Guest Reviews
- Roberto Carlos (6/5): - Poder tomar adentro
- Madeleine (10/5): - Lovely hotel with the kindest staff. The part of the beach by the hotel is quiet and not as busy as the center, which was a plus in my book!
- Michael (10/5): - Hotel is in a quiet part of Sayulita, about 1.5 miles from downtown. A shot walk to the beach. Pool was amazing and the staff was helpful with providing dining options. Good A/C, wifi was slow. Would not hesitate to stay here again if back in Sayulita.
- angela (10/5): - Beds were super comfortable
Shower was amazing
Air conditioner worked perfect
Loved the large fridge in the room
Pool was outside our door
We had a perfect experience
- Jason (8/5): - We had such a great time staying at Casa Real in Sayulita. The location is amazing — super close to the beach, shops, and tons of great food, but still quiet enough to relax at night. It made it really easy to get around without having to worry about taxis or long walks.
The hotel itself is really chill and comfortable. Everything was clean and nicely kept, and the vibe was relaxed in the best way. The pool was great for cooling off after a beach day or just taking a break in the afternoon. The staff were super friendly and always happy to help out.
The only small downside was the Wi-Fi, which was a bit spotty at times, especially when the kids were trying to stream something. But honestly, we didn’t mind much — we were out enjoying Sayulita most of the time anyway.
If you’re looking for a spot that’s walkable, low-key, and great for families, Casa Real is a solid choice. We’d definitely stay there again.
- Jessica (10/5): - Staff was super helpful and friendly! Will come back again!
- Adela (10/5): - I love this hotel.
- Kirk (8/5): - Lovely staff
- Elva Gpe (10/5): Excelente - Todo estuvo súper bien
- Jacobssen (10/5): - The property was beautiful. Staff were very kind from check-in until check out. One thing that was inconvenient was the towel situation. We booked a room for four people but were only given two towel sets, and had to ask the front desk for extra towels. Even after our room was cleaned we were still given only two towel sets, but the front desk was quick to action our requests.
- Vanessa (10/5): - Property is very clean and Tranquil. Loved everything about it. Will come back for sure.
- octavio (10/5): - Hotel limpio y con buen aire acondicionado. La alberca con buen tamaño. No tiene restaurant.
- Karina (10/5): - cute small hotel. Very clean and just a block away from the beach.
- Karina Montserrat Francisco (10/5): - The property is so beautiful, the service and the personal are so kind and is near of the beach
- ZAN (6/5): - Hotel was OK, but starting to show its age. No serious issues, but water supply to rooms was often on and off. Sometimes you had water, other times none. It apparently was due to some kind of issue with main pump from the Cistern to the building. May off been a one off, but thats how it was.
Staff are absolutely Amazing! Always happy and pleasent, would do what ever they cpuld to help you out or make your stay more comfortable. Never seen any of them without a smile and a Hello. I have been to A LOT of hotels, resorts, properties of all kinds and all kinds of places. This little hotel has by far the best staff Inhave ever seen in my 30 odd years of traveling! The attitude, and just over all happiness was bybfar the best I have seen and made up for the bit of dissapointment in the property itself. Great job!
The pool and garden was well maintained and a pleasue to relax in after a day of exploration, so also a "Well Done" to the staff for maintaining it to the standard they did. Now if the property owner would just invest a little to upgrade the building a bit, then this little out of the way Hotel could easily be taken to a new level...All the main parts are there, just give it a little polish!
- Vanessa Mercedes (10/5): - Fabulous hotel in Sayulita. Quiet location, friendly helpful staff, close to the beach and restaurants. Can't wait to come back!
- Rebeca (10/5): - Staff is super nice! Hotel is very clean and cozy!
- Alexandra (6/5): - The pool area was nice and the hotel was easy walking distance to the beach and town. Quiet location. There are also golf carts to rent. The room was clean but the fridge had a very loud squeaking noise when opened. There was a kitchen but no dishes or cutlery or water glasses in the suite. Unfortunately the gazebo and the back garden was unkept and did not look like the photos. We left 2 days early.
- Ellie (10/5): - This is the perfect budget-friendly stay in Sayulita. Clean rooms with large, comfortable beds and the pool/amenities were great. Staff were helpful and friendly. It’s also a great place for somebody looking for a quieter stay.
Everything is walkable from here. The beach, main square, the footpaths to San Pancho and the bus station. I couldn’t recommend it enough if you’re looking for something on the north side of town.
I made use of the excellent food options in town and did not use the kitchenette in my suite, however a small note would be that that area would benefit from some more basic cooking supplies (like a knife, chopping board), but plates a cutlery could be found down in the common area.
- megan dawn (10/5): - Love this little hotel, we would definitely stay here again.
Leo & Maria are very helpful and both speak excellent English.
The location is perfect, close walk to many eateries, groceries and 1.5 blocks to the beach. This hotel is on the north end, so it’s a lot quieter than the south end / plaza. If you’re looking for some “excitement” it’s an easy 15 min walk to the heart of Sayulita (which we called crazy town haha).
Hotel pool is lovely, the beds are very comfortable, the a/c works well and is quiet.
Rooster across the street it a little loud, but it’s Mexico, what can ya do :)
Highly recommend this little gem.
- Jennifer (10/5): - Quiet, near everything but not in the middle of the town, comfortable, nice pool and dining area (no restaurant). The cieling fan was noisy but that can be repaired.
- Ann Marie (6/5): Okay, but doesn’t live up to the photos on website - Trip for one night. Disappointed in the actual condition of the room and the pool area. Room was outdated and not well appointed. No TV, utensils or glasses. Told that they were at the end of the hallway. Room was more rustic than shown in photos.
- Seth gail (8/5): - It was great ! Only downside is there isn’t a tv in the rooms lol
- Prabhjot (4/5): - The lack of communication from the staff was the worst experinece. We stayed there for 8 days. They knew exactly what time we are returning. They waited for the last minute to inform us that our check in is one hour late and wanted us to pay. Paying them $500 did not hurt me. But I did not appreciate the fact that we used to talk to reception desk everyday twice and they did not inform us about check out time. The moment we were 30 minutes over the check out time, they asked us for payment.
Very poor customer service
- Patrice (10/5): - This was a fun, quiet stay for three ladies traveling. If there is any caution, the streets are very dark at night so bring a light source of some kind. Also...there's a rooster who doesn't know the difference between day and night. Other than that, excellent experience!
- Trevor (10/5): - Great location and nice rooms. Unfortunately there was a rooster that woke us up every morning at 5 am and did not stop making noise until 9 am
- Ola (10/5): - Wonderful stay! Very close to the beach and many restaurants/bars. Everything was walking distance. Rooms were clean and big with comfortable bed, and staff was very helpful with arranging airport transportation and golf cart rentals. Only downsides are that They only offered coffee and water but we knew that going into it. There’s also a rooster across the street that is very loud throughout the night, but honestly it didnt bother us at all. Would recommend!
- James (6/5): Nice convenient clean place close to beach - Pro: Staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was clean and very convenient location on N side of town away from the hubbub and a couple minute walk to the beach.
Con: We had a minor problem with a poor draining shower drain, and screen door that wouldn’t lock but was remedied with a stick in the door trac. Also, the whale/island tour was over priced. Would do through a different vendor.
We’d stay again .
- Andrea (8/5): - This is a lovely boutique hotel in Sayulita. Close to the beach and restaurants but far enough away from downtown that it was very quiet. The staff were very helpful, especially Lio at the front desk. This was the first time I have gone to Mexico and not stayed in an all inclusive. I can’t recommend it enough.
- Kyriaki (10/5): - The staff is fantastic, very accommodating with anything you need. The hotel is quaint, has a nice pool and nice size rooms. It’s in an excellent location, close enough to everything, but far enough to be quiet. I felt very safe in this area.
- Adrian (6/5): - The hotel was in a good location, very close to the town and the beach. The staff were super helpful however, they do not offer breakfast and the rooms need an update. Everything works but the place felt a little worn. It changed management only recently and i look forward to visiting again if they spruce up the rooms a little. But for the price it was extremely convenient
- Kathy (8/5): - Casa Real Hotel is a simple, nice hotel. Very convenient to the beach and restaurants. Staff was helpful and friendly. A few things were a bit quirky like the stove top, the fan, the hot water, but nothing that made the stay unpleasant. I would stay again.
- Marlen (8/5): - We we're greeted by a very friendly front desk clerk. The rooms were clean, with fridge and dishwashing sink. No tv's, paper towels or tissues but for the price it's great and fairly quiet (except for the rooster at 3am).
- Ben (10/5): - quiet, simple room with a comfortable bed
- Allan (6/5): - Pros
The staff was pleasant and accommodating
Easy checkin and out
The bathroom was well light and the shower was nice, with ample hot water.
The safe in the room worked
Cons
The room was not secure. The patio door did not lock nor did the rear window.
The fridge was unplugged
Lighting in the bedroom was not good
No dishes, cutlery, cups/glasses, or trash can in kitchenette.
- Francesca (10/5): - Excellent staff. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Clean and beautiful property.
The garden area seemed underutilized or maybe not in use during our stay, but the small pool area in the front was lovely. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Rita Andrea (10/5): - Buen lugar
- Nelson (10/5): - RELAXING PLACE
- Jordan (10/5): - Quiet little hotel a ten minute walk to the town square and a short walk to the beach. I went to enjoy the beach and it was very convenient. The room was very basic, but everything you needed. Beautiful courtyard with a coffee area and a pool. I would gladly spend more time there. Very clean and well kept.
- Chris (10/5): - Great spot
- Jesus (10/5): - Muy recomendable. limpio ,seguro. Personal amigable y servicial. La cocinera muy conveniente
