- Jewel (6/5): - The check-in process was easy. The place is safe for travelers. There was enough toiletries supply. However, the AC was noisy and the owner gave us instructions to troubleshoot which we are not comfortable doing. The dryer machine were not drying our clothes. We stayed late trying to make our clothes dry until we gave up and just hang them to dry. Overall, it was a good stay but could have been better.
- Brainda (6/5): - The first floor room we had first has a strong cigarette smell since the smoking room is on the same floor and actually just right across. The second room we moved to was on the second floor which was a lot better. Second room wasnt ready until next day so i was a little stressed about the smell since I have a 2 year old with me. But staff communicated quickly and was helpful. We were supposed to throw trash out front but no signs to trash. The area we thought was trash said staff only. Theres no hooks for towels around sinks and the towel holders to bath are inside bathing area. The beds weren't the best as well. We did like the soaps and the room especially the tatami area. The ventilation was very good. We were able to airdry our clothing overnight.

La entrada y salida se realizan de forma autónoma sin interacción con ningún miembro del staff en ningún momento. No es céntrico, el metro está a 10minutos caminando y hay paradas de autobús a 3 mins. Supermercados y convo is a 3 mins también.

- Yasuyo (6/5): - 部屋に２つ、洗剤が置いてあり、部屋も綺麗だった。外国人の旅行者が多く、洗濯機や乾燥機の中に洗濯物が入りっぱなしだったり、何台も同一人物が使っていてなかなか空かなかった。乾燥機のフィルターが何度も外れてガタガタ凄まじい音が鳴っていたので、無人のデメリットも感じた。

Didn’t get codes to enter building or room until after we called and spoke to someone. Used futon bed in room rather than reg bed only to find a note Saying that we would be charged extra for linens for futon since there was only 2 people staying in room. Overall - great value, room was super clean, grocery store across the street, walking distance to Nijo Castle, easy access to transportation. Would recommend- just READ all the info in advance so you understand exactly what a residence hotel is!
- Joy (10/5): - Bus stop is 5 minutes walk from the property and adult fare is standard where ever you go around the area. Nijo castle is only 7 minutes walk, Nijo-jo subway station is 8-10 minutes walk, and only 2 minutes walk to the closest grocery store. I like how each guest have their own bed and there's 2 restroom that is separate from one another, which is good for a party of 6 people. No issue with asking a set of fresh new towels when staff is around in the morning. Wahers and dryers available at 1st floor for everyone to share.

- Yin (2/5): - The hotel didn’t accommodate the date change. The Expedia booking changed the date itself. In the beginning of the booking showed it can cancel or make changes, when requested for date change never happened. It was unpleasant experience with booking, cancellation or requesting for changes. Expedia personal just sent an email about the unable to change the date. When I called to spoke the Expedia personal they always said not to worry and we will take care of it and I did not see the outcome that I requested. I would like to see a different outcome to take care of customer as promise.

Fortunatly, a worker was present and he oppened the door + gave us all the informations needed for our stay. On the good side, it is well located (the neighborhood is very nice) and the price is very nice. Overall, it was just ok.

- YOSHIHIRO (8/5): よかったことと 分かりにくくて困ったこと - リーズナブルなお値段で宿泊でき、小さい子供連れにはベッドプラス お布団もあり大変助かりました。 朝食がついてなかったですが、ちょっとした台所がありよかったです。 5歳の子供が、ベッドが広くて喜びすぎて走り回り ちょっと唇を怪我してしまったのが残念でしたが。 あと 予約をする際にお問い合わせした時に現場での支払いではなく クレジットでとのことでしたので クレジット番号を入れて予約しましたが、予約確認のメールでは、封筒にお金を入れて出してくださいとあったので、二重になってしまうといけないので、ホテルに問い合わせしようとしたところ、 KOKO がつく 同じ名前のホテルがあって 問い合わせに時間がかかってしまいました。フロントの電話の男性の方に「うちのホテルには泊まっておられません。この電話はただの営業妨害です！」とか言われ心外でした。 やっと、ランドー ホテル スイーツ 札幌 というカスタマーセンターのようなところにつながり 、泊まったホテルの確認と宿泊税のことが分かりました。このことで朝の時間がかかってしまい予定のところに行けませんでした。 ホテル内の案内にも電話番号とか 封筒 などもありませんでしたので 分かりにくかったのが残念でした。

- eden (10/5): - We stayed on adjoining ground floor apartments. Each apartment had two queen sized beds (plus two extra futons), a raised tatami sitting area, a kitchenette, 2 toilets and a Japanese style bathroom (shower area and a deep tub). Each opened to a beautiful private garden with outdoor seating. There's a common laundry area next to the reception with washers and dryers. There's a large supermarket across the street and a couple of convenience stores, some restaurants. Buses to Kinkakuji and Arashiyama as well as to downtown (Shijo/Sanjo Kawaramachi) are just around the corner. Nijo is just across the road (on Horikawa-dori) and the Imperial Palace is a 10 minute walk away... We got 50% off when we booked so very reasonable even at full price. 100% recommended!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Not your average hotel - The hotel was very nice! I loved how the decor was inside. I was very surprised because I made the reservation based off of one review. I had my doubts but I’m glad I got it. I highly enjoyed that the laundry machines were free. We also felt safe as well. There was a security code at the door of the hotel and one for your room. It did make up the fact, IF you stay more than 3 nights, you can get more towels, but only you order it ahead of time. So our family of 3 got two towels for three nights. Also, we were asked to take the trash out of the hotel. Never had to do that but I’m glad I read the information that was in the book. It’s not your average hotel stay.
