- John (4/5): - The window was broken and would not open, room was very stuffy. Shower was inconsistent temperature and water. It is an old property and we knew that but is was rundown and the electricity didn’t work for about a half hour during check out. The stairwell was pitch black. Would not recommend.
- Tamyris (2/5): - Terrible experience! The room had a TV, but there was no remote. When I called customer service, they told me the TV didn’t work and were completely unwilling to help. The room smelled bad and had little flies everywhere. The bathroom was filthy, with cracked and missing tiles, peeling paint, and no hot water at night. Everything felt old and neglected. We didn’t feel comfortable at all and even preferred using public restrooms instead of our own. I know it’s a budget option, but this was beyond unacceptable. Save yourself the hassle — don’t stay here!

Not a pretty sight if you care about this. In the picture when booked, it showed a different apartment. So, it was a surprise.

- Terry (8/5): - It's not a fancy hotel by any mean. It's in a very old small building right in the middle of old Quebec, so the room is old. But the room was clean, with clean beds and mattresses, and clean bathroom. Only thing I wanted to be improved/fixed was 1. The light on the 3rd floor was off, so it was dark and quite dangerous to go up/down the stairs. 2. Too few wall outlets. I was able to find only one spare outlet to plug in my phone charger in the bedroom. Other than that, communication was quick, location is unbeatable, parking is convenient and just across the street.

- Tom (4/5): - The location is perfect, just a 10 minute walk to Chateau Frontenac, but having to walk up 4 floors, the last with no handrails, was a safety risk for anyone over 60 or mobility issues. The room was tiny and bed pretty hard.
- Félix (2/5): - Very confusing to get to. We were not sure which door to go to. The stairs to get to the 3rd floor were very saggy and seemed very unsafe. No privat le bathroom, no free parking, window that was not closing properly, sheet that were partly stained. It feels like it was definetly lacking maintenance and care. The only thing it had going for is the location in the middle of old quebec and very walkable from the touristic area.

- Peter (2/5): - The bed in this hotel sagged in the middle when 2 people are in it and very hard in the middle. We kept running into each other. Our medical records show we had no back pain issues until this hotel stay. Significant back pain resulted in the first night stay where we did not sleep. This Hotel refused to fix the mattress issue after the first nignt and said they had no other room for us to use. The second night, the back pain increased and we gave up trying to sleep at 5:30 am and advised the hotel we could no longer stay in a room causing us distress and the use of medication for pain. We have traveled the world, been to Quebec City 4 times and never had a bed this bad ever. There was some settlement offered that does not cover the damages or the last minute new hotel we had to book for 2 nights close by at the lowest rate we could find with only one room left.This intial hotel asked us to give them until 9:00 am to solve the problem but they did not. We have never made a complaint against a hotel but did so with Expedia who made the booking for us. We are considering legal action to recover our damages this hotel is liable for. They also ruined a major trip to Quebec City.

I called for assistance 3 times and twice received help; the other time, no answer, I left a message but there was no callback.One of the two lamps in the room doesn’t work.Except for that, the room was fine.

- jody-lynn (4/5): - The hotel is not maintained well. It is run down. Not overly clean. Our room was okay. Not enough towels (no one around to ask for more). Mismatched furniture that doesn’t complement the ambiance of the building. Bed was very uncomfortable. Stairs are wobbly. Carpeting really dirty. Difficult to book as well. On a plus note, it was in a great location. Lots of great restaurants, bars and coffee shops close by.
- Apraham (2/5): - First thing,the hotel was hard to find, no parking for the hotel, 400 meters from the hotel have a pay parking $24 per day, there is no Reception, they check-in site was not working, we had to call to get the code for the door, AC was leaking water inside, 3:00am AC start to make braking noises wake me up, i had to shutdown the AC , it was one plug beside the sink stop working, i aske them to reset the breaker but no one came to do that. In general i will not book with this hotel again , and i will not recommended to otheres.this was my experience.
- Gayoung (2/5): - I would give this place a zero-star rating if I could. I left within five minutes of my arrival after seeing how unhygienic it was. Almost every wall in my room looked like it was minutes away from falling off, the bed was unstable, and the sheets were dirty, with strands of hair found on them. It seemed like the room had never been cleaned since the last guest left. The room I stayed in (unit 7) looked nothing like the photos posted by this property. It was a horrible experience, and they only offered a refund of $125 instead of a full refund. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not for family - Staying with family specially with kids, don’t. Very bad experience with bathroom, there was very bad smell my kids don’t even wants to use it. No proper communication unless it’s 911 situation. No receptions no helpline. It’s ok just coming for sleep but not for family. One more, no AC working and portable has terrible sound. No microwave as shown in picture

Lorsque j’ai eu un problème de clé c’était une anglophone qui m’a répondu. Aussi, le stationnement suggéré ne prenait aucun visiteur, j’étais prise à l’entrée. Il faudrait aviser que le stationnement à cet endroit n’est pas garantie. Par contre, la chambre était propre, bien équipée et très bien située.

Nous étions au rez de chaussée et n'avons pas beaucoup dormi, entre 23h et 2 heures du matin, des pas très forts sans arrets et désagréables au dessus de notre chambre. Vraiment zéro insonorisation!

My friend needed to plug in her sleep machine and there were no proper plugs in the room except one. We had to unplug the TV and drag a cord accross the room. The emergency exit went through our bathroom wich was scetchy and made us feel unsafe. The mini split needs to be cleaned. It was blowing black chunks of mold on my bed. I booked through a 3rd party site so i had no idea how to contact the property and it wasnt like these issues were going to get taken care of while we were there. The rooms needs an overhaul, walls cracked and looking run down. You could tell it was well cleaned so no complaints there. For the price this room needs some work.

Virtually everything was unplugged -- good thing we didn't want the television, because the cord was behind a large dresser and hard to get to. The tiny kitchenette was fine. But the first night the air conditioner leaked all over our clothes and the floor. We cleaned it up but, as far as we could tell, when we reported the leak, all they did was give us some clean towels; they didn't even pick up the wet ones on the floor below the air conditioner. Only one parking location was suggested and it was full. We ended up purchasing a two-night pass to the garage from a helpful shopkeeper across from the entrance. That's below-average service by the hotel. And all communications were done online; no one was onsite. It worked ok, but it wasn't our preference.

- Wendy (8/5): - We booked this property with a filter on requiring parking. This property on Expedia said parking was available. We knew we would have to pay. Being in downtown old Quebec it is very busy with one-way streets and the address they gave for the parking garage was not easy to find. The number on the street was actually a store. After multiple trips around the block in traffic and heat and a few attempts to call them to get clarification, We were eventually told the entrance is at the next block and around the corner. This is something simple that should be told When the parking lot is recommended. The only other issue we had was that the toilet did not flush well. Sometimes it took a couple flushes to even get a small amount of toilet paper down. We did not do anything to plug the toilet. It was like that when we arrived. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable and it was spacious. The air conditioner worked well.

The tv, cable box and fridge could not be plugged in at the same time as their location held only one double outlet. The baseboards were covered in old hair and dust. Three bath towels were left for our three night stay. No hand towels or face cloths were available. We were left with two coffee filters and had to ask for a third. The room was not cleaned during our stay.

- Nathan (10/5): Great location at a great price! - Great location at a great price. The property is older with no elevators, but this was all part of the charm of staying in Vieux Quebec. Staff was very responsive with any questions. There is no reception desk. Check-in information was provided the day of our arrival and for check-out we just notified them via their online portal. There were minimal outlets so I would recommend bringing your own multi-device chargers if that will be a problem for you. Nothing beats walking out the front door right into Vieux Quebec! We would definitely book here again.

- Rhys (10/5): - Location is on the oldest street in Quebec City, a few doors up from the oldest house in Quebec City. A 2 minute walk from Chateau Frontenac and its amazing buskers, around the corner from off the charts 'Le Clan' restaurant, across the street from 'Le Buche' local cuisine restaurant. Truly ideal location. We stayed in 2 converted loft rooms on the top floor - dripping with character - albeit - some came from the 1700s (slanty stairs and original block and mortar construction) and some from the 1970s (you know it when you see it!) but it all just added to our experience. If you are looking for ultra-modern refined Hilton-esque experience then the loft space might not be your gig BUT -if you are looking for awesome location and ambiance that won't break the bank, highly recommend you give it a go.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless location is your top—and only—priority
- Larry (4/5): - This is not a hotel it's a B&B. No staff,no check in counter, nowhere to even stop near a front door on a busy one way street. Nowhere do they tell you the only way in is through an App with a huge safety deposit per room. There are 3 different addresses, 3 different doors (one inside a souvenir shop!!!). No directions to find a parking garage blocks up the street.Then when you finally figure it all out you have to climb 3 flights of narrow uneven stairs with all your luggage to get to your room, where the air conditioner is broke.
- Jeffrey (8/5): - Make sure your phone plan works in Canada, or you will not have access to the check in code for your room. Also, do NOT arrive early since the room code isn't sent to you until just before check-in time. I arrived 45 minutes early and chose to spend an extra $15 for early check in so I wouldn't have to wait around (with my special needs son), but the approval for early check in didn't arrive until check in time anyway. I am hoping the $15 charge will be cancelled. If it is, I'd like to give more stars for the overall experience. Part of the confusion was my fault.

We did not had light in the bedroom, altough I called the recommended number both days to mention that we need a light in the room and nothing happened. Forgot to day, there is virtual reception so nobody to ask for anything really. The windows were broken (bedroom and bathroom) so we were not allowed to open the window for fresh air. There was no ventilation at the bathroom and the window broken.. I would not chose again this hotel also I won't recommend to anyone.

- Olivia Kaitlyn (8/5): - My partner and I stayed here for a quick overnight trip to celebrate the holiday. The location of this hotel was fantastic as you are right smack dab in the middle of Old Quebec. It had prime restaurants and shops and was a walkable distance from pretty much any attraction. Despite being a hotel, there is not a front reception desk and you check in on your own which my partner and I loved as it allowed us to just check right in and start exploring right away. The only thing I will say is that the amenities/ building itself is quite old which is expected for staying in the old part of the city. Specifically the room we stayed in did not have an attached bathroom, but for a 48 hour trip it didn't bother us too much! Would highly recommend for a quick budget friendly trip and will def being staying here again!
- Michael (10/5): - I had stayed here years ago and noticed there’s new management now. The room was spacious and clean. You’re literally 1 minute form the chateau Frontenac. For some reason, the coffee in the unit was amazing I had a great time - def recommend !
