Guest Reviews
- Bryndl (10/5): - This was one of the cutest places I've stayed at. You walk in and it looks like a cozy library (hence the name). There are books everywhere. In front of you is a white board with suggestions and people's comments. In the corner is a very well appointed coffee, tea and cocoa bar. The room was very nice with a great bathroom. Outside is a hot tub, grill and fire pit. The seats were well worn, but still comfortable.
The kitchen was great with a large stove and cooktop. It's the type of place you could stay for an extended period and feel like home. My only slight complaint is that breakfast was supposed to be served at 7. It didn't come out until 7:30.and the milk was expired for the cereal. We were on a bit of a tight time schedule, so it did put a small kink in our plans. But overall, fantastic and I would stay again in a heartbeat!
- Nicole (10/5): - The room was very comfy, clean, and right temperature.
- Jim (10/5): - Thanks 😁
- Lisa (6/5): - On the 2nd day, the hot tub was full of bugs. We contacted the property owners and had someone come out and clean it. Our room was never freshened during the 3 days we stay at this facility. They asked about coming out on the 2nd day, but no one showed up.
- Catherine (4/5): - Shoer had hair in the corners, faucet barely attached, had to use the showers soap dispenser to wash hands. Breakfast is store bought pastries and packages oatmeal. The rooms are small, hot and poorly put together. The rooms doors are to small and leave the hall light coming through all night to leave you sleepy the next day. You can here everyone in fheir rooms especially the beds and the people tall a d the kids screaming. Hotter the heck in tbe rooms, had to keep the window open all night. The front door allows anyone to walk in gueat or not since they commonly leave the front door open all day and night. Lack of comfort, space, and feeling relaxed
- RANDY (8/5): - It would have been better if there had been a proprietor or host to greet us . We felt a little responsible for those that didn't know how to check in. Should we lock the front door? Should we turn out the lights. The breakfast was nice, but would have liked to meet someone who provided it. The rooms were nice
- Robert (8/5): - The Dracula room was fun . Although we could not get the tv to play a single channel not even YouTube. After a few hours of trying we gave up on the tv. The breakfast was awesome as well as the coffee. I would stay here again but make sure the tv worked first. It has a very friendly staff as well.
- Angie (10/5): - .
- Bill (8/5): - Would stay again. Rooms are small but nice. Common areas were nice. Did morning coffee but not the very basic breakfast.
- Glenn (10/5): Great Stay - Very clean room in a renovated home made into like a B&B at the West end of town. The room and bath are small but the bedding is extremely comfortable with a large TV.
- William (10/5): - Great place. Will be staying again in the future. Great experience!
- Teresa (4/5): - This is a really cute property which at first glance was great. My review ratings are related to that but there were some problems. After an easy check-in, it quickly became apparent that sound carries and any conversations in the property can be easily heard including that of late night hot tubbers. The breakfast bar was minimal and appeal lessened by a non-working toaster and non-working, unclean waffle set up. The coffee bar including some item containers which were empty. There is no staff on site, but check in was smooth, and phone conversations were very good. Perhaps more attention good be paid to these details.
- Jennifer (6/5): Cute but frustrating - Room was small but nice and clean. Check-in was frustrating since i was never sent the door code, Room number had changed and since they have no front desk it is all done via emails and text.....except I never got them and had to call 4 times to get someone to answer while awkwardly wanting in the common room. Then the customer service person who was kind and helpful was supposed to send me an after hours door code. Never got it, called later to get it and no answer again, left a voicemail no response. Waited an hour called again, got code verbally for the doors and she was going to send it to me, she verified my phone number to send it to, never got it again. Thank goodness I got it verbally from her or we could have been left locked out.
- David r (10/5): - Great room and kitchen was wonderful and encouraged interaction among the guests.
- Montello (8/5): A quiet and enjoyable experience! Thank you - It was my very first time in Lava and my very first time to experience a INN or a stay like this. It was a great experience for my husband and I as we celebrated our 35th anniversary there, it was super cute. It was convenient paying through the site and very convenient when arrived. The staff was friendly when you call to speak to them. We enjoyed our first time together and experience here! It was far enough to be in a quiet place but close enough to go into town to enjoy the busy streets and activities if you wanted to be in town for all the festivities.
- Kathy (10/5): - Each room has own fun literary theme. Great morning coffee and breakfast items. Access to large kitchen and fridge.
- Laura (10/5): Alchemist Overnight - Great place to stay for a quick overnight stay. Loved the theme rooms and the sitting area. We enjoyed a Fire Dancing show at the sister Hotel - Lost Trail.
- Robin (10/5): - Cute and quiet
- Tonya (10/5): - INN was cute. Large kitchen and meeting area. Each room decorated with a theme. Very quiet in the motel. But the constant trains that went by all through the night woke me up!!! Their horns!!! Yikes! I’m not used to that so my sleep wasn’t good. The train isn’t close by but it’s all in the middle of nowhere so the sounds were crazy! Down the street from lava.
- Leslie (10/5): - Very clean friendly bed comfortable
- Kelli (10/5): Had a blast in Lava!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - My husband and I decided to take the bike on a weekend trip to Lava. We had never been. What a blast we had! From tubing to meeting all of the wonderful people staying at the Library. We had the best time. Cant wait to go back!
- Melissa (8/5): - Check in was great, room was very clean, bed was not comfy and the pillows were rock hard. Our room was by kitchen so it was very loud. Will stay again just not by the kitchen.
- Randall (10/5): Relaxed in Lava Library Inn - Great experience
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Nice clean and quiet place on the edge of town.
Interesting remote check in, room and entry codes emailed to you to gain entry. Our room lacked any hooks or hangers to hang clothes. The rooms are small but adequate. Breakfast consists if coffee/tea, waffles and cereal. Definitely would recommend for single or couple. No children allowed as there is no space for a cot or extra mattress.
- kevin (10/5): - Clean
- Kurt (8/5): - Fun place to stay. Rooms were comfortable. Atmosphere was fun.
- Matthew (10/5): - Cool Place. Retro games and books. New and nice Room smart glass and sweet shower.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Everything was great. Enjoyed the waffles for breakfast.
- Mary (10/5): - Very clean and probably the most comfortable bed I've slept in at a hotel.
- Cheryl (10/5): - Cute boutique, love how unique place
- Ruth (2/5): - I had a health issue and tried to cancel this reservation. I could not get any help so apparently I’ve been screwed out a couple hundred dollars.
- Meagon (10/5): - Loved this place. Will definitely book again for a couples night.
- Rocio (10/5): - The room and the bathroom very confortable
- Alicia (10/5): - Bonita limpia y practica
- Marcia (8/5): Ear plugs please… - Although it is beautifully decorated—a great idea—and the beds are comfortable the walls are so thin you can hear most everything going on around you. Instead of a signed book ear plugs should be provided. (Although we never got the book either…)
Ps—albeit, not the owners fault but we had neighbors fighting at 2am and we could hear all of it as if living in the same house with no privacy or separation.
- Michael (8/5): - Very comfortable, but not as spacious
- Corriann (8/5): Peaceful - Peaceful and quiet the room was nice, i liked the theme rooms but i would have like to pick which room i was in based on the themes. To have the book the theme is based on would have been a nice touch. The hot tub never heated up which was part of why wew chose the hotel.
- Lyman (10/5): - Very nice place
- Ricardo (8/5): - The Shakespere room was good, if you leave the window open, be prepared for the train horns. If they had the A/C optional for guests to set would’ve great. Water in the fridge for guests would have topped off my requests!!!!
- Amber Eggett (10/5): - Love this place. We will absolutely be back. Thank you for everything.
- Jeff (10/5): - Wonderful property great location.
- Janet (10/5): - The bed was terrific- very comfortable and great job remodeling from previous use. The kitchen was thoughtfully appointed with coffee and condiments. The french press was nice.
Suggestions:
Remove the (temple and LDS) stuff
There was a smell that felt "old" - try to remedy that
- Floyd (8/5): - Place was comfortable and clean needs some type of closet or something to hang your coats and shirts. Also, maybe a shelf in the bathroom would be nice for make up bags.
- Lyman (10/5): - Great place to getaway
- Ryan (10/5): - The room was small but perfect for a little quick weekend getaway. Shower was very nice and it was super quiet in the building. It was more like a comfy Air B&B than a hotel and was very nice. Would stay again!!
- Brent (10/5): - Very nicely remodeled
- Nephi (10/5): - This place nailed it to a T! Would definitely recommend to anyone!
