- Heather (10/5): Impressive - The staff were very attentive, especially Sam. On the downside, we suspect ongoing maintenance will be required for very minor things like the toilet roll holders and in our room the wardrobe door didn’t fully shut, so the light shone through; and I wasn’t overly impressed by the breakfast. In spite of those extremely minor issues we would love to stay again. It’s a lovely and impressive hotel in an amazing location - and the focaccia is to die for!

- Richard (10/5): Superb hotel a real gem! - Superb hotel in perfect setting right next to the Castle and a short walk into Alnwick town centre with its full range of shops and restaurants. We had a wonderful stay with friends and being a new hotel (opened in May) everything felt fresh and well presented. Staff were friendly and helpful. Especially the two girls working on the bar in the evening. The bar itself is a perfect way to start the evening and classic cocktails were excellent. The breakfasts were superb too. A bright open dining room with excellent continental buffet and table service of hot choices. My wife and I (and couple we were with) can confidently say that this hotel is one of the best we have stayed in the UK. The price point is also fair and reasonable. Only potential issue (not for us really) is the steps up from the main car park (62). Depending on age and mobility this could prove an issue to some. However, with drop off at the main door of the hotel (bags and less able visitors) I am sure to most that this would only be a minor inconvenience.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great service, fantastic hotel - Fantastic and relaxing hotel. We stayed for our 20th wedding anniversary and thoughly enjoyed our time with you. The room we had was fantastic, clean and had everything you could wish for. The private balcony overlooking the castle made it even better and all of the staff were friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately we didn't have a chance to eat in the restaurant in the evening due to wanting to tick the Treehouse off our bucket list but the breakfast was fantastic. Next time we shall definitely try the evening menu.

Centrally located for town centre and castle. On site restaurant was great but there are also plenty of options nearby.

- Ruth (10/5): 7 stars - Within 5 minutes of entering this hotel, myself and my partner both agreed that we would be back. This hotel is absolutely stunning and the staff can't do enough for you. The room is clean, beautiful and homely and the views are amazing. Breakfast was awesome too and the location is right opposite the castle. The whole of the town is flat so really accessible. We only stayed for one night and we wish we'd have been able to stay longer!

We got a room which seemed it was designed for people with disabilities, it is great to see it has so many things to make it easier and comfortable for them. We did miss on a hot tub which the 2 other couples that we traveled with got in their standard rooms. Breakfast had great selection and staff was pretty friendly.

Room was spacious and luxurious and loved the tick down service at night. Bathroom modern with Jo Loves toiletries and enjoyed the coffee and shortbread on the terrace. The different bars all offered something unique but the Garden Room looking at the castle was my favourite. Lovely attentive staff.

Tracey checked us in and was very helpful and welcoming, even helping with our bags (we arrived late in the evening) up to our room. I’m disabled so it was very helpful. The hotel is beautiful, an elegant modern extension to a period building. Very comfortable king bed, super bathroom with a walk-in shower. Wonderful breakfast. The hotel is right by Alnwick Castle and Alnwick is a very walkable town with lots of interesting shops.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, my luggage was taken to my room while I was out owing to an early arrival, then I was shown to my room when I returned. The food was very good and hot when brought to the table, plus advice on wine selection, dietary requirement catered for. It was very hot during my stay and the air conditioning was great, bed was very comfortable.

- Tom (10/5): Anniversary Break - Lovely hotel, right next to the entrance to Alnwick Castle. The hotel itself is lovely, with helpful and friendly staff, lovely rooms (exactly as described on their website), nice relaxing bar. the perfect place for a weekend getaway. We were there for two nights and decided to eat in the restaurant on our second evening. The food was delicious. My wife and I shared the Chateaubriand and it was cooked perfectly. The breakfast the next morning was also fantastic, with a great choice. The Kipper Hash was a particular favourite of mine. We will definitely go back as there are lots of lovely places to explore in the local area
- Rosemary (10/5): Wonderful Hotel - We really enjoyed our stay at Bailiffgate Hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. The new refurbishment was excellent and the room had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay. The hotel is situated in a quiet corner of Alnwick overlooking the castle and yet only 5 minutes away from the town centre. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We shall definitely stay there again.
