- Thu (6/5): - There are quite a few positive things to talk about this property. 1. The staff communication was great. I lost the email with checkin instruction a few hours before the checkin time and was assisted timely to get it. 2. It is a very quiet and nice environment to be in. 3. The dishwasher and washer/dryer worked great. And the kitchen got what we needed to stay comfortably for a week. A few issues we ran into while staying there: 1. The front door was a bit dusty and was occupied by many wasps. When we came in, a whole bunch of them burst out and scared us to death. After that, it seemed like they were cleared at the door and moved to the plants nearby instead. 2. Only the living room had an AC. All bedrooms had neither fans nor ACs. On the first date, we did not crack the windows at night. The rooms were a bit hot. So we had to sleep in the living room. If there was not ACs in the bedrooms, the listing should have mentioned that. 3. Even though the property was part of the Wintergreen Resort but we did not know that we got no access to the Devil's Knob Grill restaurant and the pool. It was a disappointment as we were turned away. Another issue we had was the cell service in the area. That must be from our phone provider. Once we were out of the Wintergreen Resort, my phone started working again. It was interesting that way. I could only text. Overall, everything was okay. It could have been a bit better if we were well-informed about the property in the listing. Thanks
