Guest Reviews
- Amanda (6/5): - Bedding was not clean had hair and limt all over.
Towels were stained.
- Daniel (2/5): - Nothing in this room worked. Everything was unplugged. No remote control for tv. Burns on sheets. Phone does not call front desk. Everything smelled like cigarettes.
- kacy (2/5): - I want to formally request a refund/discount due to unsafe and unsanitary conditions in my room. I’ve taken photos documenting the issues. The condition of the room does not match what was advertised, and I’ve even been required to move equipment myself, which is unacceptable.
- Penny (4/5): - Bathroom toilet seat broken and comes off completely. No toilet paper on the roll. No shower curtain. Hair on the bathroom floor and room needs a deep cleaning
- Joseph (2/5): - Upon arriving, no one was at front desk. I had to call out for help and it took a few minutes for help to arrive. He was not friendly at all. I gave him my name and ID, he quickly told me that it would be extra for the two of us because the reservation was only for one. I told him I booked for two , he said I didn't do I have to pay 20 more. I said I can get a better place then this for an extra 20, ( flea bag) I didn't think of pulling up my email and showing him until much later. I told that I don't want the room he said no refund, but I bought the insurance for cancellation. I told him that. He didn't care. Probably be when I filed a claim to get my money back they said they need to talk with hotel owner first. I haven't been refunded yet. It's been 24 days. My itinerary states I made reservation for two . I don't know why it didn't show on hotels reservation, and still don't. Worst time I've experienced thru Expedia. The hotel was a dump. Not one car in parking lot, they needed money and they got for giving me no services at all. I do not recommend this fleabag motel. It's rated two stars for a reason, I should have known better.
- Renzo (2/5): - Is horrible you can't call the thing hotel. The place is following down and they said that their not responsable if something happens to you also they don't provide room service so no cleaning in the room no towels the place is in poor conditions lots of drug addicts and they don't give you your money back so you get to stay even do if you don't want to stay. In the app the pictures look like a nice place they lied is expensive I could of go to a real hotel with that money I am hopping you guys do something about this place it should be closed
- Adrian (10/5): - I liked how I had a microwave and a mini refrigerator in my room. Plus a walk in shower.
- Jaida (2/5): - Bad smell, dirty, sink didn’t work, muggy room. Sketchy area and our window was shattered and only “fixed” with tape. If you use Expedia, don’t buy a protection stay plan because even if you have it they won’t offer you a refund. Staff was decent enough but overall a dirty hotel. It’s worth the extra money to go to a slightly more expensive place. It was gross to even breathe in the room
- Patrick (4/5): - The room I was assigned was an unlabeled room directly next to the manager's office/home. The door was right in front of the bottom step of the stairs. The bed was encased in a bed bug containment sheet, the chair was uncomfortable, the bed was like a slab of wood, the pillows had no fluff, and the sheets had a black stain in the corner. The television was tiny and the speakers were quiet, there was no table or desk, and the refrigerator was disgusting. Furthermore, the bathroom was so cramped I almost couldn't use the toilet and the shower was either freezing cold or scalding hot.
I wouldnt even recommend this to a homeless person.
- David Sheng (2/5): Don’t use this place if u want a Clean place. - 1. Started w a really rude reception claiming that I don’t have a reservation w 2 adult & 1 11 yrs old daughter, he demanded me to show him my reservation of a non smoking rm, thinking that I lied to him, when I showed him our reservation e-mail. He then gave us a totally different smoking room w a disgusting smell of smok which w 2 soft twin bed.
1. No entrance light, broken table lamp.
2. No shower light.
3. Sink don’t drain, we had to brush our teeth in the shower.
4. Floor was so dirty that all our socks were black after walking on it just to enter, that’s how they clean their floor we guess.
5. Wifi signal was sporadic at best.
6. Looks like a slump w unfinished ceiling, and cheap shoddy paint.
7. Upon checking out, you had to because they demanded a $20 (Cash) deposit. The lady was nice by asking how was my stay, I told her the above issues & she just gave me all kind of excuses to say we r sorry we had such an experience.. I would give Hotels.com do their due diligent on their vendors who lie, cheat and try every way to make their place sound like a 1st class experience while giving a slum Lord treatment. Don’t use this place if you want a clean place to stay, we arrived late tired w no choice but to bear the night, we checked out the 1st thing in the am. Never will we be back or recommend this place but to report to authority on its health hazard. A 0 star is not available otherwise it’ll be given..
- Danny (2/5): Disappointed - The rooms looked nothing like the photos, it was in a bad area, trash and non clean rooms outdated, they also charged 20.00 deposit cash they emphasized, the put me in a handicap room. The smoke detector was gone with exposed wires, stained comforter, stained furniture, broken ac that didn’t work total of 6 tv channels, but said they had dish network, it was a TOTAL DISASTER
- Cam (8/5): - Get what you pay for ... the room is smaller than a typical Motel6's ... very small shower stall and equipped with a microwave and a small refrigerator. I paid a little less than I would have to pay at Motel6 so I am satisfied.
Gracias.
- Shawn (2/5): - It gave me the space for the time I was there.
There was bedbugs and staff de
- Michael (10/5): - Nothing
- Joseph (10/5): - Was in town at the Golden1 Center for a four day event. For the location and ease of access to the major city places, it’s conveniently located. The pricing was right, and if you are in town for official business and little time to spend at the hotel save for sleeping then this place is pretty a great deal. Carry some cash. The owners (couple) very personable and responsive. Would surely return.
- Kyle (2/5): Motel with mo’ smelly problems - I’ve stayed at some seedy motels before and this one takes first prize. From walking up stairs I could smell the urine soaked walls. Walking into the room 1 working light. Floor felt like it was going to give way from underneath, bed was disgusting. I hate doing bad reviews but this motel was a nightmare. I stayed inside of it for no more than an hour. I took a quick COLD shower cuz the hot water wasn’t working and quickly left. I cannot believe this place is 1) in business and 2) offered on hotels.com. Staff was very rude at check in as well.
- Eric (10/5): - Lovely
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Sucks terrible smell like cat piss
- Sophia (4/5): - The check-in was pleasant and the location was good, however, the room was muggy and reaked of cigarettes. The air conditioner (mounted high on the wall) never blew out cold (or even cool) air. To stay cool, I slept with a damp towel as a blanket (which definitely helped).
- Andreas M (6/5): - The office was not too promising, I had to ring several times to get a response, and then he did not seem to know how to find my reservation on the computer. He then asked for a $20 refundable deposit, but I didn't have any cash, so he seemed to let it go. Hard to hear him through the glass window. The room was recently renovated and mostly quite acceptable, though there were no lamps in the room, only very bright overhead lights or darkness. I was there for one night and got a decent night's sleep, my expectations were not very high.
- Robyn (6/5): - Front desk attendant was nice. The sheets were stained and many of the surfaces had holes in them. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. Part of the room or the bed was either dusty or moldy because my allergies were really bad.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean but noisy. - Internet wasn't working, so they couldn't scan my drivers license. They accommodated my desire for a non-smoking room, which was nice, but it shared a door with owners unit so I could hear everything. Very noisy until 11pm.
- Yolanda (2/5): - My goal is not to put people out of business. I just hope that American Inn is haled accountable for the conditions that they expect people to pay for. I caution against going to that place unless they are able to rip it down and start over.
- Anastasiia (10/5): - Clean
- Roman (2/5): Nasty - No baby bed, cigarette smoke
- Mai (2/5): - This property is so run down. It’s just a terrible condition overall.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay in a Pinch - The owners are very nice but it was very, very noisy. The room was clean but no bedside table lamp and the only light wasn’t connected to the wall switch it had to be unplugged.
- Ashley (4/5): - There is one bad review on this place and I wish I listened to it. This place is run down, old, and loud. At check in the girl at the front was very friendly but then a gentlemen came up to the window requiring us to pay $20 cash only for a room deposit after the room was paid for already on Expedia, we found this very weird and sketchy. My room was dirty, blankets and pillows had stains, side tables were missing doors, hair on the counter… and to top it off the bed was incredibly squeaky and loud. I wish I was joking about this and I thought the last review was joking but it’s legit no joke and wakes you up when you move in your sleep. This place was inexpensive so there was one positive at least.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Friendly staff, but room for improvement. - The room reeked of cigarette smoke and whatever chemicals they used to mop the floor with. When booking I wasn't given the option of a smoking or non smoking room so I assumed it would be non smoking. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom, but a hole in the ceiling where one used to be. There were cigarette burns all over the bathroom sink. The bathroom was very small, when sitting on the child sized toilet my knees were nearly touching the wall, and I'm about 5'7". The shower head was in a wierd place and made it hard to use. The lights outside our room were very bright white LED's which gave the area a prison feel. There was garbage strewn about the sidewalk in front of the dumpster, but someone did pick it up at one point. I was charged $20 cash for adding a friend last minute to my room, as well as a $20 deposit which was given back to me at checkout, but wasn't mentioned when during booking. Despite all of this, the manager was very friendly and easy to deal with, and readily available to help when I accidentaly locked my key in the room. I probably won't stay here again and would gladly spend double to stay at the Sheraton or Hyatt next time I'm in town.
- Everett (6/5): - The sink burst in the morning and was leaking out of the pipe.
- Craig (8/5): - Because it was so small I didn't expect it to be so charming. Though going through rentiavion I felt at home would stay again Bathroom clean very important
- John (2/5): - I reserved a two bed room and then they tried to put me in a one bed room. Then they tried to move to a room that reaked of cigarette smoke. I told them I would stay somewhere else since they didn't have what I reserved. The owner said he would refund me, but he didn't. I called him the next day and he again said he would refund me, he didn't. This happened multiple times, and I had to spend hours on the phone with Expedia getting a refund. I do not recommend this establishment.
- Ocean (6/5): - I like it
- Danielle (6/5): - More pillows would have been great - only two small ones for two people. But for the price, it was worth it.
- Juan (2/5): - I had a bad experience. The room had no light. The plumbing wasn’t working. It smelled dirty. The sheets and pillows were dirty. They were homeless people outside harassing us. My wife and I felt unsafe and we left and we did not want to stay there and they’re refusing to give us a refund. You guys need to do something about this.
- Ben (8/5): - Friendly staff..
- Jerry (10/5): - It was a peaceful stay beside the traffic it was very quiet the only problem i had was some guy knocking on my door claiming his card would not open his door .i told him i could not help him and told him he had to go to the office. The staff was very friendly and was quick to get me registered.the bed was a little squeaky but i was still able to sleep well
- Duane (6/5): Did the job of innkeeping well. - The hotel was excellent for the price charged. It wasn't the Waldorf but was a affordable, convenient, and welcome place to stay in a time when it seems every room in town over charges by 20 or 30 %. When lookad at with that in mind it was 5 star.
- Emilio (2/5): - I stayed here the other night and before I even had time to unpack, I was chased into my room and threatened by a crazy person staying at the hotel, the owners wouldn’t refund and even sent the police away I wouldn’t stay here if you want a safe place to stay.
- Shane Christian (4/5): - Great location but very cheap for price.
- Adam (2/5): Frustrating - I kept trying to cancel, but the hotel said to call hotels.com and vice versa. I couldn't cancel and got charged for a stay I didn't need.
- Nancy (4/5): - Dirty run down
- Verified traveler (2/5): Water and Safety - I don't like drinking water from the bathroom sink. There was only one sink in the room. The bottled water at the front desk was too expensive. And the water tasted like it was tap water.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was OK
Attendant not so friendly
Asked for a cash deopsit. Did not want to charge credit card.
Had to wait for him to inspect the room in order for me to have credit returned.
