Guest Reviews
- Shannon (10/5): - This was a perfect affordable option for a weekend concert, the room was very small but the bed was comfortable and the room was super clean and the decor is really cute. The virtual check in is quick and easy. No coffee maker in the room, but Starbucks is just a couple blocks away and the surrounding area is safe and walkable. Convenient local to Burbank airport and rose bowl.
- Justine (10/5): - My husband and I really enjoyed staying here. We only stayed for one night but will come back next time we are in Pasadena area for an event. We were able to check in early which was very nice. They have a kiosk with a live concierge on the screen. She was very friendly and the process was fast and easy. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. There is some freeway noise but it wasn’t too bad. The price was a huge bonus- super affordable.
- Abel (10/5): - Good
- Jennifer (8/5): - I would stop here again! The check-in process glitched for me: it's a kiosk in a phone booth sized room with a computer screen and remote front desk (in the Phillipines when I checked in). The women on the other end was great, but signal was bad, had to call me on my cell phone instead and scanner would not take my license- used my passport instead, which I don't normally carry... Took about 15 min. to check in. Room is small, but new and clean, quiet, good AC, fridge in room, great hot shower- just tiny overall so not meant to hang out there, just sleep and get ready to go on your adventure. It felt safe and I took an early am walk in the neighborhood just south- lots of shops etc. walkable a little way down the road if needed.
- Carly (10/5): - Very cozy, aesthetic, and safe !
- Robert (10/5): - Limited guess parking
- Belinda (2/5): - just no
- Addison (8/5): - I like staying at the LEEF hotel when I am in the area, it’s affordable and very clean however, parking here is not convenient. I went to a Universal Studios event and arrived back at the hotel around 12AM, I paid for onsite parking and the only parking spot available was a handicap. I called the hotel multiple times (since there is not an actual person in the lobby) and finally got a response back. I asked him if it was ok to park in the handicap spot because I paid for parking and there wasn’t any spaces. He gave me the ok but told me I would have to move it by 7AM or it was going to get towed. Don’t oversell your parking!
- Audrey (10/5): - Clean
- Hau giang thi (8/5): - The room service is great and room is nice and clean, BUT there is no sound proof! I stayed for 7 nights, the last night was nightmere, the room next to me is screaming at 2am, i have to bang on my door for them to stop but they did not :)) should have add siesta time or something
- Andrew (8/5): - Room was very clean with upgraded plumbing and electric. I only stayed overnight as it is close to Glendale Adventist hospital. The virtual check in process is through a kiosk which was unfamiliar to me and took longer than expected. Traffic noise from the street was easily blocked by the in room fan/ac.
- Tuan (10/5): - Love the newly remodeled unit. Checking in and out with the remote agent on the kiosk was unusual but very easy and convenient.
- Mi K (10/5): - Great experience
- Jenny (10/5): - Easy Check-In | Cleanliness |
- William (8/5): - Clean, basic room at a good price; good location walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Minor room improvements made it better than last stay.
- Bob (8/5): - Well maintained property, comfy bed, easy parking and convenient location. Should consider adding a microwave and coffee/tea maker.
- Marion (10/5): - Lovely well appointed room, good location and facilities
- Jason (10/5): - I didn't realize this property has a virtual front desk. It worked fine. There was a 2 min wait when I arrived but it was easy to do (just like an airline kiosk but it's a video call with a real agent). The motel is VERY nice. It's a 10 or so unit motor court with very newly redone units. Nicely furnished and appointed. My only confusion was the amenity kits at the lobby are extras. I wasn't sure if I needed to grab what I needed for my stay (You don't). I would have liked 2 things different for my room. The window shutter didn't close fully and there was a lot of light leak from the outside. And the bedside lamps are a glass shade so they have pretty direct light. That's a style point. I would absolutely stay here again. It's super convenient and I am glad to know about it.
- Jack (10/5): - N/a
- Darrick (10/5): - Small place with no frills but clean and quiet
- elizabeth (10/5): - It's obviously not fully staffed a lot of DIY, including the check-in, but if you are OK with that for the price, it is very nice and clean.
- Derek (2/5): Wouldn’t stay again - They charge for parking which is not mentioned in the ad. The AC unit is extremely loud and the room is too hot without it. They also have more rooms than parking spaces, so you may not get one, even though they charge you.
- Alberto (8/5): Clean and comfy - Clean hotel I didn’t know it was owned by Glendale hotels now! Great stay but I feel like they robbed my for parking they guaranteed parking in premises and they over sold it so they made me park and walk from Glendale hotel
- Julian (2/5): - I booked a room my payment didnt go throw and they said if within 30 minutes i dont update payment method they were going to cancel amd they still took out payment for the room and i didnt stay there
- Nicholas (10/5): - The room at the LEEF hotel was really cozy and the size of the bed was perfect for my partner and I’s weekend getaway to visit Universal Studios. The aesthetics at the property are refreshing and Tulum-esque, which I appreciated, although it was rather a shame that a physical front desk was not present on site. Check in took close to 30 minutes upon arriving at the property, as the electronic video check-in system was incredibly slow.
- Melissa (8/5): - Modern and clean
- thomas (10/5): - all as expected. the virtual check in worked fine. found it to be a reasonably priced option for staying in greater LA
- Kenneth (6/5): - It was the basically just a clean bed and bathroom and nothing else. No chairs, table, coffee maker. A TV that was antenna channels only. The fridge didn't even have a freezer. No is no staff besides cleaning. Check in is virtual. It's an old Motel back in the days when parked a motor car in front of your room. Hence Motel. But they still charged to park your Motor car. It was nice to park and walk 20' to the room door. But if you want enexpensive and a a place to sleep this is your place.
- TANISHA (4/5): - Upon arrival I knew there about no actual person in the lobby. Cool talking to a person on screen, clearly in a foreign country. I was cool w paying $10 per night parking until returning 1:45am (after being stuck in Downtown Disney's parking lot for 2 hours, ridiculous!) out of the 15 no parking w available. I called customer service b/c the kiosk would not connect. When answered I was put on hold, the gentleman was checking in someone. It was obviously somewhere else b/c no one was in the lobby. He told me to park across the street and would credit $10 (I also asked if maintenance been in to fix the shower - that's another story - He said yes). The lot across the street happened to have o
1 spot available. The other thing that I was not happy about was the shower NOT working. I googled everything about the shower faucet to get it to turn on. Nothing. It would not pull away or rotate. I went out to the lobby at 5a, talked to customer service, she said she would get someone to fix it. I had to leave by 730a, my daughter and I had to rinse at the sink. Returning at almost 2am from a long day, sleepy and tired all we wanted was a hot shower, and it was still not working. I called customer service again, got the same guy I was discussing parking with and told him the shower had not been fixed. He said he would call maintenance. I say no, it was after 2a w no arrival time to fix. I was not offered any compensation. I will not be returning.
- Joaquin (10/5): - Check-in process was smooth. The room was comfortable and spacious. The location was located near a variety of restaurants and stores.
- Gary (6/5): - All good outside Hotel still not close to where I needed to be (Not Hotels Fault - Mine) Virtual Check-in was a horrendous experience and could not use A/C (massively loud) other than that, pain that there was no microwave. Safe area, bus transportation close, and numerous places to eat within 20 minute walk and a supermarket were nice things, so 3 out of 5 stars for me
- Felicia (6/5): - The room was tiny but very clean. The only issue we had was the A/C unit was SO LOUD that you had to turn the tv volume up 3/4 of the way to be able to hear it then when sleeping it is so obnoxiously loud it made it difficult to get a good nights sleep. Aside from the A/C noise the property was very quiet.
- William (4/5): Needs Improvement - I’ve stayed here several times over the last year. Some experiences have been OKehile others less than impressive. This last stay was less than impressive. The room had no chair-just the bed. I went to the Virtual Check-in to request a chair and was told “that was stained so we removed it.” I asked about a replacement and during my 4-night stay never got a chair in the room. Additionally, the trash bins were overflowing when I checked in. I asked about having these emptied just to limit the rats and raccoons. Two days later the bins were emptied. It’s usually not this bad, but based on my latest experience I would not recommend this place. They have some work to do to get it right, or better.
- Ally (6/5): - The floors were filthy! The AC was super loud but i mostly dont care about that. The remote staff were nice and called to see if we wanted a room cleaning which i appreciated. The price was right and it was fine for a budget option.
- Paulina (8/5): Very nice - The hotel was very nice & perfect for what we needed. The bed was very comfortable & the TV was perfect for a little movie night for a night in. Parking lot is a bit small. We came back after a night at Universal Studios & there was no spots available, but we were refunded the night’s parking fee & were able to park across the street at the sister hotel.
- Jibril (10/5): - Really great space
- Gigi (8/5): - The porch lights on the property are incredibly bright and the shutters on the window do very little to darken the room at night. I recommend an eye mask if you are sensitive to this. Also, the AC unit in the room was VERY loud. Lastly, the bathroom was ridiculously small (like a motor home or trailer size.) Just things to be aware of.
- Nathalia (10/5): - Clean
- Daisy (10/5): - it’s nice
- Michael (4/5): - Upon checking in I was charged $20 a day for parking plus $150 refundable deposit. Since booking with Expedia I have never encountered these hidden costs. The room was fine but the bed wasn't very comfortable
- Diego (10/5): - Very quiet, nice clean room
- Phoebe (2/5): - The cleaning staff didn't help when requested. And the parking lot doesn't fit large vehicles. Also there was little privacy with strangers walking by the hotel window.
- Kyra (8/5): - Small, motel style rooms located right off the highway. Everything was clean. Bed was a but uncomfortable and squeaked with every move. Decent stay for price
- Patricia (10/5): - Beautiful, clean room
- Narek (10/5): - The hotel property was very clean, nice and quiet but the area was too noisy
- Deserie (6/5): Clean, no frills, noisy hotel with weird check in. - Check in time was 3, room wasn’t ready until 3:40. Check in is done virtually which was strange. Rooms are small and clean however the cleaning odors were very strong. Bed was comfortable . The air conditioning is very noisy however this helped to drown out our neighbors who decided to talk loudly outside in the parking lot and in the rooms. In addition, they went in and out of their rooms dozens of times leaving the doors to slam repeatedly. Because there is no management on site, there is no one to complain to about the noise.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Sleek, modern motor hotel - Great location, very clean and modern furnishings, efficient. At first the virtual front desk threw me, but it was just as efficient as any other hotel. I would definitely stay again at this boutique hotel/motel when in the area!
- PHOEBE (2/5): - There were no elevators, the parking entrance was unsafe, and there was little privacy. Strangers were constantly walking by the window. The cleaning staff didn't help, but they charged my card almost $200 in a cleaning fee after I left. I want a refund.
- MENGYING (6/5): - A few cockroaches in the room, and a lot more out on the street. Horrible. Besides that, it is okay. New decoration, nice virtual check in.
- Adrian (8/5): - Great stay clean and not expensive
- Emily (10/5): - Nice stat
- Catherine (8/5): - Ok. Pretty basic. Would love it to be more eco friendly. Really would have also liked glasses and ice. We were really thirsty and no where near by to grab cold water.
Virtual assistant kinda cool but also a little freaky. Would like to know if the assistant was remote or AI. Would have helped in terms of how to interact.
- jack (10/5): Positive experience. - Room was clean, have working TV , frig , hot water and parking space. I did not have to park outside. Though the bathroom was small, it could be slighter bigger so it is easy to move around. The location was safe and quiet. Overall, I would stay again and it is in a location close enough to many places I want to go. Thanks
- MARIA (10/5): - The room itself was small but cute. The rooms have no microwave and no ice machines on site. Its a self check in and the internet was not the best so it did take us awhile for the virtual assistant to check us in. The area is very sketchy. A lot of homeless right outside the hotel.
- Fabi (10/5): - Like the decor.
- Sandy (4/5): - I wouldn’t recommend the stay never did they mention to pay for parking when booking and checking in they said 10$ a night I came back to my room at some point at night no parking available I had to park on the street so parking is t guaranteed but still charging guest? The staff member we spoke to about the parking seemed like he didn’t car he was rude no type of customer service skills I would not book her again the floors are dirty very small room
- Surina (8/5): - It’s a cute hidden gem. The room was cute and clean , updated appearance. Also different you check in with a kiosk.
The only issue is maybe I didn’t see in the description is that there is a 10 dollar parking fee. It took me back in the checking process it asked for the parking fee .
- Ernesto (10/5): - Great place to stay. Enjoyed the easy check-in.
- Valeria (10/5): - Clean and very modern
- Sally M (8/5): - I stayed 2nights to attend a course in LA. The room was very clean , adequate space, new condition, close to some restaurants. It did well the job. Check in was done virtually in a kiosk !!. Easy steps to follow. Air condition was functioning well but a bit loud. There is an inside cul de sac kind of for parking and rooms were circling around it. It made it easy for me to ride Uber.
- Gabriella (10/5): - Comfortable and safe. Would stay here again
- Denise (10/5): - Everything was super clean and easy to check in. The area is decent and I felt safe. I parked my car outside the hotel & was not worried about it at all. Only problem we had was our room door not opening on our 2nd night but other than that everything was good.
- Mher (10/5): - I like that near exist a beautiful park and staff professionalism.
- David (10/5): - Will stay again soon
- Kevin (8/5): - The only bad thing I can say about this property is that the rooms are a little small.
- Shaun (2/5): - hire a front desk person. get more parking spots
- Eddy (10/5): - I was genuinely surprised how nice this place was. 100% will stay here again : ). Not the biggest fan of the deposit BUT as long as you don’t do anything out of the ordinary totally worth it
- P (10/5): - it was nice !
- Arlene (6/5): Average - Loved the comfort of the place. Just wish there was a smart TV, or a desk to work from.
The place was super clean, comfortable & safe.
The 10$ for each day for parking was a little ridiculous! One night we didnt even have parking.
- Scott (8/5): - The remodel of this property has made it quite comfortable and nice
- John S (10/5): - The Leef Hotel is a very charming, little place. It's clean, recently renovated, modern and quiet.
The 'remote' desk clerk was a little unnerving at first but once I started talking to them, it was fine. There were cleaning and maintenance staff on site every day I stayed there. I never felt like I was all alone or unsafe. If I ever visit Glendale again, I will definitely stay at the Leef.
- Clint (6/5): - Super small rooms and awkward check in
- Marcos (10/5): - Gh
- Rowena (8/5): - Checking in takes forever esp when there’s someone before you.
- Andrew (8/5): - One thing that I did not appreciate was paying for parking and then returning at the end of the night to every spot filled. Had to park on the street which would’ve been fine had I not paid to park in the lot.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The price was good, room was clean and had all the basic amenities comfortable bed. Only drawbacks room too small and lack of parking space, also it was a charge for it.bed
- Enide (10/5): - Multiple available restaurants near the hotel. The hotel offered privacy and the rooms are clean with comfortable bed.
- ridge (10/5): - Very small and not over crowded. Very private and no disturbance. Early check in was also at a very reasonable cost. Thank-you.
- Chance (8/5): Its was decent - Room was really nice very small but freshly renovated. Not a fan of tge 150 dollar deposit it was more than the toatal for my room. Tiny parking lot but all in all not bad
- Joy (10/5): - Convenient, well taken care of, and easy check-in process with virtual assistance
- Sandra (10/5): - Loved it!! Would definitely recommend this place.
- keith (6/5): - It was old and bare bones. The check in process was like an AI bot. The place it old. But it was clean and ac worked.
But AC was loud. Bed was warped on right side.
Shower was modern. Place was very small.
It was sufficient, but not with any amenities, especially not having a lounge and a person to speak with.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It is not a typical hotel. Check-in is via a kiosk which went smoothly enough for us but I imagine if that malfunctioned it would leave some people stuck. The parking lot is small and even though we paid for parking, it was full when we got there. We were able to talk to the virtual clerk who cleared us to park in the handicap just for the night. The room itself is small but clean.
- Robert (8/5): - Overall, it was a very good value.
The room was exceptionally clean.
The outdoor sitting area was pleasant & peaceful.
I didn’t like the fact there there was no ice & no coffee maker.
The code to the room stopped working but I think that was a fluke so I’m not holding it against the hotel
- LEONIE MAE (10/5): - Clean, quiet, newly renovated, easy & convenient parking, very reasonable rate on a Monday night.
- Robert (8/5): - no contact with staff, just a virtual kiosk check in. Hair dryer in room did not work. AC noisy, and TV remote hard to work.
Room clean, bed nice, plenty of outlets, nice cold fridge.
but no space in small bathroom. Was fine for our one night stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A totally fine stay as a solo traveler with a friend staying with for a few nights. I didn’t spend too much time in the room, but big things to note are you have to request cleaning service before 11am each morning (I did not use this so cannot comment on the quality). TV channels were super limited, I wasn’t watching much TV but don’t expect much if this is important to you. Biggest con was the bathroom would smell like sewage every time the light/fan was turned on, once we figured this out we wouldn’t use the light in the bathroom. My feet were black after walking around the room so it seems the floors haven’t been cleaned in a while. Pros were comfortable bed, decent rate, great location as I wanted to be near Eagle Rock, large mini fridge, and a Ralph’s grocery two blocks away. Heads up— you have to pay $10/day for parking which is not disclosed in the hotels.com listing. I declined and parked on the street, just pay attention to street signs. Overall, was fine for a solo traveler that wasn’t in the room all too much, but probably better for 1-2 night stay (I stayed 7 nights).
- Scott (10/5): - Newly renovated. Simple but nice. Didn't feel like a motel.
- Cecilia (10/5): - Overall pleasant experience
- Logan (10/5): - This place was clean and the self-checkin with Carl was awesome! Doors use a code for in&out and the A/C kicked ass!
- Julianne (10/5): - Perfect small room for a weekend getaway. Really nice remodel compared to what the hotel looked like before it was redone. Outlets on both sides of bed. Nice full body mirror. Nice big tv.
- Jesse (6/5): - Bathroom and room were lovely however I did not feel safe here at all. Since there is no staff people are free to behave and treat you however without consequences. Luckily the room was nice since I was too afraid to leave it because of how aggressive other guests were.
- IVAN (10/5): - there was not enough coffee area
- Caritina (10/5): - Very clean hotel. Easy access to check In and out. Will stay here again
- Danissa (10/5): - Everything was so clean
- Jazel (10/5): - I like how clean it was
- kai (8/5): - clean
- Stephany (10/5): - Cute little place, check in wasn’t too hard as there is no actual staff. The bathroom wasn’t the cleanest(hair in shower) but overall a perfect last minute stay.
- John M (10/5): - There is nobody onsite, it is virtual check in which although I didn't have any issues with I was not aware of this prior. Other than that the room was very clean and quiet - in fact the benefit of this place is no upstairs neighbors making noise all night and keeping you awake. The cons for me - the room was quite small with no table or seating area, and although there is a flat screen TV there was a very poor selection of very basic cable channels and no apps to stream from your laptop or phone. I wasn't thrilled with this however considering the price and how quiet and clean the place is I would stay again.
- Bralynne (10/5): Would stay again great price - Great and clean place rooms smelled nice and a great price and very modern.
