• walt (10/5): - We had a great time. The room was exactly what we had helped for. It’s not fancy but it’s very clean and comfortable. We were right downtown so it was easy to get to everywhere we wanted to go.
• Maria Christina (10/5): - Jeff (hotel staff onsite) was friendly and professional — from when my husband arrived to when we departed. We really enjoyed our stay at the Julian Lodge, especially the proximity to Main St. where all of the shops and restaurants are located — everything is walkable! Next time we are in town, the Julian Lodge is where we will stay and recommend to all of our friends and family!

I have no idea why they are asking for more money. I looked at the invoice and they are overcharging the room. I hope you will look into this. This manager was completely in a wrong job. A guest comes here to get away from a busy life and relax, not to see the aggressive face of the hotel manager..

My sister and I also took the tour at the California Wolf Center and the Eagle Mine. The staff at both areas were quite knowledgeable. What an experience!
• Robert (10/5): Relaxing and comfortable!!! Come see Julian!!! - So much space, we loved the sitting area so we could chat late at night! We had a great time, some first-timers and they loved Julian. I come almost annually and this lodge is always amazing! The ice machine is great - allowing me to bring goodies home, thanks again!!!
• Drrew (8/5): - Smack in downtown Julian, Main St. is just around the corner and everything is pretty accessible by walking. We stayed in a quaint room that was clean with two windows and a fan unit. Antique-looking wooden furniture and a cozy bed. Coffee in the office in the morning, and of course breakfast within walking distance. Parking was $10. The desk attendant was very kind, the area was very quiet. Reasonable price too for two college kids.

The only reason For a 4 star rating was the fridge froze Our food and drinks, the coffee was stale and the curtains were pretty light and we could see others waking by and they let light in early in morning. Lastly, we were traveling with our dog and put on the top floor (as did others with dogs we noticed) which made it hard to get up and down in a way that felt safe- taking her out at night was harder because of this as well. All of that said, none of these things would prevent me from staying here in the future because of the friendly service and perfect location.

• Elizabeth (8/5): - It was older and cute. Management was super nice. The only negative was that the air conditioning was super loud and I had to turn it off to sleep. Otherwise, I would stay there again. Nice location just around the corner of main street.

• Shannon (8/5): - It’s exactly what it claims to be! It was clean - there were fruit flies in the bathroom, but everything we could see was clean, and the room smelled strongly of cleaner. It was quiet, and check in and out was easy. The beds were comfortable. We couldn’t figure out the tv, but didn’t end up needing it. Overall, it’s no frills, and fine!

• Daniel (10/5): - I booked this lodge through expedia,for my wife and my 10 year wedding anniversary, and I was not disappointed the building was obviously old but the rooms were redecorated and were in great shape, Our room was extremely large and very comfortable, the staff was very accommodating, they even called as we were on our way down to advise us the room may not be ready due to a staffing issue and to take our time. We would definitely book a room there in the future.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Laid back weekend getaway - Quaint hotel located walking distance to all the restaurants and shops on main street. Has a dedicated parking lot making it convenient to spend time around town. No vending machines or room service, but there are stores nearby. Hotel is wooden 1800s style, so there are no elevators available. Room was small but clean, perfect for an overnight stay. Water, Wifi and tv worked fine. Staff was very hospitable and even helped with recommendations for stargazing at nearby locations. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would definitely visit again. So if you're done with the fast pace of busy resorts, and want to spend some time recharging in a quiet country setting, visit Julian outside of apple picking season and enjoy a stay at the Julian Lodge.

• GERALD (6/5): - The bathroom faucet leaks and constantly drips. The air conditioner should have been on prior to us arriving. Two of the lamps in the room were unplugged. Lighting in general was poor. There was a plastic spoon left on the floor that was broken into several pieces. WiFi only works if you're in or near the hotel office.

• John (8/5): A great location for a Julian visit - For the most part, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. A separate router was provided to boost the internet connection. Thank you for that! The lighting in the room did not lend itself to comfortable reading. Overall, the two night stay worked well for us. The location is only a block from Main Street and all of the great shops that make up Julian.
