- Christopher (10/5): - The property was well kept and modern. There was security to greet us and watch the parking area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was open until 10pm which was very convenient. The beach was just in front of the hotel and was very nice, but the waves are big. We only had the fish sandwich at the hotel and it was very good! The only gripe we had with the hotel was that our room was very small. With 2 open luggages in the room it was very difficult to move around the room. The shower was also one of those half glass showers and water would get all over the floor. Besides the tiny room with limited space our experience at the hotel was a very good one.

- Olga (10/5): Beautiful hotel, great stay - We came to Jaco for surfing and this hotel seemed much nicer than others in the area and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The property was beautifully designed and everything felt brand new. The rooms were very comfortable with a lot of attention to detail. You can tell a lot of care went into everything. The hotel café and restaurant/bar were excellent. The pool was perfect for relaxing, and the hotel location couldn’t be better: right in town near restaurants and shops, and directly on the beach with easy surf access. Loved my stay here and would definitely come back.

Ropa de cama que sea suave y confortable las sábanas parecen de plástico, no son nada agradable! No hay secador de cabello y es vital como en todo hotel. En la ducha no hay donde poner jabones un pequeño estante de vidrio, no es cómodo cuando los utilizas! Sería más cómodo si la estadía se incluyera el desayuno dentro de la tarifa incluido, las opciones de menú son limitadas.

Can hear a lot of music and conversation from lobby. Showers in studio do not have towel racks or shelves to put soap or shavers. Limited dining menu. Beds were a bit firm and air conditioning blows right over the bed.

My daughter and i were there for 3 days and it was a refreshing change. Beds were really comfortable! Also, Cocolito surf school was awesome. Ask for Ethan and tell him Christina sent you.

Hotel security was also involved, helping us with luggage, restaurant suggestions, and travel tips. Priscilla (the AM coffee attendant) was clutch to waking up early to get the day started. The hotel’s central location allowed us to easily explore nearby restaurants and shops—everything was just a short walk away. We genuinely can't think of a single negative aspect; it was that good! We’re already planning our return and can’t wait to recommend Hotel Lia to our friends and family.

He takes a lot of pride in the hotel property and his entire staff is very professional, cordial and A+!!!! Congratulations to Nick and his awesome team for taking the local hotel market to a new level!
- Roger (6/5): - Overall positive experience but all the small things add up with a lot to be desired Room: small, no clothes iron, no tvs, nightstands are tiny logs making there no place to put anything, shower doesnt have a shelf, no towel hook at sink, A/C worked great, bed sheets were absolutely terrible not soft at all, more like sleeping with parchment paper Pool: very nice, heated and mostly clean Pool Bar: not used! I'm accustomed to being served food/cocktails at the pool and this was not that experience. You can get a drink there if you flag somebody down to get a server to come back there but otherwise the pool is an unserved area Restaurant/Bar: Food was ok, food is better off premises. Specialty cocktails were fantastic. Don't expect service. What I mean is you have to ask to be served. There was only 1 of the the 5-6 servers who actually stops by to ask if you need anything. Even sitting at the bar the bartenders dont check on you. Coffee is great. No place to charge a phone outside your room. No outlets in any of the outdoor spaces and sitting areas. It wasn't terrible but I would not go back. I have to assume all the 5 star reviews on Google are friends of the owner, people just being nice, or people who have lower expectations than I do and mine are pretty low. I just expect clean rooms, functional rooms, and service. I feel bad even writing this review because the staff was so friendly and polite.

- Afzal (10/5): Best best and only the best place in Jaco !!! - Nice and very clean hotel, staff is really nice and welcoming , I book standard room when I saw that it was small room but the manager for very kind when I request them if they can upgrade room for me they did and they didn’t even charge me for that They all make sure that my stay in Hotel is more comfortable and nice Thanks to all stuff members for their kindness and for their best service I recommend this hotel to everyone !!! They deserve a 5 star rating !!! Good place for families !!!!

This place just got renovated and I think renamed, which is why as of June 2025, there’s not a lot of reviews. Give it a chance. The people are awesome.

- Patrick (10/5): - Completely remodeled and beautiful hotel right on the beach. Palm Springs/Vegas Style pool with an outdoor shower was outstanding and was used often. Staff was wonderful and hotel has 24 hours security. Highly recommended.
