same day.

The process just seems to be boggled down with details that might possibly be avoided and have a faster customer service rate. It certainly wasn’t the young woman who was struggling to get through every step she must as required by her job. But it was a painful check-in.

I was using crutches due to a fracture on my knee and besides my kids my 80 years old mother also came with us. The staff did care about my crutches, didn’t care about my old mother they gave us the farthest room. Food not very good options too much junk food. The wands don’t work.

We only stayed for one night but we were able to enjoy two full days of the water park and all Great Wolf Lodge had to offer. We arrived at noon and our room wasn't ready yet but we were able to leave our luggages with reception and enjoy the water park. The following day, we checked out at 11am and stayed for a day of fun at the arcade.
