Guest Reviews
- Aaron (4/5): - The lady at the front desk was super nice and very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the area and property itself were a different story. Out room had duck tape holding the door handle on and the bathroom door was broken. The surrounding area smelled of weed and there was a man passed out in his truck next to our room. I wish i had better things to say because the staff was very nice however we ended up checking out the same day we check in and booked a different hotel.
- Minchuan (8/5): - Staff nice
- Rose (10/5): Great accommodations, overall. - The accommodations, though modest, were very comfortable. The parking was in a well-lit, safe area. The motel manager was kind, and helpful, and went out of her way to engage us, personally, and to answer any questions we had.
- KENNETH (2/5): - Unsafe neighborhood
- James (4/5): - Electric outlets were not properly installed. No hot water for sink. Tv not working. Wifi unavailable.
Burn marks on bed blanket. Sheets were not properly fitted. No bedside lamp.
Breakfast condiments not available in morning.
Front desk manager was friendly and gave us another room after our first room had the electrical cord cut off the AC unit. Door was left open and had many flies buzzing around the first room she gave us.
Location was convenient.
- Gary (4/5): - I was charged twice for this stay. I used my credit card when I booked the reservation and was charged again when I checked in. I asked for a receipt but the desk clerk said there was a computer problem and did not supply one. Upon returning home I discovered the double charge.
- Cynthia (2/5): Would not book a stay here again - This was booked and paid for in advance. Our reservation could not be found. It was supposed to be a double room. A room was finally provided. Very small. A bed, one chair, nowhere to actually put belongings except on floor. Air conditioner and heat not working. No internet available. You had to lift microwave to a table the tv was on (also very small). To be able to plug in. Area very sketchy. Door knob was wrapped in duct tape. A refund was offered but I appreciated having a place to stay at least.
- Philip (8/5): - Not the greatest area but the room was clean and the staff friendly. Reasonably close to Glacier National Park.
- James (2/5): - This property listing should be removed. There is no motel at this location except a dilapidated, uninhabitable building.
- Thomas (4/5): A mess! - When we arrived, we found out the motel was not open and we were reassigned to another hotel in East Glacier. We got there and was told that we were once rebooked to another motel in East Glacier. We stayed there. I just hope this all gets charged correctly.
- Larry (2/5): - Don't do it. Go somewhere else. If you need to stay near here, just pay to stay at the casino. This place is dirty, janky and the folks who hang around are sketchy.
- Juan (2/5): - Trust the Google reviews for this property.
The inn is in a poor location, the room smelled weird, there were flies on the window, and we just had an uneasy feeling about the property. We ended up camping at a nearby campground instead. When we returned the next day to return the key, the room had been given to someone else — which was really awkward to walk into…
- Verified traveler (2/5): AVOID AT ALL COSTS - NOT REAL ACCOMMODATIONS. SCAM
- Gregory (10/5): - A good stop for any trip.
- Wesley G (4/5): - When I arrived at the address I was given, I was told that the property was 12 miles away in another town. Area was not great. Motel was run down. Limited internet service. Limited ‘snacks’. Would not recommend
- Mark (4/5): - Went to room and found the wall ac was broken. Management had installed a window ac unit and to fill in the space above the unit they had taped cardboard in. All other motels were full or i would have left.
- Rajubhai (2/5): - Bugs everywhere, no hot water, and loud noises throughout the noise. Please read the other reviews as well.
- Catherine (8/5): - Comfy beds. Fan in bathroom didn’t work. Heater in room didn’t work. Air conditioner in window only had cardboard to protect from outside. Floors felt uneven. Staff were lovely people. Internet PW didn’t work.
- James (2/5): - Don’t bother with this place. They oversold this place & turned me away despite having a reservation. 11pm at night, they referred me to a sister property 15miles away. Had to spend night in my car. Agent at hotels.com was indifferent & dismissive as I seemingly “missed” the check-in time.
- Frankie (8/5): - This is a clean & comfortable stay for the money. Looks very worn from the outside but I was happy with the room, small fridge was very nice.
- Glenn (2/5): - No AC
- Clarence (10/5): - Great staff. Great service. Great rate.
I will definitely stay there again.
- Carl (10/5): - .
- Doug (8/5): Passing through. - The price was right especially for a quick stop. Wendi, the owner, was very pleasant.
No noise after 10pm.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - There was no room available for my family or another customer at the desk. Both had booked online and prepaid. The hotel is a motel that appears to be used as low income housing.
- J (2/5): FALSE Advertising - The amenities listed on line were no where close to what we found. There was no mention of nearby indoor pool. No ballroom or banquet hall. No barbecue grills, no full service spa. The place was run-down, one set of concrete steps were falling apart and a caution tape was placed in front of them. Some windows with air conditioners had cardboard in them. The nearby area was rundown and felt very unsafe. People were running in and out of rooms with dogs. It took about 10 minutes to find our reservation. My family refused to stay.
- Janet (10/5): - The room was sparkling clean and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Wendy took a break from her day to fill me in on events taking place in the area and answered all of my questions about where to shop, eat and sightseeing outside of the national park. Breakfast options were delivered to the room in the evening so we were not limited to specific hours in the morning. This allowed us to eat super early in the A.M. one day and sleep in the next. On top of that, the cost of the room was SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than other lodging near Glacier National Park during peak season.
- colette (6/5): Okay place - ok place
- Lana (2/5): - This property does not exist in Browning, MT. Tribal Police in Browning, MT confirmed there is no such property. Expedia has e-mailed that they will reimburse the amount paid when making the reservation. Expedia needs to take this property out of their database & reimburse anyone else who unfortunately made a reservation with Golden Eagle Travel Agency.
- Jennifer (4/5): - The room and the property were a dump! The ceiling fan wobbled when I turned it on. Fortunately, temps were a little brisk at night, so I didn't suffer that way. The headboard was falling apart. Part of the floor was sinking, and the bathtub had cigarette burns on the rim of it. I'd hate to see what they'd charge just for an average room!
On the good side, the bed was comfortable and I loved the old writing desk.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - DO NOT STAY THERE! Drive 12 hours to get there and no room was available even though I had my confirmation number. No other rooms were available in the town, so had to drive back 40 minutes to another hotel!
- Margaret (2/5): - The PLACE IS A DUMP INSIDE AND OUT. THE ATTENDANT WAS DRUNK. IT WAS DIRTY, DILAPIDATED AND UNSAFE AROUND WITH STRAY DOGS, BROKEN GLASS WINDOWS AND ABSOLUTE DESOLATION. WE DID NOT STAY BECAUSE I WILL NOT EVEN THINK OF LAYING DOWN ON THOSE DIRTY BEDSHEETS. I TOOK PICTURES OF THE WHOLE SCENE AND I AM DEMANDING A REFUND.
- Krystal (2/5): - Do NOT stay here! Bait and switch scam! Filthy, infested, and unsafe! Checked in, had to wait over an hour for my room to be ready even though it was hours after the designated check in time. Lady at the desk (nice lady) said she couldn't find my reservation and asked what name of the business I booked under. Apparently they have 3 names, the hotel name out front is "Going to the Sun Inn" but they have it listed as Golden Eagle on Expedia. Lady said the owner hadn't responded. After actually finally getting a room, and moving my luggage inside the room, I realized how filthy it was. I couldn't find anywhere else to stay for the night, as it was late, so I went to the store and bought my own antibacterial cleaning spray to disinfect this nasty place but omg the mattress was so disgusting! I couldn't even sleep because I kept feeling things crawling on me! Window had no lock and only a piece of plastic glued in to an old broken window pane, so unsafe and unsecured. Had to prop a chair on the door when we were getting bamming on the door at midnight! Left early in the morning, a day early than my reservations! No one in the office, all locked up, even though it was supposed to be open serving breakfast (there was no breakfast but there's no way I would have eaten anything from there regardless, so gross). I took photos of everything, including me leaving the key locked in the room because I couldn't check out at the closed office. No answer on phones, knocking, email, etc.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Inconsiderate & unprofessional - I had a room reserved and paid for here. I arrived about 4pm and found this not on the door, even though the OPEN sign was on. We sat and waited 3 hours and still nobody showed up. There were also 2 other customers waiting as well. We called several times and no answer. I finally left and drove 5 hours to get home. I would also add that this is Browning's busiest time of the year with North American Indian Days going on, so you would think they would be fully staffed wether they had rooms avaliable or not. My room was non refundable so not only did i never get to check in, I lost out on my money. Very unprofessional, do not stay here.
- Cody (2/5): - Buyer beware. This place does not exist. You will show up and not find a sign matching the name because it does not exist. You will find an Office that is locked and a doorbell that nobody responds to. You will see people outside that have been victims of this the same. Read the Google reviews and do not book this place.
- Gary (2/5): - The ID sign out front advertised a different name, I went to the office and waited for several minutes to be served no one else was there. We were assigned a room with loose cables hanging from the TV and staff could not get it to work we had to repack and change rooms. Dogs were hanging around outside and entered our room. We were as.eep at 3am and our door was opened by the MGR. had to prop a chair against the door. The property is very run down and in disrepair.
- Rozan (4/5): - Check in was good but no one available for check out. Said there is charge for lost key but no drop box ir place to return it. Left note in room with key and locked door hoping would realize had left - checked out. Did not want to leave key accessible to others. A little concerned about excess charges after another guest mentioned seeing review about being charged thousands a few weeks after stay. Confusing finding as name is different now is Going to the sun inn. Not Western or Golden Eagle Travel Agency.
- Wanda (2/5): - It took more than half an hour for someone to come to the desk. Then we were told they did not have the room we had reserved avaliable. They had no rooms at all. The office was dirty with a broken microwave. Don't book a room here.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - When we arrived, the front office was closed. Rang the bell multiple times with no answer. Called the phone provided several times and it went straight to voicemail. Could not get a hold of anyone. The motel looked very run down and not in a safe area. We would never pay $220 CAD for that had we seen it in person and wouldn’t stay there even if they paid me. I had personally knocked on a door of the apartment building nearby only to be advised by a tenant that the manager of the motel is “known to scam customers and motel is infested by bed bugs”. After all the attempts to get a hold of anyone we had to go to a nearby hotel and pay another $344 US AGAIN and we were advised by a front desk staff that we were the fourth clients today from the same motel to be checking in in their hotel because they were not able to check in as well and the bed bug situation was also confirmed by them. That place is a scam and Travelocity should not advertise them. No wonder the management advised no refunds in their ad as they know that no one in their right mind would stay there. I want my refund. Thank you
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Would never stay again. Should never be on any hotel web site. Picture doesn’t match the room. No one to check out in the morning. Had to wait 7hours to get towel and tp. Nobody ever at the front desk door was always lock rang doorbell knock on door and nobody came
- Pao-Fang (2/5): - No hot water for showers, only freezing water⋯we stayed
- Phillip (2/5): - This place is the worst!!!!! I would not recommend to my worst enemy . The place was run by meth heads very high on drugs. We reserved the room ove 24hrs advance, when we showed up at 4:30pm they said it would be an hour before the room was ready . I told them I was canceling and. I found a better hotel in a little town of East Glacier. Expedia should not allow them to of rooms on the site.
- Darin (2/5): - Wow, this place was bad
- Darlene (8/5): - The owner and staff provided great customer service
- Larry (2/5): - Stopped to check in. Waited 1.5 hrs. Called available numbers, no answer. Tried to leave message and mailbox was full. Texted through Expedia, no response. Could not take a chance because it was late. Called a other hotel in another town. Got a room and went there. Expedia did refund my money.
