Guest Reviews
- nicholas (10/5): Brilliant! - It was perfect for what we were after. A night in Southampton before getting an early ferry. Location for that. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Really helped make the stay.
Only thing we would change would be a fan in the room, as widows didn't open much to get air flow. That said it was one of the hottest nights of the year.
- Donna Marie (2/5): A catalogue of errors - Unfortunately, our experience during our stay was quite disappointing.
First, I had to call the helpline and wait over five minutes to get through because my confirmation check-in instructions had not been sent, despite my completing the portal at the time of booking weeks ago. It then took an hour for those instructions to finally arrive after the phone call.
When we arrived at the property, there was no one at the reception, and the mobile number provided went straight to voicemail. After waiting for 20 minutes, someone finally exited the building, allowing us to wait inside out of the hot sun.
We kept calling the mobile number with no response, and I was in the process of reaching the helpline when the receptionist eventually appeared and gave us our keys.
The stay itself was horrendous. The bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable, and the room was so hot that we were unable to sleep.
To make matters worse, this morning, the fire alarm went off before 7 a.m., prompting us to exit the building and wait for the receptionist to turn it off.
They did not speak to anyone or conduct a headcount, and when the alarm finally stopped, they simply walked away without providing any instructions to the evacuated guests. After waiting for some time, everyone re-entered the building.
Overall, due to this awful experience, we had no choice but to cut our trip short and return home to get some sleep, missing out on our planned day and night out in Southampton.
- Kevin (2/5): - We checked out an hour after getting there very sub standard. We booked another hotel to stay in last night .
- Shade (8/5): - The property was clean with necessary utensils. Secure access to the property as well . Lacked air conditioning and tea/ coffee makings
- Joshua (2/5): Disgusting waste of money - This place was disgustingly dirty. Didn’t have any toilet paper, or even soap in the bathroom. Ants and bugs running around everywhere. The bed was hard as a rock and it was stiflingly hot in the room. Bathroom was mouldy. Fridge was turned off which mean the entire room stank like stale mould.
Couldn’t get access initially, no one at reception - also no mention of this being student accommodation which then you get an email saying you need student ID? Felt like I was going to die in the elevator. Honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had and paid for. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME.
- Camellia (2/5): - We checked out within an hour of checking in. It was actually unbearable. The property does not have air con except on the basement floor. The lobby, the hallways, and especially the rooms were hot and muggy, you can't even open the window fully to get some air flow. We complained to the front desk guy, he said he understood because he was sweating bullets and the employees don't have AC either! How can they treat their guests and employees like this?
- Lamel (8/5): - It was ok for a quick stay. nothing fancy.
