Guest Reviews
- Jeff (10/5): Perfect getaway - Enjoyed our stay nothing fancy but perfect getaway. Just the place quiet and quaint.
I would stay here again.
- Andrea (6/5): Not what it used to be!! - This used to be a great little place to stay for a reasonable price. Since it has changed hands, it doesn’t have the same charm that it used to. They are trying to make this historic little motel into a “resort “, which it is not. The prices are way out of line for no housekeeping services but just receiving replacement towels for what you used the day before. It’s sad because we’ve been coming here for over 10 years and will probably go elsewhere to get better value for the money.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Great little hotel on the beach . Brand new rooms well furnished.
Short walk to the beach and restaurants in the area
- Carrie (10/5): - We had an amazingly wonderful weekend!! The rooms are so beautiful and updated to have the best quality everything and very very comfortable. The staff is very friendly.. the beautiful beach is right outside your door!!
My husband and I are very happy and are making this our new go to vacation home in St.Pete ❤️
- Simon (8/5): - Friendly old Florida charm where you can walk straight onto the beach
- Lenora (8/5): - I loved the fact that it was right on the beach. Bring beach chairs when you come or else you'll have to pay $40.
- Justin (10/5): - Brand new rooms, very cozy. A/C worked great. Pool was very clean. Close to beach
- Lisa (10/5): - Great low key old school hotel on the beach
- Stephanie (10/5): - Very quiet setting and nice private beach . Perfect weekend getaway. Rooms were clean with updated furnishings.
- Sherika (10/5): - Perfect location. Responsive management.
- Donna (4/5): Oops! - The website (and the hotels.com link) do not say that check in is from 4-5 only! Actually, I was told this morning that the office closes at 4:30
And they leave check-in info on the door — also new information. We had to find another place to stay!
- Lisa (10/5): - Beautiful beach access property on St. Pete Beach, FL. The suite was beautifully decorated and well maintained; we will be back!
- Theodore D (10/5): Wonderful hotel! - I loved the hotel! It had an air bnb feel to it. A separate bedroom from the kitchen/living area. It was about the regular size of a hotel, but it was nice to have the bedroom separate from the living area. The staff were amazing! The hotel is right on the beach. You can’t beat the price.
- Jennifer (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at The Beach Haven Resort!! Loved how small and quaint it was compared to the high rise condos. We loved the ease of walking to the beach, restaurants and beach bars. Pool was great to cool off in as well. We had the one bedroom, studio room....although small, it fit our needs perfectly; we were barely in the room. Definitely recommend this resort and would stay here again if back in St. Pete!!
- Andres (8/5): - Good
- Michael (10/5): - Beach Haven is very nice!
- donaldo (10/5): - Comfortable and organized, we will be back.
- Richard (8/5): Could be better - Overall, the property was nice and it was convenient. The rooms had been recently updated however, not the bathrooms. They were small and the shower was the old tile and it was dirty. Also, there were some hairs left from the previous occupant that were not cleaned from the basin. The bed was OK but the pillows were like cement squares. The biggest problem was the AC. You could not tell what the temperature actually was, but if I were to guess it never got below 80° in our room. Since it was not actually an emergency, we decided to wait until morning to discuss with the representative on staff and they were quick to point out that we were using it wrong although we followed the instructions on the check-in paperwork. They were allowed to waive the resort fee because of our discomfort. It was a pleasant stay because it met our needs, and it was a quiet place on the beach. One thing to note their checkout time is 10 AM so if you do book through a third-party verify with them what time your checkout will be because on this site, it states 11 AM.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice hidden gem on the beach. We enjoyed our stay despite the rain. Property is well maintained and has direct access to the beach. Highly recommend.
- Melinda (10/5): 4th Anniversary ❤️❤️ - MY HUSBAND AND I CELEBRATED OUR 4TH ANNIVERSARY♥️♥️ ON THE BEACH
THE HOTEL IS VERY NICE... QUIET AND
PEACEFUL..THE BEACH WAS SO RELAXING
- Ashlee (10/5): - Truly had a wonderful long weekend stay. Was very clean, quiet & right on the beach with so many activities for the kids. If we needed anything Rachel was there to help us. She even showed us her cute little set up she does for beach picnics (adorable! Highly recommend)
The absolute only downfall was the very narrow ally to get to the back parking of the property but it was manageable after the first try!
We will absolutely be back soon !
- Rohany (10/5): - We hade a great time in the villas The Beach Haven Resort!! The Place Was clean, spacious, quiet, convenient and the Staff and service were excellent and very friendly.
Thank you!!! :)
- Sally (10/5): - The bed was extremely comfortable! I just think they should put two full or queen beds in each room instead of one king. If I would’ve taken my grandkids or sons, I don’t think they would want to sleep in the same bed with their grandma! Ha Ha I was by myself, so it was OK. That would be my only complaint.
- Jacob (10/5): - Great tucked away hotel for quality peaceful beach time.
- Virginia (10/5): - Close to ocean!!
- Virginia (10/5): - Location, location, location!!!
- Jose (8/5): - Parking is a little tricky
- Fernando (10/5): - Loved that this resort is next to the beach, also its really close to Publix if you need anything
- Tara (8/5): - Bed was comfy! The little pink compound is shady at night, code and room number were taped on the office door for anyone to see. Shower pressure is not good.
We had a blast and the pool was nice. Beach is super close and clean. 2 rooms are tiny as is the bathroom. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
- John (10/5): - Very nice and quaint place
- Lori (10/5): The best spot on the beach! - This little gem hidden away on St Pete beach was a complete surprise. It’s nice that you can walk out the door and either jump in the beautiful pool or take a short walk to the private beach that isn’t overly crowded with people. The rooms are all updated and very clean. There is a kitchen in the room and a large refrigerator so bring your groceries and you won’t have to leave.
The one negative is that the pop machine doesn’t work not a big deal at all.
We will be going back many times hopefully.
- ashley (10/5): - Cute little property. Close to lots of dining. Pool onsite which is great and access to the beach and outdoor games.
- Susan (10/5): - Small quiet location. Great for families. Easy beach access and nice pool.
- James (8/5): - Pool was slightly green for the 1st couple of days then pool guy came and did maintenance and next day was fine. Other than that clean property overall and everyone was really friendly, cleaning room staff was great when you needed towels etc. Great location to be able to walk to food, shopping
- Victoria (10/5): - This place is like the 1950's motel. Its unique, tasteful, and up to date. I definitely enjoyed my stay. As a matter of fact, this will be my yearly birthday trip to this location. It felt like I was at home instead of a hotel.
- Tracy (10/5): Perfect Place for a Beach Stay - Even better than we expected! Small, quaint, and extremely nice. Everything seemed new and the bed was very comfortable. We plan to come back!
- walter (10/5): - Great place to have some memories with family friend and more
- Paula (10/5): - Very well maintained vintage motel. Perfect beachfront location. Comfortable beds and air conditioning.
- Barbara (10/5): - Wonderful old Florida style property. Very clean with updated room. Used local transportation, Sunrunner, to downtown and the Freebie shuttle on the beach. Great restaurants within walking distance
- Anastasia (10/5): Cute af and clean! - Was super hard to find the "alley" where you have to park, but overall was such a CUTE and friendly place, 10/10 on the location as well. Walkable to my favorite beach restaurant Crabby Bills. Highly recommend!
- christopher j carmignani and cynthia l (8/5): - We had an awesome time. Beach access was in credible. Staff was excellent. Tv didn't work and parking is a bit tricky and annoying. Plenty of convenient stores and restaurants within walking distance.
- DENNIS (10/5): - We had a great stay!
- Julie (10/5): - Super clean ! Only thing missing was cups in bathroom.
- Haymee (10/5): - Clean all restaurants are at walking distance quiet and beautiful sunset
- Janice (8/5): - We really liked Beach Haven. It was old school, small but cozy. The ladies in the office were both very helpful. Location is wonderful-walking distance to the beach. Plenty of places to eat at.
The worse part about the stay was the parking situation. There aren't enough spots for the guests.
- Henry (10/5): - Place was nice bed was comfortable right on the beach
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Beach Access, Not a Resort! Older Property, Small, but Clean
- Andrea (8/5): - Parking was hard but stay was peaceful and awesome.
- George (10/5): - Best kept secret!!!!!
- Scott (10/5): - Awesome
- Brooke (10/5): - Very charming little beach resort. Has everything you need and the staff were very friendly and polite! Extremely clean! Super happy with our stay.
- Martha (4/5): - I like the beach access and the pool, but the room was very small. The bed was hard as a rock and the bathroom was very small and I didn’t like paying the $25 for amenities like the pool the grill the ping-pong table I would assume all that was included with staying there for the night my mistake
- Jen (10/5): - We thoroughly enjoyed our nice, relaxing stay at Beach Haven! The newly renovated rooms were clean & had all the essentials. The property is right on the beach, is beautifully landscaped, and had all the amenities necessary to provide that home-away-from-home feeling. The staff were very helpful & accommodating. The location is perfect- we walked to dinner along the beach. We will definitely return to Beach Haven. All you need are your swimsuit & flip flops… Enjoy! ☀️
- Melissa (10/5): - There was absolutely nothing I did not like about this property it's a nice little piece of heaven as far as I'm concerned I love it love it love it I will so come back and stay there again I can't say one bad thing about it I really can't I was so happy I mean it is right on the beach and it's not big it's got like 18 rooms I think so it's very quaint it's just a highly recommend it
- Donna (10/5): Comfy Retro Stay - Incredible! This place is very retro, yet everything inside each private cabin was new. Very comfortable bed. Lots of space (but small bathroom). Plan to go again soon.
- Patrice (8/5): - The new owners are doing a great job to bring life back to a vintage property. It's good to see St. Pete Beach alive, but there is a lot of damage still around the area. We had a studio room and a vintage bathroom. We want to check out the remodeled 1 and 2 bedroom units in the future.
- Derek (4/5): - I added a day to my reservation by calling Beach Haven directly back in February. They waited until May to let me know that they cancelled the extra day, which caused me to have to stay at another hotel for my first night.
They allowed my to check in early the next day, but it was into the smaller room and my reservation was for the larger one with the kitchenette. The larger room I paid for wasn't available until the next day, so their poor booking policies made me have to move twice. They refunded the resort fee to correct this, but my vacation was already half over by the time I was able to stay in the room that I paid for months ago.
I was planning on being able to cook some of my own food for my family using the kitchenette and the larger fridge to store it, but I wasn't able to and wound up spending a lot more money on take-out.
- Laura (10/5): - Loved the quaintness and location of the place. Also, the cleanliness.
- Keith (10/5): - Rooms were clean, with everything appearing to be new.
- Danut Gelu (10/5): - Great place to stay.
- Niki (10/5): - This place is a hidden gem!
- Denise (10/5): - I was able to get checked in early. My room was super cute. Just steps away from the beach. Great location near restaurants and shops.
- christopher (10/5): - When you book a hotel online or a resort, you really have know what’s going to get . My wife and my flight got in late at about 9 o’clock and we got to hotel at about 10. The hotel had all of my information for my room. Take to the office door very convenient door to get into the room at 10 PM at night. The rooms were extremely clean. The resort was well laid out and put together in the beach was wonderful. We have already talked about booking our next visit to this hotel when we stay in Tampa or Saint Pete. They had a great area for grilling a great area for sitting poolside and a great area for sitting by the beach.
- Juan (10/5): - I little gem at the beach!
- Terry (10/5): Perfect place to stay on the ground floor - Quiet and right on the beach. Updated rooms. Nice pool and plenty of extras such as a grill, pool, beach chairs and beach volleyball. Parking was tight but everyone managed.
- Nicolas (10/5): - Nice place, close to beach and lots of restaurants/bars
- Tonia (10/5): - Such a cute property! The rooms are cute and clean. The staff were so friendly. I had originally wanted to stay at a different mitel but this will be my first choice next visit. Loved it.
- Shelby (10/5): - Such a cute property! Nice pool, there’s plenty of rocking chairs to soak in the beautiful views, and the shortest walk ever to the beaches :)
- Barbara (10/5): Perfect for romantic getaway - Had a wonderful 1 night stay celebrating our 1 year anniversary. The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The pool was nice as well, we didn't get in but sat by it for a little while. Perfect beach access.
- Gerald (10/5): Better than any condo, best on the beach!!! - This place is a little gem. rooms have been completely remodeled. we had our a/c go out in the middle of the night which I believe was the last one they were replacing but had us in a brand new room in minutes. right on the beach, ping pong table, hammock, pool and grill! service was great and their maintenance man is fantastic!
- Ashley (10/5): - Location, location, location! Cute little cottage-motel that’s hidden amongst the big condo buildings. The rooms are newly renovated and the ease to get to the beach and pool are incredible. Highly recommend!
- Susan Elaine (10/5): - I absolutely loved The Beach Haven Resort! It was a quant little resort from the 1950-60's but modernized. I don't like crowds of ppl so this small resort was perfect! The staff was very pleasant as were the other guests. Everyone was helpful & polite.
My only 2 complaints would be in regards to the parking, it's a very small lot & narrow alley to get to it. And we couldn't find a remote for the bdrm air unit so it was quite cold (the temp was set at 66° for that one room).
The whole vibe there was perfect for me! If I could buy that resort & live there I would! Can't say enough about how wonderful our stay there was!
- Melissa (10/5): - For an old property, it was recently redone and was quite clean. I was pleasantly surprised.
- Anne Marie (10/5): - Cute property
Clean room with large, comfortable bed
Quiet and friendly
Excellent beach access
- Lora (10/5): - The Beach Haven was with in walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Great place to stay!
- Gary (8/5): - Noice at night by other occupants was overwhelming every evening. There were no apparent attempts to control this by staff as apparently none were on site.
- Elizabith (8/5): - This property is beautiful and lowkey. Has great sized rooms right on the beach with a pool for a great price. The check in and out were seamless. They had dishes in the room you could use, also a fridge and microwave. The only con was they did not have their smart TVs set up and the remotes weren't working well and the wifi wasn't working for us. However when you are in this beautiful, vibrant area you don't have much time for TV anyway!
- Jeff (8/5): We will return. - The room was incredibly clean! And the location on the beach was amazing.
- Denise (10/5): - We had a great stay at this resort. Just with I could have stayed later. It’s super cute and quaint. Steps from the sand. Has a ping-pong table and hammocks which my kids enjoyed.
- Susan (10/5): - Retro
- Terri (10/5): - Small but mighty! Perfectly appointed everything you need for a lengthy or one night stay.
- Mari (10/5): Best place ever - This place is perfect- I met wonderful people who have stayed there for years.
The people were great and the surrounding area was beautiful.
The staff was so accommodating I was able to park my car and get to the beach early. One of the staff does picnics on the beach she was so incredibly sweet.
I can’t think of a better place to stay I parked the car and walked to everything Publix restaurants an incredible gyro place nearby- I loved it!!!!
- Debra (8/5): - The property was good. Did have some issues with pool turning green because it was so warm. Rooms are all brand new. Housekeeping was awesome. Our tv in the bedroom never did get fixed and we let them know. Even though it’s directly on the beach it’s still overpriced even for spring break.
- Michele (10/5): - Cute retro property with brand new interiors. Staff was friendly and helpful. Guests were predominantly retirees, so it had a quiet intimate feel.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Charming resort right in the beach. - This property is perfect for a low key trip to the beach. The rooms are completely renovated and comfortable. The resort has a great local neighborhood feel to it and we will definitely be back. Sup glad we stayed here.
- Patrick (10/5): - A hidden gem.
We already booked our reservation for next year.
Staff was fantastic from the front desk, to the housekeeping and maintenance staff.
Love the location.
Thank you to the owners.
- Amelia (8/5): - The stay was great! Premier access to the beach and a great location.
- Cia (10/5): A little gem - Quaint, cute and clean
- amy (8/5): - This place was a little hidden gem, I’ve been walking by it on the beach or driving by on the road for over 20 years and I’ve never noticed it. Our bed was comfortable and our room was very clean and quiet. Would definitely stay here again.
- Kris (6/5): - The unit wasn’t exactly as picture portrayed on line, smaller, no closet or rack to hang clothes, AC but NO heat. It was not quiet at all. Driveway and parking treacherous, flooded. Entering or exiting drive or road parking was so dangerous. I was able to borrow a hair dryer but unable to plug in the bathroom.
Resort fee was $25 per person; WiFi worked poorly, pool looked nice but weather prohibited use. Charming tiny place, but wouldn’t have booked if photos weren’t misleading to size. Not interested in returning.
- Troy (10/5): - This charming property is in a fantastic location, with everything you need within walking distance. It's the perfect spot for a couples' getaway, offering a peaceful and intimate setting for quality time together. The heated pool adds to the relaxation, and the owner and staff are incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of big resorts.
- Gavin (8/5): - Quaint
