• George (8/5): - My wife has had her left knee and right shoulder replaced and lower back surgery and need a shower or a tub with hand bars. This room gave us that but the bed that was not much over a foot high was just plan terrible. I don't think a person in a wheelchair would be happy with it. We have slept in sleeping bags with more padding. This was terrible for a 250 lb. woman. I won't book with you again if you don't have a room with a higher bed and still have the type of bathroom we had.

• Jaime C (6/5): - My check in was easy and the front desk clerk was excellent. My room was spotless and looked newly renovated. I checked in late in the evening after a day of helping my son move and got straight in to my pajamas. Once in bed I realized the TV didn’t work. I reached for the phone to call the front desk and found no instructions on the phone to call. I wasn’t getting dressed again, so now, no TV and no phone. Once I fell asleep, the room got too cold, so I turned the temp up on the thermostat to find the heat kicked in! Then it would get hot and I’d turn the temp down and I’d freeze. It was one extreme or the other all night! There was nothing but the thinnest coverlet on the bed. Finally, after hoping to sleep in, I was woken up to glaring sun at 7 am with no means to block it out other than the blinds which were already completely closed. The hotel had promise, but it’s clear they have much to do to get it together. What a shame.

• Sarah (8/5): - The room was clean and spacious. I liked that there was a separate seating area at the kitchen, a stovetop, full size fridge, sink and dishwasher. It was kind of noisy with the doors that people were going in and out of, although I know the hotel can’t help that. The area around the hotel isn’t great. The guy that checked me in wasn’t the most pleasant. I went to checkout at 4am and no one was there, there wasn’t a bell to ring, a number to call or a sign of any sort. If I needed to stay here again, I would, but it wouldn’t be my first preference just based on the area it’s in.

My only complaints would be the lack of local TV channels (ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX) on the television and the fact that the doors in and out of the hotel lobby do not open or close on their own.

• Peter (8/5): - Located very near Carrier circle so there is a bit of road noise on the side of the building I was on from Carrier circle. There is also no tractor trailer or trailer parking on premise. All the parking spaces were car size. I had a transit van which stuck out a bit but was ok when I parked it in a far corner. The rooms are spartan. I could find no way to get the TV to play shows or movies as there are no instructions posted in the room. All in all was a pleasant stay. The hotel is pretty full most of the time so reserve in advance.
• Sarah (10/5): Overnight family stay - Very nice, clean, new hotel at a great price. Safe neighborhood conveniently located near dunkin and a gas station. Spacious room. Only inconvenience was no black out curtains. Our room faced a metal yard with bright spotlights on at night shining into our window. Would definately stay here again
• Michele (2/5): Keep driving - 1). I didn’t get the room I booked because they had sold out of that room. 2). Because of item 1, I was supposed to receive a discount but I was charged full price. 3). The self service check in did not work. It would state “all set” but then nothing would happen. This happened multiple times. We tried calling for assistance but it only rang to the front desk and no one was there. 4). We waited an extended period of time for someone to show up at the front desk so we could check-in. 5). After unloading our things we noticed the bathroom wasn’t clean. There was urine in the toilet bowl and all over the toilet seat from someone who appears to be very dehydrated. I was advised the cleaning staff had already left. They did put us in another room. 6). New room was on the first floor next to the vending machine. I heard the ice machine come on and off all night long along with intermittent beeping all night long. 7). Walls are paper thin. We heard doors opening and closing as people were leaving the hotel beginning at 4 am. 8). The smoke detector is above the bed and flashes every few seconds. I didn’t notice this until I tried to sleep. At first I thought I was experiencing a medical emergency (detached retina) until I realized what it was. It is currently 6:30 am. All I wanted was a good night’s sleep. I should have kept driving. My daughter is hearing impaired, which she stated was somewhat of a benefit under these conditions. She couldn’t hear the beeping.

• Jeremy (10/5): - This is a brand-new property, which is something I always love, offering large rooms with a nearly full kitchen at a very reasonable rate, just a 15-minute drive from Downtown Syracuse. The only issue I had was with coffee. Every hotel has a small coffee maker in each room with packets of coffee, or at least some method of making a hot beverage. Since there is no breakfast or food of any kind available on-site (except for an oddly stocked vending machine), we planned to have coffee in the room. I called ahead about this, and they offered to have a coffee maker placed in the room. It wasn't there, and when I asked, they said they were all lent out. So I walked to the Speedway about five minutes away and got coffee. Later that day, they delivered a drip coffee maker to our room. We were psyched - we had brought a bag of Peet's and some milk. The one thing we didn't have were filters, and the hotel provided none. I suggested they get a reusable gold filter for each of their coffee makers, which would solve the problem. So, it was Speedway coffee for our stay. Note: they do have a coffee machine of a sort in the lobby, but it was often out of service or being cleaned. Otherwise, a great stay and we will definitely return!
• Lakeila (2/5): - **Expedia Review for LIVEAWAY** ⭐️☆☆☆☆ (1/5) I had a disappointing experience at LIVEAWAY. After a long 10-hour drive, I arrived around 10 PM, only to find that the only room available wasn’t cleaned yet. The front desk staff did their best to understand my frustration and even offered to help clean the room. Whilestill unacceptable he wasn’t at all rude. I recognize that it wasn't his fault. However, this situation turned out to be somewhat of a blessing in disguise. As we were leaving, we noticed a neighborhood hotel surrounded by state troopers, with guests outside as if there had been some disturbance. I’m grateful I didn’t end up staying there! While I appreciate Expedia for providing a $60 credit, I still cannot recommend LIVAWAY based on this experience. If you’re looking for a reliable and comfortable stay, it’s best to look elsewhere.

The security is great using your room key to unlock doors to get to the elevator was amazing. Other than that check in was really easy and the room was great!

There's no easy restroom in the lobby and only one staff member when I checked in. I asked to use the restroom right away due to an emergency, but the door was locked and the staff didn't really care to help me providing the keys. I was waiting about 15 minutes with this emergency until I gave up and just asked to get my room because it would be faster. The room looked nice but cleanliness was average (dust on furniture), and there are no blackout curtains, which made it hard to sleep once the sun came up. I had an incident: a huge puddle of water in the kitchen area caused by the fridge being left open. The fridge was soaked, full of ice, and unusable. I asked the front desk for another room, but was told it wasn’t possible because I booked through Expedia. They promised someone would come clean it within 15 minutes, but no one ever showed up. After waiting 2 hours, I cleaned it myself, and later the water returned, damaging some of my belongings. Expedia was helpful and contacted the hotel, that said they knew about it, but wouldn't do anything. hotel refused to offer any refund or even a small gesture to make things right. That’s what disappointed me the most, not the incident itself, but the lack of care. Honestly, if management had at least tried, I would have still rated this stay 5/5. But since they didn’t, my review is reasonable & fair
