Guest Reviews
- Kiona D (4/5): - The area around the hotel was clean and made accessing public transportation really easy since there was a train stop close by. Checking in was easy and the staff was nice enough. But some things about the room were just off. The room had clearly been cleaned recently, but I saw 3 baby roaches. Two of which I saw on the bed. There was also something suspiciously like mold on the curtain by the AC. Speaking of which, the AC worked until it started making weird vibrating noises. The few neighbors I saw were friendly enough until one of them would start screaming and slamming into the wall by my room. Overall, I never felt the need to leave because the conditions weren't horrible. But they were bad enough that I don't see myself staying at this hotel again or recommending it to anyone else.
- April (6/5): - Shower had hair in it for past person who was there. Other than that it was a good stay.
- Elija (2/5): - Bloodstains on the curtains, bits of trash on the restroom floor, gunshots and frequent visitors from 3am-6am, rude front desk
- Samson (6/5): - I like the food that was around but parking was to small
- Ceasia (10/5): - Quick check in. Clean room and quick response to towel request. There was Plenty of free parking as well. My only con was the traffic noice late at night.
- Ava (2/5): - room was dirty, mystery splatter on walls, room card kept not working
- Anastasia (4/5): - Although
- james P paris (2/5): - Should of known the minute I saw they rented rooms by the hour. People yelling in the hallways until 5am. Shower door feel down, shattered, cutting up my wife. Attendant blamed her. The mere fact that this was possible at all is litigineous. Dangerous. Would recommend a safer area, safer place to stay.
- Nereida (6/5): - It was nice just needed fresh towels, the 4 days there, and no fresh towels.
- MHD Tark (2/5): - This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had and I travel often. I booked this property through Expedia and left within hours of checking in because it was completely unsafe and uninhabitable.
The hotel is in an extremely dangerous neighborhood, which was never disclosed in the listing.
The images online were completely misleading and do not reflect the actual state of the property.
The reception desk is enclosed in thick glass for employee safety, a clear sign of how unsafe the area is.
My room had no lock on the door, no bathroom door at all, and even had blood stains on the wall.
I was traveling with my 1-year-old baby, and the conditions made the stay terrifying and absolutely unacceptable for families or anyone concerned with basic safety.
This hotel should not be listed on Expedia or any other travel platform. It is unsafe, unsanitary, and completely misrepresented online. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this property.
- Haleigh (4/5): - This hotel did the bare minimum. I had a bed, a mini-fridge, and a bathroom. But other than that, the street was noisy, the location is horrible, and I did not feel like the room was clean, which was confirmed when I found multiple hairs around the room that did NOT belong to me. The price was cheaper than others around the area, but even so I know hotels in Manhattan that are cheaper.
- Jessica (2/5): - Booked this stay last minute because of an overnight flight delay, relatively close to JFK. Not good experience. It was extremely loud, could hear everything happening in the hall and throughout building. People banging on doors at 1:30am. The room itself smelled terribly of smoke. The sheets and pillowcase had someone else’s hair on it. The vinyl plank floors had water seeping up through the seams but I didn’t do anything about it because I had 5 hours before I needed to be back at the airport. Wore shoes in the room to avoid. The worst aspect for me was that the doors did not have locks from the inside so it did not feel safe. Would not recommend. Unfortunately it was my only reasonable option because of late booking.
- Katherine (8/5): - Me gusta que fue fácil hablé con el personal me tenía que quedar más tiempo y me solucionaron rápido y con facilidad
- Leonard (10/5): - Overall a good place to stay
- Sahianny (10/5): - It was a tea
- Joan (4/5): - En 7 noches solo tuve servicio a la limpieza de la habitación una sola vez
- Dennis (2/5): - Yes
- Mason Ethan (6/5): - Okay stay. Very loud surrounding area with a main road means you will struggle to sleep at night if easily risen.
Area was a little rough but near a train terminal which made travel easy.
Noise can be heard from all floors through the walls. Staff were quite rude and didn’t really seem to either welcome or trust me.
Wouldn’t stay again but wasn’t the worst experience in the world for what I paid.
- Phillip (10/5): - Staff were amazing and very accommodating
- Precious (6/5): - Cleaning lady didn't change our bedding. other guest hair was in the bed
- Sharee (10/5): - Nice place just wish they had a microwave
- Josue (8/5): - 👍
- Phillip (10/5): - Keep up the great work and staff is amazing and accommodating
- Marie (4/5): - I liked that it had consistent WiFi. I disliked that it had no eating facilities, not even coffee or water. The room was like a big box with a bed. You could barely turn around. There was no ice or place to get a drink of water, no closet and no hangers to hang your clothes. The floor was oozing some kind of sticky liquid and sometimes water was pouring from a leak in the lighting fixture in the bathroom. I had sniffles and a runny nose all night, which completely cleared up the following day after I left the property to stay elsewhere. They had no information on what was available close by and it seemed like the neighborhood might be unsafe. The staff was unpleasant and only seemed trained to collect your money. I expected more for $300.00 a night. I got a much much nicer, bigger room for less in the heart of Manhattan. I'll never stay at BKWAY again, unless there is absolutely no other choice!
- Marc (2/5): - The manager at the desk was rude, and completely unfriendly. I would never stay here again.
- Tina (10/5): - I just needed a place to sleep. I was barely there. But the only things there was no closet to hang our clothes and the ac was leaking all over the floor. I would recommend to go back again
- Sanaul (4/5): - There is no instruction in the room for service contact, staffs acted like robots and not welcoming.Just next to road and so noosy even at night .Overpriced.Will never go again
- Mike (10/5): Cute Hotel - Great tiny hotel with just enough room for a sleep on a good bed. If you're looking for amenities or extravagance go somewhere else. If you're looking for for a great, comfortable and clean place to sleep while on vacation this place is perfect!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not great - smoking buds and smell all over - Stay was not great, the cleaned room contains cigarette buds and unclean. It says non smoking area but you get the smell of smoking all over
- Ajay (6/5): - Very poor.
- Fredrick (2/5): - Wet hotel ever
- Tiffany (8/5): Recommend - Food is close by, rooms are clean. The hall way needs work it always smells. But overall I give it a 8/10, would recommend
- Jordin (4/5): - Looked better in photos. Smelled terrible. Frequent elevator issues. Dirty sheets. Loud guests.
- Shahadat (4/5): - Not good allover
- Toni Ann (8/5): - Fine for a short stay, we had to pay the early check in fee in cash. Free parking lot in the back was nice. Walls are pretty thin so you can hear street noise. Hallway and elevator smelled like cigarettes which was a down side. Surrounding area is pretty quiet, just folks going to and from work no nonsense for the most part.
- Timothy (2/5): No rest for the wear - The room was very small, no closet to hang your belongings, no desk, no chair, no counter to place your belongings, no iron and board, no hair dryer, the staff on my floor was cleaning at 1 and 2 am and you constantly hearing booming noise from the door opening and closing, the front dest had 1 clerk ( although he was very nice) on duty behind a big partition glass like a sleazy hotel. A couple was loud talking for over an hour at 1.30 am. Fortunately I lived in NYC for 40+ years and know it like the back of my hand, and I gave this hotel a try because it is brand new and the area is constantly being rebuilt, however I definitely would not recommend this hotel for anyone traveling from out of town.
- Roberto (8/5): Not too bad. - The room was very nice and clean, bed is comfortable, bathroom is spotless clean. Staff is friendly. Only con is it's in a busy area, so very noisy.
- Heberton (6/5): - Up coming area
- Victoria (2/5): - I wish I could give this hotel negative stars, the bed feels like you’re sleeping on BRICKS! The room was clean but of course the sheets weren’t, had to wait more than 30 minutes for toilet tissue, asked for an extra pillow never got that until the next day when housekeeping was cleaning other rooms, locked out of our room the second night there, 2nd night someone next to us smoked allllll night long from weed to cigarette. The only good thing was we were close by family so we didn’t have to drive far. I WOULD NEVER DTAY HERE AGAIN!!
- Khalid (10/5): - Clean friendly staff parking included
- Erna Genie (6/5): - It was okay. The rooms and bathrooms are way smaller in person compared to the pictures. Wasn’t really impressed especially it being my first time in New York. But at least it was clean . The AC was NOT it, I was alwayss hot even when the ac was on.
- Catherine (8/5): - The property was good the staff are working well with what they are given. Someone should definitely be on top of the smoking and marijuana inside of the facility. Especially when people may have health conditions that could be affected by smoking inside of a facility specifically.
Also, someone should keep loitering away from the front doors. Room was cleanly air conditioning did not work well which is not the greatest in the middle of a heat wave. The lack of rating is absolutely about the facility and not the staff. The staff are great.
- Dwayne (6/5): - Location, less than 15 mins from the airport.
There is no fridge in the room given that it’s summer and may need to store water or beverage.
- Brendon (8/5): - Nice property, clean bathroom!
- Perseus (10/5): - The hotel was clean and modern and quick to help and respond. They offered customers free breakfast and I liked that they had everything near them
- Claire (4/5): - The lobby smelled like cigarette smoke and weed, and there were air fresheners everywhere to try and mask it. Check in was very old school- paper sign-in and such. Checked in at midnight after a day of traveling. My room- 401- had curtains that didn’t fully cover the window, and a shower that leaked so the bathroom floor was soaked. I called for a different room, and got sent to 604. While this one had curtains that covered the windows, it smelled like artificial cleaner and smoke. The floor was not particularly clean and the curtains had crusted food(?) stains on them. Tv only partially worked. Walls were very thin. The surrounding area wasn’t great either (though that isn’t the fault of the hotel- just the area of Brooklyn you’re in). Would never stay again.
- Kenan (4/5): - It wasn’t good
- Sandro (4/5): - Unlike the pictures room was extremely small, no ice no cups basically nothing, Very noisy and not really clean
- Alina (10/5): - Cozy room and clean .
- kemi (8/5): - Room was clean and tidy. Local to the train station so getting about was also convenient. Overall nice place
- Vince (6/5): - Hotel, was fine & staff friendly. Good connections to the subway
- Carrie Ann (2/5): - Smokes like weed prostitution drugs etc
- charly (2/5): - Wasn’t worth my money
- Yeffry (2/5): - They advertise the hotel wrongly. Its not clean and the room smelled. Dangerous at night to walk. They have a sign for no refunds at front because they know how bad the place is. I installed booked another hotel that same night. Wouldnt risk it. Unless you tight on money then you get what you pay for.
- abayomi (6/5): - My AC wasnt cooling properly, TV internet super slow, watch YouTube but slow.
Not a bad hotel, staffs where amazing and room was clean,
- Abdullah (2/5): - the front just told me there is a parking when I called him but when I arrived at night, there is no parking lot and I went to look for a parking on the street and I spent more than two hours and I couldn't find a parking to park my car, Also, the bed was so dirty, also, it was too noisy . I have heard woman screaming all night because she's having sex with a man , I called the front desk but he didn't do anything , I wanna re mention that the bed was sooooo dirty . I HAVE PICS THAT PROVE EVERYTHING I SAY. I am ASKING FOR FULL REFUND, it was terrible experience, knowing that it was my first time using expedia to book a hotel
