Guest Reviews
- Mitzi (2/5): - This is the worst place I’ve ever stayed. The carpet was disgusting and stained, the body wash and shampoo and conditioner were all nearly gone, there was no tv or internet or ac. The most disturbing thing as that it was not secure. The door kept opening off and on all night from wind or other doors slamming. The chain on the door was missing. Very unhappy. A cleaning fee was added on which was not disclosed and we paid $200 for this. The man who checked us in was efficient and nice.
- Tyler (2/5): - Poorly maintained. Our bed was broken. We were charged extra for a supposed cleaning fee which was mentioned nowhere. There was no office to check in. I had to ask at the restaurant in the fromt where to go. They checked me in there. It was confusing because there was no sign even in the restaurant. There were broken lamps and light fixtures. No soaps or shampoos of any kind in the bathrooms. The walls were so paper thin, we could hear conversations very clearly in the next room. The people were nice but didn’t seem to have any good answers for us. I would NOT recommend this place at all. Stay away.
- Fred (2/5): - It was a two queen beds. One bed was a mattress the other bed was a box spring mattress. The bathroom needed work. The unit was very dated.
- Annie (4/5): - This property was so disgusting I didn't dare take my shoes off while walking around the room. I did check the beds for bedbugs and didn't find any. The shower had mold. The toilet had mold. There were stains on the carpet. The bedspreads had tears and the stitching was coming out, resulting in long threads trailing across the bed. There were only three outlets in the entire room and one of them was behind the bed and not really accessible. No airconditioning - only a box fan (on the floor). The mini fridge door kept coming open - we put the desk chair in front of it to keep it closed. I do not recommend anyone staying here. No TV. No internet. There is no access to Bear Lake from this property - you have to walk around the block and down a public street to get to the lake.
- walter (2/5): - A hidden $45 cleaning fee. No management at the office. My fee was $300 and the people at the room next door paid $90.
- Shawn (2/5): - In the first room the bed was tilted. Would have rolled right out. Next room had bugs. I have pictures. Two light bulbs missing. Another light bulb twisted right off. I would never stay there again. $150 was charged to Pay Pal acct before arriving. They charged another $45. I want my money back.
- JENNIFER (4/5): - Check in process was terrible. No person onsite. Incorrect instructions posted about self check in. Listed a phone number to call for checkin that no one answered.
- Tristin (2/5): - Dingy motel room! One of the beds was broken. The bathroom sink had missing tiles and looked to be about 80 years old. No air conditioning, no Tv, non-working refrigerator, microwave conveniently placed on ground next to the bed, and an old broken refrigerator just hanging out on the porch in front of the door. The door itself was falling apart, and had no deadbolt lock. The only thing securing the room was a poorly installed knob and a security chain that could have been easily broken off with about 15 pounds of force.
Check-in was interesting as there are no employees, signs, or directions on how to do so. I ended up wandering into the pizza place that is attached to the building where I was able to obtain a key, but not before the gentleman tried to scam me out of an additional cleaning fee of $45. I was able to show him that it was in fact paid when i booked through Expedia, but apparently some of the other guests that I spoke to were not so lucky and had to pay this additional fee.
Last but not least. The outside "courtyard area" was completely trashed from the remnants of a campsite / party. An abandoned popup camper, some bbq grills, and empty beer bottles littered the area just outside of my room.
This place felt like a flop house for hookers and junkies. 150% DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
- Kaden (2/5): - Room was a mess. You are charged a $45 cleaning fee, but it doesn’t seem like rooms are cleaned all that well. There was dirt everywhere, especially the bathroom. The bathroom sink was dirty. Dead bugs in the closet, and clothes from previous patrons under the bed. No hand soap in the bathroom. Listing doesn’t mention that there’s no A/C. Listing says public WiFi, there are no options.
- Jonathan (2/5): - Double charged us. No AC. No staff. No clean towels available. Run down and old. Had a box fan covered in dust to use when it was hot. Would neber recommend this location to anyone
- Leta (6/5): - The place is old, dated and over priced for what it is.
- Anthony (2/5): - What you see is not what you get. This is over priced for what you get.
Broken bed, broken ceiling fan front door doesn't lock and there is no interior lock or chain as required for security. It is not up to code with any state or licensing bureaus.
- Jim (2/5): Old, decrepit, dirty and run down - This place is an absolute dive. It was built 50+ years ago and has not been kept up. The mattresses and blankets seemed about that old as well. The bathroom was missing tiles. There were bugs and spiders visible around the room. When I first walked into the room, it was clear that someone had slept in the bed and the room had not been cleaned. This was the definition of a dive.
- lilian (10/5): - When I arrived at the place, it was difficult for me to check it out. The bathroom has problems with the shower, the water stagnates and the shower is dirty.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not worth the price - Room was dirty mold in the shower bathroom floor was gross. No air conditioning power kept going in and out so you couldn’t even keep a fan running.
- Steven (2/5): - I paid NOT to stay there…I checked in and said “Hell no!!” I checked out the room, which as horrible…the bathroom was even worse, no towels, if you were to take a shower, you would have to dry off with a hand towel…and the Fridge didn’t even have a door on it… the “lake view” room didn’t have a window were you could even see the lake…we didn’t want to catch something, so we ended up driving back to Logan.
- Russ (2/5): Nightmare - A tent on the ground would be better - First of all they charge way too much for the dump that they call a motel at almost $200 per night, this place is not worth $25 a night. Our employees arrived and had to go get a key from the pizza place, no one was in the lobby, which had bags stacked in a pile, very trashy! I am not sure how the door handle is staying on the door, there is only a few pieces of wood holding it on, this is not secure at all, anyone could just walk in and this is all of the doors, if you zoom in on their pictures, you can see it.. The beds might as well be on the floor and not comfortable at all. It is the middle of summer and they do not have air conditioning, just a fan on the floor and they do not tell you that on the Hotels.com website, you just find this out when you get there. Our employees stayed one night out of the 3 we paid for and they would not give us a refund for the other 2 nights. The place is filthy with stains on the floor and I read some other reviews about bugs. Trust me you would be better of staying outside than in this place. Don't waste your money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Kamille (2/5): The Bates Motel - It was horrible. No A/C. No screen on windows. No TV. No WiFi. So gross I don’t know how the are in business. We cut our trip short and left a day early because it was unbearable.
- Bayleigh (2/5): - Genuinely the worst hotel experience I’ve ever encountered. Started right when we got there. The “lobby” wasn’t even a lobby , had to play a wild goose chase to figure out who to even talk to about getting my key . Apparently the motel and the pizza restaurant that is attached to the building are run by the same people who have absolutely no idea what they’re doing. They told me they double booked the room I had payed for and then gave me a key to a room that didn’t accommodate the party we had with us. I showed them my reservation and they told me there was nothing they could do and I could just cancel the reservation. Took them over an hour to even get me a key for the wrong room. The bunkbeds weren’t even full assembled , they literally were coming apart and we had 3 kids with us. There was no AC just 2 dinky box fans. And they didn’t even stock any toilet paper in the room. Needless to say , find somewhere else to stay
- Gordon (2/5): - They didn’t have a room they overbooked, refund my money
- Kim (2/5): - This was a terrible place to stay. Room was dirty and infested with bugs, which appeared to be ticks. Didn't take shower due to uncleanliness and bugs. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Room had no A/C with weather very warm. Available fans not acceptable. No wi-fi, no tv. Door to outside had a broken lock and window without a screen and unable to lock. Outside porch light burnt out and outside grounds not maintained.
- Dawn (2/5): - The place was infested with bedbugs
- Christian (2/5): - The door to the room did not properly lock and close. There were cockroaches and the only way to cool the room down was with box fans. When we talked to the front desk they couldn't care less about the state of the rooms and bushed it all off.
- Luke (2/5): - Room not ready, couch smelled like pee with stains. Floor with stains and dirty. hair on floor, bed, in bathroom. Dead bugs. Outdated old everything, old uncomfortable beds, no AC or TV. Trash around property outside. Playground falling apart. We brought in own sleeping bags and lake towels so bad
- Greg (2/5): Don’t do it. - This place shouldn’t be on Hotels.com
And certainly not for $200. That’s insane.
When you pay that much you expect a bit more and this place needs a LOT of updating.
I’d sort of expect this if the room price was $79. And of course I would not have rented a $79 room.
Needs electrical updates, new carpet, damaged/heavily used sinks, tubs. Just needs overhauled.
The amount of “differed maintenance” is huge.
- Maria (2/5): - Excelente ubicación, pero mucho mal olor. Ni papel sanitario!
- Troy (10/5): - I had an Awesome Time on my Run Vacation. The Hotel Manager, Skylar was courteous, professional and helpful. The Food and Service at thw Firehouse Pizzeria was totally delicious!!! I really felt safe and welcomed by all!
- Mike (2/5): Horrible smell! - The place smelled horrible. We left an hour after we checked in.
